About That “Girl Burning an Obama” Shirt Viral Video…

viral-marketing

The video is going viral on conservative sites so I thought that it might be a good idea to provide some context.

Carey Elizabeth Wedler is Adam Kokesh’s girlfriend. Kokesh is a radical anti-war activist who worked with Code Pink and MoveOn.org. He briefly had a TV show on Putin’s RT propaganda network.

Wedler has been pulling the “I’m no longer an Obama fan” routine for a while now over the usuals for the Ron Paul crowd, mainly drone strikes on Al Qaeda terrorists.

Like Kokesh and the rest of that crowd, Wedler is a sick twisted individual filled with hate for her own country. You can see a sample of that in her post after the Boston Marathon bombings: “The Victims of American Terrorism”.

What if the reporters of the corporate media spent their hours detailing the lives and interests of children bombed in Pakistan or Afghanistan? Children who loved sports, playing outside (when there seems to be no risk of a drone attack), and their parents…

It would be a shock, if instead of making excuses for the soldiers who lose their minds to PTSD and the general horrors of enforcing occupation, the media recognized the humanity of the civilians they violently murder…

The sad deaths of “all-Americans” and perfect daughters evoke particular sympathy and compassion among American nationalists. However, the same journalistic focus, when applied to horrific US foreign policy, might mobilize public opinion to put a stop to the much bigger, more systemic plague of innocent death at the hands of the US military…

Carey Wedler isn’t attacking Obama from the right, she’s attacking him from the left. She feels that he hasn’t done enough to surrender to terrorists.

Wedler’s performances resemble the brainwashed productions of LaRouche Youth and their Communist predecessors. There is that same rigidity, inappropriate intensity and air of denunciation. That same sense of a young brainwashed person spewing hateful diatribes that they barely understand and whose implications they don’t even begin to grasp.

  • A Z

Long War Journal counts the civilian deaths in Pakistan due to drone strikes. It is not what the anti-war left makes it out to be.

    http://www.longwarjournal.org/pakistan-strikes.php

Al Qaeda and the 9/11 hijackers did not give one whit about Women or children when the y planned their attacks. Carey Elizabeth Wedler has much to atone for.

    • Daniel Greenfield

That’s the same anti-war left that claimed the US killed millions in Iraq

      • dlws8607

That’s the same pro-war right that claims the US has the right to nuke any country that a CONservative president does not like.

        • Daniel Greenfield

Oh look, it’s the Paul blimp

          • Tommy Maq

            Yes, definitely a parody.

        • Real American

          Obama, Bush, no difference.

  • Aurelius

So that nutjob is upset with Obama because he isn’t far enough to the Left? Incredible. Once again, context is everything.

    • J.James

NO the nut job that wrote this artical is up set that Both her and adam love there country and dont love obama any more. or neocons either. Obvisloly the writer of this non sense hit peace is in love with bush and obama phony so called war on teorrer that is not any thing to do with fighting terror and is designed to take all Americans freedom and liberty away and this guy seems to love tryany sold to us on the false promise that the goverment loves us and just wants to take all our rights away so it can protect us from the boggy men that it creates and fund. SO in other words he loves the goverment and hates America and hates American citizens.

Yeah, This is the mantra of the Neo-Fascist.

        • J.James

          Bite me

          • Tommy Maq

            So, that’s a ‘yes,’ then?

      • Daniel Greenfield

Nothing says loving your country like hating it.

        • Anonomyous

You can still love your country but hate your government.

          • Daniel Greenfield

That Boston Marathon post wasn’t the work of someone who loved their country.

          • DrSique

No it wasn’t and, if this ditz had an ounce of common sense, she would know that many children cannot play in the Middle East because they live under sharia law. No art, no music, no school that isn’t imam approved, no life that isn’t spent working in a field with only five breaks per day…………spent praying. Americans brought play, laughter and education to the poor in the Middle East. Maybe she should visit.

          • Daniel Greenfield

These people don’t actually care about kids in the Middle East. They’re just vehicles for their hatred of the US.

          • Tommy Maq

Sure you want to tell us that much about yourself, Daniel?

You should google ‘shadow projection’ so you can _begin_ to learn what happens when you make things up about people.

          • Daniel Greenfield

“Sure you want to tell us that much about yourself, Daniel?”

Are you sure you aren’t just projecting?

          • Tommy Maq

            I’m quite sure you were.

You can easily recognize when you’re shadow projecting (the correct term for the accusation you tried to tu toque with), using the time-tested method that anyone can apply; when you’re making up some BS about people, you’re dredging up that BS from inside YOUR head.

            Got it?

(Nice attempt to turn tables, aka retreat into denial because you know you’re busted. And by ‘nice’ I mean like the Old English ‘nyse’ meaning ‘fool’ from the Latin ‘nescuis’ meaning ‘ignorant.’)

          • Daniel Greenfield

It seems obvious that you’re projecting here.

          • Tommy Maq

Sorry, Daniel. There are criteria, and you’ve met them, and I haven’t, as the audit trail proves absolutely.

            https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/tu-quoque

If you haven’t bothered to look at that record, then your denial tactics are still working as advertised, keeping you stupid.

