Canadian Muslim Paper Celebrates Synagogue Massacre of Rabbis

And politicians will go on pretending that the next act of Muslim violence in Canada is a “lone wolf attacker” and isn’t part of anything larger.

TORONTO — A local Arab-language newspaper’s praising of the synagogue massacre in the Har Nof neighbourhood of Jerusalem, in which four rabbis and a police officer were murdered, is “disgusting, obscene, disgraceful [and] possibly criminal,” says the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs.

Writing in the Nov. 28 edition of Meshwar, a free newspaper circulated in southwest Ontario, editor Nazih Khatatba approved the Nov. 18 Har Nof massacre as a “courageous and qualitative” operation.

The attack “ushers a new phase which should properly be called the phase of the new Fedayeen, fighters who sacrifice their life in battle,” wrote Khatatba, who is also a board member of Palestine House in Mississauga.

Palestine House’s support for racist terrorism against Jews isn’t new, but this is taking place in a country where peaceful protesters against Islam have been arrested. Consider the case of Eric Brazau.

A man charged for handing out anti-Islam flyers in Toronto was sentenced Tuesday to nine months in jail for promoting hate, among other charges, but is still allowed to hand out his flyers.

Brazau handed out the flyer, which contained many offensive references to Islam and Muslims, in August and September 2012. While distributing it, Brazau sometimes yelled obscenities about Islam “in a tone of voice that suggested he was very angry and had little interest in debate,” Clements said.

Brazau had argued that he did not intend to promote hate speech; instead he wanted to stimulate debate about censorship, “blasphemy laws” and Sharia law, Clements said.

Meanwhile Muslims can praise and endorse the murder of Jews because banning that would no doubt be Islamophobic.

Thanks for the report from Canuckistan.
We should be grateful that the Religion of Piece is producing fine young moderates like this.

“Thanks for the report from Canuckistan.”

Canada can teach America,Zionist Israel and most of the Arab/Islamic world a lot about tolerance and multiculturalism.

      • Daniel

Canada tolerates you…..which is probably no small feat.
I hope we never have to tolerate you here in the US.

  • muchiboy

“Meanwhile Muslims can praise and endorse the murder of Jews because banning that would no doubt be Islamophobic.”

Such examples that you cite need to be reported to the local Police. There are several Jewish and Human Rights Organizations that should be vigilant here.I would prefer that the Arab/Muslim communty be self-policing in such matters.Really,Canadian Jewish/Muslim clerics should meet to discuss such matters.

That being said, the attack in Jerusalem must be considered in the context of the occupation of the Palestinian Homeland, and the displacement and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian People. In fact, some of the victims and casualties were American/Israeli,which opens the “Right of Return of Diaspora” vs denial of “Rght of Return of Palestinian War Refugees” debate.Zionists and the Diaspora have to take responsibility here, along with the terrorists. You know very well that “one man’s terrorist is anothers nationalist”.Jews need look no further then their ownZionist history of the Irgun and Stern Gang.Menachem Begin is shown with fellow members of the Irgun. For his role in the terrorist bombing of the King David Hotel,he should have been shot as the terrorist he was.It was telling that this Zionist terrorist should go on to be the Prime Ministaer of Zionist Israel.

You sound like you would be much happier living in the Islamic State of Iraq and Whatever. Why don’t you move there instead of bothering these nice people?

      • muchiboy

Nice people? Well, these nice people are perfectly capable of sticking up for themselves,gearbox123.I should know.
As to where I would be much happier, that is very much my business.I don’t tell you where to go,so don’t tell me.

    • לאה בן יעקב

Not-so-muchi, what are you insinuating, that the Jews deserved what they got? That the Jews are no different?

