Dem Senator’s Son Claims Iraq Vet Running Against Him has “Sense of Entitlement”

“Political offices pass down to the family, right?”

Creedence Clearwater Revival sang, “I ain’t no senator’s son, I ain’t no fortunate one” back in the sixties. Senator Mark Pryor however is a senator’s son.

His father Senator David Hampton Pryor, held an Arkansas senate seat from 1979 to 1997. Now his son Senator Mark Pryor is running for reelection and hoping to keep the Pryor seat in the family.

Senator Mark Pryor, the son of a senator and a governor, did take the time to express his thoughts on the “sense of entitlement”, a favorite liberal term, felt by his opponent Tom Cotton.

“There’s a lot of people in the Senate that didn’t serve in the military,” Pryor told NBC News. “Obviously in the Senate we have all types of different people, all kinds of different folks that have come from all types of different backgrounds—and I think that’s part of that sense of entitlement that he gives off is that, almost like, I served my country, let me into the Senate. But that’s not how it works in Arkansas.”

What are Tom Cotton’s qualifications?

He graduated Harvard magna cum laude and received his law degree from Harvard Law School. Then he joined the US Army in the middle of the bloodiest period in Iraq and attended Ranger School.

Mark Pryor graduated from the University of Arkansas. Three years after leaving law school, he ran for office.

While Cotton, a Harvard law grad who could have been running for office, was serving in Iraq, Pryor had taken his daddy’s old job. If there’s anyone who is an expert on a sense of entitlement, it’s Senator Pryor.

There is nothing more unbecoming on a man than envy and jealousy. Oh, and a heaping dose of arrogance. Class act, Senator.

    • darnellecheri

The Senator would have done more for himself if he, at least, would have commended his opponents military service. What a putz.

      • DennisMets

you will rarely ever see any democreap commend anyone for their police or military service. Because they know to keep the blacks voting for them they have to be anti military and anti flag anthem and anti United States

        • DennisMets

How many times have you saw a gathering of democreaps and they have a starts and stripes ? or they talk about bettering America? Republicans always talk about and focus on what is best for the whole nation where democreaps are only interested in helping minorities esp blacks

Game over for Arkansas’ Pryor, unless ACORN can rig – I mean get out – the vote.
BTW, ACORN was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1970.

  • Habbgun

Sounds like a career family Democrat. Self-serving, self pity. Plus lots of easy money. Not exactly a formula for good leadership.

  • mendezjb

He has the first qualification for a liberal running for office. Zero real world experience

How it works in Arkansas is to have State Troopers procure concubines for the Governor while his wife makes 100 G’s in cattle futures, then involve themselves in a land development scheme called Whitewater. Learn from the best Mr. Pryor.

Yeah, who do those vets think they are? Just because they risked their lives in defense of the country doesn’t mean they have a right to lead the country. Leave the leadership to the spoiled sons of corrupt senators. That’s how it works in ProgressiveLand.

It’s amazing how the Left doesn’t see its own projection. They are constantly projecting their dishonesty, arrogance, hostility, bigotry, and right of entitlement thinking onto the Right. This is a classic.

Pryor may be too stupid to see it, but the voters won’t miss the irony of Pryor’s whining.

  • DennisMets

the only thing that would make pryor more perfect of a liberal democrat is if he were black, then he would be one of the entitled

  • A Z

Let’s turn this on its’ head.

Let call this senate seat, The Pryor seat.

It is what was done in Massachusetts with THE KENNEDY Seat.

  • Renie Laster Keen Roseberry

Well he may not have a SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT – But I Believe He Earns It.

  • SouthernMan

Oh, ya’ll go easy on the senator. He’s merely towing the typical democrat line–disrespect for the military and the personnel serving all of us by placing there lives on the line. Why in the world should we think our troops deserve any entitlement–you know, thats reserved for this son-of-a-senator, not for some upstart, war hero, Harvard graduate who loves his country and wants to put her back on the road to freedom, integrity and properity. But, you know, the senator is in like Flint with the likes of that progressive Chicago, Arkansas, New York woman Hillary of Banghazi fame and that great community organizer Barach. As the old saying goes, elections have consequences, and we may not want to take a chance on pulling our nation out of the mess it is in. Let’s just stick with our old college boy senator. He inherited that position, and HE IS ENTITLED TO IT!

  • jmulcahy

Who says they don’t have chutzpah in Arkansas? Mark Prior, to the manor born, accuses opponent of “sense of entitlement.” Funny stuff.

  • Inane Rambler

    Take heart. It’s Arkansas.

  • carpe diem 36

to hear this senator talk you think he did not graduate high school. what an ignoramus!!!

  • Sharpshooter

Pryor needs a good spanking, something his old man should have done YEARS ago….with a Louisville Slugger.
