Israel’s War with the Muslim Brotherhood

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is a New York writer focusing on radical Islam. He is completing a book on the international challenges America faces in the 21st century.

israel-gaza-crisis-ground-invasionDespite the cries of furious hipsters waving cardboard signs stained with fake blood, there is no ethnic cleansing going on in Gaza. No more than there was when the US began bombing the Taliban.

The last act of ethnic cleansing took place in the summer of 2005 when the Israeli government gave in to international pressure by forcibly evicting all the Jews from the Gaza Strip. Even the graves were dug up.

The media, which had been up in arms when Israel had evicted 400 Hamas terrorists, had nothing but applause for the forced ethnic cleansing of thousands of Jewish families. The synagogues they left behind were also torched to the applause of the same media now filling the airwaves with fake outrage.

CNN described one synagogue as “very controversial because it is the Jewish synagogue.” The Los Angeles Times wrote of Muslims venting “their fury over the occupation by laying waste to the synagogues.” “Youths set fire to synagogues and other symbols of the hated occupation,” the London Times scribbled. The Age tried for the poetic with “Burning synagogue lights Gaza dawn”.

The Nazi Minister of Propaganda had written under similar circumstances, “I wish to return to my hotel and see a glow as red as blood. The synagogue is burning.” The mainstream media had erased any distinction between themselves and the Kristallnacht propaganda of Joseph Goebbels

The ethnic cleansing of Jews from Gaza made the Hamas takeover possible. The current conflict is rooted in that tragic act of appeasement.

And it wasn’t only the Jews who suffered.

Under Muslim Brotherhood rule, the Christian population of Gaza was cut in half. The Baptists nearly disappeared after a Christian bookstore was bombed twice and its manager was clubbed and shot.

What happened to the Christians of Gaza was the same thing that had been happening to Christians across the Middle East under Islamic rule. While the media is focusing on Gaza, ISIS has just finished ethnically cleansing the Christians of Mosul by demanding that the non-Muslim residents of this Iraqi city convert to Islam, pay Jizya or die.

ISIS is a cousin of Hamas. Both organizations are outgrowths of the Muslim Brotherhood. Its current leader came out of the Muslim Brotherhood and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the man originally behind Al Qaeda in Iraq, was released from a Jordanian prison to win favor with the local Muslim Brotherhood.

When Zarqawi was finally killed, Hamas issued a statement mourning him as “a martyr of the nation.” Protesters in Gaza demanded revenge for his death. The Islamic Action Front, the Brotherhood’s political arm in Jordan, openly expressed its admiration for the mass murderer.

ISIS, Hamas and the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood have all driven out Christians in areas under the control of their Jihadists. Hamas’ attacks on Israel are motivated by that same xenophobic impulse.

Hamas is doing to Gaza what ISIS is doing to Mosul, slowly transforming it into a terrorist slum at war with the rest of the world, until it becomes a Qaeda, a base, the Muslim equivalent of a Liberation Theology base community.

Christians, Jews and other minorities cannot survive this process. Their only choices are to flee or fight.

When Israel pulls back after this latest round of fighting, Gaza will be as Muslim as ever. But under Hamas rule, it will not be very long until it is as empty of Christians as it already is of Jews.

And that is real ethnic cleansing.

Genocide isn’t the empty theater played out by Hamas and its media and social media allies. It isn’t terrorist groups launching rockets using human shields and then palming off scenes from Final Destination 4 as Israeli atrocities.

It’s the eradication of an entire minority population. It’s what happens when synagogues and churches vanish and are replaced by mosques.

The ultimate goal of Hamas is envisioned in Article Seven of its charter which looks forward to the genocide of the Jews when “The Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: ‘O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him!’”

Or as the Secretary General of the Muslim Brotherhood had already proclaimed long ago, “The Zionist question is but a Jewish question with all that the word entails.”

Unlike Israel’s surgical strikes at Hamas assets, this is genocide and it is the regional endgame of the Arab Muslim conquerors and colonists.

Hamas is not a persecuted minority lashing out as its oppressors. It is one outpost of a supremacist Sunni Muslim majoritarian organization that is terrorizing minorities across the region. Its mission is to continue the thousand year project of Islamic colonialism to destroy indigenous cultures and religions.

The Jews of Jerusalem, like the Christians of Mosul, happen to be in the way. Hamas’s charter makes its genocidal mission clear. But every Islamist group whose mission is to impose the absolute rule of Islam is equally committed to the ethnic cleansing of non-Muslim and even Muslim populations.

The real genocide in Gaza and throughout the Middle East is being committed by Muslims against non-Muslims with the complicity of Western media and governments. There were no UN resolutions when Jews were ethnically cleansed from Kfar Darom in Gaza and parts of Jerusalem in 1948 by Muslims.

The Muslim Brotherhood’s battalion attacked the village of Kfar Darom and forty-five Israeli militia members protected 400 men, women and children. The Brotherhood’s attacks were beaten back with determined resistance until its Jihadists were forced to retreat leaving behind seventy of their dead.

After the village came under attack from Egyptian armor and air power, it had to be abandoned for decades until Israel liberated the territory on which it had stood. Then the diplomats and reporters  who hadn’t cared about the tiny village before, suddenly declared that Kfar Darom was a settlement and the Jews who lived there were occupiers for resettling the land that Muslims had conquered in 1948.

When Kfar Darom was ethnically cleansed again in 2005, the media and the diplomats cheered. Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar entered the Kfar Darom synagogue and laid claim to it in the name of Islam.

There were no resolutions or boycotts when the Jews were forced out of East Jerusalem in 1948 and the Jewish Quarter was blown up by a Muslim commander who said, “For the first time in 1,000 years not a single Jew remains in the Jewish Quarter.” But when Israel liberated and reunited Jerusalem in 1967, the Jews moving into their own city and one of the oldest cities in the world were denounced as “settlers.”

The international principle that has been adopted universally is that when Muslims conquer a place, it belongs to them permanently, even if they only conquered it a few decades ago. Muslims always have superior rights to Christians, Jews or any other non-Muslim group in their own countries or any country.

This principle acknowledges that that the ethnic cleansing carried out by ISIS or Hamas is legitimate. It enshrines Muslim privilege up to and including the point of genocide. While the media wails over Gaza, Muslim campaigns of ethnic cleansing continue in Syria, Nigeria and Iraq and a dozen other places.

Israel has become a flashpoint in the region because it is the only place where an armed non-Muslim minority has been able to make a stand against Muslim genocide.  Israel has been fighting the forces of the Muslim Brotherhood in Gaza since right after the Holocaust. Its soldiers are fighting so that the same forces that have been ethnically cleansing the Christians and Jews of the Middle East do not reach Israel.

Not to mention that they are always blaming others for their plight and never looking at themselves as any cause whatsoever for the horrible situations they have helped create for themselves.

  • mollysdad

Now that we’re all agreed that it’s genocide, we’re in a Jewish-Christian moral universe in which a biblical war of herem (milkhemet amalek) is up for discussion.

Although there has, as yet, been no cleansing of Gaza from the exterminationist enemies of the Jews and the Christians, it must come sooner or later. Anyone waging religious war against Jews or Christians, anyone giving aid and comfort to the enemy, and anyone incriminated in the genocide of Jews or Christians, is devoted to God and must be put to death (Exodus 17; Deuteronomy 25; 1 Samuel 15).

