Murdered Bodies of Israeli/American Teens Kidnapped by Hamas Found

The EU and the State Department demanded that Israel show restraint in the search for three kidnapped teenagers, one American and two Israel.
Israeli troops on Monday discovered the bodies of Naftali Fraenkel, 16, Gil-ad Shaar, 16, and Eyal Yifrach, 19 who, were kidnapped on the night of June at a hitchhiking post outside the settlement of Alon Shvut in the Etzion Bloc south of Jerusalem.
Since the start of Operation Brother’s Keeper to find them, 18 days of searches had seen the arrests of over 400 Palestinians, a majority of them members of Hamas.
Israeli authorities on Thursday named two Hamas members as prime suspects in the kidnapping.
On Sunday night, tens of thousands of people crowded into Kings of Israel Square in Tel Aviv to show support for the families of the three kidnapped teenagers, under the banner “Singing Together for Their Return.” President-elect Reuven Rivlin and the parents of the kidnapped teens highlighted the speaker list.
“They know it’s the three, they will know for sure after they do the autopsy.”The official said the three appeared to have been shot to death, likely “very close to the kidnap” time, and that the prime suspects had still not been caught.
Will Obama finally stop funding the PLO/Hamas unity government now?
The mother of another murdered American boy had written an angry letter to Obama.
I would like to know why President Barack Obama has still failed to publicly condemn the kidnapping of Naftali Frenkel here in Israel, who is both an Israeli and American citizen. Two weeks ago, Naftali, Gilad Shaar and Eyal Yifrach were kidnapped by terrorists on their way home from school. There has not been any word from them since. I would like to know why President Obama and the First Lady don’t say that Naftali and the other two boys are like their children, as they said about the girls who were kidnapped in Nigeria. Michelle Obama said she was outraged and heartbroken about those girls. I would like to know why the President and First Lady have made no public statements at all about our boys, and especially about Naftali, an American citizen.
After my 13 year old son Koby, also an American citizen, was killed by terrorists in 2001, a law was introduced in Congress called the Koby Mandell Act. It later passed as an omnibus rider (my son’s name was erased), which opened an office in the Department of Justice called the Office of Justice for the Victims of Overseas Terrorism (OVT). The office’s mandate was to actively pursue terrorists who murdered Americans abroad.
At about the same time, the government initiated a Rewards for Justice Program to pay for information leading to the arrest of overseas terrorists. Yet, no terrorist killers of Americans in Israel have ever been apprehended under that program. In fact, today when I checked the Rewards for Justice website, there was not even a listing for my son’s name. His murderers have not been found, yet the Justice Department has seemingly deleted him from their consciousness. They are not looking for his killers. In fact, according to their list of atrocities, no Koby Mandell was ever killed in Israel by terrorists. They have closed his case, if it was ever opened. And if you search the Office of Victims of Overseas Terrorism, you will not find his name either, except in reference to the first version of the law.
Ted Cruz spoke out on the Senate floor. Obama never did.
All of us should stand with Rachel as she stands with her son who’s been kidnapped.
I also want to tell the world about these three boys. Rachel’s son Naftali is sixteen-years-old. His grandparents have lived in Brooklyn and Brooklyn has been a second home to him. He is the oldest of seven children, he likes playing the guitar, basketball and ping pong. Indeed there’s even a video of him on YouTube playing ping pong. I gotta say is pretty good.
He is a talented and gifted student who is on track to take the biology matriculation exams. His teachers say Naftali is brilliant, one of the best they’ve ever had and his mother said his personality is a delightful combination to both serious and fun.
Gilad Shair, who was with Naftali that day coming home also from school was likewise abducted. Like Naphtali, Gilad is 16 years old.
Gil means happiness and ad means forever. His name literally means happiness forever and is a source of joy to those who meet him.
His aunt Lehi Shair, with whom I had the privileges meeting and visiting earlier this week says he has a smile that brings light to the world. Quite fitting for a boy named happiness forever. And she says, “We want him home where he belongs, with his family he so dearly loves.”
Gilad has five sisters and he is described by them as a caring and loving brother. He is the family’s only son and he has family in Los Angeles and New York.
Gilad is witty, he loves to read and watch movies and recently he finished a scuba diving course, but he’s also a talented cook he enjoys baking his sisters cakes and pastries.
We don’t know where Gilad is right now
And then there is Eyal Yifrach, yhe third boy kidnapped that day. He is nineteen years old and is the oldest of six children. He’s a role model for their family and he’s loved by friends who say they would like to have him as a brother.
He loves sports, he should be cheeing the World Cup games today, like so many other teenagers with his friends, a gregarious fellow he likes to cook, to travel, to play guitar, to sing, indeed you can find videos at him on YouTube singing a song that he wrote himself.
They all should be home singing again.
Sadly that won’t happen now.
WJC President Ronald S. Lauder said the thoughts of the entire international Jewish community were with the families of Naphtali Fraenkel, Gilad Sha’ar and Eyal Yifrach.
“Clearly, Hamas is a terrorist organization, and it must be dismantled, and it is the responsibility of Mahmoud Abbas to remove all Hamas-linked officials from his government immediately and fight terrorism vigorously and urgently. Abu Mazen needs to show leadership now,” Lauder declared.
He also urged the international community, and in particular the United States and the European Union, to halt all financial support for the Palestinian Authority until Hamas is excluded from all government bodies. “This murder must spur the world into action, and the fight against fanatic, extremist groups such as Hamas must be stepped up urgently,” said the WJC president.
