There’s no room for marriage in San Francisco unless it involves two men (one of whom used to be a woman), a duck, three tables and a cuckoo clock.

And while gay marriage is to be promoted and honored. Actual marriage is supposed to keep its mouth shut. Also traditional religions are meant to stay quiet when the richest woman in Congress and her voting base speak.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi took the lead this week in a high-profile lobbying effort to pressure San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone not to attend the controversial March for Marriage event, which she characterized as “venom masquerading as virtue.”

“We share our love of the Catholic faith and our city of San Francisco,” Pelosi wrote to Cordileone, who, as head of the 560,000-member Archdiocese of San Francisco, has become the Catholic bishops’ point man against gay marriage. She urged him to abandon an event in which some of the participants show “disdain and hate towards LGBT persons.”

The San Francisco Democratic leader is the most influential in a parade of public figures who have come forward to protest the San Francisco archbishop’s participation in an event that is also backed by the Family Research Council.

Last week, San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee and Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, along with a host of Bay Area religious leaders, sent a joint letter to Cordileone protesting his plans to attend the march.

“We ask that you will reconsider your participation and join us in seeking to promote reconciliation rather than division and hatred,” Newsom, Lee and dozens of others wrote in their letter to Cordileone.

It’s never the gay marriage advocates who are divisive. It’s the marriage advocates who are.

And there’s no doubt that abortion fan and ObamaCare advocate Nancy Pelosi shares a great love for the Catholic faith.

If they share their love of the Catholic faith and their love of San Francisco, with whom do they share those loves? Please, Ms. Pelosi, for once make a coherent statement in a speech. Thank you in advance.

    • DB1954

In the final analysis, is the love of San Francisco all that important to anyone?

I have a disdain for serial monogamy, swinging, LGBT lifestyle, & adultery. Does that make me a bad person? Especially, if I voice my opinion? Will a “noveau church lady” like Nancy Pelosi try to silence me?

People are so scared of carcinogens. After all they are known or thought to cause cancer. Meanwhile people swap spit and thus germs with great abandon. In addition to the much discussed effects of STDs what about the possible role of bacteria and viruses in cancers or things like pelvic inflammatory disease.

Is it really wise to assume there will always be a pill or treatment regimen that will save the day? If there is and medical costs are skyrocketing for the nation is it really fair to spend more money to cure people time after time and take money away form education?

disdain : a feeling of strong dislike or disapproval of someone or something you think does not deserve respect

    - He regarded their proposal with disdain.
    - I have a healthy disdain for companies that mistreat their workers.
    - McCarthy’s indifference to accolades and his disdain for grandstanding … turned into a disdain even for being understood. —Louis Menand, New Yorker, 5 Apr. 2004

To answer your question in one word. Yes. You will be silenced if you do not agree with the politically correct mandates of support and approval of promiscuity, abortion, sodomy, homosexual marriage, amnesty for illegal alien criminals, man-made global warming, and Islam is a religion of peace.
      It is really that simple.
It doesn’t matter how detrimental to the individual, to the family, or to the whole of society these politically correct mandates are. All that matters is they serve to destroy and the revolutionaries of the left are all about destruction. They learned from their comrades in history that the best way to control people is to allow them to practice all of the vices and to discourage all of the virtues. And they learned that sexual irresponsibility is one of the most powerful tools to manipulate people into believing that

So-called “gay marriage” is ridiculous and dishonest. Adults can live with whomever they want, with or without sexual relations (except for incest). They can make any financial arrangements they want. Society has an interest in marriage for the raising of children. It has no interest in how homosexuals choose to live with each other. Congresswoman Pelosi should study the birds and the bees. The animals I see always mate male to female, and that includes birds and insects like bees. Good for Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone.

    • pupsncats

Because homosexual marriage is ridiculous and dishonest it is honored, promoted, and glorified. Today, anything that serves to glorify promiscuity, non-commitment, and attacks the foundations and traditions of America is politically, socially and economically favored.

