Hillary Wants to be President, She Just Doesn’t Want to Run

Hillary Clinton Awarded The 2013 Lantos Human Rights PrizeReady for Hillary, the campaign before the campaign which has churned out some creepy t-shirts and a terrible country song, is $11 million in debt, and Hillary still isn’t ready.

While Hillary was delivering six figure speeches at heavily indebted universities, Ready for Hillary was burning through a giant pile of money trying to stir up Obama level enthusiasm for their uncharismatic candidate by selling fifty dollar champagne glasses emblazoned with a giant H, a Hillary Clinton cat collar and a Hillary Clinton Christmas tree ornament.

Ready for Hillary wasn’t ready to deliver the overpriced crap it was hawking with customers complaining that their items weren’t delivered and that no one was answering their emails. Usually politicians wait until after they get elected to start ripping people off, but Hillary is too broke to wait that long.

Despite advertising a “Hillary for the Holidays” set of Hillary champagne glasses and ornaments, her organization is already $11 million in debt. Apparently not that many people want to scare small children by hanging a Hillary Clinton ornament from their Christmas tree.

Like Ready for Hillary, Hillary isn’t ready. Instead she postponed her campaign until the spring of 2015 after having promised to decide on the first of the year. Back then Hillary was claiming that she would “have to be convinced that I have a very clear vision with an agenda of what I think needs to be done.”

Serious candidates don’t ask someone else to flatter them into believing that they have a clear vision. That’s the opposite of what a clear vision is.

Hillary Clinton spent two decades clearing her way to the White House. If you take her at her word, then she already spent a fortune running for president without ever having a “clear vision” or an agenda of what needs to be done.

Even Hillary isn’t Ready for Hillary.

Hillary Clinton doesn’t like running for things. Instead she likes having them reserved for her. In the White House she got to make policy without running for office. Giuliani’s illness spared her the bother of having to run a real Senate campaign. Hillary got the Secretary of State gig in exchange for backing Obama in ’08 and got frontrunner status for ’16 thanks to her husband’s efforts for him in ’12.

The one time that she faced a tough campaign, she lost.

Now she wants a clear path to the nomination. And then she wants an easy election. Hillary doesn’t want to campaign. She wants to get the job by just showing up the way that she gets a constant stream of awards on everything from Hispanic leadership to AIDS to the oceans by just showing up.

Hillary Clinton is great at receiving awards for doing absolutely nothing. What she isn’t any good at is making a case for why she deserves anything except an indictment.

Her book tour turned into a public relations nightmare despite a friendly press when she made one gaffe after another, claiming to have been flat broke and then trying to paste that over, culminating in poor book sales and a multi-million dollar loss for her publisher. During the midterm election, her campaign appearances helped sink Democratic candidates after she claimed that businesses don’t create jobs.

So instead Hillary Clinton has gone on padding her bank account with highly profitable and heavily controlled appearances at private events. At these appearances Team Hillary scrutinizes and controls every aspect of her appearance from the color of her armchairs to demanding that those who paid extra to be photographed with her be ready and posed so that she can just walk in and out of the photo.

It also dictates that as little as possible of her appearance will be made public. At a UCLA speech, Team Hillary only allowed a two-minute highlight clip to be made public while stipulating that it would have to be taken down before the election. That’s a privilege afforded to her by a university system run by party pal Janet Napolitano. It won’t work that way when Hillary is appearing at a county fair in Iowa.

There will be no censorship, no prestaged photos and no plates of Crudités and hummus. Hillary will have every word out there, she’ll have to smile when the camera is on her and chew corn dogs. For a wealthy and privileged politician who has gotten used to a life of luxury suites and cocktail parties, the campaign trail is a long tall slice of hell. And Hillary Clinton wants to delay it for as long as possible.

The Hillary non-campaign dissuades Democrats from running by convincing them that the nomination is already locked up in her closet along with the awards from Elton John and the Queen of Spain without tempting them into running by showing just how poorly she campaigns. Despite being ridiculously famous, Hillary Clinton is hoping to stay an enigma so no one realizes how clueless she really is.

Ready for Hillary is a third rate version of Obama’s campaign, trying to wrap her in the same aura of history and iconography without having the first clue about such basics as language, design and history. Hillary Clinton’s pre-campaign strategy is to echo what other people are saying. Whenever an issue comes up, Hillary waits until some kind of consensus forms before she offers up her clear vision.

