ISIS Supporters Attack Reporters w/Bricks… at the Hague

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is a New York writer focusing on radical Islam. He is completing a book on the international challenges America faces in the 21st century.

The new Islamic Sharia No-Go Zone is not all that far from the headquarters of half the organizations of international law in the world.

Here’s reporter Frank Verhoef on this exciting new development.

Schilderswijk in The Hague has become a no-go area for journalists.

The counter-demonstrators were loosely positioned by the police and a small group of journalists, including myself, in exactly the same place as in the pro-ISIS demo.

Several journalists were attacked: Telegraph reporter Alexander Bakker and his cameraman had to run for their lives , the camera of a journalist Novum was destroyed and all the journalists present had to watch out for countless flying bricks…

The bricks were thrown at the riot police who wanted to clear the streets, and also at the journalists who were just behind the riot police. With a brick can someone cause permanent injury and even death.

By the end of the demonstration, I fell into conversation with one of the (later arrested by the police) speakers of the pro-ISIS demo of July 24 … We had an animated discussion about the demonstrators and counter-demonstrators. I was given to understand in no uncertain uncertain terms that I should remain “neutral” as a journalist “otherwise you will incur harm, for example, if I find you somewhere.”

One thing has become very clear to me today: Schilderswijk is a no-go area become journalists. Journalists are hampered by fundamentalist democracy-hating Muslims in the exercise of their profession.

Journalists are intimidated, their equipment is destroyed and they are pelted with bricks as they do their work. When I say that reporting in the Schilderswijk traits starts getting to be like reporting in a war zone, then I’m exaggerating a bit, but it’s beginning to look like it.

The front line is everywhere.

What does Geert Wilders have to say?

    • DogmaelJones1

Just the sight of Geert Wilders would cause these manqués (or should we call them macaque monkeys?) to foam at the mouth. They’d want to tear him to shreds, because he’s a reproach to their miserable, hateful lives.

  • Yehuda Levi

Either the West will fight for their values, or they will submit.

Europe is not known to be a fighter.

    • Raymond_in_DC

Europe has openly adopted a policy of “outreach” and accommodation of the Arab agenda since the 1973 oil boycott. Mass immigration of Muslims was only the most obvious consequence. I see no reason to expect them to fight when they’ve been submitting for 40 years.

      • Phil D

Mass immigration started in the sixties under the motto “What harm can it do” and “We Need Cheap Workers” (Incidentally, in my country the industries who used those workers are almost all bankrupt by now). In the seventies the frontiers were opened for “Family reunion”, still under the same motto.
The politicians were blind (and willfully blind) but so was the population. It was a time of “renewal” after all, who needed that old civilization. And of course it was the time that the left started its “March through the Institutions”.
If you think that the USA was different you’re wrong. The only thing different was the geographical situation. The USA with its counter culture and drug culture, not to speak abortion culture was a big contributor to the moral degeneracy.

    • Alisia S

Sadly, it wouldn’t be just the Islamians the average European would be fighting against. They would also have to fight the media, police, Leftist organizations, the EU Corporatists, and the government enablers that brought it all about. I’m afraid only a massive revolt by native Europeans will change anything.

    • Phil D

Alas, the world wars say different.
      But today you’re probably right.

    • Drakken

Sorry Levi, but, those Europeans that you loathe one way or another are going to come around and the muslims really have no idea what they are about to unleash upon themselves, those muslims in Europe are about to become a very endangered species. The idiots rioting today, will be running for their lives tomorrow. The Balkanization is almost complete.

    • Hammerlein

      WW2?

  • Gee

That is not what journalists state when Israel confronts rock throwing Arabs. They will call those people ‘innocent children’.

I hope that Dutch get what they so richly deserve from their Muslim masters

    • Arf

My sentiments exactly. It couldn’t happen to a more deserving group of people. Let it spread to Sweden, Norway, Belgium, etc.

