STRATFOR Claims Muslim Brotherhood Opposes Violence

I’m usually baffled by sensible people who take STRATFOR seriously. Here’s one more reason not to take it seriously.

In an article released this week, the commercial intelligence company STRATFOR, which is read by national security professionals and civilians alike, demonstrated their complete ignorance of the Muslim Brotherhood threat globally and in the U.S. by attacking Saudi Arabia and the UAE for considering the Muslim Brotherhood and U.S. MB/Hamas groups CAIR and MAS “terrorists” while STRATFOR defends the MB.

“Not only does it oppose violence as a means of achieving its political goals, but it also seeks democracy. Therefore, the Brotherhood is not just difficult to counter; it promotes a political system that is a threat to the monarchical systems of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.”

That would be the organization that was responsible for numerous acts of terrorism, which helped spawn Al Qaeda and which responded to its loss of power by burning churches.

That Muslim Brotherhood is a real winner.

But then again STRATFOR predicted in the 90s that the next war would be with Japan. That did not happen, but then a few years ago its chief’s book predicted that the conflict with Muslim terrorists would die out and Poland would become a major power while Taiwan would invade China.

No need to worry about those nice Muslim terrorists. Beware of the Japanese-Turkish alliance against America.

In the mid-21st century, around the year 2050, a Third World War will take place, between the United States, the “Polish Bloc,” Britain, India, and China on one side, and Turkey and Japan on the other. Germany and France will enter the war in its late stages on the side of Turkey and Japan. According to the book, the war will probably be started by a coordinated Turkish-Japanese sneak attack against the United States and its allies.

Okay then.

Have they also been predicting the increase in number and size of hurricanes every year since 2005?

Where are all the “Truthers” on this? I mean seriously, come on, if 9/11 was an “inside job”, why would we be so nice to the “moderate” Muslim groups like the Muslim Brotherhood which started al-Qaeda?

I’ve never taken Stratfor and George Freidman seriously but now they are a complete joke.

    DAN IS RIGHT ABOUT STRATFOR.

How could they have missed the fact that the MB are secularists, as James Clapper said./sarc.

Gave up on STRAFOR when their site was hacked…no longer a credible source of open source intel…

Stratfor is making itself unreliable as a strategic consultant.