If the consensus changes, so does her vision.

When she does say something controversial, she’s only echoing someone more controversial, as was the case when she ripped off Elizabeth Warren’s “You didn’t build that” rant to declare that businesses don’t create jobs. And then she quickly walked her statement back. That’s Hillary’s idea of a clear vision.

Hillary Clinton’s endless pre-campaign gives her the best of both worlds. Hillary can cash in with little accountability. She can engage the public and the press entirely on her terms. And her political rivals treat her as inevitable because she hasn’t actually gotten into the thick of a campaign. If she had her way, she would announce her candidacy on the day before the election.

And while she can’t do that, she can delay her campaign for as long as possible.

Hillary will be ready to run at the last minute or when another candidate emerges as a serious threat. If any Democrats still think that Hillary will be a change from the golf-and-teleprompter administration, they had better think again. Hillary Clinton may not spend her time on the golf course, but she won’t be spending it doing anything like work either. Her time as Secretary of State showed us that much.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton liked the glamorous aspects of her job, like flying around the world to meet with famous people, but had no use for the boring stuff like dealing with desperate requests for security from her own people in Benghazi. As President, Hillary will follow the Obama itinerary of photo ops with world leaders and celebrities while blowing off the rest of her job and blaming Congress.

Unlike Obama, Hillary is even blowing off her campaign. That’s a level of entitlement too far even for her privileged party.

Hillary Clinton has only two political assets. One is her name. The other is the desperate need by many working class Democrats to believe that the horrors of the Obama years could have been averted if Bill Clinton had won through her and restored the prosperity of the nineties. It’s a sad delusion when applied to a woman who spent the Obama depression partying with the rich while ignoring the poor.

Even now she is delaying her campaign as long as possible to avoid having to mingle with the victims of her party’s economic policies.

The main thrust of Clinton’s campaign (if she gets the nomination and a woman is not the Republican nominee) will be that she is a woman. It will be based on sexism – “It is time for a woman to lead.” She has no other reason to run.

The MSM will not criticize the fact that this is based on sexism just as they did not complain about people voting for Obama because of racism (skin color). This is how accepted sexism and racism are on the left and in Democratic party circles.

Individualists will say that they don’t care about the gender of the candidate or the skin color – they care about their competency and experience. Individualists don’t think like racists or sexists, they treat each person as the unique individual they are. They are anti-collectivists and anti-multiculturalists.

    • Bryan Schmick

That or the name. She will frequently hint at how good the economy was under a Clinton presidency without mentioning that it was only successful under a GOP congress or benefiting from a pre-burst dot.com bubble.

  • DaCoachK

Whenever I think of this Clinton, I am taken back to the 1992 campaign, when she said something to the effect of, “I’m not some Tammy Wynette just standing by my man.” Then she did exactly that–defended, excused and lie about that degenerate husband of hers. Like the “professional blacks,” who play the race card to show their victim status, this Clinton will play the “woman card” to highlight her victim status first, so she can demand special treatment. If the campaign gets rough, then the card will come out to remind them that opponents are tough on her only because “she is a woman.” It would be just like the nut in the White House now: criticize 44, and you are a racist. Criticize this Clinton, and you are a sexist. It is all really simple, the Left-Wing-Loon thinking.

Why is the media continuing to foist this woman off on the American public? She is just a power hungry, selfish ego hungry for the spotlight. She has nothing to recommend her for public office. And by the way, where did all the money go that was raised for the poor souls in Haiti? The media never asks.

Just curious as to what her accomplishments are. Because I can’t think of a single one.

She’s the Kim Kardashian of American politics, like, yes, she’s nice, but what does she do?

Also – The last thing this country needs is another Democrat in the White House.

Obama has crippled the US economy. Everybody I know is either out of work or under-employed. I haven’t had a raise in years despite all my expenses increasing from year to year. My health insurance is now up to $400/month. Before the government touched it, it was $250/month! My auto insurance, which the government has yet to ruin, is thankfully only $25/month (from Insurance Panda). Please, Obama! Don’t try to socialize auto insurance!

With everything Obama touched in shambles, Barry needs a new hobby… and the United States needs a non-Democrat in office!

      • TJ Andersen

Why the media foisting? They foisted Obama and still run total interference for his mistakes.

    • namberak

Personally I always thought of her stand-by-my-man schtick as being Bill hiding behind a woman’s skirts every time the going got tough. He’s a wuss who never grew up and she’s just a destroyer.

