Al Jazeera Praises Synagogue Massacre of Rabbis

muslims jerusalem attack

Al Jazeera is run by Qatar which sponsors such moderate peaceful organizations as Hamas and ISIS. So this op-ed is no surprise. What is surprising is the willingness of the media to pretend that Osama bin Laden’s favorite media outlet is a legitimate news organization.

Referring to the attack by two Muslim terrorists armed with guns and axes who attacked, among other people, a 59-year-old Rabbi at prayer from behind, the op-ed calls it a “daring operation carried out by two Palestinians in a Jewish synagogue in Jerusalem”, and threatens that “The operation carried symbolic importance in targeting the synagogue, in a clear message to the settlers and extremists of all varieties and types that the attack on the Arab holy sites would lead to attacks on synagogues and their holy places.”

“The operation also was clear in terms of courage and bravery,” the Al Jazeera op-ed by Professor Abdel Sattar Qassem states. “this operation was the most daring because it was done with primitive weapons. The media picked up that the Palestinians used the gun, but the most important weapons were knives and hatchets.”

Normal non-Muslims don’t consider axing a Rabbi from behind to be courageous and brave, but that’s the difference between the human worldview and the one represented by Al Jazeera and its state sponsor of terror.

Al Jazeera is only running this murderous racist screed in Arabic for obvious reasons, but it needs to be spread around because this is what Al Jazeera really is. It’s not a media organization. It’s the press bureau for terrorists operated by Qatar, a state sponsor of terrorism.

“The operation also was clear in terms of courage and bravery,” Courage & Bravery? You have got to be shi*#ing me, sports fans…Muslims are nothing but cowards, plain & simple. Attacking innocent civilians, attacking a Rabbi from behind in this case? Yea, I do not agree with indiscriminate bombing by our messed up regime either, so save your fire & brimstone about that. The targeting of ANY innocent civilian, & they had better be innocent or they are fair game, is nothing but the cowards way…too afraid to meet his enemy on the battlefield, too afraid to be a man, too afraid to die like a man if it comes to that & No, suicide bombing is just another Muslim Cowards way out…

  • Texas Patriot

Israel should retake the Temple Mount and be done with it. Then we will see if Muslims really want to fight.

    • Gee

The Dome of the Rock was originally built for Jews to pray at their most holy site. It’s ugly, but it is ours

      • Thomas J. Hennigan

I understand that it was built by the Caliph of the time Abdu Maiikl, probably before there was such a thing as Islam. He seems to have been one of those who had a lot to do with the cooking up of Islam as a pesuedo-religion or rather a totalitarian cult to give a religious basis tothe already sprawling Arab empire. Besides, it is copied from Byzantine architecture.

      • Texas Patriot

I think you should demolish it and rebuild the Temple of David and Solomon as it was originally intended. It would be as good a place as any to start rolling back the Muslim conquests of Judaism and Christianity.

    • muchiboy

“…Muslims realize there is zero-tolerance for the violence of Islamic Jihad.”

And Jews realize there is zero-tolerance for the violence of Zionist Occupation,Displacement and Ethnic Cleansing. For a just and lasting Peace in the region, both conditions must be acknowledged by the other and mutually acted on.Jewish and Arab children deserve nothing less. They are cousins that need to become brothers and sisters.

      • Texas Patriot

Impossible, muchiboy. I know you want to see peace, and who doesn’t, but it’s not going to happen as long as committed Jihadists are operating in the region and around the world. The truth of the matter is that invading Muslim Armies stole the land from the Jews many centuries ago, and not only the land of Israel, but the Jewish and Christian lands of Israel, Egypt, North Africa, Spain, and Asia Minor. Muslims didn’t come peacefully, they came in force and in most cases offered no quarter except convert to Islam or die. Christians and Jews could accept a third class citizenship and pay a tax as non-Muslims, but that was the only alternative to conversion or death.

What we have seen in the last 66 years is the reawakening of the sleeping giant of Islamic Jihad, and there is no putting that genie back in the bottle. Hamas doesn’t want peace with Israel; it wants to destroy Israel completely. Under these circumstances, compromise brings only more violence and a demand for more compromise. As I stated above, the only solution to the conflict is for Israel to make it absolutely clear to all of her neighbors that there will be zero-tolerance for the violence of Islamic Jihad.