    • Damaris Tighe

You’re as bad as Islamists. What you are advocating is jihad under another name.

      • SCREW SOCIALISM

Islamists are at War with EVERYBODY.

Bahais, Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Jews, Zoroastrians and the wrong kind of Muslim are under assault by Islamists.

      • Drakken

It is a very simple equation that deep down inside you, you know to be true. Islam is on the march and smell our weakness, in Europe that is about to come to a full head of steam, if you thought the Serbs were ruthless and mean, you haven’t seen anything yet for you folks in Britain are soon going to have your own Balkans on steroids that will make a Serb blush with envy.

  • modirection

It is time to give them a taste of their own medicine. Wash their mouths out with soap, etc. Strategically, of course.

  • Texas Patriot

Basically, the world has gone crazy, and there is no end in sight. It will take a sharp eye, a cool head, and a steady hand to navigate the stormy waters we are seeing today and are likely to be seeing for the foreseeable future. Hang in there, and up the great work, Daniel. There are very few in the world today who grasp the geopolitical situation as deeply and completely as you.

    • Daniel Greenfield

      that’s what counts

    • Damaris Tighe

The moral inversion is amazing. Here in Britain we have otherwise sensible & reasonable people who actually believe that the Hamas rockets are ‘just fireworks’ & that Israelis should be nonchalant about them. These are people with families who have no empathy for Israelis but would be screaming for government action if their own families were in the same position.

      • SCREW SOCIALISM

The innocent people using London transport on 7/7/05 were killed by “fireworks”.

The British LEFT are SOCIALIST FASCISTS. It would be good if the BBC and the mainstream British Press would expose and humiliate the FAKE “anti-war” movement in the UK, but I’m expecting too much from the quislings in the British Press.

      • kasandra

Yeah, like the V-2s were just fireworks. I take it these otherwise sensible and reasonable people have, like all too many people on this side of the pond, been propagandized into these views by a corrupt, biased, left wing media that has made Palestinians certified victims and, therefore, incapable of doing wrong.

    • Jeff Ludwig

Amen to all that you write.

  • Hank Rearden

Say it loud and say it proud…Israel has become a flashpoint in the region because it is the only place where an armed non-Muslim minority has been able to make a stand against Muslim genocide.

    • Americana

The Israelis are not a flashpoint because they’re making a stand against Muslim genocide which has only recently become a phenomenon in the region. The fact is Israel has ALWAYS been a flashpoint for Arab anger over the dispossession of Palestinian Arabs because of Israel’s land grant for statehood that established Israel against the wishes of the indigenous Palestinians. The fact that Israel is now facing the additional stress of also being one of those nations in the region that stands against ISIS and ISIL plans to form a regional Caliphate is somewhat separate from its status as being a Jewish state under siege by the Palestinians. It’s almost as if Israel is facing 2 distinct enemies.

Jews precede Islam by more than 1,000 years.

Christianity precedes Islam by 600 years.

The indigenous Jews, the owners of the Land of Israel have regained their property from the Muslim thief.

ISIS and ISIL prove that Israel isn’t the problem.

Islam is the problem – as can be seen by the death and destruction wrought by Arabs/Muslims in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Egypt, Lebanon.

        • Joe Roberts

It was the Romans that kicked you out, go and read a book! Or go and invade Italy if you want revenge on your historical enemies. G-d have mercy on you right wing zealots!

          • SCREW SOCIALISM

Jews never left the Land of Israel.

BTW, “Joe Roberts”, if you really, truly, honestly against brutal occupation, then pack your bags and leave North America, ending your hypocritical occupation of Native American land.

Where will you go – and not be a burden on the indigenous population?

          • Drakken

May the Devil welcome you with open arms and a smile, with our compliments, Quisling.

          • Daniel Greenfield

            The Romans used Arab mercs.

History books, you should read them.

          • Americana

History books, let’s read them and then let’s not ABUSE THEM by trying to extract false historical narratives from historical events.

The fact the ROMANS used mercenaries to conquer the last Jewish holdout nation in the region doesn’t change the fact the ROMANS WERE THE CONQUERORS of the Jews. You’re trying to pretend that the mercenaries the Romans used to conquer the Jews were A NATIONAL FORCE and that gives Israel the grounds to pretend that the Arabs “stole Israel away from the Jews.” Well, we both know that’s not true. The ROMANS were the ones that conquered the last Jewish nation in the region and slaughtered the Jews at Masada and so on… Let’s not blame the Arabs of today for what was done in the name of Rome.

            http://www.mercenary-wars.net/israel/

            From the above link:

During 63BC when the Romans first conquered Israel most historians agree that they used mercenary soldiers to boost up their numbers. Because of the vast area and number of countries the Romans ruled over they needed more manpower than what was available back in Rome. Therefore they needed to boost up their numbers as a means of continuing their domination. During their conquering of foreign countries the defeated armies were sometimes given a chance to join the Roman Army, instead of being killed. One would think it was an easy decision to make without any hesitation. In many cases they were even used to police their own defeated countries.

      • mozart

You again MORON. You are an IDIOT anti-Semite, proven as such by numerous brilliant minds. The Hebrews/Israelites/Jews/Israelis ARE the indigenous. Not your fakestinians!

        • Americana

mozart, still playing the same old tune! Your brilliant mind fails you when you claim indigeneity for the Jews. I’m not worried about any of the “brilliant minds” w/which I’m confronted on FPM. Rudeness and irrationality won’t help solve this terrible situation.

          • Drakken

Rudeness and irrationality never does resolve the situation, but warfare always does. Without total victory there cannot be peace.

          • kevinstroup

Totally agree. Discussion and navel gazing did not end WW2. Piles of dead Nazis and Imperial Japanese soldiers did.

          • Americana

Again, you’ve never stated just how you believe the Israelis can win the day in Palestine through warfare and then retain it against all Arab comers… Peace is a very fluid state, let’s not forget that. It’s clear you’ll always advocate genocide whether it’s the most logical option or not.

          • Drakken

War is natural to the human condition and has been since the dawn of time and will be for a good millennia or two. You call it genocide, I call it what it is, warfare. Without Total Victory, there cannot be peace, never has, never was and never will be, no matter how much you think you can get away from it.

          • Nabukuduriuzhur

            re: Americana

The Lord rebuke you in Jesus’ Name for being a liar. Enough is enough.

          • Americana

Why the “Lord” would EVER rebuke me in Jesus’ name for talking straight history as if that’s the equivalent of being a LIAR (about WHAT, pray tell?) is something only a Zionist would dream up as the ultimate curse.

          • Drakken

Silly misguided little girl, you ignore history at your own peril because it goes against your peace at any price narrative.

      • Daniel Greenfield

Jews have been a ‘flashpoint’ dating back to the time of Mohammed.

Any resistance to Islam historically leads to a flashpoint.

Israel is resisting Islamic colonialism as Jews have for over a thousand years.

        • Judahlevi

The “flashpoint” has two causes (necessary to create such friction). One, is the resistance of Jews against the Muslim desire to eradicate them. Self defense is natural and justifiable.

Two, is the intolerance of Islam for any other religion or worldview.

The true cause of the problem is not the Jews, but Islam’s intolerance and hate for any other worldview. Remove this impediment to understanding, and the Middle East becomes a completely different place.

