Iran to Debut Iron Dome System in Case it Starts Shelling Itself

Good news for Iran. If it ever starts shelling itself, it will have a poorly implemented system of some kind against it. Also if it shortchanges Hamas, which then starts shelling it with its own rockets, it will also be covered.

As Adam Kredo at Free Beacon reports

Iranian military leaders announced on Wednesday that Tehran is readying new mid-range and long-range missile defense systems reminiscent of Israel’s Iron Dome system, which destroys rockets in mid-air before they strike the ground.

Esmayeeli, who did not reveal many technical details about the new equipment, said that the mid-range and long-range defense systems will be connected to Iran’s larger military apparatus.

“These missile systems will include combined systems, artillery, and radar systems, other new systems,” he was quoted as saying by Fars.” The long-range missiles to go on display on September 22 are the ones which have been optimized by Iranian weapons experts and specialists.”

Esmayeeli revealed that the construction of new drones and war planes had been fully authorized and paid for by the Iranian government, which is set to see another $2.8 billion cash infusion over the next several months as part of the deal reached last month to extend talks.

That comes courtesy of Obama.

Announcements of new Iranian weapons systems have been taken with a small amount of salt. Iran’s new stealth jet was widely mocked as fake. Then there was the fake aircraft carrier they built to blow up in a movie.

Considering how extensively the Iranian Revolutionary Guard is embedded into Iran’s economy, at least some of this activity has to do with their economic interests.

But that doesn’t mean that Iran isn’t capable of being dangerous. Even Pakistan managed to go nuclear and Iran has a better technological base than Pakistan.

Obama cuts our military’s budget so he can afford to give more money to Iran. He gives weapons to Al Qaeda to help remove an ally against terrorism from office. He continues to arm Al Qaeda in Syria, which is now helping ISIS. He refused to establish a status of forces in Iraq, which allowed ISIS to form unhindered, yet left billions of dollars worth of US military equipment laying around in Iraq that ISIS now owns. He refuses to send ammunition and weapons to the Kurds, the only ones who are capable fighters in Iraq, and who have tried to be our friends.

Now he is going to do the bare minimum to keep from being criticized for not helping the Yazidis and Christians trapped in the mouintains. if what he did today is any indicator of his commitment, it won’t work. He just can’t bring himself to defend this nation or the good people of the world. He invariably figures out a way to help evil. Is he going to start sending billions directly to ISIS next, just like he does with Iran?

You seem to be trying to persuade yourself or others that Iraq would have been okay if not for Mr. Obama. This requires you to selectively ignore a number of uncomfortable facts.

“He gives weapons to Al Qaeda to help remove an ally against terrorism from office.”

To what “ally against terrorism” do you refer? Has your hatred of Obama caused you to elevate al Assad or Qadhafi from evil dictator and state sponsor of terrorism to “ally?” Or did you have someone else in mind?

“He refused to establish a status of forces in Iraq, which allowed ISIS to form unhindered…”

A status of forces agreement was signed with Iraq in 2008, under the Bush administration, in which both the U.S. and Iraq agreed that U.S. troops would be out of Iraq by 2011. Neither side wanted ongoing U.S. troop presence or activity in Iraq past 2011, and neither side had changed its mind on that by 2011. You appear to be trying to claim that ISIS was able to form because of the absence of U.S. military activity in support of the Maliki government over the past few years. While that ignores a decade’s worth of developments, let’s run with that – the policy in question – the absence of U.S. military activity in support of the Maliki government – was a Bush policy that the U.S. government legally committed itself to before Obama took office. You appear to be arguing that ISIS developed because Obama did not decide that Bush was an idiot and reverse all of his Iraq policies, renege on the commitment to pull out of Iraq, and probably start a war with the Iraqi government – because that it what it would have taken to maintain a troop presence into 2012.

“He refuses to send ammunition and weapons to the Kurds…”

You’re wrong on the facts, but arming the Kurds is not a step to be taken lightly. It means materially supporting a group that militarily confronts one nominal and one genuine ally – the Iraqi government, which we might not care much about in the long run, and the Turks, a NATO ally with whom we have a half century firm commitment to defend, not destabilize.

“Now he is going to do the bare minimum to keep from being criticized for not helping the Yazidis and Christians trapped in the mouintains. if what he did today is any indicator of his commitment, it won’t work.”

Translation: ‘Now he’s doing what I think he should do, but I can’t bring myself to approve, because whatever the administration does is wrong by definition.‘ Note that in describing actions Mr. Obama is taking to defend the “good people of the world,” TB complains that Mr. Obama can’ bring himself to defend the good people of the world.

Once again the avoidance of really thinking about Islam.
The Sunni-Shia divide occurred with the very inception of Islam. It is built into this religion because this religion is based on secular power and control. The very things Christ rejected. Islamic dysfunction cannot be separated from Islam. There is no “radical” ellement ruining Islam. There is only the immediate “radical element” that is on the top of the heap. The only thing that had a chance to succeed was for the Shia and Sunni tribes to have their own private Saddams. Since power and terror is built into Islam your best hope is to have strongmen cancelling each other out in the least destructive ways possible. Camels and bolt action rifles work fine. To stop a militant Iraq capable of reaching the outside world, Iraq in 2003 should have been divided formally in the way it is divided in reality. Shia. Sunni. Kurds.. 37,000 car bombs have spelled out these lines for us over the last 10 years. . But no one in Washington could see even this brutal fact. Because we here in the “free” West have our own insane tyrannical power structure called Liberalism that perpetuates its own chaos in order to remain in power.

The missiles in the photo are US Army Hawk anti aircraft missiles that we gave to the Shah. That makes them 35 years old at latest.. Here is photo of Hawk missiles in their heyday..protecting Key West during the Cuban Missile Crisis. That makes them 52 years old.Unless Jimmy Carter or Kerry has given the Mullahs an upgrade they may not even work. But dont count on that. What you may notice is that given the unchangeable presence of unchangeable Islam any weapon, money, aid, friendship, or ceasefire WILL be used against you, sooner or later
