Pelosi: Qatar Says Hamas is a Humanitarian Organization

It looks like Qatar got a good deal when it bought the Democratic Party. Too bad some of its merchandise is defective.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) says the United States must look to Qatar, an ally of the terrorist group Hamas, for advice in resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

War is a deadly thing,” Pelosi said on Sunday, speaking about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“And I have many Palestinians who live in my district, and I am hearing them regularly about how their families are affected who live in the region. It’s a terrible thing. But let me just say that any missile that comes from someplace has a return address. And if Israel is responding to that address, then that’s a shame that the Palestinians are …rumored to be using children and families as shields for their missiles.”

Pelosi said the first thing to do is to “avoid conflict” that “Hamas initiated.”

“[T]his has to be something where we try to have the two-state solution, that we have to support… (Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud) Abbas and his role as a leader there. We have to support Iron Dome to protect the Israelis from the missiles. We have to support the Palestinians and what they need. And we have to confer with the Qataris, who have told me over and over again that Hamas is a humanitarian organization, maybe they could use their influence to –

This doesn’t even look like it contains a coherent and consistent train of thought.

1. Israel has a right to defend itself

2. Hamas is bad

3. Qatar says Hamas is good

4. We should work with Qatar

Pelosi is tossing out all sorts of semi-random thoughts. War is bad. The Iron Dome is good. A Two State Solution is good. None of it adds up to a consistent whole. It’s like Pelosi is a strange creature made up entirely of stray thoughts and talking points that don’t add up to anything.

She’s fine is you talk to her about income inequality or birth control. Those are simple topics with simple talking points. Here where she’s being asked to choose, she’s unable to do it. Instead like a sputtering engine, she tosses out random talking points meant to reassure everyone. Some of those talking points are pro-Israel. Others aren’t.

This is not directly realted but it is interesting.

Someone ask some impertinent questions in a major world newspaper and the fracking politicians came down on him like the proverbial ton of bricks.

Politicians demand apology from Germany’s biggest-selling newspaper for editorial comment piece criticising Islam and accusing it of ‘murderous contempt for women and homosexuals’

One of my favorite atheists or agnostics.

Nicolaus Fest, the vice editor in chief of the newspaper Bild am Sonntag

“Fest described the religion as ‘a barrier to integration’ ”

‘I don’t believe in God, but at the same time Christianity, Judaism or Buddhism don’t bother me. Only Islam bothers me more and more.’ – Nicolaus Fest

No, Nancy’s ruminations don’t add up to anything near coherent. Perhaps what explains it is oncoming senility. Or the effect of numerous Botox injections. No one who displays such a kaleidoscope of disintegrated ideas and random notions ought to be in any position of power. But, there she is, House minority leader. Frank Underwood of House of Cards would have thrown her under a speeding subway train, right there in Washington, as he did Zoe Barnes.

I would hate to be a thought rambling around in Pelosi’s brain. The incoherence of this woman is unbelievable. I think we need to administer a dementia test to many of our political leaders.

    • kilfincelt

Couldn’t agree more! I would include many of those in academia, the media, and various religious groups that believe Islam is a religion of peace. Nobody could be that stupid, but, apparently, they are or they are suffering from senility.

  • kazzer66

Obviously she could only memorize so much of what her handlers told her to say. She has absolutely no idea what is going on, so keeping it straight in her addled little mind is hard.

We put peace terms to the Talib prior to the surge, it is now 2014, same goes with the Hamas Charter. So either Qatar has no influence or actively involved in terrorism. Part is the JSCO re team came up with some wacky views on Hamas and Hizbullah. A bit like the CIA red cell. The Executive is the blue team. So besides MB friendlies in State, and this you can see why the US is trying to save the Hamas. Even the DIA saying the PA is a failed security service and a Palestinan state will be a failed state.

  • luckyintheorder

Pelosi is the ever circular talker. Looks like bottom lined; let an enemy of Israel determine our policy towards… Israel. Aren’t we tired of the ongoing senility from these 70 and 80 year olds?

  • Jack Smythe

Pelosi, having no training as a contortionist is amazing since she can bend over so far and have her head stuck in a place that the Sun doesn’t shine. REMARKABLE!

  • justinburch505

Must admit I had to pick my jaw up off the floor on hearing that one.

  • Taylor Burton

She represents American voter’s not Israeli voters. So what’s
your problem with the statements that are non-pro-Israel? Why is that Israeli Jews
    have to dictate American policy?

