Taxi Jihad: New York Muslim Cabbies Kill, Maim and Go on Driving

alg-cab-collision-jpg

While Bill de Blasio beats down elderly Chinese men for jaywalking, Muslim cabbies kill and go right on driving.

The overwhelming majority of cabbies who killed and maimed passengers and pedestrians in the past five years are back behind the wheel.

Of 16 fatal or serious crashes since 2009 examined by The Post, only two of the drivers had their licenses revoked, according to a review based on a Freedom of Information Act request.

The shocking findings reveal that in even the most egregious cases, drivers with blood on their bumpers can remain active Taxi & Limousine Commission license holders, including:

Usman Gul, 33, who slammed into 5-year-old Timothy Keith in Brooklyn in 2012, killing him. Gul said the boy, who was deaf, jumped out of nowhere, but the boy’s parents claim in court papers the driver was going too fast.

Koffi Komlani, 54, who struck and killed 9-year-old Cooper Stock on the Upper West Side on Jan. 10, while the child crossed the street with his father, Richard.

Mohammed Faysal Himon, 24, who sheared off the foot of British tourist Sian Green in Rockefeller Center in August 2013 after arguing with a cyclist, which he claimed caused him to lose control and jump the curb.

Syed Nazir, 52, who wreaked havoc in the East Village in 2010 after he allegedly rear-ended a car and then slammed into The Bean coffee shop, where the vehicle snapped 71-year-old Preston Krupin’s leg.

No Jihad to see here. See no evil, hear no evil, pull no evil licenses.

i really liked the old jewish & italian taxi men. those days there was no window between you & the driver. avoid somolian drivers, they dont like to give correct change. they have slippery hands. this artical is bringing back my taxi history. if you think it’s bad in NY, dont go to mex or s. america. worse, dont ever hire a cab in indonesia. if they hit someone or kill someone in the street YOU are to blame as you hired them. you pay for everything. if it happends in a remote village, the villagers kill you, in a fire. driver goes free. now this will give you insight into the mentality of these cultures.

      • defcon 4

I’ve hired taxi cabs in Mexico, what was kinda scarey to me, is my friends and I had no idea where he was taking us. At the time it seemed like a whole lot of driving to go a couple of miles. I’ll never be going to Mexico again, it’s way too dangerous now.

        • laura r

mexico city never ever take a taxi. guadalajara so-so. your lucky he was just driving around to bring up the fair if it was on the meter. sometimes they just rob you, throw you out of the cab out in no where. lima is as deadly as mex city. welcome to NY!

      • Bob

Thailand use to be the same way. Don’t know if it still is, haven’t been there since 1972. The blame, not the killing.

Beware drivers coming from Third World areas or countries where the income gap is ridiculously large. They are so used to how they drive back home, they think they could do the same here. Driving alongside Taxis make me nervous. I treat them more like an enemy vehicle. I keep my distance and pay attention to how they drive because they will not hesitate to cut you off or box you out. I try hard to avoid areas with high taxi traffic, but a lot of times that’s unavoidable in Manhattan. If you’re visiting NYC, especially Manhattan, take the subway instead. The TLC is a powerful interest group here in the city.

And to think they were driving sober… (!)

BTW, you should check out the Iranian crash parts business. Per capita, Iranians — back home — have the highest ‘impact rating’ on the planet. No other ethnicity even comes close.

There are two businesses that can’t fail in Iran: mortuaries and body shops.
Or as an Iranian might put it: “If he leads, he bleeds.” (To be passed in rural traffic is to sustain an insult to your honor and manhood. Everyone drives like “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, World,” with the improv’ confined to collisions.

as i said: dont get into a taxi w/a 3rd world driver. daniel, did you find out about the law suits w/these cases? havnt the cab comps been sued? one would think if it cost them millions, the driver would be fired. also dont these suits lead to the companies folding? very creepy in NYC/boston etc. 2 drivers from “boston cab comp” blew up the world trade center. guess thats 2 that wont be on the road.

    • Daniel Greenfield

Hard to find non-third world drivers. Companies shell out big bucks for medallions and then cut costs with drivers. It’s usually better to phone one of the Latino car services. They tend to be more professional and cheaper.

