New York Cops Won’t Protect De Blasio Voters from Criminals

This is getting ugly and getting ugly fast. Even relations with Dinkins didn’t go down this fast.

Walking past cops working an area where Garner/Brown marchers would be going through, I overheard conversations about New York’s new leftist mayor and I doubt there were two words in a dozen of them that I could print.

Mayor Bill de Blasio acts more like the leader of “a f- -king revolution” than a city, police union president Pat Lynch said at a recent delegate meeting.

“He is not running the City of New York. He thinks he’s running a f- -king revolution,” said Lynch, head of the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, during the private gathering in Queens last Friday.

Lynch, who was secretly recorded, also all but ordered a rule-book slowdown, according to the seven-minute tape obtained by Capital New York.

“If we won’t get support when we do our jobs . . . then we’re going to do it the way they want it,” Lynch said. “Let me be perfectly clear: We will use extreme discretion in every encounter.”

Lynch, when referring to de Blasio, encouraged members to be wary of what he called “enemies.” “Our friends, we’re courteous to them. Our enemies, extreme discretion,” he said. “The rules are made by them to hurt you. Well, now we’ll use those rules to protect us.

Before De Blasio won, I told privileged lefties who had forgotten what the city was like before Giuliani what was going to be coming their way. The Village Voice attacked me for writing it and accused me of being vindictive.

No more fascist cops hassling “innocent” people. Bill de Blasio won’t put up with any of that. De Blasio will put the cops in their place, inside a Dunkin Donuts and away from people. They’ll still get paid. They’re in a union. They just won’t lift a finger to help you because they’ll have more special monitors and civilian complaint review boards on their necks than they can handle.

And next time one of the innocent victims of Stop and Frisk is pounding your face into the sidewalk with one hand while digging through your pockets with the other, wave to the pair of beat cops sitting in the window of the coffee shop. And they’ll wave back without getting up. Because you voted for this. And you’re getting what you deserve.

There you go. Enjoy your extreme discretion.

    Thank you, Daniel.

  • Mongo66

WoW! Now I commend him for his honesty, but I can’t believe he actually said it. Good for him, and he is 110% right. Why should a cop risk his life if all it will do is wind up ruining his life and career?

  • Hard Little Machine

The rich uberclass will start using their own private security. Which is hysterically funny.

    • UCSPanther

The only people who will be able to protect themselves will be those who can hire mercs to do security detail or those in rural areas who are armed to the teeth.

Reminds me of Rome in its last days. No wonder so many Roman citizens chose to join the Visigoth King Alaric I in the sacking of Rome rather than make a stand against him and his people…

Prophets have never been appreciated, Daniel, but never less than when the audience is the Left. They hate you for being right. It’s their terminal problem with truth. They just can’t deal with reality and maintain their delusions at the same time, so they choose delusions. You are their worst nightmare.

  • CosmotKat

Daniel, Thanks for your courage to write the truth and expose the corrupt. I am sure the voters of NYC will find out just how much unfettered socialism will help them as muggers “pound their faces into the pavement while they dig in their pockets.”

    • JDinSTL

      They’ll blame Republicans

  • truebearing

The cops shouldn’t protect criminals from other criminals.

  • EileenRight

How can anyone think they can speak candidly anymore without the fear of being recorded?

  • http://libertyandculture.blogspot.com/ Jason P

Now, now, Daniel. They won’t just wave back from a Dunking Donut shop … they’ll give the perp a desk ticket and explain that he must show up at the police station. Of course, without ID (sorry, officer but my wallet was stolen) they’ll have to accept the name the suspect gives. They may even given the victim a ticket to make it a level playing field. Come to think of it, they’ll be prohibited from deciding which is the suspect and which is the victim … that’s for a jury to decide … or Al Sharpton.

Now, isn’t that going to keep us safe?

  • donqpublic

Yeah, and I would start by not enforcing the laws prohibiting curbside loose cigarette sales. Let private security, the rent a cops, take on the liability: I’m sure “Vito” from the neighborhood merchants association will break a leg or two, no questions asked.

  • Libslayer

Pat Lynch should grant hizzoner his wish.
Announce very publicly that the three block area surrounding Gracie Mansion will be a “cop-free zone” until further notice.

  • Daniel

Liberals deserve no police protection…..OR….military protection either.
They criticize both from a position of self righteous narcissism. I say we should serve them up on a platter to their righteous Muslim “freedom fighters”.
A few years ago, I posted something about how I don’t care if Al Qaeda vaporizes NYC on its third try if New Yorkers want to continue with their Muslim appeasement.
AND…..I’m still a little bit pissed that decent, everyday Americans died saving the US Congress from that plane headed for the Capitol that went down in a Pennsylvania cornfield.
The day is coming for the liberal and the politician.
Come on out to Wyoming USA……..I’ll be happy to explain it to any and all doubters.

“He is not running the City of New York. He thinks he’s running a f- -king revolution,”

Well, that can be said for about anyone in the “party of government”. Or, any revolutionary, such as the Muslim Brotherhood.

All they want to do is to do what THEY want to do. Administering bores them. They want to change things. They couldn’t care less about tending to their constituents.

The Palestinian Authority hasn’t lifted a finger to attract tourists or commerce into Palestine, as much as I can tell. A McDavid’s (A Kosher McDonald’s variation they have in Israel), or what ever the halal equivalent is, is simply out of the question. (Apparently the only merchants in the PA are merchants of death.)

As Glen Beck used to point out on his TV show, there’s not a lot of difference between America’s left and the Islamists.

  • objectivefactsmatter

Unions try to coopt communist movements and sentiments. That’s why they’re outraged when some idiot comes along and gets elected only actually try to foment revolution.

  • His Excellency

Warren Wilhelm, Jr. (that’s the mayor’s real name) is the worst mayor NYC has had so far. He is trying to undermine the rule of law with his “social justice” policies.

  • Debbie Gaudet

Why not strike, and let DeBlasio deal with the protesters himself. Let all the trash on the street commit crime at will.

  • JDinSTL

Evidence simply does not matter to progressives

    • Libslayer

Quite understandable, considering that “evidence” is merely another oppressive tool of white privilege. ; )

This is a tragic situation, I think the people of New York should be very concerned, you need to support the Police who are doing their jobs. (Assasinating Cops who are trying to keep minorities safe will create a mob rule state.) The Mayor has supported the criminals over the police. Be aware that when you vote for criminal elements, lawlessness and chaos will ensue, you may not be able to get to work, or across town without being in these riots or protests, People will not want to visit New York with this kind of activity, bringing down their revenues. Rudy Giuliani supported the Police, and Firemen, and made sure the city worked on crime and creating a safe city….he was an outstanding Mayor. Two Cops, One Oriental, and One Hispanic were killed, its the war on Law Enforcement.
