Democrats Blackmailing GOP Pro-Amnesty Senators by Refusing to Pass Amnesty

<

Bugs Bunny: “He’s got me dead to rights, doc. Would you like to shoot him here, or wait till you get home?”

Daffy Duck: “Oh, no, you don’t. Not this time. Wait till you get home”

I don’t know who is worse at negotiating with the enemy; Obama with Putin or Rubio with Schumer. If there are any Senate poker games, I think we know who loses them badly.

By the end of this process, Republican pro-amnesty senators won’t have any pants left.

Senate Republicans say they’ll try to pass immigration reform legislation in the next two years if they take back the Senate in November.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), a central member of the coalition that passed a comprehensive reform bill in the Senate last year, said he would craft a better legislative approach if Republicans control the upper chamber in 2015.

But Democrats are threatening that if the House does not pass a comprehensive immigration reform bill this year the issue will be dead in 2015 and 2016, sinking the GOP brand among Hispanics ahead of the 2016 election.

Democrats, however, would balk at reforming the nation’s immigration laws through a variety of separate bills.

Sen. Charles Schumer (N.Y.), the lead author of the comprehensive Senate immigration bill, signaled Wednesday that Democrats would not be willing to join in such an effort.

He threatened to force Republicans to pay the price in the presidential election if they do not agree to pass a reform by year’s end.

He said House Republicans have a narrow window between early June and the August recess to act.

“I am saying that if Speaker [John] Boehner [Ohio], [House Majority] Leader [Eric] Cantor [Va.], and other Republican leaders refuse to schedule a vote on immigration reform during this window, it will not pass until 2017 at the earliest,” he said on the Senate floor Wednesday.

“I believe it would then pass in 2017 after Republicans take a shellacking in the Presidential election,” he added.

This is typical of the stupid way that the GOP establishment self-destructs. Its consultants become convinced that the only way to save the GOP is to destroy it. Caught between a conservative base and its consultants who tell it to be more like the Democrats, it tries to fake right and then go left. The whole thing self-destructs and then the establishments blames the “radicals” in their own party for not letting them defect on schedule.

The GOP becomes so turned out that it finds itself begging the Democrats to help it commit suicide and the Democrats bargain with the Republicans for the right to allow them to commit suicide.

Refer back to the Daffy Duck video at the top. It’s not just there for amusement value. The GOP is Daffy Duck convinced that after being shot so many times there, it can only escape the pain by being shot now.

The GOP establishment wants to avoid amnesty before midterms while passing it before the election. The Democrats want to force amnesty through now while they still have more leverage and more ability to take credit for it.

Either way Obama will get the majority of the credit. And either way the GOP will have even more trouble winning future elections. But the GOP is convinced that it’s the timing of when they get shot that matters, not avoiding being shot.

Amnesty won’t do anything except give the Democrats a permanent majority. The cartoon expresses my feelings about the Republican leadership, the only thing I see wrong is that Democrats aren’t that smart either, they just have a stupid base and willing accomplices in the media.

      Exactly 100 percent correctomento!

That was my Mexican translation for the amnesty seekers.

It still hasn’t occurred to the Republicans that any Amnesty is the death knell of the party. The Republican leadership, an oxymoron if ever there was one, still thinks that if they pass Amnesty, hordes of Hispanics will vote for them. Wrong. The Left will brag to the Hispanics that they forced the cowardly Republicans to vote for it, even though the Republicans still harbor racist feelings towards them. The Republicans will get branded as racist wussies and then do what they always do: lose the election because they don’t have a clue how to fight, have the combined IQ of algae, and a lower testosterone level than the average prom queen.

The “thinking” in Moronville goes something like this: the geniuses advising the Republicans convince them to announce, with great fanfare, that a “bi-partisan deal has been reached” and that the Republicans will pass Amnesty. The reaction of sane conservatives will be incandescent. Not to worry, we will be assured. Now no one can call us racists anymore, plus, we’ll take the House and the Senate in 2014. We’ll override vetos and do great things. Everyone will see that we are noble, wise, and just. We’ll ride the great wave of Hispanic love right into 2016 and win the presidency! What could be easier? Losing in 2014 could be easier. The demoralized, disgusted voters on the Right will stay home and the Left will continue to barely hold the senate…then we’ll lose in 2016 because Obama will have made 20,000,000 illegal aliens legal Democratic voters by then. Yes, there will be more than anybody thought there were.

I wish I was Elmer Fudd.

  • Ban Liberals

    PRECISELY!

RINO Republicans are the death knell of the party, and they are too stupid to see what’s happening. If Clinton wins in ’16, we will likely not see another RFepublican presidency in our lifetimes, if ever.

AMERICA DOES NOT WANT A SELLOUT!

    AMERICA DOES NOT WANT AMNESTY!

the major RINO for amnesty is Rand Paul.

      • Ban Liberals

Not sure about that, but he DID just patronize a gathering of blacks by telling them that he is OPPOSED to voter ID and denigrated it. By doing that he lost any support I might have given him permanently.

Was unaware he was THAT bad; thanks!

Now I won’t vote for him twice.

Just like the dead liberals who vote.

            You are welcome

Time to get US workers out of the shadows of unemployment and on a pathway to jobs. Step #1 – No amnesty. Step # 2 – End all illegal immigration. Step # 3 – Lower the numbers for legal immigration.
America has a current population over over 310,000,000. Anyone who says immigration is required for economic growth is a fool or a liar.

The cheap-labor, open borders POLS need to go. Defeat Eric “Crazy Ivan” Cantor in June 10th primary in Virginia!

Obama already has his Dream Act Amnesty from his 2012 Executive Order and said he (Obama) will continue his Amnesty Executive Orders.

The Rand Paul Evolution: Rand Paul calls for ‘path to citizenship’ for illegals

By Rosalind S. Helderman, Published: March 19, 2013

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), a conservative tea party icon and possible 2016
presidential contender, endorsed an overhaul of the nation’s immigration laws
that would allow the nation’s estimated 11 million illegal immigrants to obtain
    legalized status.

“Immigration will not occur until conservative
Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution.

Rand Paul: GOP must get ‘beyond deportation’

    By: Katie Glueck

    April 1, 2014

Sen. Rand Paul on Tuesday argued the Republican Party needs to get “beyond deportation” in order to break through to Hispanic voters

    —-

Then you have his dad Ron Paul when in Congress voted against every bill that would fence the border.
    —————-

The Democrats and Libertarians are the major pushers for amnesty.
Rand Paul is also against E verify.

Eric Cantor is an Israel-first traitor and wants to keep am immigration window open for the Jews.

They better watch out. They pass Amnesty, putting more citizens out of work, there will be protests, and we all know how those can get out of hand….

I sympathize the illegals (yes, they’re illegals, they’re breaking USA law) as well. They’ve been sold a bill of goods by Obama and the Democrats. They’ll get here and find out there are no jobs for them. Or they’ll run out of welfare because the cost of welfare will greatly exceed tax income.

Maybe the LEGAL citizens and the illegals can get together and riot against the government in Washington DC.

    • Noctis Wolf

PS: I don’t want Amnesty passed.