            - slow clap -

          • Daniel Greenfield

Well if you insist on projecting, then I can’t help you.

          • Tommy Maq

Trying to turn tables is a denial tactic, proving you have no case.

Sorry, Daniel. There are criteria, and you’ve met them, and I haven’t, as the audit trail STILL proves absolutely.

            https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/tu-quoque

If you haven’t bothered to look at the record, even though it’s *right above where you’re reading now* then your denial tactics are still working as advertised: keeping you from honestly facing the evidence, aka from learning.

            - slow clap -

          • Daniel Greenfield

If denial is your thing, go with it.

          • Tommy Maq

Trying to turn tables is STILL a denial tactic, proving you STILL have no case.

Sorry, Daniel. There are STILL criteria, and you’ve STILL met them, and I STILL haven’t, as the audit trail STILL proves absolutely.

            https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/tu-quoque

If you haven’t bothered to look at the record that proves you’re full of crap, even though it’s *right above where you’re reading now* then your denial tactics are still working as advertised: keeping you from honestly facing the evidence, aka from learning that you’re full of crap so that you can stop.

            - slow clap -

          • Daniel Greenfield

I’m sorry that you would rather attack me than deal with your problems.

          • Tommy Maq

I’m not the one displaying problems FOR THE FIFTH TIME.

Are you playing dumb, or is it real?

          • Daniel Greenfield

Typing in all caps may make it into DSM VII.

          • Tommy Maq

            So…it’s real. Got it.

          • hiernonymous

You do fall back on that “projection” canard with some regularity. As you employ it, it’s simply polysyllabic Pee Wee Herman: “I know you are, but what am I?”

Your original comment – to the effect that people don’t care about their kids in the Middle East – is simply absurd, and pretty decent evidence that this is a topic on which you are a bit unbalanced.

          • Daniel Greenfield

            “to the effect”

          • Jayne Martin

You seem to like throwing out one liners. Even when someone takes the time to earnestly convey their thoughts and beliefs, you cut them off at the knees by tossing out an ugly insult. There is rigidity in your thinking and no depth to your writing.

        • http://www.comcast.net/ Karen L

You are really out there sir. We love our God and our Country. Can’t fix stupid voters that elected Obama and are now wishing they hadn’t voted for him. Our country is GREAT – Obama wants to ruin it for us all and that includes you. Sorry to burst your bubble.

        Idiot, Here are the
corrections that any fifth grader could make.

Goverment should be government, up set
should be upset, artical should be article,
adam should be Adam, dont should be don’t, there should be their, obama should be Obama, obvisloly should be obviously, tryany should be tyranny, any thing should be anything, peace should be piece.

I think you or at least most people should get the
        point,
you are too stupid to write anything publicly. Below is your comment
with corrections, please learn. Did you make it out of the fifth grade?

No, the nut job that wrote this article is upset that both
she and Adam love their country and don’t love Obama any more,or neocons either. Obviously the writer of this nonsense hit piece is in love with Bush and Obama’s phony so called war on terror that has nothing to do with fighting terror and is designed to take all Americans freedom and liberty away. This guy seems to love tyranny sold to us on the false promise
that the government loves us and just wants to take all our
rights away so it can protect us from the boggy men that it creates and funds. So in other words he loves the government and hates America and hates American citizens.

        • GrimmCreeper

          Well done.

        • pjsolarz

Spelling and grammatical errors do not change the content of the message. Some people have nothing better to do than copy and paste into WORD for a spell check in an attempt to discredit an idea.

        • Tommy Maq

          And “Both” should be ‘both.’

Now that you corrected it, did you have some critique of the point, or did you waste even more time than the OP?

        • Jayne Martin

You are a first class bully. And it is truly amazing that you took the time to type all that out and for what? Did it help in any way to fill up your soul? A very sad display.

Obama is black bush. Bush was just a white Clinton.

Carey Welder is a libertarian. She used to be a liberal but she’s not anymore. She’s pro-gun and pro-free markets.

  • UCSPanther

These gutter trash have been trying to come crawling back to relevance since outside circumstances crushed their Iraq War era narrative.

    • dlws8607

Wrong. Just because War Bush is no longer in office does not mean he is absolved of all of the guilt associate with his crimes against humanity and war crimes. Of course, I doubt that you have the intelligence to critically
evaluate War Bush’s actions and the damage they did to the US and the
world. Further, I would say someone, like you, who claims to speak for “most people” is the one who suffers from severe mental illness.

      • UCSPanther

I’m sorry, but we can’t hear your nonsensical rambling over the echoing rifle fire in Crimea right now…

Thanks for proving my argument right.

      • Guest

What about Obama’s war crimes, which are as numerous as Bush’s? Libya? Killing an American citizen and his kids with a drone strike, and with no due process? I never hear your type talking about his crimes, you all are just still hanging on to 10 years ago. Time has moved on, and your replacement for Bush, the Nobel Peace prize winning Obama is no better than Dubbya. It’s quite hysterical how hypocritical you Obama droids are.

    • Real American

Because Obama pussied out and decided not to pursue any charges. No doubt scared of a future administration doing the same to him.

  • laura r

that adam person is obnoxious, like his entire group.

