NYPD: De Blasio Turned His Back On Us Before We Turned Our Backs on Him

While Bill de Blasio has been trying to pretend that his endorsement of racist anti-police protesters had nothing to do with the murder of two NYPD police officers by one of the protesters, the police know better.

John Cardillo has this photo of a sky banner being flown referencing the moment when police at the hospital turned their backs to De Blasio during his visit. And a statement from an unofficial coalition of NYPD people.

“As a large and unified group of current and retired NYC Police Officers, Detectives, & Supervisors, we are outraged by the mayor’s incendiary rhetoric, and for facilitating the current hostile climate towards the NYPD. We understand that the department and even our own unions can only go so far in their public condemnation of the mayor as to not irreparably damage the working relationship with the city, or future contract negotiations.

It is our opinion that Mayor deBlasio’s dangerous and irresponsible comments about his and his wife’s concern for their son’s safety at the hands of the NYPD fueled the flames that led to civil unrest, and potentially to the deaths of PO Wenjian Liu and PO Rafael Ramos, as well as the continued threats against NYPD personnel. The Mayor shows us no respect, and encourages the public to follow his lead.

Mayor deBlasio clearly doesn’t understand nor care that every man and woman of the NYPD would give their life to protect his son, his family, and every other resident of New York City. Tragically, two of our Finest made that ultimate sacrifice days before Christmas.

We no longer have confidence in Mayor deBlasio, nor in his ability to lead New York City and promote the values that both the NYPD and the good law abiding citizens of the city hold dear. Mayor deBlasio turned his back on us long before we turned our backs on him. “

That’s an important point that needs to be made. The media has been portraying the police response out of context, trying to isolate Pat Lynch, and accuse the police of “politicking” the killings. (No such accusation was made when they were politicizing Garner’s death.)

This didn’t begin with police rhetoric. It began with the rhetoric and policies of Bill de Blasio and his associates.

Leftists don’t just destroy everything that is good, they don’t even understand how they did it.

Imagine another scenario. Let’s say Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is acquitted on a technicality of the Boston Marathon jihadist attack. Imagine demonstrators protesting against Muslims (without qualification), speakers talking about Muslim attacks and a culture of violence, etc. Picture the mayor of Boston saying his son, Dante, shutters when he sees a woman in a burqa whenever he walks down the street. Imagine a splinter group marches down a side street chanting “What do we want? Dead Muslims.”

Would there be any media charges of bigotry or would they talk about a problem that has to be redressed? Would that mayor condemn the calls for vigilante killings or would those chants go unreported aside from Fox? Would the mayor be praised for identifying with victims of the jihadist attacks by discussing his sensitive son?

Now let’s say, God-forbid, a crazed psychotic pushes some poor Muslim-looking mom in front of a bus … would we see Newsday writing editorials arguing that this nut-job isn’t one of the protestors and has nothing to do with the counter-jihadi network?

    Imagine!

Well, if I were running the police union in NYC I’d order a slow down and even a stand down in those neighborhoods where resides the political class and rich who enjoy dabbling in radical chic politics. And I’d order that the cops cool their heels in the warrens from where all the crime emanates. That way those who protest the cops’ presence in their war zones are free to prey on who they wish, meaning each other, and the thin-blue line separating those warrens from the upper crust are removed. It will be only a matter of a short time before the pillaging hordes learn it is open season among the moneyed class.

I would however, place extra policing emphasis on middle and working class neighborhoods. Those places peopled by normal, police appreciating Americans who work, obey the law and are squeezed between the dysfunctional below and their wealthy, leftist enablers above.

That way all the trendy and hip liberals who like to strike poses about being down with the struggle from afar while enjoying protection from it will come to learn what it all really means.

And what it all really all means is the difference between civilization and savage barbarism. It’s about time the elites and political class get a taste of the medicine they prescribe for the rest of us.

During the Michael Brown incident, very little was reported about what happened in Chicago that very same week….over 70 people were shot, I forget how many died…probably around 10…Very little was reported about this fact. Inner city gun violence is responsible for THOUSANDS of deaths each year, and as former Mayor Guilani said, over 90% of these are black on black murders or attempted murders. The number of police shooting blacks is but a tiny fraction….. ….but Sharpton and others refuse to acknowledge this or comment on it.

RIP officers Liu and Ramos…..so sorry for your families.

Hopefully new yorkers will come to their senses in the next election. Hopefully the republicans will actually field a strong candidate.

New Yorkers come to their senses?
      You believe that’s possible?
David…..I hope you don’t live in NYC.
Because its going to be destroyed by ISIS with the help of De Blasio/Obama.

Interesting that Hillary; who campaigned for her kindred spirit, communist De Blasio; has not been called to publicly comment of the ‘state’ of New York. . .and the disaster unfolding, thanks to De Blasio. (Talk about ‘controlled’ Media albeit; and clearly; just not ‘self-controlled’.)
