ClintonCare Memo: “People and Businesses Will Not See a Decrease in Their Premiums”

Hillary Clinton is positioning to run as the candidate who will fix ObamaCare with a dose of ClintonCare. There are three problems with that…

1. ObamaCare is ClintonCare

2. ClintonCare had the same problems as ObamaCare

3. ClintonCare was terrible

The documents from the Clinton Library bear that out.

In a White House Memo, staff conceded that “People and businesses will not see a decrease in their premiums.”

So much for reducing the cost of health care. Neither ClintonCare nor ObamaCare were going to do that. So they both had to lie about it.

“One of the objectives that the President directed us to pursue from the very beginning was how did we make this a financial benefit for the majority of Americans who are already insured?

There is no way we could in good conscience go to the American public and present a plan that would either alter their expectations about what the system looks like while at the same time increasing their costs and perhaps not providing the kind of security that they need and they should be able to rely on.” (Hillary Clinton, Speech To Congressional Republican Leadership, 9/9/93)

So much for the good conscience.

In a 1994 White House Memo, Clinton Aides Worried About Over-Promising That People Would Be Able To Choose Their Doctors And Health Plans Since “We Know Full Well We Won’t Deliver.”

“We have a line on p. 10 that says ‘You’ll pick the health plan and doctor of your choice.’ This sounds great and I know that it’s just what people want to hear. But can we get away with it? Isn’t the whole thrust of our health plan to steer people toward cheaper, HMO-style providers? It’s one thing to say we’ll preserve your option to pick the doctor of your choice (recognizing that this will cost more), it’s quite another to appear to promise the nation that everyone will get to pick the doctor of his or her choice. And that’s exactly what this line does. I am very worried about getting skewered or over-promising here on something we know full well we won’t deliver.”

Obama obviously didn’t get that memo.

A White House Aide Warned Hillary Clinton That A Prominent House Democrat Was Concerned That An Employer Mandate Would Have “A Devastating” Impact “On Small Businesses.”

Just another memo that Obama didn’t get. What Hillary Clinton will be offering has the same problems as ObamaCare.

So the Clintons had at least some advisors that had a little bit of conscience. Obama and his minions have none.

I expect Hillary to begin with her ” we’re America, we can fix anything” hogwash. She’ll commiserate with the victims of Obamacare. She’ll “feel your pain,” then promise common sense, professional solutions that will resolve the difficulties and right the wrongs. She’ll also remind us that “we can’t go back to the failed past.” That is the de rigueur socialist mantra. The past, however, will predictably jump an administration back to Bush. All failure reverts to Bush.

But Obama DID get the memo. Internal documents from his staff confirmed that he also knew fully well his promises to the American public were lies.

the only way to fix obamacare is to repeal obamacare. Then tell the people behind it there is a boat to cuba it would be best not to miss it.

“and perhaps not providing the kind of security that they need and they should be able to rely on”

There is a lot of obscuring going on in Hillary’s words. One could honestly get the ideal that people, who already have insurance, might be less secure under HillaryCare than under their previous insurance.

So she would doing this why?

    Power?
