Palestinian Arabs: “Yes We Want Peace, but Peace Means No Jews.”

free_palestine_means_kill_jews

Good news.

The Sunni Arab Muslims who rebranded themselves as “Palestinians” want peace. Absolutely. No question about it. But the Muslim definition of peace differs from the usual definition of peace. Peace in Islam is what happens once anyone different than you is dead or enslaved. It’s not compromise, but an end to fitna. Everyone is ruled by Muslims. There are no more chaos or dissent under Islam.

An Israel Radio reporter recently did random street in interviews in Arab neighborhoods of Jerusalem, where the responders echoed (in fluent Hebrew) Abbas’s characterization of Jews as contaminants.

“Things here will only improve,” argued one fellow, “after the Jews are gone. Yes we want peace, but peace means no Jews.”

Another bystander likewise recommended ethnic cleansing: “Go back to where you came from. Go to Russia, Germany, Poland – anywhere – just not here.”

But there were also kinder voices: “I really don’t like to say so,” remarked a solicitous sort, “but what was done to you in Germany, will be done to you here too.”

These are our peace partners. It’s spine chilling to hear such sentiments from ordinary taxi drivers and greengrocers.

That’s Islam. You can hear the same sentiments directed at Yazidis and Christians from the same exact Sunni Arab Muslims occupying Jerusalem, in Iraq and Syria. They’re the same people. They have the same xenophobic worldview.

There can be no peace with people whose idea of peace is genocide.

Just what about that clear and consistent message don’t Israelis understand?

    • Gee

We understand it – our left wing leadership even understands it. They just won’t do what we need them to do to allow us to defend ourselves.

      • Texas Patriot

Some of the nicest people I’ve ever met have been Jewish people, and I can understand how they might be hoping against hope that if they are nice enough to their neighbors, their neighbors will be nice to them. Normally that is probably a reasonable course of action that may work, but not where the neighbors in question are committed Islamic Jihadists who openly state in their charter that Israel has no right to exist and must be destroyed.

After 66 years, surely that inescapable reality is beginning to sink in, even among the most doctrinaire Leftists. Any clues on why there is not more of a ready willingness to take appropriate defensive measures to protect Israeli citizens from the consequences of violent Islamic Jihad?

What do you think it is? Denial? Masochism? Depression? Defeatism? Paralysis of will? Fear? It’s got to be something like that because it’s just not rational.

        • Earthling

          Dear Texas Patriot,
I have thought quite a bit about this myself. And what I have come up with is this: (By the way, I am a Jew.) The idea that the Arabs hate the Jews so much that no matter what the Jews do, the Arabs want to slaughter them is frightening not just because the hatred is so intense and irrational but that there is NOTHING the Jews can do to alleviate it. It is not based on an issue — such as a border or a specific issue. Just mindless hate. The need to feel that something can be done about this and fix it is a natural part of the normal Western mind. And so the Jews, both in Israel and the West search in vain for a way to fix it — retreat from Judea/Samaria, East Jerusalem, Gaza, whatever. None of it will or has done any good. Yet as Westerners, we cannot accept this. The alternative — to deal with it and remain strong — expel the fifth column, stop hiring them, etc. is difficult since all of these things were done to the Jews in the past and we don’t want to become like those who wronged us. Yet the situations are not the same. When Jews lived as a minority in Christian or Muslim lands, they did not try and destroy the countries. They didn’t go out and murder the general population. So the Israelis and American Jews keep trying to find a solution which will give them a sense of control in a situation in which they have no control. The search of course is in vain. But that won’t stop them from trying. That other Western nations, (the US, UK and EU) keep up the charade and place outrageous conditions on them adds significantly to the problem. That the other Western nations are in the same boat as Israel makes it doubly hard understand.