    • TJ Andersen

The ultimate hypocrisy. How many women did she intentional destroy in her “war room” in the White House.

Hillary has no competition in the Democratic Party, and she has no serious challenger in the Republican Party except Jeb Bush. Until Jeb commits and starts chipping away at her lead, she gains nothing by running. There are too many volatile and highly divisive issues in play right now that could drastically change the landscape for 2016, and the minute either Bush or Clinton commit, they will be thrust into the middle of problems which at this time remain Obama’s and his alone. The oil price collapse, joblessness, monstrous national debt, ISIS, Iran, Ferguson, NYPD, the list of huge and potentially huge problems goes on and on. Hillary and Jeb both know that they have the nomination of their parties if they want it. What’s the rush with running? Why rush into a burning house?

    • Bryan Schmick

The entry of a third Bush will motivate millions of Liberals to donate and vote. He might be a good president, but his name will guarantee Democrat votes (especially since he has a redneck-like first name that the hoity-toity people can look down on). Personally, I like a Walker candidacy but we all know that would mean massive union ads (although it might be nice to empty their coffers due to other elections).

p.s. the oil price collapse is not necessarily a bad thing. It reduces the costs of all other consumer goods. It raises the standard of living for the poor and middle class.

p.p.s. I’m not convinced about the lack of Hillary competition. The fake Native American from Massachusetts has a lot of Liberal support.

  • kafir4life

Hillary for COTUS? I don’t think so.
    What a silly bunt.

  • Hard Little Machine

No democratic candidate needs a ‘plan’ or a vision or a strategy. They need a victim identity; black, has ovaries, etc…..Hillary is trying to figure out if being a white female earns enough points. It might. But Obama hasn’t handpicked his named successor yet and that person isn’t going to be a woman. Everyone knows that. So when he does name that successor it will set up a civil war in his media and Hillary will have to be prepared. Especially, if as noted, the GOP picks a woman for the top of the ticket as well.

    • truebearing

Obama will have a hard time choosing someone that isn’t himself. If he does finally choose someone, it will be a leftist man of mixed race with ties to Islam.

  • Robbins Mitchell

What are those in the Cult of Rodham supposed to think when their own High Priestess wears an uncertain strapon?

  • Altoidian

She will not run. She will announce an illness or some sort of “I want to spend time with my new grand baby.” BS and walk away with $400,000,000.00 of non re accountable “Pre-Campaign” cash in her bank account. These stupid liberal idiots have handed cash to her with no promise at all of how it will be spent. Her publisher learned that bitter lesson. She and her hillbilly husband are the worlds greatest grifters.

  • Gary Ritzman

If the Republicans get rid of Boehner and don’t nearly kill themselves selecting their candidate there is better than 50/50 chance in 2016. Because it appears the Democrats will be stuck with one of two merit less doing nothing candidates. Warren or Clinton both of little or no accomplishments. Warren lied about her American Indian bloodline to secure minority teaching jobs. Her speeches are pure Socialist, rhetorical far Left dribble. Of course Clinton was do nothing Senator and Secretary of State who still has a lot of explaining to do.

    • Bryan Schmick

Consider the credentials (lack of) that Senator Obama brought to the table and compare those to the ivory tower Warren. The GOP messed up selecting Senator McCain (abetted by a liberal MSM) in 2008. In 2012, the GOP had a decent candidate with Romney but had to fight the MSM and incumbency. In 2016, the MSM is still there and i shudder about the affect a third Bush will have on the participation rate of the Democrat party. A Walker candidate will mean massive union ads. A Christie candidate will bring up a false bridge-gate that has already been disproved but not in MSM minds.

  • cree

She’s in the presidential startup quest, seeking out the delusional, as she is. Yeah, she dreads the thought of things not falling into her lap and actually having to run (work, prove herself worthy). Well, there are many who dread the thought much more; she has a record.

  • KlugerRD

The inevitability of Hillary is over and the only question remaining is she arrogant enough to think she will get the nomination or will she find a way to gracefully back out?

Hillary has NO accomplishments she can run on either as U.S. Senator or as Secretary of State. As SoS she was a failure and has to live with the Obama foreign policy failures. And then there is Benghazi where she failed at her own 3 AM Phone Call standard.

But more than that, as good a politician as Bill was, she is not. Every time she speaks her poll numbers go down. Her book tour was a major failure.