      • muchiboy

Maybe a little of both,לאה בן יעקב,but one need be very careful, given the horrific history of persecution of Jews over time and place. No different here.Even my charge of occupation and ethnic cleansing must be seen in the context of history, ancient, modern and recent,as well as international law, morality and ethics.
With regards to Jews being no different in their use of terrorism as a means to an end,it is clear they are little to no different to others. As to if “the Jews deserve what they got”,are you referencing the entire Jewish Nation or People “over time and place”,Israeli’s or the Rabbi’s murdered in the Jerusalem Synagogue?
My charge of shared responsibility was directed at “Zionists and the Diaspora”,(and given how complex this charge is,I have amended my original post to reflect this and try to clarify/qualify my use of “Diaspora” in the context of Zionist Israel). When you choose to live in and support such a country founded on occupation, displacement and ethnic cleansing, with ongoing denial of Human Rights,Crimes Against Humanity and the Palestinian People,War Crimes, etc.,you become part and parcel of the occupation and oppression. This in no way justifies terrorist attacks against innocent Israeli citizens by Palestinians.Again, two wrongs do not a right make.

        • לאה בן יעקב

Muchi, glad we can agree on “two wrongs do not a right make” when it comes to the murder of innocents.

Ask yourself, however, how is it that the Palestinians became occupied in the first place? Once you figure that out (here’s a hint, look up the history of the Palestine Liberation Organization in Google, check the organization’s founding date, then look up when Israel fought the 1967 War, subtract the values then say “huh”) then tell me that you still buy into your comments above, or even believe that there are indeed two wrongs. Best of luck to you.

I don’t understand that you continue with a liberal, jew hating humanist, brain washed by Islamic ideology and a perverted sense of justice……..

          • muchiboy

johnvanliet,I have yet to meet an Antisemitic liberal, humanist.Despite what Conrad and Dostoyevsky have to say on this matter,I don’t know if all three could exist in one body.

          • לאה בן יעקב

            They can and do exist.

          • לאה בן יעקב

It serves as therapy for me. And if, by miracle, I am able to fire an otherwise dormant neuron in a brainwashed soul, two points.

          • muchiboy

I think we can,or should, agree that both Peoples have a case here, and that both were victims, vulnerable and innocent,at one time or another, perhaps even of one another.
However,Zionists and the Diaspora have to acknowledge the horrific impact of the occupation of the Palestinian Homeland on the Palestinian People, culminating in their very own Nakba, just as the German People, and to some extent all of Humanity, are obliged to acknowledge their part in the persecution of the Jewish People, and the Holocaust. To me,denial of the above is similar in motive and agenda to Holocaust Denial.
A one state solution, modified or qualified, that would satisfy the needs, security and otherwise,of both Peoples,in a fair and just way, should be part of any conversation on resolving this long and tragic conflict between two Peoples and one land.I would like to think that over time, and with good will, magnanimosity and hope, security ensured,or at least satisfied, something good might come of this.
Really, לאה בן יעקב ,we are all God’s children, and more the same than different.

          • johngvanvliet

I wonder on which you base your idea of a Palestine Homeland what is your historical perception, I agree that God loves each one of us, contrary to the Palestinian believe which is based on a different Ideology. To think a one state solution is impossible due to that same difference of Ideology or believe system, Judaism, Christianity and Islam……… Judaism and Christanity can coexist without any problem, however this is not so with Islam which will not tolerate any other religion this.
Therefore to have peace in the region becomes only a talking issue. From a biblical perspective from the past there will never be peace in the Middle East History is past , a new future shaped some to some extend by history but at the present time changes that are taking place world wide has very little to do with past history, we dealing with a complete different development and issues history is irrelevant today, we like to base our thinking the past to plan the future, in my point of view a waste of time… First of all we dealing with totally new issues and we have not made any effort to really understand and address the issues, Islam and it influence in every society…. Unless there is political honesty and justice we can only see the decay of western civilization which will impact the human race in a very negative way …. and opens the way for dictatorships and human cruelty…. The fundamentals for peace in the Middle East if Islam will recognize and accept the Jewish people. but the Islamic teachings are to the contrary….. If you fight a war based on a ideology you never will win that war…..there are plenty facts to prove that…. so peace is a thought only it will never happen…. And history has not educated us to make peace, but create more deadly weaponry to kill ….

