Rupert Murdoch: Without Illegal Alien Amnesty, Google Will Move to Poland

This could move to Latvia tomorrow

This could move to Latvia tomorrow

Come on guys, we need illegal alien amnesty. Without 12 million illegal aliens from Mexico, major US corporations will move to Poland. Or maybe Ukraine.

Or possibly even Latvia.

Just imagine Starbucks relocating to Estonia or Yahoo in Slovakia. Sure we’ll have to pay for it, not the corporations. Homeowners will see high property taxes to cover a whole lot more education for a whole lot of non-taxpayers and then the companies will move to Estonia… because of the high taxes.

And Murdoch and the Wall Street Journal will tell us it’s our fault because we took so long to pass amnesty that the 12 million illegals no longer wanted to commit to the Republican Party’s vision of no welfare state.

When I learned that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor had lost his Republican primary, my heart sank. Not simply because I think he is an intelligent and talented member of Congress, or because I worry about the future of the Republican Party.

Like others who want comprehensive immigration reform, I worried that Mr. Cantor’s loss would be misconstrued and make Congress reluctant to tackle this urgent need.

Nah. The GOP knows who butters its English muffins.

I chose to come to America and become a citizen because America was—and remains—the most free and entrepreneurial nation in the world.

And Murdoch came here illegally and spent zero time on welfare. His kids will probably not end up as public charge either.

And Mr. Murdoch also speaks English.

Is the idea of immigration reform complicated by the fact that some immigrants went outside the legal system to be here?

Much like the trial of the bank robbers was “complicated” by their extralegal means of acquiring money from a bank.

Yes. It is complicated even more by the fear some Americans have, quite naturally, of how changing populations might also change our culture, communities and economic circumstances. Well, of course immigration means change. Immigrants enrich our culture and add to our economic prosperity.

That will show them. Worried about becoming a minority? Shut up and have some cultural enrichment…  says the man living on four floors of a Manhattan skyscraper.

Do Americans really wish Google, eBay, EBAY,  Pfizer  or Home Depot  were headquartered in Eastern Europe or China instead of America?

Has Rupert Murdoch noticed how many companies have been fleeing culturally enriched California? It seems as if companies are not fond of big taxes and lots of regulations… which is what a changing culture means.

But sure.

If we don’t legalize 12 million illegals, Google will flee to Estonia. So why hasn’t it done it already? (Google already left China)

Google isn’t running on cheap labor. It runs on smart labor. Which is not illegal aliens labor.

How many illegal aliens work at NewsCorp? How many would Rupert Murdoch hire to run a company?

I don’t believe that people come to America to sit on their hands. The vast majority of America’s immigrants are hardworking, family-minded individuals with strong values.

That explains the…

1. Welfare rates

2. Single motherhood rates

3. Crime rates

4. California

They are drawn here from many different places by a common belief that this is still the land of opportunity for those willing to work hard.

That’s Singapore. America is the land of opportunity for immigrants gaming the system. Though less so than Europe.

We need to give those individuals who are already here—after they have passed checks to ensure they are not dangerous criminals—a path to citizenship so they can pay their full taxes, be counted, and become more productive members of our community.

That’s what America needs. More productive welfare recipients collecting earned income credits.

Next, we need to do away with the cap on H-1B visas, which is arbitrary and results in U.S. companies struggling to find the high-skill workers they need to continue growing. We already know that most of the applications for these visas are for computer programmers and engineers, where there is a shortage of qualified American candidates.

There is no shortage of qualified American candidates. If there were, the Dot Com boom wouldn’t have happened here.

But we are held back by the objections of the richly funded labor unions…

Few H-1B jobs are union jobs.

If we are serious about advancing our economic future and about creating job growth here in America, then we must realize that it is suicidal to suggest closing our doors to the world’s entrepreneurs, or worse, to continue with large-scale deportations.

Cheap labor are not entrepreneurs. They’re cheap labor. The people hiring them usually aren’t entrepreneurs either.

Some politicians and pundits will argue that this is not the time to bring immigration reform to the congressional floor—that it will frighten an already anxious workforce and encourage more extreme candidates, especially on the right. They may be right about the short-term politics, but they are dead wrong about the long-term interests of our country.

The interests of our country are to turn it into California.

That is why I was pleased to see Sen. Rand Paul and Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform, step up their efforts to lobby for immigration reform.

Shh Rand Paul keeps claiming he doesn’t support amnesty. Then he goes out and supports amnesty.

  • Gee

Google has most of their work in Israel already.

  • Enzo

Oh really, they can’t hire American workers who INVENTED the internet? Go ahead, move to China for all I care I already stopped using google and NSA.