          • Daniel Greenfield

Yes, which can be seen clearly in the fact that Muslim violence is not unique in targeting Jews, but targets members of all religions, including Muslims.

          • truebearing

But try to pound that nail of truth into the hot air ballon resting on Americana’s shoulders. All you’ll succeed at doing is creating two more holes where hot air escapes.

          • Americana

I’m sure others will supply “hot air” if I don’t. I willingly digest rational points of view about HOW and WHY events are unfolding between the Israelis and the Palestinians but when the facts don’t match the situation, I’m not likely to agree w/a simplistic presentation.

          • truebearing

You don’t digest anything. You swallow it whole and then try to regurgitate it for the rest of your repetitive life.

          • ObamaYoMoma

Muslim violence only targets Muslims after those Muslims have been deemed un-Islamic, i.e., blasphemers, apostates, or heretics. Indeed, it’s Islam’s internal policing mechanism.

          • Americana

Since there are a few “built-in” instances that produce internecine Muslim violence, what you’ve written doesn’t really make sense in terms of how the Muslim sects relate to one another.

          • ObamaYoMoma

By the way, I wasn’t talking about the Shi’as and the Sunnis who differ on the rightful succession to Muhammad, but not on the texts and tenets of the Koran since they are immutable. You’re a moron, nonetheless.

Why do you also always sign in as a guest when in the Americana nom de guerre. Not to mention that I’ve also seen you sign in with a different nom de guerre, post, then that alternate nom de guerre all of a sudden later on morphs back into your Americana nom de guerre. A pretty good trick. How are you doing that?

          • Joe Roberts

He’s a moron? Because he calmly and intelligently pointed out that “MUZLIMMM” is not one amorphous block. What about the Zionists that aided the Nazis? What about the Jews Israel locks up and persecutes because they too as the rest of the world recognise the evil that is perpetrated by the State of Israel.

          • ObamaYoMoma

You’re just as sick and stupid as Americana moonbat. It must suck to be as susceptible to awful propaganda as you are. Tell us…are you as open in public with respect to your mental disease as you are on the Internet?

          • Steve

I know you are, but what am I? You righties are certifiable.

          • Drakken

And your still a low IQ kaffir hating whitey, how quaint and original.

          • Joe Roberts

You mean recognizing the ongoing atrocities of course, is that classed as a mental illness now?

          • aspacia

Why has the Muslim population increased under Israel. Could it be better food and medicine? Go for a time-out and read some valid history. Oh, yes I am a historian.

          • Joe Roberts

Being on this forum does start to make me feel sick… especially for my relatives that died in the holocaust so that people like you could steal and sabotage their cause! Talk about projection, is there a tiny glimmer of doubt inside that you might be the one swallowing vast amounts of one-sided propaganda? Are you even Jewish?

          • Bklyn Farmer

            Are you Jewish?

          • Drakken

Nice little kapo jew you are, so being a bed wetter do gooder that you are, why don’t you had on over and join your poor oppressed little pali savages then?

          • Bklyn Farmer

More like accurate, it’s like identify you as a troll nothing personal just stating the obvious.

          • ObamaYoMoma

Actually moonbat, I was trying not to roll in the mud with bigoted morons like you mentally handicapped loons. You see unlike you and your anti-Semitic Jew hating fellow travelers I know that Muslims don’t view Jewish infidels any differently than they view all other infidels throughout the world including you and me and your fellow bigoted buddies. As the Islamic totalitarian world is not only waging a permanent and perpetual jihad both violently and non-violently against the tiny infidel state of Israel, but also against all infidels and infidel states throughout the world to ultimately make Islam and Islamic totalitarian society supreme throughout the world.

Thus, unlike you hate propaganda guzzling morons, I know that the jihad Israel is defending itself against happens to be the very same jihad the Islamic totalitarian world is also waging against all of us infidels around the world. So please excuse me if I’m not stupid enough to shoot myself in my own foot just like you mentally incompetents morons are. Indeed, not only are you bigots severely mentally deficient leftwing moonbats, but at the same time you are all extremely gullible useful idiots as well. Sucks to be as dumb as you guys.

          • JJF

As I said, nothing but moronic ad hominems- more proof is not needed. Your assumptions are completely false- IF you were able to leave your lunatic ravings for a moment you might realise I hate Islam and support Israel- but your foaming-at-the-mouth drivel precludes that, doesn’t it?

What you CLAIM is my posting behavior has NOTHING to do w/my posting behavior. I ALWAYS sign myself ‘Americana’ on ALL my posts, and I always take the good w/the bad that goes along w/my political choices attached to my BB handle. That goes for my choices for the national and world political situations as well as for the Middle East. You find some other klutzy foolish way to denigrate my posts instead of opting for this crazy woman’s conspiracy theory. I’m loud and proud and I don’t hide behind different BB handles or faking anyone out by pretending to be a ‘Guest’ or any of the other things of which some of you accuse me. Israelis kill their own, not to mention foreign journalists that dare to show the ugly face of modern ultra-right wing fascist zionism to the world. Hey MORON, I bet you do not know the actual meaning of the word ZION/Zionism. In Hebrew in means, homeland (as “patria” in Latin) and/or Jerusalem. Your stupid arguments show your deep ignorance of historical FACTS. Americans- America, French-France. Israelis-Israel. The Hebrews/Israelites/Jews/Israelis ARE the native, indigenous people of ZION. The only tribes that would have a prior claim to the land would be the Canaanites but they have melted away a long time ago. The current Arabs, masquerading as “Palestinian Arabs” are a very recent historical/demographic fact.

        • Americana

Two things. Muslims should get over themselves but their insularity and self-protective tactics are a separate and distinct issue from what has happened and is happening in Israel and Palestine between the two nations. Jews aren’t resisting Islamic colonization, rather, Jews are attempting to colonize Muslim areas which leads to friction. The Jews may feel they’re not doing anything wrong in buying property outside Israeli borderlines, but they are increasing the reasons for friction and they’re increasing the complexity of any eventual peace settlement over land issues. You can pretend that those things are not issues but they plainly are.

          • Texas Patriot

All of the lands presently and formerly controlled by Muslims (including Spain and Israel) were acquired by military conquest in a manner very much like we are seeing today under the leadership of Khalifa Ibrahim of the Islamic State. The question is, should the Israelis be allowed to reclaim some of that conquered land as a homeland for the Jewish people.

          • Joe Roberts

Whereas the lands the Christians now occupy were acquired with cotton candy and marshmallows? What a well educated individual, you do Texas proud, cowboy!

          • ebonystone

Well, there was no Christian army conquering: Egypt, North Africa, Morocco, Spain, Greece, Britain, Germany, Serbia, Turkey, Russia, etc, etc. These all became Christian through missionary efforts.
But there were Moslem armies conquering: Egypt, North Africa, Morocco, Spain, Turkey, Greece, Serbia, etc, etc.
Later, there were Christian armies RE-conquering: Spain, Greece, Serbia.

But the present-day Arab populations were NOT the populations that originally conquered the Jewish tribes and took their land thousands of years ago. So, the question really should be, should present-day Palestinian Arabs be chosen to be the fall guy for the sake of the Zionist theory about God having promised the Jews that they’d be made whole again in their old historical digs? That simply doesn’t fly w/me AT ALL.

