Obama Is Fighting w/Reid and Biden

It’s a sad state of affairs when Joe Biden appears to have more patience and diplomatic skills than the guy who kept billing himself as a reasonable apolitical common sense guy.

President Obama and Vice President Biden might not see eye-to-eye on immigration strategy. A hint of an apparent disagreement was on display during Obama’s lunch with congressional leaders on Friday at the White House.

“The meeting was tense at times, according to a senior House Republican aide. The aide was not authorized to describe the back-and-forth publicly by name and spoke only on condition of anonymity,” the Associated Press reports.

“Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid, about to lose his grip on the upper chamber, barely said a word. The aide said at one point as House Speaker John Boehner was making an argument on immigration, Obama responded that his patience was running out and Vice President Joe Biden interrupted to ask how long Republicans needed. Obama angrily cut Biden off, the aide said.”

Obama is making it clear that he’s not even going to bother playing out a GOP bill beyond a few basic formalities. He lost and now he has nothing to lose and is moving full speed ahead for amnesty.

Biden, for all his obnoxious habits, spent enough time in Congress that he understands negotiating with the other side. Obama spent very little time in Congress. He doesn’t know how to negotiate and doesn’t bother. He has only two modes. Appeasement and abuse. It’s very Middle Eastern in a way. He’s either appeasing you or stepping all over you.

    Forget ‘Impeachment’.
Now is the time to send a team of U.S. Marshalls into the White House to cuff, shackle, perp-walk Obama outside into a waiting van where they’ll take him to prison awaiting trial for treason. The amnesty cannot be allowed to proceed.

(Unfortunately,) we couldn’t even expect a decent military coup, what with The Dear Leader having already purged any of the brass with balls. Where’s General Pinochet when you need him?

      • Ken Abbott

Dead, as of 10 December 2006.

The question is will the Democrats get rid of Mr. Obama to save their party, or will it will go down with him.

    • joe kulak

I don’t care, as long as we don’t go down with them.

I was wondering the same thing. In my opinion, it’s not improbable that the big money puppet-masters behind the Progressive movement have some serious dirt on Obama, an insurance policy of sorts. Think about it: He consorted with terrorists and spent over 20 years in a black supremacist church, yet the media barely batted an eye. A white candidate with a similar resume would have been crucified, especially a Republican. His aforementioned transgressions were there for anyone to see, yet he got away with it. I believe that there are even deeper, darker secrets that could be used against him to force a resignation for “health” reasons, or some other pretext. I’m not saying it’s likely, but it is possible. I mean, this clown is the most self-destructive politician I’ve ever seen, and even his past staunch defenders are starting to turn on him. If their own power is threatened, politicians will “eat their own,” as the old saying goes.

One can safely assume that some people hold the key to Mr.
Obama’s meteoric ascent and may some day make use of it – if it benefits them, of course. Everything is possible with this kind of mafia politics.

The time to do that was four years ago when he started throwing his own party under the bus. Too little too late they along with all the willfully ignorant voters are responsible for the damage he has caused.

The Left won’t impeach him. That couldn’t be blamed on the Right. They would more likely set up an assassination that could be blamed on “rightwing terrorists.” If they can’t find a crisis, invent one. That would stop the nation’s movement to the Right and give new impetus to banning guns. Of course, the assassin would use a legally purchased AR-15.

Uh oh! Time for a beer summit!

Let Obama continue down his road. With any luck he will drag the left down with him. The good ol’ boys in the Democratic Party know that Obama’s non-partisanship is bad for them. The far left, the progressives, don’t understand the good ol’ boys and will press on, hurting not only themselves but people like Reid, Pelosi, Boxer, Schumer, and all the others.

“It’s very Middle Eastern in a way. He’s (Obama) either appeasing you or stepping all over you” – DG.

‘Middle eastern way’? Obama is not from the Middle east. Don’t you mean Muslim way… among whom we lowly infidels mean nothing.
Anyway, methinks there’s also the possibility that Biden might run for the White House in 2016, so has to keep his options open.

I think over the next two years that this president will cause more trouble for his party than Nixon and Carter combined. What will that look like in 2016? It might not be a bad thing for America.

Think about it: Much worse betrayal of trust than Nixon, much worse job performance than Carter. And nothing in the plus column to distract from his (and his party’s) failures.

And this is also clearly a case where the party fought for all of the wrong things, the whole time. This is DP overreach and I think they’re going to pay for it big time. Many can see it happening already and want off the sinking ship.

  • De Doc

Obama really comes off as a wanna be Banana Republic dictator with these stories.

  • SoCalMike

Abuse or appease perfectly sums up this petulant amateur.

  • Una Salus

Biden needs to remember he’s dealing with the “smartest” president in American history.