There are 2 black markets for workers in the United States:

People who are disenfranchised because they are here illegally.

People who are disenfranchised because their employer is the one sponsoring them for a Green card.

Both represent a lucrative market for business, as in both cases the workers are unable to claim their full rights to leave a job and seek employment at will with another employer.

If Mark Zuckerberg really cares about the potential immigrant workers, he would be asking for a worker controlled Green card process (After all most of the Senate immigration bill was bought and paid for by Zuckerberg). But he isn’t, because he is profiting from a Black Market trade for workers.

It is so profitable, that he doesn’t care about the fact that the majority of H-1b visas are used by Offshore Outsourcing companies to remove jobs at all levels from the United States.

What does Mark Zuckerberg care about the United States, when he has got his.

Immigration is a big program, it needs help, we need a secure border in the United States and need lots of oversight to protect workers (visa’d, immigrant or citizen).

Remember, if 911 could have been prevented (possibly with more people properly vetting people coming in on a visa), we could have saved more than 10,000 American lives.

More than several hundred thousand Afghan lives.

More than a 1 million Iraqi lives

More than 5 trillion dollars in economic loss.

This is the real cost of a broken border, deal with it.

  • Habbgun

The Paul’s support the Islamicists and illegal immigration but some people think they are strict libertarians and a conservative alternative. That Federal Reserve canard gets a lot of mileage.

It’s interesting how Murdock tries to use his
American citizenship as some sort of validation,
    or appeal to authority.

This is another fusion point of the leftist and islamist.

It’s no longer a stretch to imagine that people are coming
to America to subvert and destroy.

The muslims have their reasons, pious religiosity.

And Murdock has his reasons, globalist leftism,
    or really, pious religiosity again.

It’s also interesting how as I read through the point by
point of this story, I no longer am interested in the points,
per se. My mind keeps coming to the question of ‘why’ is
a Murdock saying what he’s saying?

Does he want to be loved? After accumulating a fortune, does
being leftist give him a feeling of meaning? Is he just trying to
    get laid?

Leftism is a syndrome of sorts. And the why must begin to be asked
as well as their topic of the day. They’re not only narcissist, it’s more
    than that.

  • Race_Dissident

A powerful and much deserved series of jabs and uppercuts delivered by Greenfield to Rupert Murdoch’s chin. Regarding Murdoch, one cannot help but be amazed how a man this stupid can become a multi-billionaire. Or perhaps he’s just an idiot savant.

Or perhaps like many of the super-rich (think Mike Bloomberg) he’s more concerned with finding cheap Mexican labor to maintain his golf courses than he is with the welfare of the country. What’s so disgusting is how these people pretend their desire for cheap labor is really a concern for America.

      • Race_Dissident

Yes, and although some of these fiends claim to be conservative, this hardly prevents them from tapping the Leftist zeitgeist regarding diversity in order to further their monetary gains. As you say, disgusting.

Without amnesty for the Romani will Google then leave Poland?

I am sure the goggle head honchos want to live right next to The Bear.

Maybe they and Snowden can party together.

  • DogmaelJones1

Loved these Murdoch words — “went outside the legal system.” Who was he thinking of? Not Obama. Not Hillary. Not Harry Reid. Not Chuck Schumer. Not Joe Biden. (No, let’s not include Biden; Biden wouldn’t know a “legal system” if he were taken to court in an orange jumpsuit and handcuffs; he’d think it was a college prank.) Not Elizabeth Warren. Not drug cartel bosses. Just those poor, computer-skill rich illegals who come here to rape, rob, kill, start their own street gangs, and express their own racism against whites and the cultural imperiaists who expect him to work for a living.

  • MJUdall

Great response to this idiotic intellectually dishonest article by Rupert Moleach. It is amazing how a man who is so educated and successful can make a fool of himself by saying that the immigrants who are currently crossing our border are the same as those coming here 60 or 70 years ago. When Moleach looks at the pictures of the “kids” at the border does he really see the future titans of companies like Google, Ebay, pfizer or Home Depot? I do not.
This is pure insanity. We do not have the resources to deal with 11 or more million illegals coming into the nation.
And frankly, I’m getting tired of the close the border arguments as well. I would like the border secured, but that’s not going to solve this problem because there are too many coming into this country via plane and they are staying on temporary visas and simply over staying on those when they expire IE breaking the law. Some of those could be radical Islamists who wish to blow up buildings and kill and injure Americans, legal, illegal, black, white, brown etc.
Rand Paul is nothing more than a front man for the republican establishment and the pro amnesty lobby. After all of his pro amnesty talk, if he runs for POTUS, he’ll have less support than his father did in 2012.
Funny how just a few weeks ago he was saying “GOP should pick a Chamber of Commerce candidate for 2016″ meanwhile that is exactly what HE is.