An excellent video to give one perspective is Bill Whittle’s video, “The Case for Israel.” The very existence of Israel is a reminder to the Arabs of what they have never been able to achieve and that their lofty visions of themselves as superior beings are just fiction. The existence of Jews and Israel is like a mirror to them in which they see their violent, chaotic, dysfunctional and backward society and the only reason they allow themselves to accept is that it is someone else’s fault — in this case, Israel. And if Israel were to disappear, you can bet the U.S. would be next in line.

          • Texas Patriot

As an outsider, a Christian from Texas, it is not so hard for me to see the causes of the implacable hatred that Israel;s neighbors seem to have for the Jewish people.

First, there is the issue of the teachings and life example of Muhammad and his followers. How can any Muslim fail to see that hatred of all non-Muslims, and especially Jews, is a central party of Islamic teachings. Normally, that would be enough by itself to explain the problem, but there is more.

Second, there is the ancient story about Arabs descending from Abraham’s son Ishmael, and Jews descending from Abraham’s son Isaac. There may be different accounts of how Ishmael and Isaac came to be born, but the idea of sibling rivalry has been around even longer than the story of Ishmael and Isaac. But even that’s not all, there is much more.

Third, with the collapse of the Islamic Caliphate after WWI, the Muslim faith was in a state of complete disarray, and it appeared as if the world was leaving Muslims behind in a headlong race to ever-increasing prosperity and scientific innovation and invention. From these desperate ashes of Islam, and as a result of the discrimination he himself suffered at the hands of Arab nationalists in Egypt, Sayyid Qutb laid the philosophical foundations of the Muslim Brotherhood and the modern resurgence of global Islamic Jihad we are seeing today, but even that is not enough to explain what has actually happened.

Fourth, beginning in the early part of the 20th Century, oil became the dominant economic driver of industrialized nations around the world, and a large part of known oil reserves existed in the Middle East. This has resulted in the largest peaceful transfer of wealth in the history of the world, and it has now been going on for more than a century. The concurrent surge in Arab pride resulting from a new appreciation of the philosophical roots of Islam which was being perpetuated by the Muslim Brotherhood, and the wild increase in prosperity throughout the Arab world, has resulted in a cultural and economic shift in the Middle East like nothing else in history. But even that is not the final link in the chain of causation.

Fifth, and finally, as if the Middle East was not already enough of a pressure cooker, the Zionist movement began in earnest in the late 19th Century, which eventually resulted in the creation of the State of Israel in 1948, and that was a direct affront to the Islamic doctrine that “once Muslim land, always Muslim land” and proof positive that instead of gaining ground, the newly resurgent Islam was in fact losing ground, was just the bit of kindling to start the bonfire of Islamic Jihad which has been burning with increasing intensity even to this day.

The truth of the matter is that these five factors have created a Perfect Storm of Hatred like the world has never seen. And the fact that everything that happens is now broadcast instantaneously around the world, has whipped the wind into a Hurricane of Hatred which truly defies the imagination.

So what is the answer? From my perspective Israel has to decide whether it wants to exist as a nation-state or not. If it does, it must take all actions to ensure its survival, including expelling committed Jihadists from its midst and responding to external Jihadist attacks by confiscating the lands from which the attacks came and expelling committed Jihadists from those lands as well. If Israel remains economically and technologically strong, there is no reason it can’t survive this storm just fine. In the process, who knows, Israel may actually serve to act as a buffer between the perpetually warring Shia and Sunni who have been constantly at war for the last 1400 years.

Unfortunately, the hatred of Israel and the Jewish people, by both the Shia and the Sunni will probably never go away. The most we can probably hope for is that eventually Muslims will get tired of losing more and more land because of their attacks on Israel, and they will give up the fight. Otherwise, they will eventually lose all of the land they have to fight from. In either case, Israel and the Jewish people will survive. So, good luck.

It has been a long tradition for Christians in the West to support their Jewish antecedents in the East, and I do not expect that to change. Now that most Christians in the East are rapidly being exterminated, the survival of the Jewish State of Israel may be the only chance that the birthplace of Jesus Christ does not fall into Muslim hands.