    • Drakken

The Dutch in the smaller cities and towns are doing something about, you just don’t hear about it. Remember friend, if Europe falls to the muslims, the rest of the west is doomed as well and that means you in Israel. If you think you can turn to the Orient and they be your friends, you could not be more wrong

  • gerry

    Karma in action,I love it.Priceless!

  • crisco

Most of Europe is now reaping the results of their decades long immigration stupidity. Now the simpering liberal cretins of America are doing their best to validate the thuggery of the unintegrated muslim masses in our own cities and even our bodies politic.

ISIS is jealous; they don’t get the good press that Hamas’ gets. The Islamic State forgot to establish its Pallywood.

  • mollysdad

Looking at the crowd, I’d say two MG-42 machine gun teams ought to be sufficient. One to mow them down, the other to give fire cover during the seven seconds it takes to change the barrel.

  • SCREW SOCIALISM

weaponized drones to solve the problem.

  • James Foard

A very rude awakening for these liberal media stooges. They can lie about Israel/Hamas, but now when it’s at their own back door they have a new perspective on “the peaceful religion”.

  • b l

The title says Brussels. Brussels in in Belgium! The article says the Hague. Netherlands. They should get the story straight, no? I mean, if you can’t make it clear what nation this is happening in, then the story needs a little work before you publish it.

    • Keith

Why should a reporter get the location correct, they haven’t managed to report on Islamic violence correctly since the state of Israel was created in 1948. So why should they change the habit of a lifetime?

    • tom_billesley

Europhile journalists regard the nation states as historical rather than geographical, the residual artefacts of deplorable sentiment,

    • mark henselt

It’s easily understandable. He was reporting about Muslim hatred. Since Brussels seems to be the European center for this kind of thing, the mistake was perfectly natural.

  • Steve

It’s time to open fire on these throwbacks

  • Texas Patriot

Welcome to the new realpolitik. Multiculturalism at its finest.

    • Alisia S

The wonders of blissfull diversity. Which, of course, is our strength.

    • Drakken

There ain’t no unity with diversity or multiculturalism, it is a one way ticket to Balkanization and massive bloodshed, and it is coming.

  • Alisia S

So the streets of our major cities in Europe now belong to Islam. Pathetic.

    • Drakken

The muslims made it nice and convenient to live in ghettos, it will be easy to surround and destroy them once the time comes. The muslims don’t realize what is coming.

  • conan_drum

Please remember this is the religion of peace, keep repeating that and don’t forget these are not ‘real’ Muslims. As ‘real’ Muslims often stone people to death
these people should be arrested for attempted murder

  • cxt

    “The front line is everywhere.”

    Chilling and wholly accurate.

  • Bob

The Hague is in Holland, and Brussels is in Belgium. Rest of the article is spot-on.

  • wjr123

The West needs to get its’ act together and deport these ROPers. Send them back to the garden spots they came from and get them off the dole. The culture that is Islam is not compatible with and does not play well with secularist societies. Face it and fix it or go under the demographic tidal wave and become a slave.

    • Drakken

The time to deport these muslim savages has come and gone, they will have to be dealt with the good ole fashioned way.

      • Texas Patriot

There’s always a kinder and gentler way of doing things, Drak. Most of the young Muslims now in Europe would probably be a lot happier living in the Islamic State. Why not help them do it with a free plane ticket to Mosul in exchange for their passport?

        • wjr123

You can count on Texas for common sense. Shoot, I would even donate for the plane ride but I want to watch the passports burn.

          • Texas Patriot

Great idea for a business model. Call it Jihad Air and provide free one-way plane rides to Mosul for anyone in Western Europe, America or Australia, funded by tax free “charitable contributions” from Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Who wouldn’t be for that?

        • Drakken

Because that time has come and passed, there will be no nicer gentler way of dealing with these inbred bloody savages, one way or another this ends with a Balkans on steroids that will make a Serb blush with envy.

          • Texas Patriot

Drak, you’re just going to have to curb your bloodthirsty tendencies. There’s a much better way of solving the problem of cultural discontinuity. If young Muslims want to live in the Islamic State, we should help them do it. All they have to do is give up their passport, which they would probably be glad to do anyway.

