Obama Makes it Easier for Syrians, Harder for Israelis to Enter US

al-Nusra-Front

Obama has his priorities in order. He’s making it easier for Syrians with terrorist ties to enter the United States. And he’s making it harder for young Israelis.

The Obama administration is quietly making it easier for people with tangential connections to terror groups to receive refugee status or asylum in the United States.

Barack Obama’s administration announced on Wednesday that it had eased some immigration rules to allow more of the millions of Syrians forced from their homes during the country’s three-year civil war to come to the United States.

The rules changes granted exemptions on a case by case basis to the “material support” bar in U.S. immigration law, according to an announcement in the Federal Register signed by Secretary of State John Kerry and Jeh Johnson, the Secretary of Homeland Security.

That bar had made it impossible for anyone who had provided any support to armed rebel groups to come to the United States, even if the groups themselves receive aid from Washington.

Two new exemptions to the Immigration and Nationality Act published in the Federal Register Wednesday by the Departments of Homeland Security and State mean that who provided “insignificant” or “limited” material support for terror groups will no longer be automatically denied eligibility from asylum or refugee status.

What’s a little material support for terrorists between pals anyway? So long as none of the Israelis get in.

According to Schumer, this unofficial policy has been in place for 2-3 years, and has been extended to include not just Israelis who are seeking to travel after completing their compulsory military service, but also to include all Israeli nationals who are of student age. According to State, the Israel visa refusal rate for Fiscal Year 2013 was 9.7%. This is up from a refusal rate of 5.4% in Fiscal Year 2012 and as low as 2.5% in 2007.

When my staff asked your staff why this arbitrary policy toward Israel was in place, we were informed that the State Department is concerned that these young Israeli nationals were going to violate the terms of their visas by, for example, selling Dead Sea cosmetics at shopping malls across the United States. Needless to say, even if there is a concern that a small segment of a group will violate their visas, this is no reason to have a policy of presumptively denying visas for an entire group of foreign nationals from one of our most important allies and global partners in the world.

I don’t think you can overstate the national security threat of selling Dead Sea cosmetics in shopping malls. It’s not something minor like helping Al Qaeda.

It’s Dead Sea cosmetics. They’re probably lethal.

Obama lifted the HIV immigration ban in 2009. He’s pushing hard to legalize millions of illegal aliens. He has unilaterally and illegally legalized large numbers of younger illegal aliens.

Last year Obama ended post 9/11 visa restrictions on Saudi Arabia. But no one can accuse him of a lack of vigilance and concern for national security as long as he keeps Israelis out of America.

Good. Israelis need to make broader connections in the world. We have become far too dependent on the US.

And this will finally make happy those Americans who are tired of a pro Israel government approach. Now they can have all the immigrants they truly want. Millions of cannibalistic Syrians. I am sure it will work out very well.

As a bonus, many Jews may finally realize it is time to go home. We will get the honorable pro Israel Jews who have the cleverness and strong will to see the future and realize it, and the anti Semites will finally get the Jew free paradise they endlessly bitch and whine about. Win win!

As for our friends, hunker down, invest abroad (primarily in Israel, you wouldn’t believe what they are doing here), be patient, and soon enough the country will go back into your hands. God will reward you, your children will stand tall. They may even be the only children left in the States by the time those maniacs have finished committing suicide.

Get a second passport just in case, because it is going to be rough.

I wasn’t sure about Israel’s visas but I knew about the other end for years.

Non-Muslims fleeing jihadis are also demoted in terms of priorities all over the globe, not just Syria. Non-Muslims requesting visas are viewed with suspicion by US embassies. It’s the reverse of any rational policy.

As SC remarks, the sun is over the yard arm and the clink of ice on a cool drink is called for whilst one mulls over the state of the planet.

Not sure why Obama would want more jihadis but it certainly suits the NRA and them thar folks with loadsa money in bombs.

Who brought down Flight 307 is going to be an ongoing discussion for the next few years. Do you trust your government to share the facts? Do you trust their findings? What do they know so far? Ha! You’re Muppets. They don’t give a toss about your safety aloft. They care only about their foreign investments. Malaysia will do the ‘investigating’ and we will know whatever they determine is good for us. The relatives are disintigrating, but that’s of no consequence in the ‘big picture’.

