Kerry Now Just Letting Saudi Arabia Write his Islam Apologetics For Him

DIPLO-articleLarge

It doesn’t get more obvious than this.

“Like everybody in this room, I’m sure I watched … the president – many I think were shocked – when he emphasized that the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant was in fact not Islamic. They not simply refer to themselves as the Islamic State. They don’t call themselves the Methodist State or the Episcopalian State or the Baptist State. They’re the Islamic State, and I think for good reason,” Rep. Steve Chabot (R-Ohio) said.

Kerry said of ISIS. “They’re the enemy of Islam. That’s what they are, and as the 21 clerics yesterday said in Saudi Arabia, they are in fact the order of Satan.”

Kerry is doing a great job of presenting the Saudi position, but shouldn’t the Secretary of State be able to present an American position?

We’ve gone so far down the rabbit hole with the “Religion of Peace” nonsense that politicians operate in the Islamic theological space even when criticizing Al Qaeda.

“The Party of Satan” is Islamist rhetoric, traditionally directed at Hezbollah for obvious reasons (Party of Allah). As with Hezbollah, the differences between the Saudis and ISIS aren’t “moderate” or “extreme”. They’re theological rivals with conflicting claims of religious supremacy.

Kerry echoing the Saudis only sounds foolish.

The Saudis can insist for pragmatic reasons that ISIS is not Islam, but since when is the United States in the business of deciding which flavor of a religion is the right one? Are we suddenly endorsing one group of Wahhabis over another? And why?

They’re both enemies of the United States. They both believe in killing non-Muslims.

If the United States isn’t going to set up a state church or mosque, then it has no business announcing which Islamic group is legitimate or not. It’s not only unconstitutional, it’s a silly waste of time and proves nothing.

Nobody appointed Kerry to decide which Islamic group represents real Islam. He doesn’t have the standing or qualifications for it.

“He doesn’t have the standing or qualifications for it.” Has Kerry qualifications for anything? I doubt he could manage a hot dog stand or work in a company mail room without muffing it up. Maybe change a tire? Nope. Kerry might be able to become a standup comedian and work with a fat little guy who’d throw him lines and act as a foil, a la Laurel and Hardy or Abbot and Costello. But the man is basically clueless and no good for anything, except perhaps marrying up the money tree (re Teresa Heinz).

He’s qualified to be a gigolo. He even got plenty of work done.

Perhaps being a gigolo is his only real world experience. Can you imagine his fate if, like the Tom Hanks character, he found himself stranded and alone on a uncharted desert island?

Daniel, more common sense in your last two sentences than any fool from Foggy Bottom has drummed up since we nuked Hiroshima. … Much less Kerry.

Only a mush brain like Kerry would go to a dog & pony show put on by the one of the wealthiest totalitarian states on the planet, listen to the tacky-lying-hyena’s and then spew their ‘truth’ all over the air waves.

Like savoring fine vomit: He must have learned it at one of those fancy boarding schools in France…