          • Drakken

It is not a question of me being blood thirsty or not, it is a fact that there are too many to deport and will break a nations bank and they won’t go without a fight. In case you haven’t been to Europe as of late, I would highly suggest you take a trip this fall and see for yourself the hate and resentment from the average European towards their muslim invaders, one way or another as events play out, things will get much worse. It is only a matter of time before a muslim commits a vicious atrocity in a European city and the backlash will begin.

          • Texas Patriot

I think you’re underestimating the lure of a life of jihad for young Muslims. Have you seen the ISIS recruiting videos? Those guys look like they’re having the time of their lives. Offer a free plane ride to Mosul in exchange for their passport, and I think it would catch on like wildfire. Suck it up, Drak. It’s time to start thinking out of the box.

          • mark henselt

And send them home on Malaysian Airlines.

          • pdxnag

Such sad truth is just sad. I’d like to think that IS offers the hope of a place that is willing to accept many shiploads of expelled Muslims. But then, they too might close their door so as to leave no non-bloody option. Their army is already in place, in the West.

  • mark

Where-ever satan has his muslims… evil will flourish

  • knowshistory

it would be funny if it were not so serious. “journalists” attacked by the invaders they have lied for, covered up for, apologized for, made excuses for, prostrated them selves to, prostituted themselves for, and in general made complete fools of themselves for. it would be funny, except those monsters want to kill everyone else too, not just the criminal journalists, politicians, “leaders”, and other scum who due to their treasonous actions deserve to be attacked. unfortunately, innocent peoples’ lives and freedom are at stake too, not just the insane western aiders and abettors of the Islamic invasion.

    • Drakken

My Grandfather back in the 70′s, while walking the streets of Vienna, told me that in my lifetime that we would be fighting the muslims again, I didn’t believe him then, but I truly believe him now.

      • knowshistory

so far, your grandfather is wrong. we are not fighting muslims. we are surrendering.

  • wileyvet

Two thousand years of cultural and intellectual progress is being turned back in just a few short decades by the importation of seventh century barbarians. How many more examples does one need to see Islam for what it is? How many more excuses will our leaders and media shills give the rampaging Muslims? If these people have such difficulty adjusting, then why in God’s name would you bring millions of them to your country? We don’t owe Muslims F all. Except a kick in the nuts, and a one way ticket back to the Crapistan of their choice. Call it collective punishment I don’t care. Give every Muslim 6 months to get their affairs in order, and out they go. They have proven beyond any doubt that they are unfit to live in and along side civilized nations and people. Their wretched Islam will never allow them to see their neighbours as anything but enemies of Allah, and must be resented and derogated at the least. At worst, they will be violent Jihadists killing the citizens of their host country in the name of Allah. It is their belief and right to do so according to Islamic teaching. Anything, anything at all that Muslims consider an affront to or an inhibition of Islam is grounds for Jihad. If they don’t like a law or some ordinance, they will agitate, or stew in their hate, making them more subversive to the country they are in. Every European nation among others is being held hostage by the threat of Muslim rage and violence. Countries can no longer enact legislation for the good of their own country, culture or citizenry for fear of Muslim rage. That should be the big eye opener to the incompatibility of Islam with western ideals. Alas, this is not the case. The media and intellectual and political elite still have their heads up each others arses, and can’t or won’t see it. It will, as Drakken points out come to serious confrontation from the people of Europe themselves. Once again Europe leads its people to a bloody conflict that could easily have been prevented if anyone had the slightest ounce of foresight.

    • mark henselt

Just one addition to you plan: Allow them to leave only with the clothes on their backs. When their relatives pushed out the jews and, more recently, the Christians, in their country, that;s all they were allowed to take.
I’m sure their “brothers” back home will gladly help them out once they’re returned home.

  • NoPasaran

We need to arm the counter-insurgents.

  • Goldcoaster

This is great news. Now the liberal namby pambies will either wake up, or get voted out.

  • tom_billesley

The police need training – in Israel.