  • No RNC

Certainly no fan of Kokresh or his slutty GF but I’ve found LWJ to be producer of disinfo. BTW, attempting to resurrect GWB & Co’s illegal interventions in Iraq & Afganistan is a fool’s goal. Most of the rest of the world has fully realized the entire 911 event + afterwards effort was a criminal conspiracy & those responsible must be punished.

  • Gee

She should be sent to Iran and see how liberal Muslims are

    • Daniel Greenfield

She’s the Samantha Lewthwaite type who would probably eagerly wear the Hijab and chant Death to America.

  • ObamaYoMoma

the media recognized the humanity of the civilians they violently murder…

Here’s the problem with her pathetic analogy: In Islam everyone is a jihadists in one form or another, even the women and children, which is why they too often volunteer to become human shields, and then if they get killed in the process, they get to skip purgatory and go directly to Allah’s version of carnal paradise. Indeed, dying for the cause of Allah makes them Shahids and there is no higher honor in Islam. Maybe if she would stop blaming America first, ala Ron and Rand Paul, the fog would clear long enough for her to realize how stupid she has been. But I doubt that will ever happen.

    • J.James

You need to get off the obama juice and wake up the whole us funded and designed fake war on terror is meant to take away all of America’s rights and freedoms and destroy our country.

  • No Idea Who This Is

I’m a conservative. I hate our government. It does not represent the people, only a small circle of the most rich and powerful in the world. There are no democrats or republicans, only those interested in getting a piece of the pie before the ones who really run this world eat it all up.

    • It’s almost over

Very true! And I think she made the same exact point in her video!

They all suck and only have one motive…follow the leader or get kicked out of government.

    • dlws8607

Do something about it if you hate the government so much.

      • Mlucid

Way too late for that, Pally. Might could have done something before Clinton gave away the media to Multinationals (a foreign company like Sony owned a major US news outlet? Right.) with the Telecomminications Act of 1996. But now? Forget about it. There is no organizing anything.

Look at all the fragmented crap above. You can’t get 6 people to agree on anything, much less a movement. You need a Free Press that collates and organizes the information an interprets it in the best interests of the majority with open discourse and people of character. Last time we had anything like that was the late 50s through the early 80s. Hell, as late as 1980 CBS’s 60 Minutes could walk into any board room on the planet and strike fear in the hearts of CEOs everywhere. So the CEOs bought CBS and no you have OJ Simpson car chases instead of investigative journalism.

Give it up. Until things get really ugly (collapse of the dollar) and people hit the streets, nothing is going to happen. Nothing. You are powerless in the grip of Big Money. They bought your Govt. out from under you while you were cheering Ronald Reagan to the tune of Iran Contra, and finished it all up by the time the jets slammed into the twin towers. You are meaningless. You serve the Oligarchy. You better cling to your illusions (and your job) as long as you can, because it’s not going to get any better any time soon.

        • Tommy Maq

One can plan for the day power returns to the streets, by teaching people the proper moral system, so they won’t just fold to the next smooth talker.

          • Mlucid

So where does one find a road map for the proper moral system?

          • Tommy Maq

It’s not a map, it’s principles, and they are still the same ones that have worked all along.

“Do what you say you’ll do” and “accept the consequences of your choices” all by themselves, will do in a pinch.

          • Mlucid

So tell me, after you abolish your govt and setting in with your new morals, how do you convince the standing military (or an invading one) of the superiority of your principles? Leaflets? Gandhi-esque patience? Outlaw radio?

          • Tommy Maq

So tell me, have you still failed to learn that leading questions aren’t honest curiosity? Or is there some other reason the previous answers to that exact same kernal of curiosity didn’t penetrate?

          • Mlucid

Oh, please. Go find your chew toy…

          • Tommy Maq

            Nice dismissal, aka retreat.

          • Mlucid

Have you quit beating your wife?

          • Tommy Maq

I was criticizing you for presenting leading questions instead of honest curiosity. It makes you look pretty stupid to whine about it instead of admitting only you have done so.

          • Mlucid

            ZZZzzzzzzzzz.

          • Tommy Maq

Dismissing the feedback by which you could discover and eradicate you stupid mistakes is still working as advertised!

          • Tommy Maq

” Until things get really ugly (collapse of the dollar) and people hit the streets, nothing is going to happen. ”

That was your context. Nobody talked about ‘abolishing the government’ except you, and that was you changing the question, aka lying, aka making sh*t up because you didn’t like the answer you’ve been given, but couldn’t think of a reason to consider it incorrect because it wasn’t incorrect.

  • matt

I think I must have missed the “hate” part of her “diatribe.” Can you help me out? Sounds like she was saying the media should honor the deaths of all innocent people, not just Americans. Was that the hate?

    • It’s almost over

Totally agree with you. This girl did something most would never do out of fear of retaliation from our government. Burn a t-shirt of Obama’s face. But now this site is bashing her for doing what most wouldn’t do.

This site and this article is a joke…and no different then MSNBC.

Killing is killing. These wars are about oil and the Petro$. Not about humanitarian efforts. She’s right and this article is wrong!

      • Daniel Greenfield

Anyone can burn a shirt. Not just anyone can support Al Qaeda.

