“Allah Akbar” Interrupts Pope’s Mass in Bethlehem

Christians used to be a majority in Bethlehem. The peace process and its PLO power drove out the Christian population, as Islamic supremacism has across the Middle East.

From 90 percent Christian in the early 1900s, Bethlehem, a city of 22,000, today is more than two-thirds Muslim.

Bethlehem was 60 percent Christian in 1990, but Christians lost their majority in the 90s. By 2000, Christians accounted for only 40 percent of Bethlehem’s population. By recent counts, Bethlehem today is only 15 percent Christian and 1,000 Christians leave every year.

Bethlehem Christians became persecution targets for Muslims once the Palestinian Authority under Yasser Arafat assumed power in the city. Since then, Christians have been exposed to intimidation, beatings, land theft, firebombing of churches, denial of employment, torture, kidnappings, forced marriages, and extortions.

Some of the harassment is petty. Some isn’t.

George Rabie, a 22-year-old taxi driver from the Bethlehem suburb of Beit Jala, is proud of his Christianity, even though it puts him in daily danger.

Two months ago, he was beaten up by a gang of Muslims who were visiting Bethlehem from nearby Hebron and who had spotted the crucifix hanging on his windscreen.

“In the birthplace of Christianity, we have seen over the years that the Christmas holiday has been reduced to snowmen and bells,” said Pastor Steven Khoury of Holy Land Missions.

The billboard sign is located at Manger Square with the slogan “Jesus born to die and rose again. Invite him into your heart so you might live – Merry Christmas” has caused some people to come out of their cars and take pictures.

Vandals had cut the electric cable surrounding the sign to ensure that it would not be lit up during the night.

So what happened during the Pope’s visit should surprise no one. This is just like for Christians in Bethlehem.

The Muslim call to prayer from the Mosque of Omar on Manger Square in Bethlehem interrupted Pope Francis’ mass outside the Church of the Nativity.

According to Israel Radio reporter Gal Berger, the Christian crowd responded to the muezzin’s call with whistles and shouts, and the choral music was turned up in order to drown it out. Army Radio reports the calls of “Allah is Great” in Arabic were met with cheers of “Viva Il Papa” by the Christians.

That irritating Satanic chant ‘Allahu Ackbar’ is the zombie chant that needs to be eradicated for the common good. It is one of the most annoying sounds to a sane human being.

    • Michael Ward

Yet the Pope sticks up for the Muslims…..makes no sense whatsoever

      • Gee

Both have the same goal steal as much as they can from Jews and see the rest dead

        • Drakken

Oh come on now Gee, as a Catholic myself, me and mine don’t want to steal or harm the Jews, not see Israel fall to a sea of islam. This pope thinks that he can reason with islam, he is about to learn the hard way, that you cannot.

          • ZeroSum1

never ending war savage against savage, i see your Jihad and raise you one Crusade.

          • shmo123

The Crusades were in response to Muslim aggression against traditional Christian lands in the middle east. The perfidy of Islam is never ending.

          • Softly Bob

That’s true, Muslims had conquered and pillaged two-thirds of the Christian World before the first crusade was launched.

          • Drakken

I’ll take my western Crusade over the muslims jihad in order for my civilization to survive, and I’ll sleep very well over it.

      • mollysdad

The Pope has been very clever. The first thing he did was to stake out a claim for religious liberty as the basis for coexistence among the three religions of the Middle East.

Islam would cease to be Islam if it conceded, just as socialism would cease to be socialism if it conceded the right to private property.

      • delta4ce7

You don’t get it I see. The Pope is an Illuminati member in full support of socialist one world totalitarian government. You need to see some G. Edward Griffin’s 1960′s videos on Youtube so you see that he had researched it very well and everything he said then is now true. See his video on the Collectivist Conspiracy. He’s got it nailed. You should also see the video named Dark Secrets of the New World Order. Very informative and obviously accurate.

        • Jakareh

          Illuminati! LOL

It makes all the sense in the world if you truly believe Christ’s teachings.

        • objectivefactsmatter

“It makes all the sense in the world if you truly believe Christ’s teachings.”

Stick up by calling them to the Gospel? Sure. Defend Islamic lies? Um, no.

        • liz

You mean like “turn the other cheek”?
That self-defeatist teaching never did anyone any good, and it certainly isn’t going to work with Islam.

        • Josh Shinigami

But a shepherd is willing to kill the wolves to protect the lambs he is protecting.

And that’s what you should do to terrorists.