Drop your pants and bend over. It’s in the interest of your country’s security.

        1. Who is SC?

        2. As a member of the NRA I can assure you we only want law abiding citizens.

        3. I know dozens of people in China. I am sure the Chinese government wants to find out. There are more ways to find out that what is published in the lapdog press (NYT, WaPo, etc).

        4. Sounds like the Bag Lady is angry. You are quite busy with your needling. This is good.

      • A Z

        5. It is kind of hard to run a business, when your sales people, engineers, accountants and other get blown up by terrorists. I think Malaysia and China want to find the people blowing up the plane. Sure there is a lot of unemployment. Yet at the same time technical jobs have gone wanting.

An investigation finding terrorism gives the Chinese government a justification for beating the HeII out of the jihadis.

Dead Sea cosmetics are illegal – why? Now is this the US going to ban all people that might import illegal materials from the EU – thus blocking all Eurotrash?

Isn’t it one of the commodities ‘mined’ in disputed waters and undergoing Western scrutiny with regard to future trade embargoes? Just asking.

Obama is building up the coalition of brownskins that will make up the loyal supermajority that will keep his party, or him, in power. If nothing else, he will have created a very big problem for the country when his term is over, or he is drug out by his heels. Terrorists will be everywhere. The FBI, CIA, DHS, etc will have all been compromised. Mayhem could easily ensue.

Now we are seeing the true Obama. His poll numbers tell him and his handlers that the revolution is at critical stage. If they don’t consolidate power, a wave of anti-Left populism could sweep the nation and run them out of all but the most corrupt precincts. Investigations and prison could follow. They know the crimes they have committed and they know we know. They also know that the suffering and premature deaths they are causing with Obamacare will enrage Americans of all political stripes. They will force a constitutional crisis and probably a civil war before they give up power.

Illegal aliens can vote because there is no voter ID thanks to the Democrats. Obama knows they will vote Democrat. Obama’s power is more important to Obama than our safety.

I must away to the kitchen but, before I go Daniel, might I suggest that the two scenarios are not related. Let us take each on its own merits.

I happen to be something of an expert when it comes to young Israeli travellers. I have known thousands, shared temporary homes with many and count an handful as my dear friends.

Firstly, I take my hat off to the Israeli government for taking such good care of its kids all around the world. No other country goes to such lengths to provide a safety net for its starry eyed young adventurers.

The question is: how do these young people present themselves to the rest of the world when they go through their rite of passage? How popular are they when they turn up in their gangs?

Let’s do it gently. Here is the Indian view for starters. Later we can move to South America and later North America…..Africa if you like.

Please note that the underlying message in this report is that Israel itself wishes to curtail the movement of its young people and may just have an hidden hand in the visa business that hits us all from time to time as governments reciprocate perceived slights and the innocent traveller pays the price on the border.

I’m well aware that Israelis traveling between the army and settling down can be pests. Many of them are blowing off steam and trying to figure their lives out, but immigration and tourism policy has to be viewed in context.

When you’re making it easier for people with terror ties to enter, but cracking down elsewhere, one must be weighed against another.

  • Lou Hodges

Well, Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell have made it pretty comfortable in Kentucky. They’re driving school busses all over Louisville. Of course, they’re crashing them at an alarming rate. Would you let your child ride on a school bus driven by a potential terrorists, who may or may not bring them back?

  • Habbgun

Hey, these terrorists are getting priority over Christian refugees from Moslem oppression so how Israelis are treated on a visa is a secondary concern. If America won’t worry about Christians it certainly won’t worry about Jews.

  • BagLady

He who drops the egg into the mixing bowl from a very great height should clean up the flour.

If you can say, with hand on heart, that the US has not interfered in Syria, then I would agree with you about easing visa restrictions on the asylum seekers. However, it would appear that the CIA and various other secretive American/EU security forces have been very active in the area and, in my opinion, these countries have a moral obligation to assist the injured starving masses that they helped to create.

  • Parsley

Don’t agree with Obama on much, but beyond happy to learn the visas of Israeli Mossad agents and “young people” are being denied.

About time we separate our national security from Israel’s.

  • Parsley

Also, in regard to the “young people” does this have anything to do with the young couple picked-up in NYC with bomb making supplies and the questions surrounding their soft-handed treatment?
