It took a while, but the BDS movement is finally coming to terms with its own hypocrisy and urging everyone to boycott it. Well not quite, but it is doing the next best thing by urging a boycott of its own Nazi collaborating sugar daddy.

Yesterday the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement called for a boycott of billionaire investor and activist George Soros.

Soros is being boycotted because, putting profit over principle, he invested in Israeli companies. It’s hard to fund a war on Israel if you don’t have the money to fund it with. This sort of hypocrisy is routine for leftists, take Michael Moore’s Haliburton stock.

(Speaking of, Soros’s fifth largest holding is in Halburton)

Since Soros funds BDS, logically then the BDS movement has to boycott itself for taking dirty Israeli money from Soros.

The Palestinian BDS National Committee called for a boycott of the Soros Fund Management and the Open Society Foundations due to the recently announced investment by Soros in SodaStream stock and increased investment in Teva Pharmaceuticals, both Israeli companies.

This isn’t a call to boycott companies that Soros controls. What does boycotting his foundation even mean? Refusing to accept grants from it… that will be the day.

So this is a strange and meaningless statement that sounds like a shakedown effort.

The first category comprises large and extensive Open Society Foundation grants to Palestinian organizations such as Al-Haq, Al-Mezan, and Palestinian Center for Human Rights, as well as Israeli political NGOs, including Yesh Din, Breaking the Silence, and Adalah. These groups are active in promoting the Durban strategy by attempting to portray Israel as a “racist” and “apartheid state” that commits “war crimes.” A primary goal of such demonizing language is to isolate Israel internationally, leading to the implementation of sanctions…

We call on Mr. Soros to immediately divest his Fund Management from all companies that profit from Israel’s occupation and well-documented human rights violations

Nobody is going to boycott these groups and they’re not going to turn down Soros money. And Soros buys and sells lefty NGOs like anything else.

  • Gee

If the BDS movement can boycott themselves, we all should do the same

    Camouflage?

  • liz

What a bunch of pathetic, self-important, contemptible little dweebs.

  • Zero Marx

Mmmm….the auto-cannibalism of the left. We’ll sell them the mustard.

  • RSnyder

Yeah. Soros is going to ‘divest’ himself of profitable investments to appease useful fools and tools.

  • republicc

The author misses the point. This is about Soros taking control of these companies and then using it against Israel’s interests.
