Ted Cruz Calls for End of Aid to PLO/Hamas Over US Hostage

While Hillary Clinton defends Hamas, Senator Ted Cruz has stepped up with a call for ending US tax dollars to terrorists.

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, released the following statement on the recent kidnapping of three teenagers in the West Bank:

“My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the three Jewish teenagers, two Israelis and one American, who have been kidnapped by radical Islamic terrorists. This atrocity against both our nations reminds us that we face a mutual enemy who attacks us because of our shared commitment to the basic principles of freedom.

“This act of terrorism should also alert the Obama Administration to the fact that working with, recognizing, and/or funding any ‘unity’ government that includes those that seek the destruction of the Jewish State is naive and foolish. Such legitimization of the enemies of Israel and the United States only invites more violence.

“President Obama should immediately direct the Department of State to suspend assistance to the Palestinian Authority until the PA recognizes Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state and takes specific and affirmative steps to renounce and eradicate terrorism. This most recent vicious attack on innocent young civilians demonstrates beyond any doubt that the PA is not fulfilling these conditions, and not one more U.S. taxpayer dollar should be sent to support them until they do.”

Meanwhile Obama insists on continuing to fund the PLO/Hamas unity terrorist regime. And Hillary insists on defending his decision.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told an audience in Toronto on Monday that she supported President Barack Obama’s decision to work with the Palestinian Authority’s new unity government, even though it includes the Hamas terror organization, because the new governing officials are “largely technocrats.”

“I think it’s a holding position,” Clinton said, describing Obama’s stance. “And the reason it’s a holding position is that the makeup of this joint [Fatah-Hamas] enterprise are largely technocrats. They’re academics and they’re business people. They don’t represent sort of, what you might call hard-core Hamas leadership.”

A holding position is Hillary’s stance on everything.

I wonder if Hillary knows the definition of the word technocrat. Near as I can tell the only technology Hamas has any working knowledge of are automatic rifles and hamascide vets.

    • truebearing

It’s a euphemism for bomb makers.

      “hamascide” LOL!

Smart move by Cruz … clear and forceful, a contrast from Hillary’s pathetic response. If we can get some bipartisan support for a cut in aid, it will be a major step.

    • Americana

I’m wondering where the corollary part of Cruz’ statement is and when he’s going to make that announcement — that Israel must recognize the right of the Palestinian state to exist?

I can certainly see him shooting this off in their direction — as is w/only the insistence on mentioning Israeli’s rights — because of the kidnapping, but he’s going to have to address the entire spectrum of the problem at some point.

      • Webb

        Not gonna happen, moonbat.

      • liz

“The right of the Palestinian state to exist”? What Palestinian state? There isn’t one, and there never was one.

        • objectivefactsmatter

You have to build a legitimate state before you can assert that is has “rights.”

Are you serious? Oslo Accords. Follow the historical timeline please. Objectively.

When are “progressives” going to acknowledge that terrorism is a product of Islamism and that supporting the terrorist death cult of “paleswine” is an insult to humanity?

      • Daniel Greenfield

Which Palestinian state? The one run by Hamas or the PLO or the King of Jordan?

  • guanta22

Conservatives can’t have it both ways. On the one hand, they want all U.S. funding to be cut off to the Palestinian Authority because they formed a government with Hamas.

On the other hand, they really don’t want the aid to be completely cut off because that aid is a vital tool the U.S. uses to make the Palestinian Authority completely dependent on aid for its survival, which they use as a tool of blackmail to further Israel’s interest.

Also, cutting off aid would also cut off funding to Palestinian security services that collaborate with Israel against the Palestinian people, so if the aid was cut, these security services would have no reason to work with Israel anymore.

    • Bulan Sabriel

Becuase your goal is another war which will kill thousands of Palestnians. So be it. This time Israel treats the Arabs as they would treat Jews: ethnically cleanse the occupying Muslims.

As Arabs treat Arabs in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan.

    • Daniel Greenfield

Nope. Conservatives want it one way.

      No money for terrorists.

The PLO’s security services are terrorist groups that occasionally team up against Hamas, but then team up with Hamas.

      • Johnny Palestine

Conservatives want to end ALL foreign aid and instead use funds for Detroit and other American cities.

I am not an American citizen but I must agree. Stop printing toilet paper, I mean wall paper, I mean currency too.

Allow Israel to repossess the Sinai and its oil reserves and turn Hamas into hamburgers and Fatah into feta.

        • objectivefactsmatter

“Allow Israel to repossess the Sinai and its oil reserves and turn Hamas into hamburgers and Fatah into feta.”

That’s the smartest thing you’ve said AFAIK. Just don’t ask me to eat any of the byproducts.

Funds for Detroit? The city of Detroit or “Detroit” as the US auto manufacturing center?

Trillions would not help the city of Detroit. The city needs new leadership. Throwing money at Detroit is as useful as throwing money at Haiti or some dictatorship in Africa or the Middle East.

The US should take over the oil fields of the Middle East and lower the price of oil from $100 per barrel to $10 per barrel.

