Harry Reid Blames Internet for HealthCare.gov Problems

Sure. It’s not that Healthcare.gov is a documented disaster. It’s that people don’t know how to use the internet.

Somehow they manage to shop at Amazon, bid on eBay and share on Facebook, but when it comes to Healthcare.gov, they lose all their internet skills.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) said the fault of struggling to sign up on the Obamacare exchanges didn’t lie with the faulty website, but with the people who weren’t “educated on how to use the Internet.”

Explaining the reasoning behind the latest Obamacare delay, Reid said too many people just didn’t know to use their computer properly and needed more time. Apparently, it had nothing to do with the well-documented failings of the website that have embarrassed the White House for months.

“We have hundreds of thousands of people who tried to sign up who didn’t get through,” he said. “There are some people who are not like my grandchildren who can handle everything so easily on the Internet, and these people need a little extra time. It’s not — the example they gave us is a 63-year-old woman came into the store and said, ‘I almost got it. Every time I just about got there, it would cut me off.’ We have a lot of people just like this through no fault of the Internet, but because people are not educated on how to use the Internet.”

That’s not an internet problem. That’s a Healthcare.gov problem. The ObamaCare website was notorious for its uptime issues and bugs.

Maybe someone ought to educate Reid on that.

As a computer programmer that has been on the Internet since the mid 1980s – it was the website – not the people

What matters is what the dupes believe. Leftists are paternalistic, fatalistic a-holes. It’s always easy when necessary to blame the people they claim to be helping.

The same grandchildren that are making that horrific jewelry? Yikes.

This guy is senile. So, Generations X and Y, who have been using the internet since they were toddlers are too smart to sign up, and Baby Boomers are too stupid. That granddaughter needs to use her internet skills on how to make jewelry that appeals to the public. But then again, why? Her grandfather purchases it with campaign funds. Sorry, but that jewelry piece has made my day today.

Reid just did a little projecting there. He’s too stupid to use the internet, so he assumes others are as well.

Harry Reid is a total waste of skin. Some people make you feel the need for a shower just by looking at them or hearing their lying voices. Reid is one of those along with Terry McAuliff, Tom Dashole, Chuck Schumer, Anthony Weiner, Rahm Emanuel and so many more.
