“Chickens__t” Reporter Claims Obama is Pro-Israel

Here we go again. (via Lauri Regan)

Jeffrey Goldberg helped embarrass Obama by greedily pimping the “Chickens__t” quote thereby not only causing the latest crisis between Obama and the Jewish State, but sabotaging his own effort to harm Netanyahu while helping Obama.

Since then Goldberg has gone back to making the same tiresome arguments that a child can see through. The argument is a false choice. Liberals love it more than they love 50 dollar ethically sourced water. It goes something like this.

“Either you believe that the current immigration system works or you have to get behind my proposal for illegal alien amnesty. Either you believe that our national security is flawless or you have to back my plan to nuke Denver.”

The Goldberg variation on it is the same old, same old.

My rule of thumb is simple: If you believe that the status quo in the Middle East is sustainable, which is to say, if you believe that Israel can maintain its settlements across the West Bank ad infinitum, and continue, into the indeterminate future, to subvert those Palestinians still working for a two-state solution, then Obama can plausibly be judged — rhetorically, at least — as anti-Israel.

Goldberg is wrong in two ways.

First it’s possible not to hate Israel, but to believe that the situation is unstable. That’s not the case with Obama who does not like Israel and does not care very much whether the situation is sustainable or not. Though to be fair, no president cared whether it was sustainable.

Second, and more relevantly, no situation is sustainable “ad infinitum”, when it comes to countries.

Is the United States sustainable ad infinitum? History would suggest otherwise. Therefore the United States is unsustainable. So let’s nuke Denver.

All nations and civilizations are inherently unsustainable. It’s their imbalances that provide them with momentum and growth. A truly sustainable civilization would be static and dead incapable of growth or change.

That’s something liberals who love abusing the word sustainable even more than they love Obama, don’t see to grasp.

Third, there are no Palestinian Arabs working toward a two-state solution. The last round of negotiations, thoroughly sabotaged by Abbas, proved that.

Aside from everything else, that’s why Goldberg’s argument and the various “Israel needs to stop being selfish and do more for peace” are nothing more than crazy lies being used to sell a campaign against the Jewish State.

Israel has shown up to countless negotiations, made endless offers, only to get bombed, shot at and have the other side walk away at the last minute because that’s what it’s been doing ever since Arafat moved into the place.

The only thing that Jeffrey Goldberg’s latest screed establishes is that he’s a dishonest lying hack.

I think it is true that Obama is “pro-Israel”, but up until this point he has also been “pro-Hamas” and “pro-Fatah”, and that’s what needs to change. There is no rational equivalency between Israel, which seeks peace with its neighbors, and the so-called Palestinians, and their representatives, which seek only to destroy Israel. What would be helpful at this point is for Obama to announce that the peace process is over, that a state of war exists between Israel and her neighbors, and that Israel has a right to defend herself, any any aggression against against her will result in the possible forfeiture of additional Palestinian lands. That would clear the air and set the stage for going forward in a rational way, and I do fault Obama for not taking that kind of leadership role on this issue. The Free World is under attack by the worldwide forces of Islamic Jihad. As the President of the United States, Obama is the leader of the Free World. Just as Roosevelt understood his leadership role during WWII, Obama needs to understand his leadership role today. Hopefully in the last two years of his Presidency, we will see such leadership from our Commander in Chief.

Holy cow – I used to think Texans were smart. How depressing you are: 1. What evidence makes you “think” Obama is “pro-Israel”? 2. Do you really think Obama would EVER even threaten the possibility of the “forfeiture of additional Palestinian lands”? 3. What “Palestinian lands” have ever been forfeited (other than “Arab” land lost in wars of aggression)? 4. Somehow, although you think that the POTUS has been “pro-Hamas” as well as “pro-Israel”, there is the slightest chance that he would now suddenly realize he was “mistaken”, even as we continue to fund the “Palestinians” (i.e. Hamas) to this day? 5. Isn’t arguing that Obama has been pro-Hamas “up until this point” but will somehow see the error of his ways, analogous to thinking that Roosevelt must have been pro-Nazi until he finally figured out that Nazis were kind of bad? Actually, Roosevelt presided over a nation that loved liberty and Roosevelt actually loved America himself. What would lead you to compare Obama to him?! 6. After six years, you are hopeful that Obama will emerge as a responsible leader of the free world? – like I said, I used to think Texans were smart…You have intelligence but have not a clue how to judge a person’s character or intentions, even with a mountain of evidence to work with…God help us.