  • Pete

For all it sterling qualities, the Wall Street Journal has always been open borders.

If you are for job announcements for any job in the U.S. being open for anyone in the whole wide world, then the WSJ is your newspaper.

Unless somehow minimum wage and union wage scale will survive that type of job market, you are smoking hopium

  • CowboyUp

We tried amnesty, it didn’t work, and it won’t work this time either if we are dumb enough to try. With unemployment, job market participation, and welfare spending what they are, it should be a no brainer anyway. The way they are facilitating border crashers to create a bigger problem is insulting.

    • Pete

This is off topic, but references an earlier post thread on another story.

The article I was writing about was

“Bankrolling the French” in the July Issue of Military history which is still at Barnes and Noble.

The authors, Peter Moreira, takeaway is “Lend Lease helped ensure that U.S. production facilities were ready for war.”

      The planes were P-40s

      • objectivefactsmatter

That’s true of course. We could have been wiser about distribution though.

  • hrwolfe

I really get fed up with the Pay Their Taxes statement. Most do not make enough to be taxed.

Why can’t all these billionaires just admit that they need more brown people to watch their kids and mow their lawns?

CRIMES AGAINST THIS NATION: IMPEACH OBAMA: If you do not, who will? The National Tea Party is
the only one fighting for you. We have watched Obama take apart America piece by piece and now he’s giving
terrorists a free pass to attack us. We must get him OUT before that happens
and restore order. If you want him out as badly as we do then assist us get out
letters, faxes, emails and phone calls, following with demonstrations alerting
people of the danger he poses as well and put key candidates in Washington. Stand with the rising tide of
citizens, a collective of black-African Americans, Conservative Hispanics,
Whites and Asians, who have dropped out of the Republican Establishment,
Democratic and once Liberal far Left towards a more centralized government. Be
a part of the movement to oust Obama who has weakened our reputation with
the rest of the world, and even made us less safe.

It’s so easy to stop for good
illegal immigration, simply issue every citizen with a digital Social Security Card.
The cost would soon be replenished, as millions of illegal aliens would find
themselves without a job and employers would find themselves violating the law.
These are just one problem that the National TEA PARTY would use?

borders still remain open since the 1986 Amnesty, although the public have been
misled that illegal aliens can reach American jurisdiction. Obamas officials
have trampled on our sovereignty and the rule of law, by a substantiated order
not to apprehend too many illegal aliens. The invasion has gained voracity as
thousands of minors, pregnant mothers and inconspicuous gang members have
surged along the border, pleading to be arrested by the US Border patrol. These
agents have been overwhelmed and its now known if you read the implication
information at tea This Administration” Orchestrated” this new
invasion of foreigners by completely circumventing Congress, as the President
did in releasing atrocious terrorists from Gitmo, in an exchange for Army
Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. According to the edicts of the U.S. Constitution this violation aptly named
“High crimes and Misdemeanors” can contribute to impeachment. King Obama has
caused an extraordinary amount of serious violations of the Rule of Law,
including releasing 36.000 illegal aliens from prison cells, back out into

sides of Congress have ignored the fundamental means, to restrain illegal
aliens from crossing into this country. What’s incredulous is the unassailable
fact if the original design for the barrier fence had been carried out—no
matter the cost from the Southwest to Brownsville, Texas, hundreds of billions of dollars would
have been saved, because the money taxpayers are spending on benefits now would
never have happened. Just very few foreigners would have reached our side of
the border. All the wonderful promises
from the initial 1986 AMNESTY, has never been kept. To myself its just one big conspiracy, lying
that the border is shut off from illegal invasion. IT WAS NEVER MEANT TO KEEP

Obama” is back on amnesty with an act of vengeance, proclaiming it will
boost the economy and shrink the deficit. It’s just another lie, just like
Obamacare, Benghazi and the VA scandal
with no end to issues covered up and no accountability as yet for
violators. What kind of rogue could be
president of the United States of America and care less about
our laws and our Constitution and instead show sympathy for terrorists,
deserters and law-breakers? Obama is going to do whatever he pleases so it is
up to us to stop him even if Congress won’t. He has failed miserably as a
president but succeeded in creating “elementary change” in America: total devastation.
Support the National Tea Party today by joining their ranks—we are so close to
    ousting him out of office.

We need new futurists in Congress who are
not going to sell out or to bow down to Special Interest lobbyists, to
corporate cronies, religious groups or the big trade unions, playing the same
old continuous record of the Republican elite or foggy brained Democrats. All you have to do is
don’t vote Democrat; don’t vote Republican; when you go to the ballot box make
your decision on who will balance the federal and state budgets, Remove the
    Affordable Care Act.