So my best wishes to you and yours. Don’t get discouraged, don’t give up, and don’t fall into the trap of hating those who hate you and want to destroy you. The fight for truth and love is always worth it no matter how hard it is.

          • Barbara

I so much appreciate your articulate commentary and your analysis of these five influential factors in the resurgence of Islam and its hatred of the “non-believers.”

But I’d like to emphasize that, as influential as these five factors (the Perfect Storm) are, they are not the “root cause” of this Islamic resurgence. As I’m sure you know, the root cause are the teachings and doctrines of Islam, e.g., the Koran, the Hadiths, the Sira, the manuals of Islamic Law as well as the customs and history.

So is highly probable that if the confluence of factors that you describe as the “perfect storm” had not taken place as you describe, Islam would still experience a dangerous resurgence–although it may have lain dormant for longer.

This evil witches brew now bubbling to the surface appears to have always existed in the Islamic world, always waiting for conditions to allow it to emerge more fully. These conditions have waxed and waned. I’m not an expert, but I does appear that the doctrine and practices of ISIS follow the traditional doctrine and practices of the Koran and Hadiths–of Mohammed and his followers. I’m not sure that Qutb’s work was even necessary.

But, for certain, the money to fund the current armed Jihads comes from the oil purchased by the West. In this connection I read a very interesting article in the the GoV news feed months ago. The article, from AnsaMed, cited the work of some Israeli scientists currently working toward commercializing the process of converting air and water into jet fuel. The process works but needs to be made commercially viable. As I recall, part of the process was developed in Europe. The Israeli scientists were quite confident that in 10 to 20 years, this will be a success. Obviously, if you can make the process economically sustainable for jet fuel you can also manufacture gasoline and any other needed hydrocarbons.

I hope that Israel survives and that these scientists are not murdered. Because once this becomes a reality, bye bye oil money to the MME; we can let them sink back down into the sand.

The answer is the anti-Semitism of Western media. The answer is the lies of Western media and society. To speak the truth about Islam is to risk being labeled an intolerant racist (in left wing parlance, that is).
So Israel and many Jews try to behave as they feel they must. Of course, this is a path to suicide as those who judge them harshly hate them. As not too many cared what happened to Jews during The Holocaust, not too many people care again today.
Speaking the truth loud and clear and not being silenced even when called names is the only possible hope.
We are here speaking, listening and so hoping.

The wrong leadership? Then change it. If Israel wasn’t in deadly danger there would be (or should be?) a very bloody civil war.

        • Daniel_Greenfield

Israel has the same political menu as we or the UK or a lot of countries do.

There’s the radical leftist and the liberal establishment Republican (local equivalent) who will talk a lot and do nothing.

Now try and change the leadership.

          • kertitor

First of all, thank you for the reply, I highly respect you, and others, like Pat Condell etc. And I know that talking or writing online much easier than do the right thing. There is a war going on, and in time of war a good leadership (Feiglin?) a must. Democracy is fine in peace, but now we need strong will, authority and bravery. The UK, USA, France, are not the same what they were in the WWII. There are a lot of people in Israel and worldwide, but nobody organise them. Regarding the muslim invasion of the world, they couldn’t do it without the helping of the West

          • MukeNecca

“Democracy is fine in peace, but now we need strong will, authority and bravery.

Democracy and “…strong will, authority and bravery” should not be perceived as contradictory entities. In fact democracy is a sham if not backed by “strong will, authority and bravery. And a few more things.

          • kertitor

We can argue about this forever. In theory you are right. But there are big differences between theory and reality. Don’t forget that Hitler was democratically elected. Also the Hamas. Every effective army in the world based on combat skill and obedience. Israel, at the moment is a theocracy where rabbis decide in courts, and sometimes make citizen’s life miserable.

          • MukeNecca

Frankly, I don’t understand what your referencing to Hitler, Hamas and rabbis (allegedly) deciding in Israel’s courts has to do with my simple and rather obvious observation i.e., that maintaining democracy requires strong will, authority (at least moral) and bravery, among a few other things.