      • laura r

daniel, there is an artical today in the NYtimes, “american born cab drivers a vanishing breed”- check it out. i dissagree about the latino car services. one guy from the DR threw my suitcases out of the cab in the middle of the street. he couldnt speak english, had a tantrum. thought the fare was for brooklyn, but when it was local he went crazy screaming. it was the wkend, & 100 degrees out, 1st ave & e. 28th st. (which is mostly hospitals, chain drugstores, & men w/turbans). it was “allen car service” in 2005. sorry but they all are savages. i have had some nice drivers that were latino, but we never know.

        • Daniel Greenfield

Yes hard to know. But car services are usually more professional than taxis.

          • laura r

word to the wise: the services change hands. one will buy out another. its like musical chairs. personally i like the one from boro park, theres no fooling around.

          • Daniel Greenfield

You can usually tell a lot about the place by the operator. Rude, abrasive operator means no concern for customer service.

  • SoCalMike

So if you lose a loved one to a cabbie in New York, just kill the cabbie at the scene because you know the authorities won’t dispense justice.

    • NAHALKIDES

No, they won’t dispense justice, but they will arrest you. It’s becoming like some third-world nation, where the government isn’t there to protect you but somehow its agents always show up to arrest you.

Or as an Iranian might put it: “If he brings, he will bleed.” (To be approved in non-urban visitors is to maintain an offend to your respect and penis. Everyone pushes like “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Globe,” with the improv’ limited to crashes.

Hey, when your driver training consisted of how to get a bomb laden car past barriers surrounding embassies…

  • apophis

New Yorkers need to boycott these scum sucking dogs from satan. Everyone will scream racism but who cares. I turned 12 taxis on my last NYC visit and for fun kept a toy poodle in my carry bag that I would pet after starting the ride. Wish they made mini-pigs. NYC sucks and I will not return til Blasio is long gone.

i used to open the door & get out when they stopped for a light, if the driver was arrogant. i would leave the door open to drive them crazy & i would run. then when guiliani was voted in, it was greatly improved. fast foward to bloomburg, then i had trouble w/a loation. he also threw the bags out of the taxie. i wish i hadnt paid him first, then i would have another public taxi drama. once i had a screaming muslim. when i got out, he stood on the sidewalk still screaming. he had a white robe beard cap. i had paid him but it wasnt good enough. there was a crowd of people who wanted to call police. the issue was that after 4pm it was $1.00 usd more. if he could speak english & act human…..but they get off of hysteria. once in 2004 i was riding w/another robed muslim driver. he was playing the koran. i didnt know what it was. i said i like your music. he said “it not music its my god”. i said “i want to buy the cd”. he said it belonged to his boss. i said i will give you $10. no deal, he wouldnt sell. i did enjoy listening to it.

      • defcon 4

I would’ve bought it and thrown it out in the street.

        • laura r

i like the call to prayer. the main mosque sent me a CD for free, they sent it to me over seas. it came w/a book too, which i threw out as it didnt interest me. the problem w/the CD was i only wanted to hear singing, but then each part was then translated in english. so i ended up throwing that out as well. it was a “beginners” kit of sorts. the music is nice, i like it.

Among the many virtues not prized by Muslims: basic competence. Islam is an alien, inferior, and hostile culture – where will we find leaders with the courage to stand up and say so?

    • laura r

      no.

  • laura r

“car sevice” is a limo, OR a van. the prices vary depending on which one. the vans or station wagons are same price as taxies for airport. the 5 star hotels use the best limos. i have used all 3 options in NY.

How many were by accident? Jihad by pretence?

  • Hard Little Machine

We need to respect their quaint and ancient cultures as well as their tendency to be simply be more passionate behind the wheel. Anyway are non Muslims and women even people?

off topic but relatable. in latin america (mex, Cent am) it is considered a macho game to speed, zipzag from one side of the street to the other. sometimes hitting someone & fleeing. the louder the big speaker is on top on the car, the more powerful the driver feels while going 80 an hr. if the driver gets caught after an accident he goes to jail for one night. usually for some $, he is released. when a bus driver hits someone they get out of the bus, & run. then they leave town for 3 months. they get another job somewhere else. then they return to the town & resume the old job. yes they are still speeding & driving the bus drunk. this can give you an idea of what you are dealing with.