        • It’s almost over

America is evil. In fact the US government and the CIA still supports Al Qaeda with guns and money.

Not just anyone can support Al Qaeda? You’re right. Only American can.

          You do know this, right?

Or only cute little girls support evil…!

Again, there’s so many sheep in America. No wonder our government is free to do whatever it wants!

          • dlws8607

And who played an instrumental role in creating Al Qaeda? The CONservative gawd, Ronald Raygun Reagan.

            Nice try!

          • Daniel Greenfield

Then why complain about drones? They’re just CIA Al Qaeda agents being killed.

            Right?

          • GrimmCreeper

This is getting way too easy.

Wake up! You’re still asleep. Next thing you’ll believe is the drones that kill Americans in America are terrorist…

I also work with Muslims and I have a good relationship with them. Like most people, about 80%, we all just want to live our lives and be left alone.

FYI…Wall Street has made record profits under Obama….

Keep drinking that CNN, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS koolaid….I see it’s really good.

            Thanks for the laugh!

            Take care

          • ameer jabril

explain then why the dow jones always takes a hit everytime Obama makes a speech about the US economy? Wall street investors r scared of the man whether u and other Obama hating racists like to admit it or not.

        • Mlucid

Like Al Qaeda is anything but a limp noodle. They got $100K from US intel via Paki spooks to run the commercial jets end of the op and you sit there like they thought of it all by themselves. Without the intel money an Mosad to soften the sites and run the Anthrax end of it, You’d still be yapping about Clinton’s blow job.

          • Daniel Greenfield

Sheeple. You actually believe there was a jet?

It was all done with holograms. Watch David Icke and educate yourself about what’s really going on.

            Ron Paul for President

            Yawn.

She was saying that America was evil, its soldiers are killers and that the dead at the Boston Marathon were blowback.

If you want to know why the hate, ask her.

      • It’s almost over

The two “Boston bombers” were set up by our government.

        • Daniel Greenfield

Just like every other terrorist attack ever, right?

          • It’s almost over

9/11, Oklahoma City, 1993 World Trade Center bombing, SandyHook shooting.

Hopefully you’re starting to wake up.

The government creates the problem, then creates a solution and then solves the problem by taking more of our liberties away! And the people fall for it every single time. (Are you?)

Do you see our liberties are being taken away for the sake of security. If you do then you’re starting to understand.

          • Daniel Greenfield

Don’t forget Pearl Harbor and the Battle of Concord.

            CIA was behind both.

Fortunately Taliban patriots like you know the truth.

          • It’s almost over

Isn’t Amerika still funding the Taliban Patriots with money and guns? But it’s not to attack the U.S., no! It’s to overthrow more governments in the Middle East so the U.n. can put their own puppets in to continue selling oil for the petro$.

Isn’t Amerika still in Afghanistan protecting the popping seed crops to sell to drug lords? Troops have already came back home and exposed this.

You don’t get it. It’s all a lie! It always has been and it always will be.

          • Daniel Greenfield

It’s all a lie… except the stuff you believe.

            Right?

          • It’s almost over

Right, everything is a lie. But for the few of us trying to expose the truth we meet people like you and say, “wants the piont in trying.”

Just research the few things I’ve posted and find out for yourself.

You need to back away from the koolaid and try to have some common sense! This government is corrupted to the core.

          • Daniel Greenfield

Is there a faint remote possibility that you’re the one drinking the kool aid?

          • It’s almost over

I was at one time. That’s how I know when someone else is.

Believing for one second that our soldiers are doing anything honorable is your first mistake! I’m not implying they’re not brave and deserve recognition, but to think our government has sent them to war to fight the (terrorist) boogeyman is your biggest hurdle you must overcome. They’re NOT..! That’s the one big lie I had to come to grips with. Once I did things started to make sense.

Soldiers are there because they enlisted and signed up for it. But that doesn’t make the reason (killing terrorist?) a justified war. More and more soldiers are waken up to this. Either through the internet or letters being sent to them.

            Research, please!

          • Daniel Greenfield

Never mind…I really don’t care. Watch the video and make your own reality….not someone else’s. And after that video watch another and another then read and read some more!

That’s called researching and critical thinking.

You should know better than trying to convince the jackass writer of this pile of neo-Nazi (how ironic that the new Nazis of the planet are Jewish bankers) propaganda.

Your article sounded like a personal hit piece on this young woman, yet why? Because she told the truth about Obama and how the system works? Everything she said in the video where she burned the Obama shirt was true. There was no hate. You sir are a twister of her words. As a 66 year old life long democrat who voted twice for Obama, she spoke for me. My eyes have been opened by the Presidents actions and inaction. I too feel betrayed.

  • Luke Nichols

Totally thought her video made valid points. Just wish she would have mentioned; fraudulent social security number. Fraudulent birth certificate. No transcripts from where he attended Columbia, nor any person, or professor even remembering him being there. And so on and so forth.

    • Daniel Greenfield

I’m talking about what she said of the Boston Marathon massacre by her Jihadist pals.

  • L8apex

This girl seems to have had the ah-ha moment. After the shirt burning, she explains that its GOVERNMENT that is the problem – one too big, one with too much power. She is now against the current system because its too big.