          • Daniel_Greenfield

Yes it’s a must. We all need good leadership. Unfortunately we’re stuck with a bad dynamic.

          • Lightbringer

Israel could certainly change the way its Supreme Court is chosen and how they operate. The Court’s leftist agenda and obstruction of justice is legendary.

          • Daniel_Greenfield

It could. It should. Would mean a full scale showdown with the left’s establishment though and the left controls law enforcement and the judiciary.

          • Daniel_Greenfield

It should, unfortunately the Supreme Court also insists on rejecting members from the right

Europe, the US and the rest of the western world have never spoken out forcefully against the anti-Semitism of the Arabs – all in the name of getting along – of course.

Once Arabs learned that their hatred of Jews was winked at, it is not much further to call for the entire Middle East to be Judenrein.

Islam is the new Nazism with religion (Islam) taking the place of the Aryan race (folk) and the same old world enemy – the Jews. Anyone who tries to play nice with these intolerant bigots and haters will end up with Christian churches being attacked with butcher knives and meat cleavers.

Islam will be defeated, but not while the West pretends they are the “religion of peace.”

During the past 1400 years only those who mounted an effective resistance have survived the Islamic onslaught. There are no Zoroastrians left in Persia. There are no Buddhists left in Afghanistan. Hindustan, of which modern India is only a portion, survived in part because the Hindus had a warrior caste. Anatolia (Turkey), Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, and the remainder of northern Africa were once almost exclusively Christian. No more; they were unable or unwilling to resist. I think the lesson is obvious.

  • Jake

The Muslims merely have to convince the Jews that it is really, truly, a zero sum game and they really mean to leave the Jews at zero (as expressed above). Once that happens, and only the liberal mindset of the Jews is preventing it, but once that happens, and the Jews understand, then there will be no choice but to the leave the Muslims in “Palestine” with zero. It is either that or suicide and I don’t think the Jews are ready for that. I think the same thing must happen with the West and Islam but I am not sure of the outcome. One day the West may begin to listen and, more importantly, to believe, what the Muslims are saying. That day is either the acknowledged suicide of the West (what the Left inwardly desires) or it must be the end of Islam.

Fatah official calls for blood to ‘purify’ Jerusalem of Jews

  • tickletik

Nonsense. There can be plenty of peace with these people. It’s not even necessary to slaughter all of them

The totalitarian mindset, is based on opportunity and cost. If the cost is low and the opportunity is high, it is worth it to dehumanize, steal and/or murder a class of people. Some will focus on murder for the sake of theft, others on both theft and murder, and a third class on only murder. All three classes do this because the benefit of their actions outweigh the reward.

The class of those who wish to murder alone, do so for an emotional benefit as opposed to financial. The existence of the target group is used as a safe outlet for emotional distress based on unresolved problems/issues in the murderers life that are too emotionally costly to confront head on, so that distress is blamed on the “safe” target, safe precisely because the target is not the actual cause of the real problems which the narcissist/murderer does not want to resolve/confront. By transfering that distress over to the target he relieves pressure to act on his terrifying issues, but ironically has a terrible desire to permanently remove the target which is the only way he can safely ignore his real issues.

In all cases the solution is the same. Make it very very costly to attack the target. If the Arab community of Israel understands that the consequences to their actions of theft and murder will be met with sharp, painful, and imminent reprisals, the cost/benefit ratio changes. As you raise the cost for their actions, they will start policing their own as the cost of not doing so outweighs the benefit of letting the demagogues and psychopaths murder Jews so the “innocent moderate” can receive the spoils. Much like the soft merchant at the raiders camp would benefit by trading with the raiders bloody goods when they came back from butchering or enslaving a village.

Instead we have adopted a policy of bribery. Much like every civilization which has fallen to barbarians, we are attempting to bribe our opponents into leaving us alone, with benefits, permission to build illegal housing, even the legitimization of a state with funding.

