Obama’s Worst Lie About his Dirty Castro Deal is in his First Sentence

obama-castro

Usually you have to get at least two sentences into an Obama speech to find a whopper so  big that McDonald’s wouldn’t be able to figure out what to charge for it. Not this time. Instead the worst lie in Obama’s Cuba speech was in his very first sentence.

“Today, the United States of America is changing its relationship with the people of Cuba,” Obama said.

No, nope. Still no.

Cuban is run by the Castro thugs. There is no democratically elected government. Obama did not make a deal with the elected representatives of the Cuban people.

He made a deal with the Castro crime family.

The people of Cuba have no say in how they live. They have no say in how they are governed. They have no say in their relationship with the United States except to flee by boat. Which many of them have done.

That opening sentence is the slimiest lie in Obama’s series of lies about his dirty deal with the Castros. It’s the slimiest lie because with it Obama makes the explicitly false claim that Raul Castro represents the Cuban people.

It’s an endorsement of the Communist dictatorship.

“There’s a complicated history between the United States and Cuba. I was born in 1961 — just over two years after Fidel Castro took power in Cuba, and just a few months after the Bay of Pigs invasion, which tried to overthrow his regime,” Obama said, as usual making it all about him.

The phrasing of his speech actually makes the case that the history involved doesn’t matter because it took place before Obama was born.

This is disturbingly egocentric even for Obama.

“Neither the American nor the Cuban people are well-served by a policy that’s rooted in events that took place before many of us were born,” Obama states.

Regardless of when Obama was born, the regime he just made a deal with it is still the same one as then. That concept seems to elude Obama’s narcissistic grasp of history.

“First, I’ve instructed Secretary (of State John) Kerry to immediately begin discussions with Cuba to re-establish diplomatic relations that have been severed since January of 1961. Going forward, the United States will re-establish an embassy in Havana, and high-ranking officials will visit Cuba.”

I’m sure Hanoi John will be thrilled.

“Second, I’ve instructed Secretary Kerry to review Cuba’s designation as a state sponsor of terrorism. This review will be guided by the facts and the law. Terrorism has changed in the last several decades. At a time when we are focused on threats from al-Qaida to ISIL, a nation that meets our conditions and renounces the use of terrorism should not face this sanction.”

Marxist terrorist groups haven’t disappeared and some of them interact with Islamic terrorist groups.

Step three involves bailing out the collapsing Castro regime by sending lots and lots of money to Cuba.

No, really. Here’s Obama.

Third, we are taking steps to increase travel, commerce, and the flow of information to and from Cuba…  it will be easier for Americans to travel to Cuba, and Americans will be able to use American credit and debit cards on the island… we’re significantly increasing the amount of money that can be sent to Cuba…  we will facilitate authorized transactions between the United States and Cuba. U.S. financial institutions will be allowed to open accounts at Cuban financial institutions…  it will be easier for U.S. exporters to sell goods in Cuba…

But Obama respects the embargo. No really.

As these changes unfold, I look forward to engaging Congress in an honest and serious debate about lifting the embargo.

Unilateral dictatorship is not an honest and serious debate.

  • SCREW SOCIALISM

Obama hit the bottom, then began digging deeper with this stab in the back of the Cuban people.

The Castro family socialist dictatorship started in 1959 – and no one else can be trusted to lead the “workers paradise”.

No free elections that don’t have a Castro winning in a landslide.

    • John Pallyswine

The Rockefeller crime family demanded that their pet CIA make sure it happened. Cuba was a great place before. A big theat to the USA commercial interests. Or so was the prevailing thought.

Is there a country in this world the Anglo/American axis of evil has not ruined?

      • cree

        Your brainwashing was pretty effective.

      • JR Kipling

In 1959 Cuba has the highest standard of living in Latin America. There was a large middle class. enormous personal wealth . And the Cuban Economy was growing at 3% a year. Fulgencio Batista was such a bad buy that the total death count of the Castro forces
during the Revolution was…wait for it…ready? 21 dead. On the other hand Che Guevara killed 7000 Cubans in his private La Cabanas prison his first year in power. So much for the “liberation of the people ” narrative.