      • Texas Patriot

What Israel needs is a wake-up call, and Barack Obama is just the one to deliver it. Grinding human shields to death because it can’t think of a better way to defend itself is not the answer. If Israel wants to survive, it’s going to have to start confiscating the lands of its attackers and expelling hostile inhabitants. That way, either the attacks will cease or Israel will expand its borders and its security. There is no other way forward for a nation surrounded by neighbors whose only intent is to destroy it.

        • Sgt. Seth

What’s with you and your “man-crush” on Barack Obama? Just ask him out, Michelle won’t mind, I promise…

          • Texas Patriot

What army were you in, Sarge? I don’t know anything about “man-crushes”. What I know about is respect. And people who have no respect for a man like Barack Obama do not have mine.

          • Sgt. Seth

            You swallow.

          • Texas Patriot

I hate to tell you, Sarge, but perverts like you don’t last long in Texas. My advice is to stay far, far away.

          • Sgt. Seth

Like I said – YOU SWALLOW.

    • http://ruleofreason.blogspot.com/ Edward Cline

You know, I’m beginning to believe that Texas harbors more fools than smart cowboys. Texas Patriot, have you been infected with Ebola, or liberalism?

      • Texas Patriot

Not at all. Obama is much more of a patriot than you imagine, and I think you will see proof positive of that in the final two years of his Presidency.

        • Yehuda Levi

I have heard this speech before.

Obama is not going to change in his last two years. He is a Muslim sympathizer and cares very little about Israel or Jews.

He is on the path to being the worst president ever. He will accomplish that goal.

        • JayWye

          that’s Weapons-Grade Stupid.

“The Obama Doctrine can be described in just nine words: Embolden our enemies, undermine our friends, diminish our country.” Frank J. Gaffney Jr.

Comrade Obama IS the muslim Manchurian Candidate.

          • Larry Larkin

It’s more than Weapons-Grade Stupid, it’s widely deployed Weapons of Mass Destruction Grade Stupid.
Which becomes obvious when you realise that not only was the Empty Suit of Pennsylvania Avenue elected, but re-elected.

        • Sgt. Seth

I notice you speak out of your colon with unerring consistency – you’re actually a Democrat from LA, San Fran or NYC aren’t you pardner? No Texan would be cow-pie stupid like yourself…

        • http://ruleofreason.blogspot.com/ Edward Cline

Obama is a patriot for Islam. And statism. And you must be a troll, or a volunteer White House shill. Obama is going to do as much damage to this country as he can in his last two years. YOU wait and see.

        • Atikva

Nobody in his right mind wants to see more of Mr. Obama’s presidency, we have had more than enough already.

    • bigjulie

Obama is only pro-caliphate! It will be his last chance to get the dictatorship of his dreams…which is where I hope his ambitions stay!

      • Texas Patriot

I wonder if Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi still thinks Obama is pro-Caliphate.

    • Atikva

“As the President of the United States, Obama is the leader of the Free World.” First, Mr. Obama may have been elected in 2008, but he most probably was not in 2012. Second, even as a “leader from behind”, he has
amply proven that he is unable to lead anything – not his wife, not his party, surely not America and even less the free world (or what’s left of it). He just continues to dream his cockamamie dream, like the sleepwalker on the cartoon.

      • Texas Patriot

Barack Obama is an American Idealist and an American Dreamer who believes in individual freedom, human rights, and constitutional democracy, and that puts him head and shoulders above most of his enemies, at home and abroad. I agree that he has failed to lead well or to create a strong national consensus on issues important to all Americans. Hopefully he will finish strong and his last two years will make up for the first six. We shall see.

        • Atikva

Sorry, no, no way, absolutely not. Mr. Obama may be an American on paper (maybe), but one thing is abundantly sure: America is not his beloved homeland, the land dear to his heart. In fact, his actions clearly demonstrate that he hates America.

As to his being “head and shoulders” above… whomever, please get real.

          • Texas Patriot

His mother was American. His father emigrated to America. And he was born in America. That makes him American. And he’s someone who puts his life on the line every day for America. In my book, that means he loves America, and that’s more than I can say for many of his detractors.