Like it or not, muchiboy, this is a battle to the death, and if Israel loses, we have seen by the example of ISIS in Mosul what the Israelis can expect at the hands of the victors.

“Just wars” are few and far between,Texas Patriot. So too,it seems,is the “just Peace”.For me,the Jews have to acknowledge the crime, the Arabs the reality. In doing so,they embrace Peace, together, not apart.

          • Texas Patriot

What about the crime of the Muslim Armies who stole the land from the ancient Jews in the first place? What is the crime of taking something back from a thief who has stolen it from you?

Besides, Israel was created under the auspices of a U.N mandate. Until it was attacked by its neighbors in 1967, it was holding lands given to it under successive legal rulings, and the lands taken in the context of the 1967 were lost to the aggressors under the doctrine of forfeiture. If you don’t want to lose your own property, don’t attack your neighbor.

Basically, muchiboy, if you look at the issues in a broad enough historical context and in the light of well-understood ideas of the laws of war and forfeiture, I think you will actually have a very hard time concluding that Israel has committed any crime at all.

          • muchiboy

Given that Muslim Armies stole the land from the ancient Jews some thousands of years ago,and the Zionist Armies “stole” the land from the Palestinian Arabs within living memory and history,we might almost be comparing “apples and oranges,”Texas Patriot”. Is there a “Statute of Limitations” on occupation and ethnic cleansing? If so,I think the former would qualify. But maybe not,eh?
Like it or lump it,the UN sanctioned the Partition of Palestine, the infamous Resolution 181.Of course there is a history, going back to ancient Israel and the various ethnic cleansing(s),including that of the Romans, of the Jews from their Homeland, and including the many crimes of humanity and persecutions of the Diaspora, over time and place,up to/including the the horrific genocidal Holocaust.Zionism, the Balfour Declaration, the Fall of the Ottoman Empire,British and French Colonialism, the Palestine Mandate, the Decline of Colonialism, the Holocaust, etc.all played their part here.
We can,and should, argue the ethics of any of these factors, including the politics of the time, dirty or not. There is no a priori reason not to revisit Resolution 181,though I am unsure if there is a legal redress under the founding/current rules of the UN.Certainly, there are causes for moral redress, here. We have seen many boundary changes in Nations since their Independence’s and recognition by the UN/communities of Nations.
            (Continued)

          • Texas Patriot

You’re making progress, muchiboy. I think all of the things you mentioned are relevant to consider, and I look forward to your continued response. One thing I would add to your ruminations is the monumental and often overlooked fact that the Muslim Conquest of the Middle East, Asia Minor, North Africa, and Spain was one of the most, if not absolutely the most, brutal and ruthless blitzkriegs in all of history, in which millions upon millions of Jews, Christians, Zoroastrians, Yazidis, and other non-Muslim sects and the civilizations they had built up were absolutely eradicated by invading Muslim Armies in much the same way as ISIS and the Islamic State are doing today. Is there a statute of limitations on crimes against humanity of such magnitude? There is no statute of limitations on murder. How about the invasion and absolute destruction of entire civilizations?

          • muchiboy

Again, another 5 minute old re-post that has some relevance here.I will later continue my reply to your post.

“The conversation here is about the “occupation”,(migration/settlement,if
you like),of the Palestinian Homeland. The re-creation of Zionist Israel
is within some of our lifetimes,i.e.,1948.The “migration” of Europeans
to America occurred hundreds of years ago.Since then,we have progressed
on many levels, societal, morally, etc.I would like to think we know better
today.Speaking of America, our treatment of the First Nations was
shameful, but perhaps within the acceptable moral behavior and mores of
the time.We recognize that today, and even go out of our way to redress
that conduct. We even do so for the ex-slaves we imported from
Africa.Israelis cannot say that about their Palestinian victims, many or
most having been ethnically cleansed from their Homeland.Their
descendents likewise are denied their Homeland and Birth Right, while any
Jew,anywhere, anytime, anyhow is eligible for Israeli citizenship,in what
was the Palestinian Homeland some 65 years ago.I happen to find that
            morally,disgusting.That shameful condition exists today,when we,and
            Jews,ought to know better.”