      • JR Kipling

Go to You Tube. Google “Havana 1950s”. What do you see.? See the new cars? See the streets teaming with shoppers? See the beautiful colonial architecture? See the tourists? See the restaurants? See the Cubans putting up new buildings?.. See the casinos…..casinos are bad..right? Except they are full of Cubans
with so much money they can afford to go to them. Now Google Havana Today…come back and tell us what you see.

      • truebearing

What are you talking about…or do you know? Cuba was never a threat to the US until Castro became a Soviet proxy.

More and more, non-Americans ( troglodytes i know) look at America as an ugly ball of confusion that will bend over to any ruler anytime for a buck.

  • Yehuda Levi

Once again, instead of ‘consulting’ with Congress, Obama prefers the executive branch dictatorship approach. After all, he knows better than Congress anyway.

He expects Congress to rubber stamp his actions, but whether they do or not, his actions eliminates the embargo. I agree with Greenfield that the date of his birth has nothing to do with our relationship with Cuba, only his ego.

All hail King Barack Hussein Obama.

    • dwayne roberson

Why would we need Congress? We’ve got Barack Obama.

  • halevi

Through this deal, maybe we can get American leftists to permanently emigrate to Cuba. Hey, I just thought of something else. Maybe Obama is preparing for his retirement and will be moving to Cuba after his term is up. Now that would make this a good deal.

    • truebearing

      If only.

Why yeah. Would beat that capitalist Hawaii; and Gitmo for Pearl Harbor, no big deal anymore; will likely be empty by the One’s releasing them all, anyway.

  • Hard Little Machine

He’s desperate for a legacy, any legacy so a million more illegal Hispanics, this time from Cuba, washing ashore is as good as any. Because I really don’t see more than a trickle of US people and dollars and investment going there. It will all be the other way. The Castros will buy up big swaths of Miami and then tell all their people to emigrate there.

  • GSR

With the never ending stream of Latinos (Hispanics if you prefer) coming to the USA, the end game is that every town in the USA will resemble Tijuana. But the libs and progs and neocons and libertarians and moderates are all for mass immigration. So it will be.

  • truebearing

Obama had to do something. Leftist nations are collapsing and he can’t let that happen. Venezuela is collapsing, thanks to that good old American ingenuity — that Obama hates — called fracking. The Maduro regime is being propped up with Cuban soldiers, but Cuba can’t afford it, so here comes Obama to the rescue of South American Communism. Save Cuba, save Venezuela. This isn’t the Monroe Doctrine. It’s a hybrid between The Berlin Airlift, The Monroe Doctrine, and The Marshall Plan, only this time we’re coming to the aid of communists — one of our two greatest enemies and one of Obama’s two ideological soulless-mates.

    • camp7

Not to mention the luxury Cuban golf resort in Varadero.

  • truebearing

If he can strengthen Cuba, at our expense, he can possibly infuse enough capital into Cuba’s economy that they can then afford to prop up communism in Venezuela.

Ahhhh, the old Domino Effect…kind of! This will help perpetuate Obama’s utopian fantasy.

It’s that spread the wealth around thing. Who’s Margaret Thatcher? Run out of other people’s money? What? There is a lot more credit limit above only a measly 18 trillion. Socialists of the world unite!

as the TV commercials say; “But WAIT….there’s MORE.”
TWO more years that Comrade Obama can further sell out the US.

    Don’t forget Guantanamo;
I’m sure one of the first things Comrade Traitor will do for Cuba is return Gitmo to Cuban rule. Soon after,it will become a Russian naval base, with Russian air defense missile sites.(that have a range long enough to cover the lower half of Florida.) Russian naval ships will be carrying nuclear missiles, too.

Thank you Daniel: You hit the nail on the head. The Cuban people are just slaves on the Castro plantation. They are pawns in the Great Leader’s game …

“Does Obama ever get tired of making deals with the devil?”

How do you tell your father “no”?

  • ConcernedCitizen999

    That first sentence is priceless.

It should be remembered that when Khruschev snuck nuclear missiles into Cuba in ’62 it was Castro who was chomping at the bit to pull the trigger immediately and nuke as many Southern American cities as the missiles could reach, regardless of the consequences for America, or for Cuba, or for Russia. It was Khruschev who had to put Castro on a leash. It was that existential threat from Castro that accounts, in part, for the American policy towards a Communist Cuba whilst it was still enslaved by the Castros for the last fifty years.