I have no issue w/the recreation of Israel. I do have a problem w/the Israeli reclamation of ALL of Palestine. This is especially true if this plan is being presented as God’s wish for his “chosen people” and that it’s best for the peace of the region. The Western world will be paying for that little farce for the next few hundred years if we enable that. Why is this plan so bizarre? Because every people has called themselves God’s chosen people. That’s part and parcel of the singularity of the human condition. If we’re going to sneer at the Arabs for their religious blindness on that same score, there’s no reason the Jews should be excluded from recognizing the very same thing.

          • Texas Patriot

I guess what your saying is that the history of the land disputes in the region doesn’t matter to you. As you wish. We all have to make up our own minds regarding what factors are relevant to the justice of the situation. My take is that history matters a great deal to all the people in the region for reasons that are apparently incomprehensible or meaningless to you. So be it.

But even if the entire history of the region and Biblical and Koranic prophecy are not your cup of tea, perhaps you will find recent history more instructive. In that regard, perhaps you may wish to examine the events of the 20th Century more carefully, particularly the creation of the State of Israel in 1948 with the mandate and approval of the United Nations, as well as the 1967 War in which Israel was simultaneously attacked by all of her neighbors and acquired additional lands by right of defensive conquest.

Closing your eyes to the past and pretending that the problems in the region only started yesterday and that the only important consideration is restoring the situation to the status quo that existed just prior to the most recent altercation may be fine for keeping the peace among kindergarteners, but it is unlikely to be very persuasive, much less outcome-determinative, for two tribes locked in a life and death struggle as a matter of national identity and survival.

          • Drakken

Who cares what fly’s with you, the truth of the matter is the Jews kept what they conquered and you don’t like it because it hurts your feelings, and that is all you have feelings, tough toots, to the Victors go the spoils and if you have a problem with it, go join the nearest jihadist cause, there is plenty of room in h*ll with the Devil waiting with open arms and a smile for martyrs of allah(Devil). If you had such sympathy and empathy for displaced people, start with the Germans and Prussians who lost their lands. The palis deserve everything they get and more.

          • Daniel Greenfield

History isn’t a separate and distinct thing from the present.

Muslims certainly don’t think that the history is distinct from what is going on now.

Maybe you should take them at their word.

          • Americana

Neither do Zionist Jews consider there is any distinction between ANCIENT history and the history of the present day. I guess I should take the Zionist Jews at their word as well as the Palestinians? Are you going to take the Zionists word for what they want and why they want it? Look at everyone here stating again and again that God promised that the Jews would return to the land of milk and honey as if He gave them GPS coordinates for the resurrected nation of Israel! and it’s the entire region.

There most certainly are differences of Palestinian opinion on what they want to do w/the Israeli presence. Trying to represent the Palestinian Arabs or any Arabs as the conquerors who “stole Israel” out from under the Jewish people thousands of years ago is simply not accurate. Besides which, there are a few different opinions on the Arab street about how to approach the question of Palestinian statehood vs Israeli statehood. Not all of them are bloodthirsty opinions that advocate genocide of the Jews. I’ll grant you that quite a few Palestinians do advocate forcing the Jews out of Palestine or killing them, but, since that situation is NOT going to be resolved any time in the near future, perhaps it’s best to not allow that genocidal opinion to dominate the peace talks. Particularly since Israel will have to maintain her military defense for the foreseeable future regardless of what happens in peace talks.

Someone’s phobic about house dust, so she wears a gas mask 24/7. They perceive dangers that do not really exist, and then react to them in a radical way striving against those perceived but non-existent dangers. Look at Muslim communities throughout the world…my goodness, what do we see but these outpourings and expressions of rage and murder. Do they send aid to communities (even Muslim communities) in distress? Do they show solicitousness and care for their own citizens? Are they building up their infra-structures? Is education thriving or is illiteracy the dominant intellectual motif? We are dealing with the most mind-numbing, wicked societies of miscreants on the face of God’s green earth. Let me give you a tip: Arabs don’t really give a crap about the Palestinians. Oh, they say they do, but with Arabs, don’t listen to what they say, watch what they do.

Palestinians are the people who pick up the garbage in Saudi Arabia and pour the concrete in Abu Dhabi and that’s all that the other Arabs think they’re good for. Pretty much all Arabs think the Palestinians are on the bottom of the Arab totem pole.

That’s why King Hussein gave up all claims to the West Bank in 1970, although the Palestinians trying to kill him in 1969 played some influence. And why Sadat refused when Israel tried to give back Gaza to Egypt in 1977. They both would rather have the Palestinians be Israel’s problem rather than theirs.

Try learning the facts before running off at the mouth.

1: There’s no such thing as a “Palestinian” .. It’s a made up word that never existed prior to the creation of modern Israel. They’re just Arabs, a backward race of 7th century barbarians who abuse their wives and daughters, and whose religion prohibits them from using toilet paper.

2: None of these arabs was ever dispossessed by Israel or the Jews. Many arabs still live there with the same rights and privileges as the Jews who live there… The ones who left, SOLD their land when they went elsewhere. NO LAND WAS STOLEN FROM ARABS BY JEWS.

3: The land that the Jews bought from the arabs, was dry, barren, and relatively worthless, and the Jews admittedly bought it at prices that seem cheap today. Within a few years they turned it into a lush paradise, growing oranges the size of basketballs.

4: So now that the land has become so valuable, the arabs are whining that it was stolen from them. HORSE-FEATHERS! They see what the Jews did with their land, and it humiliates them, as well it should……

5: As a result of this, the intelligentsia of the civilized world, from the New York Times, to the faculty lounge at Harvard, have all decided that the Jews are the bad guys…

Doesn’t make a lot of sense… does it?

But then again, what does these days?

Ah, well, there’s the rub. There is such a national identity as “Palestinian Arabs” otherwise other Arabs wouldn’t be avoiding taking them all in as other posts have stated. You cannot lie about the situation in one post (as yours above) and then shoot yourselves in the foot in another post. It makes no sense whatsoever for the Jews to claim indigeneity and then deny the indigeneity of another group which has provable DNA that substantiates their claims to having been in the region for hundreds upon hundreds of years. Their Indigeneity has long since been proved as posts about the regional DNA analyses have shown that the Palestinian Arabs are a distinct group within the Arabs throughout the region. As for Arabs having been the ones to “conquer” their Jewish kingdoms, it wasn’t the Arabs who did that, it was other ethnic groups. The Jewish kingdoms were conquered multiple times by multiple different ethnic groups so claiming that the Arabs were the ethnic group that “stole Jewish homeland” doesn’t even make any sense given the historical timeline of conquerors. controversies by insisting on the lies.

            That’s a circular argument.

The other Arabs didn’t take them in because they had another national identity (Jordan annexed East Jerusalem), but because they wanted to use them against Israel.

            Which they did.

And then because once they had been weaponzied using groups such as the PLO, they were on the dangerous side.

Daniel, even you can’t spin that conspiracy theory you just wrote down in the way you’d like. What you wrote makes absolutely no sense the way you’ve written it. Yes, the Jordanians (as well as the other Arabs, why not mention those Arabs as well?) could use the Palestinian Arabs against Israel if the Palestinians remained in situ. But there was no need to pretend there was a Palestinian national identity that precluded their immigration as Jordanian citizens. WHY? Because the Palestinians didn’t VOLUNTEER to go to Jordan and the Jordanians and every other Arab nation knew the Palestinians weren’t going to leave voluntarily long before the final partitioning agreement. Why should the Palestinian Arabs disavow their heritage just because that would make it convenient for the Israelis?

