Yeah, the house tarp story caused me to bristle too. Then I had this thought. Doesn't make sense to tarp a whole house...but just the front door area? That would be doable. And the two goofs from the bar? As with spagetti, if you throw enough goofs around, some of it will end up in the oddest places. There aren't too many parts of the talk that defy reality, really. After all, we are talking about politics lol.

Which liar in chief said the following:

Islam has no doctrine

science, medicine and philosophy but for many centuries, Islam led the
Christian world in terms of religious toleration. Relations between America and
Islamic countries are strained because of the perception that the United States

As a DEA agent, I had many occasions to work with or interact with the Secret Service. I had great respect for them. For agents to share these stories to a reporter about those they protected is a violation of their professional code of conduct when they are guarding presidents and their families because they will be exposed to all the warts. Yet, when agents from different agencies got together these stories have a way of coming out. LBJ was a legend and the source of the best stories. Suffice to say, he treated the Secret Service like crap.

The best I heard was that after LBJ was laid to rest on his estate, that night one of the agents walked down to the grave site and took a pee over it.

Walking by an ammo box and not thinking it out isn't the same as seeing a picture of a house waving in the breeze. Visualize it. Just isn't plausible. BTW, I was in the Navy also and ammo boxes were used for all kinds of things just like now. Obtaining one for some special use was common. Wouldn't be all that suspicious.

When I was in the Navy, I found out a lot about how to hide things. For instance, I was on a ship with a highly classified device that was hidden in a .30 cal. ammo box. The device had to be hidden, but it had to be on the weather deck (deck exposed to weather) to work. How to hide it?
Well, we just chained it the lifeline with a bicycle chain and left it in the ammo box...so it looked like an ammo box chained to the lifeline. No one ever asked about or noticed it. It helped the device was battery operated. Funny thing, our ship did not have any .30 cal guns on it, not one. Even the Gunner's Mates didn't "see" it and they walked by it a zillion times a day going to the 3.5 guns.

A tarp in front of a house? Very effective. Why? Think of it, if you were not looking for it, you would not see it. That is the way the mind works. It is also why women make better agents than men, they notice small details that men miss.

The agency wouldn't use a bus? Two drunks wouldn't accidentally get on it? Are you kidding me?

In Woodward's case, back in the day many airports used white limo's for arriving/departing passengers. The drivers parked where they were told and drove to where they were told. I find it odd she knew it was parked there, but maybe she drove by it and saw him getting out?

Drunks in the bushes? As a former heavy drinker, it was good to find home, even on four feet. How else was she going to get home?

Some stuff sounded far fetched, but when at about 22:00 he talked about when agents wanted to bug a house they would take a picture of the house and blow it up onto a large tarp which they would drape down over the house so that bystanders and passers by would not see them while they were working behind the tarp, then all credulity was shot. What idiot wouldn't be able to tell that was a huge tarp with a picture on it hanging in front of the house? Who in their right mind would mistake that for a house?
The story about the bus and the two guys getting onto it and getting off and running away scared was a little far out there too. Sounds like a campy B-grade movie with bad writers and actors.
The story about Mark Felt's daughter telling about Bob Woodward coming to have lunch a year earlier and arriving in a white limousine parking it 10 blocks away. Why would Woodward arrive in a white limousine? Parking it 10 whole blocks away and then walking? What transportation did they use to go out to lunch? And how would she know those details? Woodward just said "My white limo is parked 10 blocks away"?
Then the story about Pat Nixon at San Clemente totally drunk and crawling around in the bushes looking for her house makes me wonder too. OK, I would believe finding Pat Nixon drunk, but crawling around in the bushes looking for her house?
Come on now! Some of this stuff smacks of cartoon antics.