Obama is like a fish out of water. It is Obama’s great misfortune to be a Communist revolutionary in an America without a Proletariat, and since Communist revolution is the only plan he knows, he must have a Proletariat, and since he doesn’t have one he must create one, by inciting his fellow African Americans, by bankrupting the country with debt, by driving up the unemployment rate, by shutting off energy production, by destroying the existing American order by empowering Islam, by importing a ready made proletariat from Mexico, and beyond, and by legitimizing and enlisting the help of his fellow Communist comrades, in Communist Cuba.

      This is a great post.
One of the best I’ve seen at FrontPage.
I wonder if there are people in our military who are having a Dietrich Bonhoeffer or Claus von Stauffenberg epiphany of desperation about stopping Obama.

Americans elected Obama, but he doesn’t represent Americans.
So this new Cuba-America love fest is really a deal between two tyrants.

  • herb benty

What gives here fellow Americans! Why does Mr. Obama come across as some power drunk Stalin, that just won the big one. Federalizing everything, whistling in 20-50 million leftist voters, preconditioned to fear the rightwing that may arrest them. Cozying up to and bowing to World Communism and Islam. Denying the mutually-beneficial Keystone XL Pipeline with Canada. Disappointing Poland and South East Europe by canceling the missle defence. Stalin may have been less damaging. Doesn’t this warrant some kind of treason? Should this President and his followers be removed….mid-term, by some provable reason. Ruining the opposition’s lives using bureaucrats, hamstringing the entire country using the EPA, Using, “Fast and Furious”, to help usher in gun control, denying the Benghazi Americans help, for dubious reasons. “Common Core”….teaches kids to not spell and do math correctly, evolution teaches kids that nothing REALLY matters, there are actually about 6 genders- not 2, Socialists are real tight-ass, up tight, control freaks. Marxists force their idea of living on everyone else, such as Obama, A Commie/Marxist is not eligible to be POTUS, he would have to lie while repeating the Oath.

    • Daniel

      It works just like this.
The Constitution is written on a piece of paper.
      Laws are written on paper.
If no one will stop you from violating the rule of law……..there is no law.

      • herb benty

That is not America though….or Canada either. Sounds like anarchy- no government. Good soil for a revolution….Progressive endgame?

        • Daniel

No…..I’m making a uniquely AMERICAN point.
You see….we are the only country on the face of the Earth that has a SECOND AMENDMENT.
          And therein lies the answer.

  • DVult

The whole story of Obama shows why affirmative action is a disaster. Incompetent people are promoted into positions for which they are unqualified and unprepared and then proceed to make a mess.

  • ConcernedCitizen999

By the way, I just started re-reading “The Naked Communist” by W. Cleon
Skousen. I’d almost forgotten what a very bright light Mr. Skousen shines on the pathological tin-foil-hat creators of Communism and on the very evil nihilistic fallacy-ridden pseudo-ideology that they dreamed up in their night terrors, night terrors that they’ve now managed to share with the whole world. Communism did not disappear with the collapse of the Soviet Union. It went underground and morphed and metastasized into something even more sinister and malignant. It infiltrated and subverted what used to be true American (and European and other) organizations, but which now, even though they look the same on the outside, have been hollowed out and rotted and turned on the inside into very real Communist existential threats to our very existence.

For a hard headed explanation of how irrational and evil Communism really
is, read “The Naked Communist” by W. Cleon Skousen.

And for a description of how horrifying Communism is in Action read “The
Red Terror in Russia” by Sergei Melgunov. See how Communism turned a whole country, Ukraine, into one big Bergen-Belsen-like concentration camp, and how it is still doing the same thing to other countries around the world, even to this very day.

If Comandante Obama is going to normalize relations with a country in the
grip of the pure evil system that Communism is, then rather than make it sound
like Communism is now just like any other kind of government (as he continues
to insist that Islam is just like any other kind of religion) then he should at
least make it clear that our eventual objective is to see that Communism is eventually eradicated from Cuba, from the Americas, from the face of the Earth… But I very much doubt that that is Obama’s intention.

Daniel, there were TWO whoppers in that first sentence alone:

“Today, the United States of America is changing its relationship with the people of Cuba.”

1.) NO, it’ wasn’t “the United States of America” changing it’s relationship, it was only Obama, by fiat as usual. And, like you said,

2.) It was only Obama planning to give American tax money to the Castro gang.
