Give me a break there is a good side in Egypt.
What they have is a bad side and a worse side. The worse side is the lightly educated majority that has a fondness for Shariah Law and no difficulty with vigorous, non democratic government.

The other side is a somewhat better educated and semi westernized minority that none the less controls things because they hold the positions of greatest power. They are the Egyptian version of an educated elite. They may not favor western culture in the broad sense, but they do not want to be dragged back to seventh century thinking by an Islamist government. So, they do what they have to do to stay in power, and this time around they dodged a bullet (so to speak) and kicked the Islamic fundamentalist out.

Prior to the ouster of Mubarak from power, the Muslim Brotherhood had, for years, declared their goal of establishing rule by the Shariah in Egypt. Mubarak banned both the Brotherhood and the Shariah. Obama and Hillary Clinton supported the ouster of Mubarak, and the rise to power of the Muslim Brotherhood. But, the protests that brought about the ouster of Mubarak had been protests for Freedom and Democracy, not protests for rule by the Shariah. Notwithstanding the longstanding Muslim Brotherhood statements for Shariah rule, Obama and Clinton claimed that the Brotherhood would bring Freedom and Democracy to Egypt.
When it was clear that the Brotherhood was not bringing Freedom and Democracy, the protesters again took to the streets. But, Obama and Hillary Clinton, and Hillary's successor, John Kerry, didn't support the protesters for Freedom and Democracy, they supported the Muslim Brotherhood.
Obama has made it very clear that he is not an advocate for Freedom and Democracy, he is an advocate for the Muslim Brotherhood. He has appointed Muslim Brotherhood members to his White House Advisory Council, to advise him on Middle Eastern matters. Certainly, they must have advised him as to the proper course of action in Libya.