America is a work in progress, and unfortunately we have fallen behind in many areas over the last fifty years. There is no doubt that Obama has failed to bring the Change We Can Believe In that he promised in 2008, but now that the Democrat Party has been soundly defeated and diminished by the American people, maybe we will see more of the All-American Obama during his last two years in office.

          • Atikva

No, his father never emigrated to America. He just spent some time there as a foreign student with leftist tendencies enjoying a scholarship, like many other students from developing countries. As to his mother, she is the one who married a leftist Indonesian and emigrated to the muslim country where her son was raised. And as to his being born in America, maybe, just maybe.

But if he loves our country so much, why can’t he seem able to show it the way we all do in public?

If his love of America is so evident, how come America has constantly worsened in all areas, domestic and foreign, since his arrival at the White House? How come he has so often humiliated her? Come on, Texas patriot, you are delusional and I doubt you even are a Texan.

Lastly, if Mr. Obama’s life is on the line as a public person, that’s the hazard of the trade he has chosen for himself. And he is collecting a lot of compensations to sweeten the pill.

Thank Senator Obama and President Obama for Iron Dome.

He also hired not one but 2 Jewish Chiefs of Staff.

    • johninohio1

In what way did Obama make Iron Dome possible as a senator and president?
How does hiring two Jews equate with favoring or tolerating Israel?
Are these Jews pro-Israel, because there are many who aren’t.
Are they in any position to exert influence over Obama’s decisions visa vie Israel?
If you bother to respond, you response will be null and void in my mind if you don’t respond to every question.

      • meggy8868

Yes, I believe it was Rahm Emanuel’s brother who wrote the tome known as Obama Care. Rahm Emanuel and Eric Cantor,( from before O’s administration) turned out to be not such good Jewish choices though I had high hopes for Eric Cantor. And how does an unelected Emanuel brother have the green light to write a bill that punishes America? Not good for Israel or America.

        • johninohio1

          null & void

      • MrUniteUs1

I give you some time to look it up. Got to go now.

        • johninohio1

          null & void

    • ElmoGlick

The U.S. did not develop Iron Dome. The technology was developed in Israel, by Israelis. It is true that some of the funding came from the U.S. Israel agreed that it would purchase many of the components from U.S. companies, so this has been an investment in American industry. If the U.S. did not exist, I believe Israel would have developed Iron Dome anyway, but it would have put a much heavier economic burden on Israel. The fact he has had a couple of Jewish chiefs of staffs says nothing. Many Jews don’t care whether he hates or dislikes Israel or not. They have other priorities. The anti-semitic judge, Aubrey Robinson, who sentenced Jonathan Pollard to life–unjustifiably–has had Jewish law clerks. It means nothing.

      • rsilverm

Well said. The Israelis invented and built Iron Dome themselves.

      • MrUniteUs1

Why not just a short thank you American tax payers.

        • Atikva

Why not just a big thank you to the Israelis for helping the american economy?

If only the same requisite would go with our taxpayers money gifts to the muslim countries, but no, they are too busy killing right and left, they can’t be bothered with work and economic development.

    • JayWye

Comrade Obama had NOTHING to do with Israel’s Iron Dome.

    • Larry Larkin

Some of the most virulent and vicious anti-Semites out there are Jews.
Ranging from Marx to that darling of the leftards Chomsky.

      • bigjulie

They’re all JINOs! They sport their Jewish heritage as a kind-of Iron Dome of their own! Strictly for self-protection from their contemporaries, but its all a ruse to take the heat off when they spout their “loyal stupidities”!

    • Atikva

The only thing I would thank Mr. Obama for would be his resignation. Come to think of it, no, not even for that.

  • johninohio1

    Daniel Greenfield

    A better word choice:

“All nations and civilizations are inherently unsustainable (unstable). It’s their imbalances that provide them with momentum and growth. A truly sustainable (stable) civilization would be static and dead incapable of growth or change.”

On the other hand, any sustainable society must maintain stability in some of it’s most important aspects in order to survive the shock of change in other aspects. So it’s too exclusionary to view a civilization is being at either extreme–stable or unstable. Stable to what degree, in what aspects and how does it deal with change–that’s the question.

  • Hi there

My rule of thumb is simple: People who do everything in their power to undermine and humiliate a certain state, should not be surprised when they are considered anti-said state. Or at least not pro-said state.
And rule number 2: if you love someone and can only hurl insults at that person, leak their secrets, play with their safety, then you should go see a shrink. You need to learn how to express your love without acting out.