These are the founding principles of being American. Look it up. Its under “US Constitution”.

When will your ah-ha moment be?

  • Larry Buck

By the way, I’m not a fan of Obama by any means, but I am a
fan of the United States. These USA

    nationals want to come here.

    • Mlucid

That there are worse places to be is easily laid at the feet of our own economic and foreign policy as well as our corporate hegemony. You might need to stop taking the easy way out and start looking at the context behind the over-simplified rhetoric.

How is the antiwar left a “friend from the other side”?

          • objectivefactsmatter

The administration is an enemy of the state because it is putting on a show of protecting the state’s interests while colluding with 99% of the terror and other enemy movements. Not because it tries to kill a few members of the enemy for show.

    • Tommy Maq

“I can almost Guarantee That this article was paid for by the “administration” she is speaking against.”

      Based on what, exactly?

  • Leon H

Gee, she doesn’t like how our government works, so she must hate America? I don’t care who she sleeps with be it rebel or saint. While the peace and love sure sounds radical or even silly I submit that endlessly being in a state of war and killing 1.6 million (including 50,000 kids) is nothing to be proud of. Nor is the corporatist politicians we have now who are powered by greed and money as free speech.
As for Larry and his corrections , what a wonderful job of correcting, now if only you had spent as much time being honest about your government, maybe I’d be impressed.

What a joke. This dump is so totally propagandized that I can hardly read it without thinking about white supremacist lurkers fomenting in their own juices. OK, but don’t expect people to stand in line to ask for your analysis.

      • Mlucid

Root sources of my problems? Which problems would those be? My problems with this blog? My problems with right-wing conservatives being seen as centrist? Or my problems with white supremacists?

Your ability to think calmly and rationally.

          • Mlucid

Oh, don’t be so tacky. Going with your “root sources” theme, it’s my experience that people like to criticize folks whose exhibit similar aspects to those of themselves that they don’t like. Just an observation.

Look at your first comment. Then tell me what results you expected.

I expected the supporters of the article to rail at me and folks like you to agree with me. Obviously what we expect is not always what we get.

          • objectivefactsmatter

I did agree with you, partly.

And you might have to read more of the articles here to understand where they are coming from. This one is not really that serious.

          • Mlucid

I browsed around. Looks pretty much like the same right wing propaganda rag to me. Maybe point me to a particular article.

          • objectivefactsmatter

I think you’d need to read some of the archived Horowitz articles first and then maybe ask a few questions about anything that remains unclear. That’s the most efficient crash course guidelines I can offer.

I just be patient about forming opinions and ask questions before forming rigid ones.

This section is called “the point” for a reason. I consider it a double entendre.

          • Mlucid

I think you imagine me to be some kind of standard left leaning media-addled automaton. They’re out there, but that ain’t me. There’s not a nickel’s difference between the two parties and Obama’s actions in DC are virtually indistinguishable from Bush’s. I get it.

That said? This whole planet still needs to go left, not right. Period. Left, meaning, towards dramatically reducing the drain on the planet’s resources and natural systems, towards dramatically reducing consumption and waste, towards wider inclusion of the lower classes, towards sharing the wealth with those that actually add the value to the products and perform essential services, towards limiting the power (economic or otherwise) that any individual can accumulate. And, reading all the Horowitz in the world won’t go very far towards meeting those ends.

          • objectivefactsmatter

The left is all about top down solutions. The right is about empowering individuals with equal opportunity.

The class warfare of the left leaves many individuals feeling hopeless without the top down solutions. At the very least, the left needs a new approach if they want to help anything at all.

          • Mlucid

You see it that way because you are a right wing ideologue. You define the “left” as if it were the Democrats and the right from the idealized viewpoint. If you were more objective, like your name implies, you might fairly state both sides from the idealized viewpoint.

A left winged zealot might say the right is all about trickle down solutions and the left is about empowering individuals with equal opportunity. But, being objective I would see both statements as biased and, in fact indicative of the main problem: ideology before objective facts.

          • objectivefactsmatter

“If you were more objective, like your name implies, you might fairly state both sides from the idealized viewpoint.”

I did. I asserted that the stated objectives of the left are good but the approach is almost always bad. That’s the objective view post-analysis. Objectivity doesn’t mean pretending that the middle ground is always the place to be – even after running the analysis.

          • Mlucid

“Make your case if you think the left is about empowering people with equal opportunity as a strategy, not a stated objective.”

I didn’t say it was. I said that’s what a lefty ideologue would say. A lefty would respond to your challenge above that the right is killing equal opportunity to education with privatization and granting super high interest rates to banksters on student loans and draconian bankruptcy rules on the students (passed during the Bush admin). They would say that the rich should be heavily taxed with a weighted income tax, financial transaction fees and high estate taxes with the proceeds going to make education and health care human rights.

Indeed there is no valid criticism of the left from the right, because there is no legitimate left leaning political entitiy in power. Both Dem and Rep are right-biased authoritarians in support of the corporate elite. Which, incidentally is why the neocon ideologues can have you saying that the left is authoritarian in that the Dems are as authoritarian as the Reps in that they do the same thing in office: big bail outs, never ending war, low taxes for the rich, deregulation on industry and Wall Street, etc etc.