          • muchiboy

The Palestinian Homeland….the only impairment to acknowledging this would be out of denial, intentional or otherwise, for the sake of winning an argument or to satisfy an otherwise morally corrupt position.I recall a rather useful statement purportedly made by a delegation of Zionists from Vienna on returning to Europe after visiting Palestine:”The Bride is beautiful, but married to another man.” Any short reading on the Ottoman Empire,Palestine, will do.
Christians,Jews and Muslims lived together very well over time and place. We could argue that Christians were intolerant of Jews and Muslims over that same and different time and place.
History will never be irrelevent. We just must learn from it,and todate we have not done such a good job.
So far, despite setbacks,we have progressed in most areas,e.g.technology,behavior,ethically,etc.No reason why this should not continue, but we’ll have to await for the next season of “The Walking Dead”,to see what happens.
.Certainly Islam is in crisis, and it will be largely up to those communities to resolve any deficits, bringing important aspects of Modernity to those communities in need of it.

          • muchiboy

There is merit in a One State Solution,if only because it would satisfy the moral and ethical deficits caused by the occupation and Partition leading to displacement and de facto ethnic cleansing. Both Peoples have to accept some or many unpalatable realities,vs the current reality of continuous insecurity and bloodshed.Even a Two State Solution would not necessarily mean peace and security.Israel would likely still have a significant proportion of Arabs, and even though they hold Israeli citizenship, they mostly self identify as Palestinian.Zionist’s would have to swallow a divided Jerusalem,as East Jerusalem would become the capital of an independent Palestine.Even the status quo is becoming less and less viable, given the impatience f the EU with Israel refusing to move forward on recognition of Palestine and continued illegal settlements. While it is likely American support for Israel will continued, there are no certainties here,as can be seen from recent events.Furthermore,a Two State Sol’n by necessity would mean a viable, nearly contiguous Palestine with East Jerusalem as it’s capital, over Israel’s dead body,if need be.That is how it is looking going forward.
I am hopeful that man,and that means “them and us”,will progress. There is plenty of good will, magnanimosity and hope to have such optimism.Of course, the longer things go on the way they have, the more barriers to overcome. We have seen the PLO,PA and Hamas, and things have only deteriorated.Meanwhile,we have Islamic Jihadists waiting in the wings. The sooner we overcome the formidable barriers, physical, religious, cultural and mistrust and hatreds, the better.

          • johngvanvliet

I do not share your point of view, which Jerusalem will be divided between, not Zionist as you call them and Palestinians. but it will be an Islamic issue nothing to do with Hamas, Palestinians are harassed by Hamas and Hamas is set to destroy Israel, you may say Zionist…
Islam claims that Jerusalem belongs to them based on a event that Mohammed visited the city by being transported by celestial beings from Mecca to Jerusalem, this story has have been proven, also just before Mohammed died he instructed the killing of Jews and Christians, which Islam has been quilty of throughout it existence since 628 AD.
The issue regarding Israel is not a political conquest, but a religious one which Islam wants to be successful.
Many Islamic leaders have called for the elimination of Jews, and for that matter Christians.
Muslims have lived with Jews and Christians for they either demanded conversion to Islam or jizyah payments or were in a minority.
The Israeli state will have NO supporters in the end, special as the influence of Islam is becoming more powerful and demanding ( the failure of EU to take a firm stand against the demands of Islam in Europe and the abuse of the social systems in the EU.
Your position is a noble one but will never be achieved for the teachings of Islam are not based on a democratic system and will not allow any other laws but Sariah Law, Islam will only accept total control as we see in many muslim nations.
Israel the only nations in the Middle east with a democratic system has been an eyesore to Islam for many reasons.
The issue of the Israel and Islam will not be resolved by people like Obama, Kerry or Clinton for they speak untruth and have NO understanding of Islam and Judaism and for that matter Christianity.
From My perspective it is nota political quest but a religious one which everybody tries to make a political issue……… so far unsuccessful…… the reason??? just simple …DISHONESTY…..AND GREED

What do you expect from the followers of the “religion of peace.” They kill each other much better than anyone from the outside. Why would they suddenly treat a Jew better?

  • PAthena

What is “hate speech” and why is it a crime? As Tom Lehrer said, “I hate anyone who does not love his fellow man.” So those who have arrested Brazeau on charges of “hate speech” hate Brazeau and those charging him, including the judge who has sentenced him to prison, “hate” what he has said, and say so, namely, use “hate speech.” George Orwell would have loved to deal with this nonsense.