          • Daniel Greenfield

It’s not a conspiracy theory. Plenty in the Muslim world have discussed it. The permanent condition of statelessness was deliberately manufactured and cultivated because it made them useful.

    • WesternCivilization

For the greater part, the “Jews” are “Jews-in-name-only”.

It should be remembered that “Jews” are hardly a monolithic group – in origin, in tradition, in thought and in practice. With respect to textual Scriptural domain alone, viewed together and avoiding important technical issues here, The Talmud, Midrash, Mishnah and Gemarah are repositories and predicates of debate among the most learned in each generation – including, for example, what is known as pilpul..

Let’s not forget that some of these “Jews” are not-far-off descendants of red diaper babies who share a well-entrenched leftist/socialist/Communist-with-a-”Capital C” inheritance and tradition.

Let’s not forget that among these number also the moral and factual equivalents of kapos and mosers who would do almost anything to elevate themselves above fellow Jews and who care not a whit about them – only about themselves.

Let’s not forget that among these “Jews” also are found the usual and expected assortment of thieves, psychopaths, miscreants and reprobates found throughout other populations.

In the end, it should be hardly surprising that there will be “Jews” who would buy into the “social justice” / “inclusion” / “fairness” tropes and memes so characteristic and emblematic of the leftist/socialist “radical transformers”.

      • Michael Garfinkel

Not surprising perhaps, but very disheartening.

        • WesternCivilization

Indeed, both not surprising and very disheartening..

          Indeed, very.

There are volumes more to be “said”, including about issues related particularly to “former Soviet” “Jews” – both those who emigrated to Israel and those who emigrated to the U.S. – and the roles they have played and continue to play in – and the nature and extent of their connection with – modern Jewry, both in Israel and in the U.S. and elsewhere.

A close and detailed study of these groups, to include examination of the effects of having lived for generations under largely atheistic, “state religion” Soviet rule, would lessen the element of surprise still further.

Let’s see, “miscreants”, “low-level” (certainly lower than you), “petty gangsters” is quite a list of names. I guess your maturity level never got off the playground after all. You are as bad as any leftist.

      • Judahlevi

Frankly, there are no monolithic groups of any classification.

People are individuals, not groups. It is the assignment of values to abstract group creations that causes the most damage to human-to-human relations.

        • WesternCivilization

So you are against and object to the disciplines of social psychology, group dynamics, populations studies, anthropology, marketing, ethnic studies, on and on and on.

Everything written on these subjects, including the comment to which you mindlessly and gratuitously add your thoughtless and empty comment, have no value or meaning to you.

Worse, your comment is an incoherent mish-mosh and betrays a level of ignorance coupled with an inability to string two words together that you would do far better to seek to hide than to display here for all to see.

          • Judahlevi

Let me make it more simple for you. Some people have a hard time understanding this.

Did Hitler assign values to Jews as a group?

I have engaged many people on this board and never insulted the intelligence of any of them. Your childish game of “I am smarter than everyone else” should have been left where it belongs – on the playground.

You insulted Greenfield yesterday, an individual who can write circles around you any day.

I believe one may learn from anyone since we are all unique and have different experiences. You, in your arrogance, assume otherwise. Truth can be found in the most unlikely of places, but you know better.

Coming from someone you think of as below you, arrogance and incivility appear as your trademarks. Good luck with that.

          • Meshulam

Exactly what I was thinking when I read yourposg

          • Michael Garfinkel

Well, there goes the discipline of sociology, as well.

The fact that Hitler and his political movement caused great harm does not justify the abandonment of disciplines which can point to truths, even if those disciplines can by misused for nefarious purposes.

This is not, as you suggest, a question of one’s “belief.”

People do segregate themselves into groups, to which they import a shared experience and particular values. They always have, and they always will.

Unknowingly, yours is a prescription for the suspension of judgment itself.

          • Judahlevi

Oh yes, I am opposed to all professional disciplines – and even science itself – if you are gullible enough to believe certain people.

Did I advocate for the abandonment of any professional discipline?

I stated that the assignment of values to groups has been very harmful to human relations throughout history. The reason is because people are not groups, they are individuals – and should be treated as such. Racism, sexism, homophobia, and other bigotries are based on assigning values to groups.

Your straw man (that I advocated for the elimination of a wide variety of professional disciplines) is erroneous. And if you want to argue that racism, sexism, and other group judgments are helpful for society – feel free to do so.

          • Michael Garfinkel

Sorry, but you’re employing sanctimony instead of reason.

Let me be clear: human beings exist as individuals, and they exist as social entities as well.

They exist socially in groups, which they self-identify as the embodiment of shared experience and shared values.

In your remarks, you accuse me of employing a “strawman” – as a preface to your employment of this device to absurd lengths.

I am certainly not arguing the merits of “racism, sexism, etc., – (you left out a host of other evil “isms,” incidentally).

I am simply pointing out a truth about human nature.

          • Judahlevi

No, you are not using reason, you are taking what another poster said about my comments, which was not true, and running with it. Why else is the comment, “there goes sociology as well?”

At least you admit that people are individuals, something the previous poster was not willing to do.

I’m Jewish. So which group value can you assign to me that you know to be absolutely true based on that fact alone?

          • Michael Garfinkel

            Absolutely true? None, probably.

But I have acquired an impression of you as an individual, and it is decidedly unpleasant.

Since you are determined to avoid thoughtful discussion, there is no reason to continue with this exchange.

          • Judahlevi

Next time you might want to think twice before ‘piling on’ after westernciv’s extremely judgmental comments.

The fact that you went after me instead of the person who called me names says a lot about you as well.

Now you can take your toys and go home.

      • Judahlevi

“Jews are hardly a monolithic group”

This is profound. Did you come up with that all by yourself?

And the people who only care about themselves, you know, like you. They are called what? Kapos and mosers. Right.

This long-winded, verbose, rambling, digressive rant does not add much of merit to the discussion.

A powerful reminder of whom Israel is fighting.

It’s interesting how mainstream Christian churches are turning their backs on fellow Christians being ethnically cleansed in Arab nations while they (the churches) attack Israel. The slaughter in Syria and Iraq, the persecution in Egypt, the precarious position of Christians in Lebanon, all suggest that Christian Churches need to align themselves with Israel to fight a common enemy.

Of course, these Churches like the rest of the mainstream establishment just can’t face the nature of Islam.

    • Habbgun

I’m Jewish so I’m not sure I have a legitimate opinion on this but then again I might be an unbiased observer.

I’ve noticed there are now two main streams in the Christian world. One that believes in a more individualistic religion and believes that everyone is a Christian no matter their origin. This is a more spiritual form of Christianity but it isn’t very powerful politically.

The other is the stream of old time power politics Christianity. The one which Europe spread as a justification for European power. This stream doesn’t care what happens to minorities and those out of power unless it matters to their own goals. In fact seeing non-European Christians get massacred only proves to themselves that they are the true home of Christianity. It is the Christianity of the elites and they may even be worse than post modernists.

You have a very good blog by the way. I’d like to know what you think.

