Most normal adults understand the importance of survival and the rather strict requirements needed to insure a safe future.

If you like freedom - as well as survival - there are even more requirements.

We’re talking here about living and dying – not only as individuals but as a society, a nation, a way of life. If you value freedom and survival you don’t simply feel their importance you step up to the plate and protect them.

The first thing you do to survive is to abandon child-like emotion.

Feelings are wonderful, they give life joy, but they don’t win wars.

Reason wins wars and insures survival.

The 1960’s gave us, “If it feels good do it,” and an entire movement – a philosophy and political party coalesced to insure everyone feels good, no one ever feels bad, and if we all do good things the world will be a better place and peace is certain. This is an emotional bubble within which today’s liberals live, but if it is broken it is defenseless against people who don’t “feel” like they do and it unfortunately plays out as the inevitable preordained death wish it is.

History might call this “anti-survival.” In the vernacular it’s called suicide.

My feelings naturally love the sun and wind and water and I wish these would sustain me but they don’t. As much as I want them to they don’t.

We need food. We need fuel. My family, my neighbors, my friends, my community, and my country need to survive and our sappy feelings are getting in the way. We need to give way to reason if we want to live and prosper.

While our feelings insist we all get along reason bluntly states we do not.

Reason tells us and history justifies that America has proven the veracity of individual thought while government edict restricts ingenuity. Individual thought has brought us electricity and light, the transistor and computers, and myriad fuels which are only a brief bridge to even greater innovation.

To cross that bridge we need to rely on reason and its creative power to solve our exigent problems - not feelings which kill the opportunity to do so.

You do realize that photosynthesis, solar, hydro, wind and oil all derive from the sun directly or indirectly?

The only energy source that does not derive from the sun is nuclear (fission or fusion).

Do you realize the cost of wind & solar? Wind and solar are costing us a lot of dead birds. And the newest mega solar plant is causing problems with airline pilots.

“electricity rates will necessary skyrocket…. Coal-powered plants, natural gas plants, you name it, whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations, that will cost money, that they will pass that money on to consumers.” -Barack Obama
Something tells me Mountain Man that you won't be able to troll much longer because you will not be able to afford electricity for your computer.
BTW do you know what the ITER is?
