Christie’s Dishonest Response on Appointing Terror Lawyer as Superior Court Judge

The real question that should have been asked of Christie at the RJC is about his association with Hamas Imam Mohammed Qatanani, instead Christie diverted to a defense of why he appointed Sohail Mohammed, the Imam’s lawyer, to a Superior Court Judgeship.

Christie was asked about Sharia law. He replies that this all comes from appointing a “Muslim man who immigrated to this country as a child.” But Sohail wasn’t just any Muslim man.

Sohail Mohammed is a board member of the American Muslim Union, an organization that has interlocking leadership with groups that have fundraised for Hamas and hosted a Hamas speaker. The American Muslim Union is closely interlinked with Qatanani’s Islamic Center of Passaic County.

Sohail Mohammed was Qatanani’s original lawyer when the government began its case against him.

Despite the fact that Mohammed Qatanani was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, the organization that is behind both Al Qaeda and Hamas, despite his own guilty plea to being a member of Hamas, and despite the fact that even in the United States, he had defended a charity that provided funds to children of suicide bombers (this is done as an incentive to reassure terrorists that if they die their families will be taken care of), Qatanani was not deported.

Christie called Qatanani, “a man of great goodwill” and “a constructive force”. Christie attended a Ramadan dinner, in the same place where terrorists had fundraised, and kissed Qatanani on the cheek.

Christie goes into a memorized bio full of cheesy praise of Sohail, without ever mentioning Qatanani, then in a fit of phony outrage, he puffs up at Sohail being asked about “Jihad” at his hearing.

“Sohail Mohammed knows as much about jihad as I do,” Christie says. Except considering Christie’s past work as a Federal prosecutor, he should know quite a bit about it.

And considering Sohail’s work in terror related issues and his ties to a Hamas terrorist, it’s no surprise that he would be asked about Jihad.

Then Christie insists that Sohail knows as much about Sharia as he does. That would make Sohail a very bad Muslim or it makes Christie a buffoon who doesn’t know what Sharia law even means.

Christie isn’t even trying to be honest here. He has left out the most basic pieces of the puzzle. And the quality of his memorized speech strongly suggests to me that this was a planted question which reeks of extreme ugliness because that would mean that he chose to use a Jewish forum as a platform for going into his “Just because he’s a Muslim ” rant.

It smacks of another planted viral video, except this time pandering to the liberals who have turned on him.

I’ll stay home before I vote for this RINO liar.

I talked to my spouse about Gov Christie. They brought up Christies lack of discipline with their weight. They wonder what else Christie could lack discipline. That is would they misuse government funds via the usual ways, government contracts to cronies.

One of my kids calls Christie, Krispy Creme. They think Ann Coulter is wrong for singing Christie’s praises.

Christie is still not quite out of the woods over Bridgegate. Nor is forgiven for having an arm in arm stroll with Obama down the beach immediately before the 2012 election.

Myself I would pull the lever for Christie over Biden or Hillary. it would be the lesser of 2 evils. The establishment thinks they can pull this crap over and over again. It just means we will be madder than HeII and will look to knock off the RINOS in the primaries during the midterms and all the other subsequent elections.

Than strategy of the Libertarian and other parties should be the strategy of Conservative Party of New York. Caucus with the Republicans to keep the Liberals out of power, but keep chipping away at the RINOS. when we have won enough offices in enough state we start putting up Presidential Candidates and ignore the RNC.

The fact is that Christie is simply unacceptable, and we Conservatives must stop him in the primaries. We can do so if we unite behind a Conservative candidate early on.

        • A Z

I agree stop him in the primaries.

But if somehow he squeaks through, not voting for president in the general election is almost the same as voting for a Democrat. It is a either/ or (XOR) type of deal.

It would be nice not to have to pay attention to every last news items but we don’t have that luxury. It will be like when we defeated the 2007 immigration bill backed by McCain and Bush. It should not have been necessary but it was.

          • objectivefactsmatter

            You are correct.

          • NAHALKIDES

My view is that while Conservatives have always supported the Republican candidate in the past, this time if the Establishment forces one of its own on us we should withdraw support and let the Democrat win. The Establishment must learn that only Conservative candidates will be acceptable from now on – they can go Conservative and have a chance or run another Establishment clown and be guaranteed a loss when we withhold our support.

          • Americanish

If we play a game of chicken with the RINOs, they will win.

They are suffering from Dunning–Kruger effect or want to be Democrats. For the latter Mark Kirk comes to mind. He is supporting incumbent senator DICK Durbin over the Republican challenger. For the former Howard Prescott from the movie Secret of my Success comes to mind. Rush Limbaugh has said that the Republicans enjoy being in the minority. Robert H. Michel comes to mind. He reasoned that so long he was the loyal opposition playing the link ans such was just peachy. He said it recently that the Republican senators do nit want to be in the majority after 2014 because they would have to do something.

Sean Hannity described the set up of the conservative Party in New York. They caucus with the Republican but they support their own candidates in different districts. We need to build on that model.

We need some post election recalls also to take out some senators. If we start picking of one an election cycle after the election and then up it to 3 they will be scared. Especially if we take out a senator though an election. Mark Kirk is a candidate. He supports Obama Care & the incumbent Democrat Senator. He is only fiscally conservative. So he is 2/3rds Democrat. One also has to wonder about his divorce. After he hits the top his wife divorces him. Was he swinging from the chandeliers?

The “lesser of two evils” attitude only hurts when idiots start looking in the primaries for someone that appeals to leftists or they reject a good candidate with the simple argument that he or she is not viable as a winner. That’s bullshit. It’s better to show a good candidate that “can’t win.” You might win the election, and you win battles in the culture war even if you lose the election.

The problem is trying too hard to win the final election and losing the culture wars doing it. For example by promoting RINOs.

      • PharmDoc61

Part of how we’ve gotten to this point is voting for the lesser of two evils.

        • kevinstroup

        • objectivefactsmatter

And we need a complete solution. Voting for the lesser of two evils is the salve on the wound, not the solution to the disease.

      • Ban Liberals

The fact that you “would pull the lever for Christie over Biden or Hillary. it would be the lesser of 2 evils” is proof that they CAN keep pulling this crap and get away with it.

        • A Z

The alternative is to not vote or to vote a partial ticket where you do not vote for president.

That will get us Obama or someone like him every 2 to 4 weeks is like a gut punch with Obama being totally worthless on the world & domestic stage.

We need to get rid of Cornyn, Boehner, Flake, Kirk & others at the primaries.

        • objectivefactsmatter

Yes, but not pulling the lever is not the remedy. The remedy must be applied before, to keep the option out entirely.

          Get it?

  • seewithyourowneyes

This is terrifying. Christie must go, and dhimmie Grover Norquist along with him.

  • chelmer

History will repeat itself. The conservatives will fragment the vote among seven or eight candidates and the RINO, be it Christie or Bush, will cruise in.

  • 1stworlder

Is there anyone Christy wont hug?
