CNN Won’t Cover “Local Story” of Dem State Senator Busted by FBI for Missile Arms Deal

Bridegate

A Washington Post reporter claimed that she wasn’t covering the Kermit Gosnell House of Horrors trial because it was a “local story”. The Trayvon Martin fight however was a national story.

Now Leland Yee, a California State Senator and mayoral candidate who had repeatedly been in the national news for his crusade against violent video games and 3D printed guns, got busted by the FBI trying to negotiate an arms deal involving automatic weapons and shoulder fired missiles with an arms dealer tied to Muslim terrorists.

That’s not just a national news story. It’s a season of 24.

“Yee explained he has known the arms dealer for a number of years and has developed a close relationship with him.” The undercover agent told Yee he wanted automatic weapons and shoulder-fired missiles and offered to pay Yee $100,000 after the first deal.

“According to Senator Yee, the arms dealer is ‘low-key’ and has been trafficking weapons for quite a while,” the document says. “According to Senator Yee, the arms dealer sourced the weapons from Russia.”

The agent told Yee and Jackson he wanted any type of shoulder-fired weapons or missiles, the affidavit says; Yee asked whether he wanted automatic weapons, and the agent confirmed he did — about $500,000 to $2.5 million worth.

The Yee case has also broken the California Senate’s Democratic supermajority which is another story of significant importance.

But to CNN, it’s just a minor local news story.

Conspiracy? No conspiracy here.

A bridge being closed down in New Jersey, that’s a national news story. An ambitious anti-gun State Senator whose anti-gun antics CNN repeatedly reported on getting busted for massive level arms trafficking is just a local story.

Here’s a primer.

Pro-gun activist shoots someone. National news story.

Anti-gun activist shoots someone. Local story.

White man shoots black man. National news story.

Black man shoots white man. Local news story. (Unless it was in response to racism.)

Religious figure molests a child. National news story.

Teacher’s union member molests a child. Local news story. (Unless the teacher is female and can be marketed.)

Leland Yee announces he wants to fight violent video games and 3D printed guns. National news story.

Leland Yee tries to broker a shoulder fired missile deal. Local story.

How pathetically biased is CNN? Even MSNBC’s Rachael Maddow blog mentioned the Yee arrest. That’s right. CNN is now more unwilling to report on the arrest of a high profile Democrat than MSNBC.

Gee CNN was the last news truck to leave Central Florida during the Trayvon Martin George Zimmerman jury trial but they cant be bothered with local Senators who deal in shoulder-fired weapons or missiles?
    Small fry.

    • Teddi

CNN is in the left’s anti-gun business. The Dem senator was in the pro-gun business. Therefore it doesn’t fit their agenda…

    • objectivefactsmatter

The irony here? The Martin case really was just a local crime story. Until the 5th column…er…4th estate got involved.

It’s unfair to judge CNN on the basis of their news coverage. They no longer cover news. They should now be judged based on their achievemnents in a*s coverage. When it’s the Democrats in general, it’s known as CDA. When it’s Obama’s a*s they’re desperately try to cover, it’s COA. Journalism at CNN is DOA, but they are really good at journalistic obscurantism.

    • Teddi

CNN does excel in the all gay all the time department…

      • Hass

Haha! Why does Limp wrist Cooper come to mind?

  • Gee

Considering that he attempted to sell the weapons to Muslim terrorists attempting to conquer the Philippines – doesn’t that make it international news?

    • objectivefactsmatter

      Nahhh…

  • objectivefactsmatter

A local crime story involving a Ca senator and international gun trade. No big deal. He’s a D.

  • Hass

Like all MSM, they are for the clueless.

  • tagalog

    Does anybody still watch CNN?

  • ntvnyr30

Psst! CNN—that’s why you have no ratings and are destined for the ash-heap of TV history.

  • nomoretraitors

They won’t cover something that even Rachel Madcow mentioned???
It’s sad to see how far CNN has fallen. I used to think they were at least a decent network

  • NAHALKIDES

A new low for CNN. We must use every opportunity to express our disrespect for and disregard of this propaganda organ for the Democratic Party. CNN is simply not a news organization.

  • kertitor

It is time to them to lose fund.