She just will not even get the nomination.

  • namberak

‘She wants to get the job by just showing up…’ Hey it worked for President Unicorn, no reason it shouldn’t work for her!

  • http://hansonslittlecorner.com/ John R Hanson

Isn’t she the anointed one? Of course there is the proverbial gorilla in the closet named Elizabeth Warren. Since Elizabeth can lie at same level or maybe even better than the King-In-Charge Obama she should handily win the Democratic nomination. I wonder when Elizabeth is going to pay back the government’s money she received for her education by claiming to be part American Indian? Next, I’m wondering when she’s going to charged with grand-theft-by-deception from the AG Holder’s office? Plus there are many other crimes she could be charged with like practicing law without a license. I guess the Massachusetts’ bar was too busy with fund raising to pay attention to that one. Oh well, I guess the Clinton’s weren’t as powerful as I thought.

If we’re going the Argentina route, with goofy spouse following charismatic husband into a presidency, we need to explore this possibility. Could Evita Peron sing? I realize Evita sang in the Broadway musical, but that was an actress, not the genuine article. If Hillary wants to add to her mystique, perhaps she should try to be more like the imaginary Evita. Learn the tango. Hobnob with the shirtless ones more often.

Could Isabel Peron sing? How about current Prez Cristina Kirchner?

I don’t know if Hillary’s grating speaking voice can be transformed, but stranger things have happened. She needs a better shtick than “nag and brag.”

    • Scar

I think you’ve got something there. If Hillary decides to run and does indeed secure the nomination, she might need to “break into song” to divert attention from her comical performance during a nationally televised debate. That would be one for the ages!

  • dg barrett

Hitlary? Not enough fire in the belly, not enough grey in the brain for the long run. I expect even she gets tired of hearing her own voice!

  • AgentInfidel

I can’t imagine ANY Democrat candidate eating corn dogs in Iowa anymore — they are so contemptuous of all things American. They can’t even bother to pretend anymore.

  • dwayne roberson

    She can’t do it…blood clots.

    • truebearing

She’s already having “senior moments” and we are only privy to those the screeners couldn’t hide. Put her in a debate and she is toast. Supercilious expressions and condescension will only get her so far.

She looks unsteady on her feet, which will be exposed sooner than later. A tumble on a tarmac or plowing into a podium be will all it takes for Heap Big Liar Warren to overtake her.

      • dwayne roberson

No fork tongue on you paleface!

  • truebearing

Maybe Hillary doesn’t really want to run, but wants more money. This non-campaign of hers could be the equivalent of stealling furniture from the Whitehouse.

Maybe the powers that be behind the scenes are more than happy to let Hillary cash in, draw fire from the Right, and provide a distraction while they expunge the records of their true puppet…err…candidate.

  • USARetired

Hillary is a ‘loose cannon’ with lunatic tendencies !

  • verneoz

Hillary still has to meet Trey Gowdy’s special investigating committee to answer for her actions/inactions in the Benghazi scandal. Gowdy is not a softball thrower, and follows up relentlessly to lying, and deviations from the point at hand. It will be an interesting jousting match.

  • Trojan

I don’t think Hillary will run. Be prepared for a newcomer, an unexamined wonder who will be worshiped by the media. I suggest the GOP have their woman ready soon.

  • SteveMGD

‘Apparently not that many people want to scare small children by hanging a Hillary Clinton ornament from their Christmas tree.’
They targeted the wrong holiday. They would have cleaned up around Halloween.

  • johninohio1

I believe the main interest in Hillary among Democrats is that she can either overtly or suggestively make it clear that with Hill you get another 8 years of Bill. She won’t need her own ‘vision’ or agenda–Bill will be pulling the strings from backstage.
If there is a flaw in this prognostication, it’s that Hill will unavoidably need to speak extemporaneously on occasion, as when taking questions or debating. That’s when she could easily shoot herself in the foot.

  • Randy Townsend

“Hillary Clinton is great at receiving awards for doing absolutely
nothing. What she isn’t any good at is making a case for why she
deserves anything except an indictment.” Brilliant! Hillary wants her expanding butt kissed the same way they fawned over BO – still irks her to this day that the nobody from IL “took her job”… Don’t bet against her, though – the MSM wants a gal next time and her sell-by date is getting close…. Gotta wonder how much longer her skeletons can stay hidden.
