Obama Only Gets Angry When the Media Criticizes Him

There’s a thin line between love and hate. Especially for a narcissist.

Retired ABC correspondent Ann Compton opened up about Obama to C-SPAN’s Brian Lamb, who notes that the President usually keeps his cool but occasionally “give[s] us hell.” On two occasions, both of them off the record, Compton tells Lamb that Obama went off on “profanity-laced” tirades over what he thought was unfair treatment from the media.

“I have seen in the last year Barack Obama really angry twice. Both were off the record times. One, profanity-laced where he thought the press was making too much of scandals that he did not think were scandals. Another where he took us to task for not understanding the limits he has with foreign policy and the way he’s dealing with the Middle East and Iraq, and Afghanistan. And I don’t find him apologetic.”

Of course.

The One doesn’t apologize. That’s for mere mortals. He probably only found out about his own profanity laden tirades from the media.

Which media coverage of scandals got Mr. Hope and Change so worked up? Veterans being killed by the VA? That’s about the only scandal the media provided any real coverage of. Ebola was more recent and the media quickly shifted into cover-up mode. The IRS scandal hardly got covered.

So was Obama really screaming and cursing over coverage of the VA waiting lists? He’s self-centered enough for that and worse.

A spoiled brat acts like a spoiled brat. So where’s the story?

    • Bamaguje

He’s gotten used to being pampered by the sycophantic lamestream media.

What is this “off the record” rubbish? If the president of this country goes off on journalists who are asking questions, that is news. He forfeits the right to “off the record” comments when that happens. The problem is that journalists are intimidated by the threat that they will be closed out of they report the what they see and hear.

    • Bamaguje

“Off the record” is quite convenient for the sycophantic pro-Obama media.
If Obama were a White Republican, a leftist reporter would have gotten one of his tirades on the record… on tape, and embarrassed the president with it in the media.
Remember how Romney was caught on tape in private discussion about the parasitic 47%.

      • Boogie’s Daddy

That was 37% and if you look at polls since then the die-hard Obama fanatics poll at around that number on a regular basis.
        is Obama qualified: 37%
        on the right course: 37%
        should nuke GOP headquarters: 37%

Why did the media agree to off the record meetings? The media is all about on the record, or at least it is supposed to be. After the first time, you’d think they would know what was coming and refuse to attend. It’s not like they are part of the Obama administration.

The obsequious fools probably felt honored to get berated by Obama. What a falling off there has been in our watchdog of the government.

“It’s not like they are part of the Obama administration.”? Let me ask, how would they have acted any differently the past six years if they were a part of the administration?

hes gotten unfair coverage alright, just not the way he thinks. Anyone else would have been tossed out for half the crap he’s pulled.

  • Hard Little Machine

This actually surprises me. Obama is a lazy disconnected paranoid autocrat. One would think he simply naturally assumes that the world revolves around him to do his bidding. The fact that he believes that the press which is 90% licking his shoes is somehow his enemy brings new light to the depths of his megalomania.

  • MrUniteUs1

Let he who has never been angry about media coverage cast the first stone.

  • SoCalMike

It should be amazing that the press in a free society mimic the state press in totalitarian societies but it isn’t anymore.
The media false prophets sold us this fraud and continue to cover for him instinctively.