Indeed there is no legitimate right either. It has been wiped out by neocon ideologues and media misinformation. It’s all oligarchic rule by economic right. One dollar one vote.

          • objectivefactsmatter

“Indeed there is no valid criticism of the left from the right, because there is no legitimate left leaning political entitiy in power.”

Maybe that’s because it’s hard to be completely against “the elite” while becoming “the elite?”

“Both Dem and Rep are right-biased authoritarians in support of the corporate elite.”

But they are managed differently. It’s easier (for constituents) to manage conservative elites when they’re in power than it is leftists.

“Indeed there is no legitimate right either. It has been wiped out by neocon ideologues and media misinformation. It’s all oligarchic rule by economic right. One dollar one vote.”

Are you oppressed? Are you helpless? Can you vote if you’re poor?

          • Mlucid

“Are you oppressed? Are you helpless? Can you vote if you’re poor?”

No for all three. Like I said. It’s one dollar one vote. The actual voter polling is meaningless when both candidates will do the same thing in office. It’s corporate money that puts the candidates in place, not primaries, not caucuses, and certainly not voters. Money.

          • objectivefactsmatter

“No for all three. Like I said. It’s one dollar one vote. The actual voter polling is meaningless when both candidates will do the same thing in office.”

You’re disenfranchised because they don’t fulfill your vision and you can’t tell the difference.

“It’s corporate money that puts the candidates in place, not primaries, not caucuses, and certainly not voters. Money.”

Money has a life of its own. Amazing stuff.

“They would say that the rich should be heavily taxed with a weighted income tax, financial transaction fees and high estate taxes with the proceeds going to make education and health care human rights.”

Basically we want to tax industry to pay for stuff. But we don’t want to poison industry, do we? So does competency matter? Or just ideas? Industry is the engine of wealth. Does it matter if we know WTF we’re talking about when we demand stuff?

          • Mlucid

Industry? What industry? They shipped it all overseas except for weapons systems –our #1 export by a mile. (And what do you mean “we”, Paleface?)

          • objectivefactsmatter

            “We” the People tax industry.

          • Mlucid

You moron. We the people don’t tax squat or there would be taxes on the super rich and more of the countries vast wealth would be shared with the people who actually add the value and do the work.

Google is hardly industry and HP and Intel oth have sites in China. You’re a sucker for the money. You think you’re one of them. They’re laughing themselves sick at sheeple like yourself waving the flag while they dilute your bank account right out from under you. Later sucker.

“We the people don’t tax squat or there would be taxes on the super rich and more of the countries vast wealth would be shared with the people who actually add the value and do the work.”

Of course the oppressed people have no say. That’s why you’re not allowed to vote.

“Google is hardly industry and HP and Intel oth have sites in China. You’re a sucker for the money. You think you’re one of them. They’re laughing themselves silly at sheeple like yourself waving the flag while they dilute your bank account right out from under you. Later sucker.”

So you’re an oppressed racist nationalist that wants everything optimized for America where we decide which jobs go where throughout the globe? You actually don’t understand why “corporations” elect to move their operations.

Of course some of them move. And some foreign companies open operations here. The reason the trend is tilted against creating jobs at production sites in America (and everywhere that delusional socialism is rampant) is that our laws are too much tilted towards delusional socialist ideals.

Don’t you care about how other people live? I thought you were a nice guy…oh yes. Your theory is that “the rich” take all of the wealth and bathe in it. Or something like that. It’s just bad. And we know it’s true because…the world isn’t the way you want it to be and bankers and corporations and stuff.

          • objectivefactsmatter

“… more of the countries vast wealth would be shared with the people who actually add the value and do the work.”

We’re talking about America now? Show me specific examples of anyone that is not getting “fair” wages according to the value added directly by their work.

“Indeed there is no valid criticism of the left from the right, because there is no legitimate left leaning political entitiy in power. Both Dem and Rep are right-biased authoritarians in support of the corporate elite. Which, incidentally is why the neocon ideologues can have you saying that the left is authoritarian in that the Dems are as authoritarian as the Reps in that they do the same thing in office: big bail outs, never ending war, low taxes for the rich, deregulation on industry and Wall Street, etc etc.”

The status quo is not good because we have a lot of ignorant voters. Now what? What’s next without drawing false inferences? Paranoid rants might be interesting to motivate people but before we actually fix something we must learn enough about what is true and what is important.

Not an easy task when there is no free press. Good luck to you.

          • objectivefactsmatter

There is a free press but most people elected to sell out, or to tolerate feeding at the trough of sellouts.

            Whose fault is that?

          • objectivefactsmatter

“A left winged zealot might say the right is all about trickle down solutions and the left is about empowering individuals with equal opportunity.”

I don’t think you’re a zealot. I simply think that you don’t understand the valid criticism of the left, and you accept the left’s criticism of the right on an intuitive level. Which is not unusual at all.

Make your case if you think the left is about empowering people with equal opportunity as a strategy, not a stated objective. Show me how they do that.

This has been one of the dumbest articles I have recently read.
Congratulations frontpagemag.com for achieving the “Internet Idiocy Award”
Your article paints a clear picture you are just as ignorantly blind to one side of the case as you try to make her out to be.
I am so tired of reading articles from halfway educated nitwits

    • Daniel Greenfield

The chemtrails are coming for you. Beware.