    • Erik Kenney

YES SIR!!! It’s right up there with Obama’s voice, and the Clinton’s voices!!

    • Anukem Jihadi

This Pope is too dim to listen to the message they’re sending him. Their “God is greater”. He should be forced to listen to it everyday before breakfast.
Maybe he’d learn what his silence is buying persecuted Christians in the Middle East.
He stands in front of Abbas’s mural of Jesus wearing a Palestinian keffiyeh and then looks surprised.

So, I started the process online. Later, I’ll send the 777-gr round, down the line.

        • Wolfthatknowsall

That, they are. We have two more chances … this year, and 2016. Even then, I am convinced that the only thing to be accomplished by victory is the postponement of the inevitable.

  • L.S.

While staying in Bethlehem it is impossible to ignore all the calls to prayer from one of the local mosques. My first time there it woke me up at 5:00 AM. There was a lot of simmering hatred from the local Arabs (I refuse to call them “Palestinians”.)
UNRWA is all over in the West Bank (including Bethlehem). They are given billions of $$ (from the U.S., etc.) but much is wasted. It is supposed to go to the “refugees” there. IF the money was actually used for the “refugees” each person should be a millionaire by now. Instead, there are a lot of unkempt camps all over.

    • ZeroSum1

whats funny while stationed overseas’ we where threatened with carriere damaging articles by our own leadership if we didn’t head to the times of prayer, that half the muslims that we worked with didn’t even do, also if we did not stand at attention for the afghan national anthem. in repsonse to this unlawful order, most of us simply replied with, hey i got plenty of ink where do you want us to sign.

    • DVult

Were you on a short visit or an extended stay? It would be interesting to hear more about your experience. Concerning the simmering hatred from the local arabs, are you referring to muslims or Christians also?

      • L.S.

Not from Christians (who now comprise 10-15% of the population).
        20 day visit,

The prospective meeting with the Pope presents Israel with the opportunity to perform a great service, not only for itself, but for the entire world. Israel should introduce the subject of the Islamic doctrine of “death to infidels”. No Western leaders have had the courage to even mention the doctrine. “Political
correctness” has made it a prohibited subject. It has never been an item on the agenda of any so-called “peace talks”, notwithstanding that it is the greatest obstacle to peace. The doctrine is the root cause of the Islamic terrorism that plagues the world today. It has been the basis for untold killings of Muslims and non-Muslims by Muslims.
And so, Israel should raise the subject of the doctrine of “death to infidels” at the forthcoming meeting. Perhaps, if it is brought to
the attention of the Pope, his concern for the safety of Catholics, who are
“infidels”, pursuant to the Islamic doctrine, will move him to address the
    doctrine.
The Muslim World takes the doctrine very seriously. The two major branches of Islam, the Sunnis and the Shia, each consider the other to be infidels, and they have been killing each other for centuries, for that reason. The killing of Muslims by Muslims, pursuant to the doctrine, continues to this day, in Pakistan, Yemen, Iraq, Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, Mali, Sudan, Nigeria, Lebanon and Syria. The killing of non-Muslims by Muslims, pursuant to the doctrine, has occurred in Egypt, Libya, Lebanon, Syria, Nigeria, Indonesia, Thailand, China, India, Russia, Europe, Israel, and the USA.
The response of the Western World to the doctrine is best illustrated by Barack Obama, President of the USA, a nation of “infidels”, in the eyes of Islam. Rather than address the religious death sentence of the people that he represents, Obama fantasizes that “Islam is the religion of love”, and, “Islamic terrorism is the work of a tiny minority”. But, the Sunnis and the Shia are hardly a “tiny minority”, and, “death to infidels” is hardly a message of love.
No peace agreement between a Muslim and a non-Muslim entity can have any real substance or significance, so long as the religion of the Muslim entity calls upon its people to kill the non-Muslim “infidels”. There are some academics and theologians who contend that the doctrine exempts “People of the Book”, i.e. Christians and Jews, from the death sentence, but, the recent Fatwas of leading Muslim clerics make it very clear that “infidels” means “non-believers in Islam”.
And so, the doctrine should be brought to the attention of the Pope by Israel, with the statement that renunciation of the doctrine, or, at a minimum, redefinition to eliminate the death sentence, is essential to any peace agreement, and indeed, to peace in the world.

Christians in muHamMad lands are hostage to the religion of piracy, extortion and slavery. Nice historic culture you have here:Hate to see anything – whuups! Golly, that was pretty fragile! I guess you let something happen that spontaneously riled up our mobs. Let’s work together to calm things down, m’K?