        • RockNRollUighur

Sounds great to me. Foreign aid should not only be cut off but Israel and the Palestinians should be forced to pay it back

    • truebearing

Wrong. The Palestinians get aid from other places as well. Our aid isn’t sufficient for any leverage whatsoever, as history has proven.

    • gerry

Conservatives don’t want to send funds to Hamas or the Palestinian authority.Understand!

      • RockNRollUighur

I’d get behind a constitutional amendment to forbid a single penny of US taxpayers’ money from going to any Middle Eastern nation.

        • Bulan Sabriel

          Are you actually a Uyghur?

  • wileyvet

Is Ted Cruz the only politician in America with any B#lls?
It is a joke that this terrorist organization, PLO is given any legitimacy at all, not to mention funding that goes towards terrorizing Israel. In 1956 The Sinai Campaign had the opportunity to crush the recently installed Nasser government of Egypt. It is unlikely he could have survived such a devastating blow. He would have been slapped down, revealed as weak, and would not have been around to be the sh*t disturber that he became, and would not have subsequently created the PLO and his country would not have been in any position to launch 2 genocidal wars against Israel. However, it was not done, and the PLO has been a murderous band of thugs for the last 50 years. Again, in 1982 Israel went into Lebanon to ferret them out, but instead of being allowed to finish them off, Israel was vilified after the incidents at Sabra and Shatilla refugee camps. The PLO was not eradicated, and lived to fight another day. Lebanon was not stabilized as Syria has had its tentacles there for decades, followed by the rise of Hezbollah and its Iranian backers. What followed in 1983 was the US Embassy bombing and the Marine Barrack Bombing, and the withdrawal of US troops. Every time after failure to crack down on Muslim terrorists or rogue countries, an emboldened enemy has reappeared. Thirty two years later, the smug murderous faces of the PLO stare back at us from our media, and we continue to accept their lies and fail to rein them in. This has been and continues to be a tragic farce.

There are partial solutions and solutions. Ending the aid is a partial solution, which I agree with 1000%. Ending the fraud of Palestine is the solution.

Cruz is spot on, as usual. He makes Hillary look like the dull-witted dotard that she is. I would love to see the two in a debate. The only problem is that Cruz would have to ease off crushing her like he easily could because the media would be sniveling about his “bullying a woman” if he gave her both barrels.

    • 4arepublic

I think it is time to take off the gloves and use Shrillary’s own words to destroy her. The drive by media are fully corrupted and will never stop being propagandists for the socialists/communists/progtards. Some entrepreneur with connections should broadcast such a debate on pay per view.

  • SoCalMike

Any politician with their fingerprints on money going to HAMAS deserves prison.
They actually deserve much worse but we can’t write such things in an open forum.

  • gerry

This is the difference between America and Russia.Americans can be taken hostage, sodomised killed etc etc.Just take a Russian hostage and see what ensue.Remember Lebanon. No wonder Putin is respected around the world.

    • Tom Winegar

Wasn’t it Lebanon where they found kidnappers hanging from trees with their stuff in their mouths?

  • Tom Winegar

Send the Palestinians home to Jordan whether Jordan wants them or not.

    • uleaveuswithnoalternative

The Arabs who call themselves “Palestinians” are already living in camps in Jordan, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon. These Arab nations have denied citizenship to their fellow Arabs for over 66 years, and the UN has given
them “permanent refugee status” – the only group in the world to ever receive this designation..
Five to seven MILLION Arabs who have NEVER set foot in Israel (descendants of the original 250,000 – 400,000 Arabs who fled Israel in 1948), demand their “right of return” on a daily basis.
Why does the world buy into this ridiculous propaganda by murderous primitives?

  • BMS

Thank goodness for someone like Ted Cruz.. A terrorist organization is a terrorist organization no matter how the President or the media that are in his lap want to spin it . American taxpayers don’t need or want their hard earned money going to terrorists. Let the President donate his salary to them if he chooses. Leave us out of it.

  • Ruvane

it is the ultra liberal jewish democrats that are the problem

    • Johnny Palestine

      AMEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • truebearing

They aren’t a big enough group. Single white women are a bigger problem, but the biggest problem are the fools who don’t know anything, don’t bother to learn anything, and can’t see that our survival is ultimately at stake. This group doesn’t vote at all. If they could be educated and motivated, we could crush the Left, but apathy reigns while the food stamps flow.

      • Ruvane

its true what you say i am just upset that my people who are so successful and well educated idolize this ape in the white house

  • hrwolfe

and a video got 4 killed in Benghazi. Does the lies ever end? With the world in flames cqan anybody really look at her sith a streight face and say she is right? If anybody does somebody should grab their car keys cause they are too drunk to drive. This women has a horrid track record of no accomplishments and is a proven fabricator of facts (liar) and she is a serious contender for President? If she is elected we are lost, not just because of her reign but we no longer have a population capable of cognizant thinking.

  • c0mm0ncenz

Hillary dear, is it logical to conclude from your statement: that Hamas is all just technocrats, and Hamas kidnapped Israeli kids, so technocrats are terrorist kidnappers?