    • Mlucid

Dig that, WC. The cognitive dissonance of these right wing fringer types is really pounding their ability to communicate. I mean, when the policies and practices they’ve shilled for 3 decades leave them ever diminishing options and incomes, their whole gig is reduced the the purely cultural flag-waving and fag-bashing propaganda angle they were suckered into as by product of eating trickle down thinking it was free market for last 20 years. I’d almost feel sorry for them if thy weren’t so fundamentally (no pun intended) despicable.

      • objectivefactsmatter

        Dig it. Genius analysis.

  • Real American

I’m starting to suspect Front Page is a dummy, astroturfed site sponsored by Soros and intended to get people on the right to support statist policies. Or at least Greenfield is.

Anarcho-capitalism of the sort that Kokesh and Wedler believe in is the exact opposite of Obaman Progressivism. While a bit too extreme to ever be workable it is an admirable political philosophy. I would not consider it to be “left”

    • objectivefactsmatter

If there is a circle of levels of delusion and conservatism is the stable anchor in the middle, it is possible to go so far away from progressives that you still end up on the left once you pass the bend of rational thinking.

The left right paradigm can’t be applied to everything. These individuals will never support conservatives or a conservative approach. They attack the left because of which particular brand of Utopia they are rooting for. But they’re all Utopian and hate the establishment. Conservatives are essentially pro-establishment (which is not to say always status quo – but it’s a different approach to “progress”).

      • Incoherent Illusion

Indeed… To Kokesh and Wedler, (and myself), so called conservatives in this country are no different than liberals.

  • Gustave Eugene

The author has to call her names to try to discredit her message. Pathetic. She is articulate and passionate about anti war. That is her position. She may not have a solution, but believes the government only makes it worse. Is Greenfield for war, or just anything Democrat party? He just throws labels around and expects to demonize her to convince his readers to ignore her. Forget about the agendas, listen to the messages and you will side with her, because he makes no case. Agree or disagree, she makes her point. He does not.

Just because Carey and Adam Kokesh aren’t neocons doesn’t mean they’re attacking “from the left”. Kokesh counter-protested Code Pink events and had a falling out with Iraq Veterans Against the War because of the leftists that took over the organization. Adam Kokesh is a LIBERTARIAN, as in an anti-communist, pro-market, freedom lover. The neocons are more “left” than he is, especially given the fact that the original neocons were all Trotsyites.

I have a feeling a delusional, typically pathological-lying, supremacist, racist, hypocritical Jewbag wrote this article. What a pile of fascist and communist crap. Again, typical of a Jewbag.

  • libertylover8

Daniel, you have no validity to your argument that Carey Wedler hates
America. She’s a passionate liberty advocate speaking out against a tyrannical
American government and in no way do I interpret in any of her videos
that she hates America, quite frankly I interpret the contrary. Those hateful diatribes she spews must really offend your idea of benevolent government. Calling outspoken
liberty-loving patriots “Pro-Al Qaeda” must help you cope with your ignorance to the fact that our government is corrupt. Lots of people can’t grasp or
handle the idea that government colludes with terrorists of all
backgrounds to incite terror/false flags. Wake up! Money & motive trumps principle & justice, and its been going on for decades now. The reason Carey speaks out against our corrupt government is because she cares about her country, the people who live here, and the innocent foreign people of nations we oppress with our violence. She stands against terrorism of any kind, foreign or domestic, and points out people who instigate it. The Boston marathon bombing may have possibly been an inside
job, look at our governments track record. Just because she says that’s a likely possibility doesn’t mean she hates America. Goes to show how out of touch some people want to stay, comprehending reality can be painful when its a sad and sickening truth.

    • Daniel Greenfield

Passionate liberty advocates don’t support passionate advocates for medieval theocracies.

      • libertylover8

We don’t support medieval theocracies or religions that violate human rights. Bombing Muslims and instituting ‘democracy’ on middle eastern countries is not the way to solve this problem. I’d be dead if Shairia Law were legal in America, my father would be allowed to kill me if I dishonor him by showing my face. I hate the fact that women’s rights are violated by religious fanatics, but promoting war to solve their problems isn’t the way to help them. If someone wants to be Muslim, that’s fine, overall they are a culture of peace, but then you have what I believe have been foreign funded Al Qaeda operatives paid to incite terror. It’s the 21st century and no matter what religion you are or what you believe in, people are waking up and realizing they have a choice. For many they are still oppressed and afraid to come out in countries of Islam, and there should be outlets and sanctuaries they can escape to where people care about their rights. Just bc someone doesn’t support a war agenda doesn’t mean they support medieval theocracies, we support peaceful solutions and nonintervention. You sure like playing devils advocate Daniel, but your points fall short.

        • Daniel Greenfield

“overall they are a culture of peace”

No they’re not. Look at the history of Islam.

          • hiernonymous

In contrast to the history of Christianity?

          • Daniel Greenfield

Should I even ask how you ended up here?

          • hiernonymous

Only if it has something to do with the histories of Islam or Christianity.