      • Evermyrtle

The only way that you can be a Christian is to accept JESUS CHRIST, AS THE SON OF GOD AND YOUR SAVIOR AND LIVE ACCORDING TO HIS COMMANDMENTS WHICH ARE LISTED IN MATTHEW 22: 36-40

        37. JESUS SAID , THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART AND WITH ALL THY SOUL, AND WITH ALL THY MIND.
38.THIS IS THE FIRST AND GREAT COMMANDMENT.
        39. ANT THE SECOND IS LIKE UNTO IT, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF.
        40. ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS.

Love for GOD and your brothers and sisters in GOD will prevent you from committing any sins against them.

Unfortunately, the Christian denominations have been infested with Marxist theology that all things are equal, when it is as clear as day, it isn’t. The weak, feckless, revisionist, openly side with evil in todays world in the hopes and belief that evil can be appeased, history has time and time again proved the folly and self destruction of this stupidity.

      • truebearing

Anyone who practices Christianity as political has missed the point of Christ’s teachings entirely. There are many who say they are Christians, but far fewer who actually are.

One of the problems I see with too many Christians is that they put their own salvation ahead of anything else. It is, to put it bluntly, a selfish desire to get to heaven, or perhaps to avoid h ell. This selfish mentality is behind the ignoring of the plight of distant fellow Christians.

Jesus famously said: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13

Christians who turn their backs on the persecution of anyone, much less fellow Christians, are making a serious error, and if by avoiding risk to themselves, both physically and morally, they think they can ensure themselves a frontrow seat in heaven, they are forgetting Jesus’ admonitions about selfishness and lack of compassion.

Truly following the teachings of Jesus is a hard task. It is harder than getting a black belt or winning a medal in the Olympics. No one will succeed in doing it perfectly, but where the true perfection lies is in learning compassion, and acting accordingly. There are some truly wonderful Christians that are a credit to the human race. There are many who do their best but fall short. And there are too many who think Christianity is some kind of spiritual insurance policy.

That being said, I’d rather live with Christians who follow the teachings poorly that any Muslim.

    • truebearing

Some of the mainstream churches have been infiltrated by the Left, or run by mutton-headed fools who think they can expand their churches by going along with Cultural Marxism. Most individual Christians, on the other hand, support Israel.

Most Americans can’t face the threat of Islam…but they will, when it is nearing too late.

  • ObamaYoMoma

Actually, besides just the MB, Israel is at war with all Muslims in the world, which far transcends only terrorists, who are a few various fundamentalists, radicals, extremists, and Islamists. Indeed, since waging jihad is a fundamental holy obligation incumbent upon all Muslims in the world in one form or another, all Muslims in the world are not only waging jihad (holy war) against the infidels in Israel, but also against all infidels throughout the world in the cause of Allah to ultimately make Islam and Islamic totalitarian society supreme above all others throughout the world.

In other words, the problem far transcends the scope of only terrorism and also only tiny Israel. As a matter of fact, the most dangerous form of jihad in the world today is mass Muslim immigration with all of its excess baggage to the infidel west, because it is really a form of non-violent stealth and deceptive jihad for the nefarious purposes of mass Muslim infiltration of our societies and for eventual demographic conquest. Indeed, this form of non-violent jihad is exponentially far more dangerous for the infidel west at large relative to all the violent jihadists in the world combined that are conflated as being terrorists.

    • Giles Blyzzard

The stealth jihad is the most dangerous, but only because the willful ignorance of the west. There is really nothing stealthy about it at all anymore. All one has to do is look at France, Great Britain, Holland, Sweden, Myanmar, Thailand and on and on and on and anyone who will open their eyes can see what is going on. It is no longer stealthy. The leftist governments of the west are intentionally turning a blind eye and helping to usher in the worldwide caliphate. I will never understand why they are participating in their own destruction.

      • Jack DIamond

Europe’s alignment with the Arab Muslim world and embrace of Palestinianism was a deliberate (and suicidal) strategy to return Europe to world prominence. Bat Ye’or has chronicled it in great detail in her works. An alliance made manifest when during the 1973 Yom Kippur war, Europe sided with the Arab League and closed airspace and NATO bases to American aircraft with the intent of preventing them resupplying Israel. This was the European solution to (years of ) PLO terrorism and the OPEC oil boycott of countries friendly to Israel. Siding with them. Taking up the Palestinian, anti Israel, anti American, pro-Arab narrative. This has been the modus operandi of the EC/EU.

These “understandings” went as far back as the early 1970s, when PLO terrorists were allowed to to come and go in Italy, for instance, with the tacit agreement they wouldn’t commit terrorism IN ITALY. In 1973 the EC recognized the PLO and agreed to support Arafat. This legitimized a PLO whose jihadist charter rejected the very existence of Israel (nor does the EU condemn Hamas’s genocidal charter). This policy of Euro-Arab rapprochement included allowing mass immigration into Europe from African and Asian Muslim countries under the guise of multiculturalism–the new belief in the relativism of cultures. The relativism of Europe’s culture, that is, not Islam’s.

        • kasandra

Is it even possible that, with all of their historical experience of Islam, the Europeans actually thought the Islamic Arab world would assist returning Europe – which had colonized much of that world – to world prominence? Such an idea doesn’t pass the laugh test. How could the Europeans have seriously contemplated it? I’d say that Europe’s alignment with the Arab world is more a manifestation of cowardice. But I could be wrong. That’s for sure.

          • Jack Diamond

Sure, fear and anxiety. Fear of upsetting the Arabs had a lot to do with the reverence for anything Arab in the 1960s and 70s. Fear of provoking more terrorism lead to appeasement, just as we saw happen in Spain after the Madrid bombing. It’s how dhimmitude works.

I don’t know what, if any, of the savage history of the jihad conquests they had been taught, what of the terrible history of dhimmitude. Maybe nothing. It was the time of the Edward Saids of the world. The leaders of the Euro-Arab project believed in the new continent they were making, a superior synthesis of Europe (a sinking continent) with the Arab world. One that would challenge America (with the weight of the Muslim world behind it). They were genuinely anti-American and genuinely anti-Israel (the French long before the oil stickup). As good progressives they admired Arab-Islamic culture, like they admired everything Third World. They bought into the myth of the Andalusian Golden Age of Muslim tolerance and enlightenment. They took to the Palestinian narrative of reality. Their worldview was typically leftist and multiiculturalist and one where Israel’s existence, not Islamic ideology, was the chief obstacle to peace with the Arab Muslims.

Three decades later there is a new continent, all right. One of dhimmitude and rabid Jew-hatred amidst an increasingly violent, aggressive, and unpleasantly hostile colony of unassimilated Muslims. And the architects of Eurabia are still fine with it.

    • Jack DIamond

Take a look at the classic manuals of Islamic law, Umdat al-Salik (Reliance of the Traveler), for instance, endorsed by Al-Azhar, on what constitutes apostasy or “leaving Islam” (which is a capital offense). It can even include “sarcasm” or “to intend to commit unbelief, even if in the future.” Even if in the future! Is it any wonder “true” Muslims can accuse or kill less “pure” Muslims so readily? Of course they have the example of their leader and role model, Muhammad (al-insan al-kamil perfect man; usawa hasana the Model of Conduct) who ordered an “offending” mosque burned down with everyone inside.