          • muchiboy

This is a minutes old re-post on another topic,Texas Patriot, and is an aside really, but goes to my point that I have little argument with Jews, even the Diaspora, living in their ancient homeland, given how we Christians have not generally, and more so latterly,e.g.,the Holocaust, had their best interests at heart.

“Migrations are part and parcel of the human condition,I_Am_Me,have been
since early mankind, beginning with the migrations out of our
Homeland,Africa. They are seldom peaceful when they involve occupied
places, though often mutually beneficial,to one another and Mankind as a
whole.I don’t have a big problem with such migrations so much as I have
with the displacement and de facto ethnic cleansing of the occupied
            People,e.g.,the Palestinians,from their Homeland,by the Diaspora,in
            modern times,when occupation,and Colonialism,was on its last legs,and on
the heels of what is arguably the most horrific violation of Human
Rights ever, the Holocaust, and this by the very victims of this moral
outrage.Jews should have known better then, and now.”

Al Jazeera America is also doing their best to drive to drive a wedge between Israel and its major ally. Yesterday they were promoting an “expose” they titled “The Day Israel Attacked America”. Fortunately, few Americans waste their time with AJ’s propaganda.

“Celebrating terror while under occupation, displacement and ethnic cleansing.”

Perhaps an explanation ,as uncomfortable and unsatisfactory as it may be,can be found in the few,if any, victories the Palestinian People have had in their decades old resistance to Zionist occupation, displacement and ethnic cleansing. We could just as readily ask how a People,i.e.the Jews, could walk out of the Death Camps amidst the greater horror of the genocidal Holocaust, only to occupy,in turn, another innocent and vulnerable People’s Homeland,i.e.the Palestinian Christian and Muslim Arab. And,yes,it is uncomfortable, and it is unsatisfactory.Maybe that comes with the human condition, and not so much with the Arab condition. As previously commented on,violence and religion is usually,or more often than not, accompanied by poverty, repression, etc.as co-factors,rather than dogma and belief alone.

Still, tragic yet ironic that the Diaspora had such devastating consequences,i.e.the Palestinian Nakba, for another equally innocent and vulnerable People. The tragedy,of course,is obvious, the irony being survivors of the Holocaust and Death Camps went on,in turn, to victimize the Palestinian People. And both are such fine Peoples.

Al Jazeera,is many things to different people, not unlike other things. It is a mix of the problematic and progress in the Arab and Muslim world. While mostly contentious in the eyes of the Western and Jewish World/beholder,especially that concerning the Arab World and the Islamic World,it is at least a crack that lets the light in.I will quote a favorite Canadian performer of my wife and I,Leonard Cohen. If ever you get a chance to see him, even in Israel, and I will hold no grudge for you,see him, while you can.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ma5tF6TJpA

“The original Al Jazeera channel’s willingness to broadcast dissenting views, for example on call-in shows, created controversies in the Arab States of the Persian Gulf. The station gained worldwide attention following the outbreak of war in Afghanistan, when it was the only channel to cover the war live, from its office there.[10]

In the 2000s, the network was praised by the Index on Censorship for circumventing censorship and contributing to the free exchange of information in the Arab world, and by the Webby Awards, who nominated it as one of the five best news web sites, along with BBC News, National Geographic and The Smoking Gun. It was also voted by Brandchannel readers as the fifth most influential global brand behind Apple, Google, Ikea and Starbucks. In 2011, Salon.com said Al Jazeera’s coverage of the 2011 Egyptian protests
was superior to that of the American news media. Hillary Clinton stated
that the US was losing the information war as “Al Jazeera has been the
leader in that [they] are literally changing people’s minds and
attitudes. And like it or hate it, it is really effective,” she said.[11] The channel aims “emphasizing news from the developing world, without an Anglo-American world-view”.[12]

The network is sometimes perceived to have mainly liberal Arab
nationalist and moderate Islamist perspectives and having a pro-Sunni
and an anti-Shia bias in its reporting of regional issues. However,
Aljazeera insists it covers all sides of a debate; presenting Israeli
opinion, Iran’s view and even aired videos released by Osama Bin-Laden.[13] The network has also been accused of being pro-American.[citation needed]“
