Libyan Jihadists Have a Bunch of Jetliners They Might Fly into Buildings

obama-mission-accomplished

Obama’s regime change operation in Libya worked out really well.

1. There are now at least two governments in Libya

2. Most of the major cities are controlled by Jihadist groups, including the one that was responsible for Benghazi

3. Some of those groups have jetliners that they might be planning to use for terrorist attacks

I don’t know how this could get any better. Maybe they could get their hands on some nuclear weapons. Or make a YouTube video about Mohammed.

Islamist militias in Libya took control of nearly a dozen commercial jetliners last month, and western intelligence agencies recently issued a warning that the jets could be used in terrorist attacks across North Africa.

Intelligence reports of the stolen jetliners were distributed within the U.S. government over the past two weeks and included a warning that one or more of the aircraft could be used in an attack later this month on the date marking the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks against New York and Washington, said U.S. officials familiar with the reports.

“There are a number of commercial airliners in Libya that are missing,” said one official. “We found out on September 11 what can happen with hijacked planes.”

And we found out in 2008 what can happen with a hijacked country. But unless those planes slam into a golf course, there’s probably nothing to worry about.

Libya remains an oil-rich state and if the country is taken over completely by Islamist extremists, U.S. counterterrorism officials believe it will become another terrorist safe haven in the region.

There are already Al Qaeda training camps in Libya and weapons and fighters from Libya helped make the disaster in Syria/Iraq possible. So that bird has flown the coop.

FrontPage magazine is my go to site on the all encompassing culture wars.

War News Update is my go to site for foreign affairs and military stuff since it is such a great aggregator of such news.

In 2 more weeks will we see more light brown, beige and soft pastel colored suits? More golf and talking under my voice speeches only to roar when talking about minimum wage?

When Muslims are holding a hammer, everything looks like a nail. They weaponize women, retarded people, children, underpants, airliners, and even their own rectums. They see everything as a tool to kill people. I guess a moderate Muslim would only kill people wearing clean underwear.

With all those Ghaddafi MANpads all over Libya (and all over Muslim Africa by now) in the hands of devout Muslims, how are they going to communicate with each other if other devout Muslims do fly those planes? The devout Muslims flying the plane are now at risk of getting blown out of the sky by their own inbred cousins. Would be most excellent.

    • truebearing

That could happen, which would be an excellent use for the Manpads, but they could also be walked across our borders with little chance of being intercepted.

Come to think of it, they could fly those airliners, packed with high-powered explosives, right at NYC without even getting the attention of DHS. They are too busy monitoring the movement of Tea Party members.

I doubt the planes have the range to make it to the U.S. but, given the proximity of the Vatican to Libya, and the threats IS has made against the Pope, it wouldn’t surprise me if they were used against the Vatican.

        • patechinois

          And el-Sisi. And the pyramids.

        • truebearing

Yes, they would have to re-fuel, if for no other reason than to burn more people when they hit their target.

No doubt there are other targets They might make a run at Egypt or Israel. The Vatican would be another potential target. We should send fighters over the airport(s) they are parked in and destroy them before they have a chance to use them…but that would require a Commander-In-Chief who is on our side.

          • kasandra

It was just a thought I had. It’s within range without having to refuel, which would increase the risk of detection, would be consistent with a prior threat and would be symbolically important. But I do agree with your proposed solution and always enjoy your posts.

Every time Obama opens his mouth I hate him more.

      How could anybody not?

The EU has already demanded they use union labor, proffer gender equality and create set asides for the LGBT community. Beyond that, they’re ok with Libyan Death from Above Airlines.

Let me get this straight; yesterday the reports came out that the fed has lost track of 6,000 foreign students on expired visas in this country and now terrorists have possession of 11 commercial aircraft from Libya? Our 911 memoriam is eight days away. Does anyone else find this a little more than odd? Maybe it’s just a bout of paranoia… No, probably nothing. Back to sleep.

Let’s remember, the Prez and his lackeys would never have political power unless put there and kept there by a depraved American electorate. Of course bringing in reliable Democrat voters from thousands of cemeteries always helps to beef up the base.