    If you want REAL change: removal of illegal aliens;
Abolishment of the IRS; introduce a fair or consumption tax, reduction in
government itself; Returning the Department of Education, Environmental
Protection Agency to State control. Building the Keystone pipeline and making America self-sufficient in Energy and not
dependent on foreign oil, gas. Reduce to a minimum of Regulations for growing
businesses. Make corporate welfare a thing of the past. Use the Tea Party
agenda of Ron Paul, The One Cent Solution is
beautifully simple: If the government cuts one cent out of every dollar of its
total spending (excluding interest payments) each year for five years, and then
caps overall federal spending at 18 percent of national income from then on, we
can: Reduce federal spending by $7.5 trillion over 10 years. Balance the budget
    by 2019.

you want the National TEA PARTY to keep fighting for what our Founding Fathers
believed in, for the US Constitution they set forth…for our freedom, liberty
and justice? If you believe in America then believe in the
Tea Party then support our efforts. We count on America’s grassroots to support
our vast efforts—phone calls, emails, faxes, petitions, rallies, protests and
actually talking face to face with lawmakers.

    • teapartyimmigrationcoalition

Unfortunately not all “tea party” outlets are true tea partiers. Tea Party express and tea part net are among those that we think are fronts for the Republican Establishment. But you’re right: only tea party candidates can be trusted to bring sanity back into our government.

  • tagalog

“Immigrants enrich our culture and add to our economic prosperity.” You mean like when the tribes living north of the Danube were made Roman citizens, then sacked Rome? Like that kind of cultural and economic enrichment?
No one wants to close our doors to legal immigrants; we want our borders to be secure from the illegals before we begin the debate on “amnesty” or whatever the technique is going to be to assimilate the tens of millions of illegals who are already here.

After realizing his trophy spouse was bonking British P.M, Aussie, Murdoch> 80 is losing it! Why can’t he let others do the opinion section?

  • truebearing

There isn’t much point in expending a lot of energy on Murdoch’s idiocy. Daniel worked nim over thoroughly already. It is worth adding, however, that Rush Limbaugh reports that he has been prevented from talking about Endorsed Illegal Immigration, aka Immigration Reform, on FOX. That appears to mean that FOX News is guilty of shaping the news according to the tailored ideological perspective of Murdoch and Ailes, just as the Left has accused it of doing. Ironically, the tailoring is favoring the Left. That is gratitude for you. The Right is their meal ticket and reason for their success, but they stifle voices from the Right on an issue that could mean the permanent defeat of the Right Are we to assume Murdoch and Ailes have both forgotten which side of the bread to butter?

Google is already moving to Warsaw next year. They are opening a Google tech start-up center in Warsaw, by 2015. One is in London, one is in Tel Aviv, and the third will be in Warsaw, something the author of this article probably didn’t know.

    • Daniel Greenfield

Google has plenty of offices around the world. It’s an international company, but it’s not moving its center of operations from the US.

      • lk kara

Yea, but it’s expanding operations. Not saying Google’s moving altogether. Since it is opening shop there, it’s highly unlikely that they’d go there as a whole.

        • Daniel Greenfield

          That’s my point.

  • Atikva

Google, eBay, Pfizer or Home Depot can move their centers of operations to the netherworld for all I care. NO AMNESTY, that I care about. Another 9th or 10th amnesty, no way!

Mr. Obama is preparing for the elections by injecting a new wave of illegals in America so that they may be made to vote in his favor in November – in case voters’ fraud would prove insufficient to maintain his Senate majority. We have got to put an end to these mafiosi tricks.

Murdoch doubles down on his traitorous views. It is time to stop watching Fox News, stop buying the Wall Street Journal and any other part of News Corp. An investigation into Murdoch is also called for. He is a naturalized citizen only beca…use he had to in order to buy radio and tv stations.
If Google moves, wave good riddance. And someone will replace Google. If Google moves, it will finally prove our contention: These multinational corporate types like Murdoch and Google only care about one thing, corporate greed. No national pride. No care for Real American Values, since they are not really American.
It is therefore time to review how we allow foreign nationals to invest in American Companies.

Rand Paul of course shares the common Libertarian delusions about amnesty and immigration, the result of the Libertarian’s unconcern about cultural destruction (and, strangely, political destruction when 30 million new “citizens” all vote Democratic, not Libertarian). Grover Norquist’s motivations are more opaque since more immigration means higher taxes – I can only presume he wants more Muslim immigration since he apparently wants sharia law here, which won’t happen unless we have a critical mass of Muslims.