Muslims of Zarrar (a place close to Medina) had built a mosque. They invited him (Muhammad) to come and bless it. He told them that he would come after the raid of Tabuk. When he returned from Tabuk some malicious people told him that the Muslims of Zarrar had invented their own version of Islam and were not following the Islam of the Prophet. Muhammad did not try to investigate. He ordered his men to burn down the mosque with the worshipers inside. Then he revealed a verse (Qur’an 9:107) “and there are those who put up a mosque by way of mischief and infidelity to disunite the Believers.”
—related by Ali Sina in “Muhammad and Muslims”

Killing is habit forming and Allah’s enemies are truly everywhere, causing fitna (discord) and mischief even amongst the Believers. And fitna, as we all know, is worse than any slaughter (Qur’an 2:191).

Brilliant column. It simply amazing that the world media seem to accept the idea of the Islamic Waqf – that all land taken by Islam becomes an Islamic religious endowment for all time. That’s why they still claim Spain (Andalusia). They once held it so its a religious endowment for Islam for all time. I can see why a violent supremacist religion might believe such an absurd idea but why Western media have to, in effect, support and perpetuate it in their reporting is beyond me.

As an American citizen I fully support and commend the actions of Israel against their aggressors. The people of Israel, the ones who possess the courage to stand and fight for the survival of their families, tradition and country are an inspiration to patriots here in America.

This is another great article, and like Bruce Thornton’s and Caroline Glick’s, it holds up a mirror and clearly reflects the insanity happening all around us. All of them make too obvious the genocidal attacks being carried out by Islam and its European appeasers, including the press and academia. And just as Daniel Pipes said it would about 15 years ago. And no one, not even the Muslims, would argue with the article’s conclusion: “Israel has become a flashpoint in the region because it is the only place where an armed non-Muslim minority has been able to make a stand against Muslim genocide.”

The only complaint with these summaries and mirrors is that they are no longer enough. Two things I feel that Israel and the other democracies need are another inspirational leader like Orde Wingate and a modern charter, something like a Charter for the Reestablished Nation of Israel.

Wingate was a British Army captain in Palestine in the 1930s. When he was first assigned to Palestine, he was pro-Arab and could read and write Arabic fluently. After a few weeks in Palestine, he became a total Zionist supporter, and one of the prime creators of the IDF, having started the first military training school for Israelis, including students like Moshe Dayan. We need his slap in the face and inspiration to wake us and the world up to the horrors heading our way. Dayan said, “In some sense, every leader of the Israeli Army even today is a disciple of Wingate. He gave us our technique, he was the inspiration of our tactics, he was our dynamic.”

Here are a few excerpts from his dealings with the Jews of Palestine:

(“Gideon Goes to War”, Leonard Mosley, 1955)

Wingate complained to Israeli leader, Zvi Brenner:

“Somewhere in those hills are men who will one day come down and wipe you out.”
Brenner replied: “They will not overrun us so easily. We shall be waiting for them when they come.”
Wingate turned angrily upon him. “That is the trouble with the Jews. They are always so calm and patient. Always waiting. Always waiting for disaster to come. You are a race of masochists crying: ‘Hur me, hurt me! I cannot reaise a hand against you until you have killed my brother and raped my sister and cast my father and mother into the ditch.’ The Jews in Palestine are in bad condition. So long as you all sit in your settlements and wait to fight and die, you will die before you have a chance to fight.” (p. 47)

(From “Orde Wingate,” by Christopher Sykes, 1959)

Wingate explained to British Major Wilfred Thesiger why he became a Zionist:
“When I was at school I was looked down on, and made to feel that I was a failure and not wanted in the world. When I came to Palestine I found a whole people who had been treated like that through scores of generations, and yet at the end of it they were undefeated, were a great power in the world, building their country anew. I felt I belonged to such people.” (p. 110)

In a conversation with Israeli leader David Hacohen, later to become a MK:

“This is the cause of your survival. I count it as my privilege to help you fight your battle. To that purpose I want to devote my life. I believe that the very existence of mankind is justified when it is based on the moral foundation of the Bible. Whoever dates lift a hand against you and your enterprise here should be fought against. Whether it is jealousy, ignorance or perverted doctrine such as have made your neighbors rise against you, or ‘politics’ which make some of my countrymen support them, I shall fight with you against any of these influences. But remember that it you battle.”
“Hacohen felt dazed” after his conversation with Wingate.

In any case, Israel needs a Charter, modeled after the UN’s, and should encompass both Israel’s Declaration of Independence and its constitution, but widen the horizon of its focus to encompass the Bible, the future of humanity, and how it will deal with threats against it. It should swallow the PLO and Hamas Charters, which are essentially Declarations of Islamic holy war, and discredit their statements.

The Jews already have reflective mirrors of events around them. We have shields in the way of the IDF. But we don’t seem to have a spear to actually use against those writings. We need another Wingate, Jewish or not, and we need him in writing. .

Wingate in a 1937 letter to a military cousin: “The Jews are men of theier word–they have always been so–in fact it is the Gentile’s main complaint against them. . . . You can have no idea of what they have already done here. You would be amazed to see the desert blossom like a rose; intensive horticulture everywhere–such energy, faith, ability and inventiveness as the world has not seen”

Left-wing logic: if you support Israel and criticize Hamas, you’re an Islamophobe, but it is outrageous to suggest that if you insult Herman Cain, you’re a racist.

No. Help me out here. If a black person criticizes Obama, how is that racist? Regarding Herman Cain, he was the victim of left-wing racist smear attacks. White leftists like Janeane Garofalo have stated that Cain was “suffering from Stockholm Syndrome”. Yet, so-called “liberals” (who are really leftists) didn’t make Garofalo a pariah for her racist and bigoted comments nor denounced her.

You claim liberals distort things, but you, whatever you want to call yourselves are delusional. Always with the victim complex, ethnic cleansing? So the Israeli government wiped out it’s own people? No, they made a tiny concession so they can carry on getting the ridiculous funding they get and carry on lobbying all of our sovereign governments to put them first over the safety and wishes of our civilians! Idiots! Yeah, call people hipsters, then you don’t have to listen to them and can dismiss them, if they are not under threat, why do you think they are out in the streets? Israel is perhaps the least efficient “ethnic cleanser” in the history of mankind, calumnies to the contrary notwithstanding.

In 1947 some 740,000 Palestinians lived in the British Mandate for Palestine. Today, the Arab residents of the West Bank and Gaza, together with Arab citizens of Israel, comprise a total of over five million Palestinians (altogether over nine million people worldwide refer to themselves as Palestinian.) Palestinian growth rate has been calculated as close to double that of Asia and Africa over a comparable period of time.

Jews were formally expelled from many areas in the Arab world. The Arab League released a statement urging Arab governments to facilitate the exit of Jews from Arab countries, a resolution which was carried out through a series of punitive measures and discriminatory decrees that made it untenable for Jews to remain in their native lands.

In 1951, the Iraqi government passed legislation that made affiliation with Zionism a felony and ordered “the expulsion of Jews who refused to sign a statement of anti-Zionism.” This pushed tens of thousands of Jews to leave Iraq, while much of their property was confiscated by the state.

In 1967, many Egyptian Jews were detained and tortured, and Jewish homes confiscated. In Libya that year, the government “urged the Jews to leave the country temporarily,” permitting each to take one suitcase and the equivalent of $50.