          • Daniel Greenfield

            A. By accident

            B. By following me around

            Pick one

          • hiernonymous

Which one has something to do with the histories of Islam or Christianity?

Daniel, you’re offering public commentary on matters of public interest. Why in the world are you mewling about getting public responses to those public comments?

          • Daniel Greenfield

The jury will note that the witness failed to answer.

This is a comments section on a post from last month. Either you somehow stumbled across it or you’re stalking my Disqus feed.

I find the latter a little pathetic and amusing.

          • hiernonymous

The jury will note that the witness failed to answer.

That has been obvious for five posts now. The witness was asked “in contrast to the history of Christianity?”, and has studiously avoided the topic since.

I find the latter a little pathetic and amusing.

As you like. Very well, you are seething with amusement. Now that you’ve aired your emotional response, this might be an opportune time to leave the topic of your insecurities behind us and return to the substantive topic.

          • Daniel Greenfield

Speaking of insecurities, you seem a little insecure.

Stalking someone when he doesn’t answer you… seems a little insecure to me.

          • hiernonymous

            “Speaking of insecurities…”

Actually, I was speaking of your vague comment on the history of Islam vs that of Christianity. How quickly we forget.

          • Daniel Greenfield

            “How quickly we forget.”

Not as quickly as you would like.

          • hiernonymous

There’s no telling what you think you’re talking about, but it’s a pretty fair bet that it’s not the comparative histories of Islam and Christianity.

If you simply have no intent to return to the topic, and plan to offer evasive or portentous banalities ad nauseum, do us both a favor and just say so. If, on the other hand, you do plan to return to the topic, why don’t we just stipulate that one of your sallies will find its mark, that I will have been suitably wounded, and that, spleen vented and honor satisfied, we can move back to the substantive topic?

          • Terry

A book with a title “A Dark History: The Popes (Vice, Murder, and Corruption in the Vatican)” looks like it would e very damning. If you look at the Albigensian crusade against the Cathars or the witchcraft trials, it looks bad. However, from the start the Pope did not want a crusade. It did not help that one of the Pope’s envoys was murdered. The Pope was for other options.
Accusations of witch craft were an easy way of getting rid of economic competitors and thus their popularity were not fueled solely or mainly by religion. I read where the town fathers in one large French town simply put an end to the trials. Who were these town fathers? Right, they were Christians.
I’d much rather take my chances in a medieval Christian country than a Muslim one.

          • libertylover8

The Middle East is trying its best to combat terrorism and spread the message about tolerance to change the way Islam is taught in elementary schools. By no means should Sharia Law be allowed anywhere bc it violates human rights. Muslim extremist came in to play in modern history (18th and 19th centuries), many Islamic regions fell under the influence of European Great powers. Overall people of Islam are nonviolent, I think you want to believe they are bad terrorists out to get us. The US provoked/incited violence in the Middle East and used their now “terrorist religion” as a catalyst for war. Most Muslim people want peace. A small number of them are part of a religous cult with psychologically ill people who act against the word of their god. You’re misguided.

          • Daniel Greenfield

Most Middle Eastern countries support terrorism and many host and sponsor terrorist groups.

Countries like Saudi Arabia export textbooks and clergy that promote terrorism among Muslims in Western countries.

Muslim violence against non-Muslim goes back over a thousand years. Islam has never been non-violent.

            It still isn’t.

Jihad is a fundamental doctrine of Islam going back to Mohammed.

  • Dondh

I loved your video of burning of Barak Ovomit’s t-shirt, but was not happy about what you said about George Bush. If it weren’t for him, the Iraqi people would still be under that tyrant and killer of his own people and many Kuwaitis, Saddam Hussein. I understand that far too many of our soldiers were killed, but that happens in war! How many people were killed at Pearl Harbor by the Japan military attacks and how many in World War 1 and 2. The war in Iraq was about to spread into other countries and if it weren’t for the US, several other countries might be under Hussein’s control. It seems like other neighboring countries aren’t all that interesting in helping out against wars waged by their neighbors along with other European and Asian nations. Nobody wants war, but you must understand and believe what the Bible says that there will always be wars and rumors of wars. They are always going to be around as long as there are humans on this planet. There are too many tyrants who want to have control of everybody. Now, the tyrants are the radical terrorist muslims who want to establish a Caliphate in every country on the fact of this planet! So are we to set idly by and let them do their thing? That’s not for me! Now this president is doing nothing about it and beause of that, these tyrant barbarians are have a start toward accomplishing their objective. We need more people like G W Bush, Ronald Reagan, Dwight David Eisnhower, Abraham Lincoln and several other men/women who are willing to stand up for our country!

Of course you do know that the LaRouche’s were extremist of the Right-wing variety. Which means they were more likely Nazis or Neo-Cons. And that your vitriolic little tirade is not journalism unless you consider propaganda journalism. She is an airhead and contrary to what you say here, Kokesh is considered Republican by everyone else but you.

Thanks for wasting 4 minutes I’ll never get back.

The USA demonstrates its commitment to freedom, democracy, woman’s rights, Israel and all that good stuff by spending the last 70 years shipping trillions of dollars worth of of weapons and military training to the hardline Islamic dictatorships of the Middle East.