    • heb macman

Hamas’ end goal, like that of all Islamists, is to have Islam rule the world… As such, by being anti-Israel Pelosi is being pro-Hamas and therefore anti-American…

That makes the issue an American voter issue…

Nothing to do with Israel dictating American policy… In fact, if Israel were dictating American policy we wouldn’t have Kerry presenting a ceasefire draft agreement that could have been written by the Hamas itself!… IOW, your claim that Israel dictates American policy is nothing but an age old antisemitic canard!…

      • Taylor Burton

I wouldn’t know if Hama’s goal is to rule the world, I guess
they would be content if they could rule GAZA but that’s for the Palestinians to decide not Israel or any other country. I don’t like to make general statements like Islamist want to rule the world, it’s just plain dumb. Again, whatever is Anti American, I am sure the Americans can decide without the help of Israel!

Well if Israel needs more American weapon and ammo to kill
more Palestinian children, I guess they should have a say in a ceasefire. And again, I don’t like generalizing issues like ‘Hamas wrote the ceasefire agreement’, seem like you have no clue about what you are stating.

I claim that the Jewish lobby in America has a big say in the American policy towards Israel and this is, as you should know, a known and documented fact. And your accusation of me
being anti-Semitic is a worn-out cliché that has no merit anymore.

        • heb macman

You can claim whatever you want… Doesn’t make it true… As for antisemitism being a “a worn-out cliché” I refer you to all those “pro-Palestinian” demonstrations (especially in Europe) where various versions of “kill the Jews” are chanted…

          • Taylor Burton

With regards to the Jewish lobby in America is not an unsubstantiated claim, if you are interested i can provide you with loads of documentation from the USA! So you want the Europe/world to be quite about the Israeli murder of children and woman? you might be right about some chanting ‘kill the Jews’ , there are a minority of crazy people around. But i believe most of the chanting is democratic countries voicing their disgust and anger towards Israels occupation and the current murder of innocent people in Gaza. But it seems like you feel the few crazies chanting of ‘kill the Jews’ is much worse then the Zionist states actual murder of thousands of children and women?

          • heb macman

IF it would have been an expression of disgust at the bloodshed then where was this disgust during the Sudanese war crimes (both in south Sudan and in Darfur)?!… Where was this disgust during the Syrian civil war crimes?!… Where was this disgust during the Iraqi civil war crimes?!… All anybody could hear was the crickets…

Nah, this isn’t about people being killed… This is about the temerity of those uppity Jews having the gumption to defend themselves…

Last but not least, we only have Hamas’ word that the majority of the Gaza casualties are non-combatants… However, an analysis of the casualties shows that men of military fighting age are the majority of the casualties…

Furthermore, during previous Gaza engagements Hamas was also claiming that the vast majority of the casualties were non-combatants only to admit a few months later that the majority of the casualties were indeed Hamas combatants…

I can understand your view but your view fails to take into account the legalities of warfare (non-combatant casualties mean nothing without the context of how they were killed), the record of Hamas and the very simple fact that if Hamas doesn’t fire then Israel doesn’t fire…

          • Taylor Burton

There are a lot of conflicts in the world and right now we are talking about the Palestinian conflict and not the other conflicts. Why do you want to deflect the issues at hand? Why would certainly divert our disgust someplace else? It has always been the response of Israel to avoid and deflect the real issues. Do you deny that Israel is an occupying state? Do you deny that Gaza cannot be isolated from the remaining Palestinian territories like the west bank and east Jerusalem? The same organization that gave birth to
Israel is the same organist ion calling Israel an occupying state. 99% of the members of UN agree! So please do deflect and beat around the bush!

Some of the independent international organizations claim the same with regards to the fact the majority killed are civilians. Now why would the world believe Lies from the Zionist state of Israel? Would you believe
an independent international organization? Or do you want to deflect that again by saying that the international recognized organizations are lying? It would of course be befitting of Israel to claim that again.

According to the Geneva convention and occupied people have the right to defend themselves.

If I was living in the United States and someone trespassed on my property and I feel threatened, I have the right to defend myself and shoot
the intruder. Israelis living on occupied land according to international laws are trespassing.

          • heb macman

First, nobody (except for the Hamas) is occupying Gaza…

Second, people have the right to fight for what they believe in… Whether they’re occupied or not… But, they have to abide by the laws of war when they do so… Hamas willfully ignores these laws…

As for deflecting, the examples of Sudan and Syria PREDATE the current Gaza conflict… Your excuse for there not having been any other “expressions of disgust” doesn’t fly…

          • Taylor Burton

When Israel blocks Gaza from the sea, air and land, its called an occupation!! Have you heard about a place called the west bank and East Jerusalem?? Its also under occupation!! Wake up!

Obama is pro palistinian due to his Muslim upbringing. Pelosi is completely uninformed on the subject of the Israeli/palestinian conflict. Also she is an Obama parrot that repeats whatever Obama says. As she stated she thinks Hamas is a humanitarian organization, she has probably heard Obama say it so much that she let it slip out. Even tho the Obama administration obviously supports the Islamic point of view, they prefer to cover that up. Just remember that Pelosi and many people like her in the ruling Democratic party do not represent the will of the people. They have a socialist agenda that is divergent from what the USA was meant to stand for.