In 1970, the Libyan government issued new laws confiscating all the assets of Libya’s Jews, issuing in their stead 15-year bonds. But when the bonds matured, no compensation was paid. Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi justified this on the grounds that “the alignment of the Jews with Israel, the Arab nations’ enemy, has forfeited their right to compensation.”

Ethnic cleansing can best be defined by Saudi Arabia where Mohammed’s ethnic cleansing means that over 1,000 years later no Jews or Christians can live permanently.

    • Bklyn Farmer

Not one single apartheid practice applies to Israel. Israel is by far the most racially mixed and tolerant nation in the entire Muslim Middle East. Arabs, who are about 20% of Israel’s population, enjoy, without any exception, the same rights and opportunities in all fields as their Jewish fellow citizens. The total equality of all Israelis is assured in Israel’s founding document. All non-Jews (which means primarily Muslim Arabs) have full voting rights. At present, eleven Arabs sit in Israel’s Knesset (parliament): Three Arabs are deputy speakers. Arabs are represented in Israel’s diplomatic service all over the world. Arab students may and do study in all Israeli universities. All children in Israel are entitled to subsidized education until graduation, without any restrictions based on color or religions. In short, Muslim Arabs and other non-Jews are allowed everything that Jews are allowed, everything that non-Whites were not allowed in apartheid South Africa.

But, yes, there is one difference: Jewish Israeli men are obligated to a three-year stint in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and serve in the reserve until they are 50 years old. For Arabs, this service is voluntary. Except for the Druze, hardly any Arabs volunteer to serve in the armed forces.

Unfortunately there is apartheid in the Middle East but it is in the Arab controlled countries:

      Racial Apartheid against Black African

      Ethnic Apartheid against the Kurds

      Gender Apartheid against Women.

Religious Apartheid against Christians and Jews. Persecution, discrimination and attacks against religious minorities, especially Christians and Jews, are rampant in the Middle East. Pressure by radical Islamists has become so great that in the last 20 years some two million Christians have been driven out of their Middle East homelands. Christians in the Palestinian territories have dropped from 15 percent of the population in 1950 to just two percent today.
According to Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas, Jews will be banned from any future Palestinian state

Ethnic Apartheid against Palestinian Arabs. For some 40 years Palestinians have been denied citizenship in Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Palestinians have been expelled from many Middle Eastern countries, including Kuwait, Jordan, Libya and Iraq. In Lebanon, Palestinians must live in designated areas, cannot own homes and are barred from 70 occupations.

It’s not new the Ottoman Caliphate had killed censored then blamed every atrocity it and its Arabs had done on the victim minorities, this is how Islam colonized from India, Indonesia and so many other places. 2 minoroties they had blamed for a genocide they had done on the Ottoman Caliphate in the same region as Israel was the Druze (apostate Muslims) Maronite(Syriac speaking Christians) war between 1840 and 1860, I have references to sources which say more of those 2 minoroties were killed (then blamed for their own deaths) by the Turks and Arabs in those 20 years, and the war was anti-Christian than the whole Israeli-against Islamic colonialism war’s history.

Excellent article and simply brilliant as the truth is displayed in a format that even a 3rd grader can understand. An obscure scripture comes to my mind today from Judges 3:1,2:

“Now these are the nations the Lord left, to test Israel by them, that is, all in Israel who had not experienced all the wars in Canaan. It was only in order that the generations of the people of Israel might know war, to teach war to those who had not known it before.”

I am clearly not smart enough to make inferences from antiquity to the present, but I believe that the same G-d of Israel leads, cares and loves Israel today just as he did thousands of years ago. Only He knows what Israel must face in the future.

The Eastern Roman Empire was 10% Jewish, which is how the whole Middle East should look, as it did before the persocution on a scale unseen anywhere at any time in human history. The Middle East should be 10% Jewish 50% Christian, 30% Muslim and 10% minorities and atheists. That is the real history, and what should be the normal breakdown of the Middle East, today it is 99% colonialist Muslim.

    • Bklyn Farmer

In the early 1900′s the Christians made up 20% of the demographics in the Middle East today it is down to 5%. With the exception of Israel the Christian population is dropping, even the town of Bethlehem which historical been predominantly Christian city under PA is now Muslim dominated.

“The international principle that has been adopted universally is that when Muslims conquer a place, it belongs to them permanently, even if they only conquered it a few decades ago. Muslims always have superior rights to Christians, Jews or any other non-Muslim group in their own countries or any country.”

Precisely. And what does this amount to? It is a de facto establishment of the Conditions of Omar, the Dhimma. This is why I argue that we have quietly surrendered to the principle of Muslim superiority and Muslim domination at an official level. Why do Muslims get preferential treatment? Is it not because we have adopted the psychological attitudes of dhimmis? This is the effect that Islam has. It emerges from its inherent nature.

    Enjoy the Conditions of Omar

“The worst wolves to Jews are fellow Jews – not only as kapos and mosers in the not-too-distant-past but at the hands of leftist “Jews” in both the U.S. and Israel.”

This is trash – Jews are not “wolves” to Jews. We have ideological disagreements (two Jews and three opinions) but Jews look out for other Jews.

And kapos were Jews who had extreme self-interest, something you should be very familiar with, at a time of maximum duress. What would you do?

Trotsky was a very controversial figure, not because of being Jewish, but because of his politics. He wasn’t murdered only because he was Jewish. This is a simplistic analysis from a simple mind.

  • chelmer

Western liberals are cowards who believe nothing is worth dying for. Their behavior derives from cowardice. They hedge their bets. By criticizing and opposing the forces that protect them from their enemies, they act like hedge-fund managers. If ultimately the forces of Western Civilization prevail, their status in society will not be threatened. If the good guys win, no one will come after them for writing endless books, articles and op-eds denouncing our military as criminal, our allies as Nazis and our soldiers as murderers. They’ll be viewed as intellectuals, superior in their outlook and morality. They’ll be given sinecures in administrations or faculties. If the bad guys win, they can turn to the thugs after they come to power and say, “Before you came to power, I defended your rights and your cause. I supported you. I recognized the importance of your movement.” They play a double game. Whoever wins, they win. And the game comes with an automatic sense of moral superiority, cost-free.
There is no down-side and every upside to standing up for Islam and the Arabs, even if–especially if– you’re a Lesbian Jewish Queer Studies professor. Those who defend you will always defend you, and those who want you to die can be co-opted more easily if you adopt a liberal stance.
Do everything to undermine those who are struggling to hold the thin red line, and sit back and watch to see who prevails. Bet the race, not the racehorse.

This is what should happen: Hamas, those tunnels and those rockets, should be destroyed. Israel should then annex Gaza, and Judea and Samaria. Then they should enforce martial law in those area until all terrorist elements are destroyed. Then any Arab in those areas can be allowed to stay in their homes so long as they do not break the law. The death penalty should be enforced if an Arab murders a Jew and if a Jew murders an Arab. Any Arab who causes problems should be at least expelled to Jordan or Egypt. Any Arab who commits a terrorist attack against Israel should be shot, and his family deported. If that sounds harsh to critics of Israel, I remind you that all of these steps would be merciful in comparison to what the Arabs would do to the Jews if they had a chance. To any Jew who takes exception to my suggestions, upon his head is the blood of every Jew who was killed by an Arab. Devastation, Annexation, and Expulsion. It’s a lot nicer than a holocaust of hatchets and knives, which is what the Arabs would do to us, if they could. This message should be proposed to Netanyahu.