The problem with this tack, the reason it absolutely cannot succeed is that far from increasing the costs of the unwanted behavior, we incentivize it. Since Arab terror, injustice and oppression against Jews brings tremendous benefits at a bearable cost, then logically it follows that more of the same will bring more benefits at a bearable cost.

In this scenario it is not the Jews who seem to be behaving rationally, but the Arabs, so what is going on?

What is going on, is that for many Jews the cost of properly standing up for their country and their people is lower than the cost of selling the same out. For example, in the case of Jews who are gutless dishonorable traitors, such as Peres, or everyone working for J street, there is absolutely no cost and only benefit for selling out the Jewish population. They are lauded, given a great deal of money, and even receive access to power.

For the common idiot, giving away the residents of Gush Qatif is worth it because they allow themselves to believe it is a one time deal since their trusted authority figures (Sharon) told them it was so. Fortunately as the sirens ring out daily over Jerusalem, this group is beginning to realize that the authority figures are not always correct or trustworthy.

In any case, as long as we allow the cost/benefit to Arab oppression to remain as is, the Arabs will constantly increase the severity of the same.

As they increase the severity of their attacks, the cost/benefit of allowing them to do so also changes. The cost of putting up with their unjust depredations begins to outweighs the benefit of ignoring it. The cost of ignoring world opinion and punishing the Arab community as a whole for their communal actions is outweighed by the benefit in taking the only tack that can stop the Arab ethnic cleansing/genocide of Jews. (Let’s call it for what it is)

Now as I pointed above there will always be a class of Jews that will benefit from selling out every last one of us. The modern “Rudolph Kastners” if you will. These are the unnatural filth, the ones lacking all courage or feeling of shared bonds with the group. They will never see the cost of treason as outweighing the benefit of loyalty. The best thing to do in their case, is to identify and isolate. Their strength comes from the trust we extend to them. When that trust is severed, when they are “out grouped” from our group, we take away their main weapon against us. We cease to trust them on any level. It is also a fitting punishment.

There is a cost to out grouping traitors, but as the benefit of allowing them trust is outweighed by the damage they do, this is the first place where our actions will change. Already I’ve observed many common Israelis beginning to lose all patience with the treacherous-coward class. The cost of ignoring their antics has grown too high.

Once this class is dealt with, by either outgrouping or by being incentivized to change their actions, the community as a whole will natural adopt a harsher more punitive stance to the Arab community in Israel.

In other words, idealists take heart. Cost-benefit. All systems seek equilibrium. All you have to do now is survive and continue to speak the truth until the community is ready to hear it

And make sure that the retaliation and punishment is collective.
The arabs still haven’t managed to evolve their society past the collective stage, so punish appropriately.
Start with the family, then move up to the clan, and then the tribe.

      Leave no arab unpunished.

      • Texas Patriot

You will note that the words “punish” and “punishment” do not appear in the post to which you responded. On the contrary, the concept of punishment is precisely the wrong idea, and it is precisely the philosophical trap that Benjamin Netanyahu has fallen into time and time again in justifying his response to Islamic Jihad against the State of Israel and the Jewish people.

Unfortunately, pursuing the punishment of others for perceived wrongs can only lead to an increase in the cycle of violence and hatred and eventually consume everyone concerned. There is a better way, and as pointed out by Tickletik, it has to do with changing the cost/benefit equation so that terrorists understand completely that it will cost them far more than they gain to engage in violent attacks against the State of Israel or the Jewish people is the correct analytical framework for responding to Islamic Jihad in all of its forms.

Self-preservation and defense and the prevention of further attacks is the only legitimate philosophical response to external aggression available to human beings. Punishment is for God alone, and there will be plenty of time for that.

I mean, hey, it was done to you, so you have a right to do it to them. I mean, it sure beats the heck out of just bombing them to the stone age each and every year—sure it is enjoyable and all, but so childlike and immature. Time to move up on the ladder of “purification” and just like old times, when you obliterated two entire miniorities and put them the women and children into slavery and all—remember, it’s in the Torah with gleaming detail?