I’m really confused as to what “Catholic faith” Pelosi is referring to. It certainly doesn’t comport to any of the teachings of the Catholic Church which are based upon the written word of God himself. I know most people believe the Catholic Church is the one headed by Francis, which it isn’t, and one where those like Pelosi and Biden promote, advance, and glorify the most sinful abominations against God while claiming to be Catholics and in good standing. But why does she and those like her stay within a faith community where they don’t believe what it teaches, particularly when there are so many others that, like them, believe sins are virtues?

when I look at Nancy Pelosi, I can truly believe that liberalism in older people is a mental illness but forthe young it is just naiivity

Do these”ANIMALS”even know how to spell:”TOLERANCE”??(I apologize to our”Animal”buddies)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dan Mesa/AZ

A lay person warning an Archbishop? How very Pelosi-ish of Nancy.

As a convert to the Catholic faith in 2008, I profess to a v-e-r-y different Catholic faith than that of Nancy Pelosi.

Do Catholics excommunicate anyone anymore? If not why not? Are there no more heretics or apostates?

      • pupsncats

One excommunicates themselves when they are not faithful or deny the true teachings of the Catholic Church. Catholics are not the billion members of the church of Pelosi/”pope” Francis. These church members are not Catholics. They belong to the Vatican II church which was invented in the 1960′s. Those of us who believe and practice the Catholic faith worship in a limited number of places and do not receive nor want any support from the heretics of the Vatican II church.

I wish the Bishops had the guts to excommunicate far-Left Democrats like Pelosi, who favor not only the destruction of real marriage but abortion on demand.

    • Vicar

The Holy Roman Emperor Barbarossa was excommunicated.
      Why not Nancy Pelosi?
If as Clausewitz says “war is politics by other means”, what about the converse?
Is politics war by other means?
Think about what that means. Certainly not all politics is war, but cannot politics be considered war often times. There are the spoils of war and the political spoils after an election. By the time political factions send mobs after you (Occupy or bussing people to people’s houses), would you not consider it war?
A person could easily think of Pelosi as a warrior and she is warring against the Church. So why not excommunicate here. All excommunication means is that you are not in communion. That church elders have decided that the people of the church should not “free associate with” (commune) a person like Pelosi because of her actions and exhortations to others.
If the church elders did not excommunicate her, the rank and file could. all they have to do is give her the cold shoulder, not speak to her, vacate the premises when she attempt to engage with others in the church.
      This should be done.

      • DB1954

Why not Pelosi? Because the American bishops have no balls.

    • DB1954

The Catholic Bishops are too busy right now setting up the Catholic network of “caring” foster families to care for the thousands of central American children arriving each day on the southwest border. Obama engineered this coup. It’s called de facto amnesty, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.

      • http://www.stubbornthings.org NAHALKIDES

I can only suggest we force House Republicans to toe the line, and then if we hold both the Presidency and Congress in 2017, let the deportations begin.

    • pupsncats

The “bishops” you speak of have excommunicated themselves from the true Catholic Church and serve the heretical Vatican II church. They are no more bishops of the Catholic Church than Pelosi is a conservative.

  • Demo P. Seal; PouponMarks

Sorry, but baptists? not going to happen here.

  • mendezjb

Nancy Pelosi is about as Catholic as I am Muslim.

Which is to say, not at all.

If a person called themselves a devout muslim/jew, but believed in the divinity of Christ, they would not be devout muslims or jews. To say otherwise is to butcher the english language

  • DB1954

Pelosi is almost as arrogant as Obama.

  • uleaveuswithnoalternative

Gee, what happened to the separation of church and state?
If the Archbishop caves into Nancy Pelosi’s demands, Catholics please stop contributing your hard earned money to the church.
Email, write or call your bishops, archbishops and the Pope.
    Do NOT remain silent.

  • pupsncats

    Totally agree.

  • pupsncats

Hey Nancy. If the Archbishop were to join in the Gay Pride Parades, would you also protest that? After all, don’t these events “show hate and disdain for God and for those who believe him when he revealed sodomy is an abomination to him?”

Another demonstration that being a progressive means that you’ve become immune to cognitive dissonance. (Scientologists eat your hearts out.)
