Biracial School Superintendent Accused of Being “Equal Opportunity Discriminator”

Post-Racial America is a wonderfully confusing place and no one embodies that better than Ronald O. Ross, a biracial man who is bigoted toward absolutely everyone.

Isn’t this what a post-racial America is supposed to be like?

He is an equal opportunity discriminator and isn’t that the ideal now? In a more enlightened nation, we would embrace Ronald O. Ross as a visionary who can show us the way to a brighter future.

Either that or give him a sitcom on FOX.

Ronald O. Ross was brought into a racially troubled district to bring it some harmony and healing. And that he did.

When Ronald O. Ross became Mount Vernon’s Superintendent of Schools in September 1998, the city’s school board was bitterly divided along racial lines.

”I saw that as a microcosm of America,” Mr. Ross said. ”I grew up in the civil rights era, and I felt that if we could accomplish a change here in Mount Vernon that would be a model for the rest of the country.”

Mr. Ross, 55, a tall, lanky man who speaks in the cadences of a preacher, said he believes that public schools can be a crucible of racial harmony.

But he is also known for his outspoken approach. ”He will speak to issues most people dance around,” including race, Mr. Yonkers said.

Oh boy, did he ever.

If the claims in a federal lawsuit brought by a principal, four teachers and three other school employees are accurate, the superintendent of the Greenburgh Central School District in Westchester County repeatedly disparaged his staff with bigoted terms, whether they were black or white, Jewish or Muslim, male or female, gay or heterosexual.

Ronald O. Ross, the superintendent, is accused of calling staff members “Oreo,” “white devil” and “dyke,” among other slurs, sometimes to their faces.

When the high school principal suggested setting up a joint Thanksgiving cultural event with Solomon Schechter School, a Jewish day school nearby, Mr. Ross replied, according to the lawsuit, “I don’t want anything to do with the Jew school.”

And he is accused of telling a Muslim English teacher, “Your presence is a threat to the safety of our children because your husband or people could come in at any time and blow up this place.”

“He was an equal opportunity discriminator,” said Jonathan Lovett, the White Plains lawyer who filed the lawsuit last week on behalf of the eight school employees, four of whom are identified in the lawsuit as black and four of whom are white.

Mr. Ross, according to the lawsuit, is biracial, the son of an African-American woman and a white man whom he referred to in conversation as a “drunk Irishman.”

At least no one could complain about feeling left out. The only thing to determine is the racial balance of Mr. Ross’ slurs. Did he slur every race, religion and sexual orientation equally? Did he practice affirmative action slurring?

what a breath of fresh air………..

  • Von Stierlitz

    Diversity !

  • Habbgun

The part of Ronald O. Ross was played by Dave Chappelle. The Farakhan necktie is a nice touch.

  • DogmaelJones1

The mutations of “white/black/gay/Latino/transgender/mixed race/Left/Muslim/diversity/privilege/” just continue to produce some amazingly odd creatures, mostly psychopathological, and, as Daniel remarks above, deserving of their own sitcom on MSNBC, Al Jazeera, or CNN .

    • Daniel Greenfield

or all 3 at the same time

      • DogmaelJones1

That would work, in the name of sitcom diversity!

  • Judahlevi

He has to be a registered Democrat.

Only Democrats believe that everyone is defined by the group they can put them into. Collectivism is the motto for Democrats from the KKK until today.

Conservative believe that people are individuals and it is their minds/character that defines them, not their bodies.

  • De Doc

Or in the words of WC Fields, “I am free of all prejudices. I hate everyone equally.”

  • UCSPanther

Proof you can be diverse and a loudmouthed bigot ALL at the same time…

  • DB1954

This guy has Obama’s disease. He’s a racialist. Racialism is a form of racism, but it’s often worse because it involves race-baiting or the perpetuation of racial obsession.

  • X30X

THIS man shows that “What is good for The Goose, is good for The Gander.” and if you don’t like it, then remain within your own ” bitterly divided along racial lines.”, he leading by example; They just don’t “Get It”!

  • Hard Little Machine

In the spirit of Rialto school district demand they have an 8th grade project where students write essays asserting black slavery never happened.

  • cacslewisfan

LOL! They’ve got it all wrong. Ross is like Andy Kaufman. He united the entire school in one cause against racism. Absolutely brilliant. I bet he’s a secret agent from the United Nations. P.S. I’m being sarcastic.

    Ya gotta love this guy.
