I think it’s interesting that the editors of Front Page Magazine seem inclined to blame Obama for ISIS and everything that is now happening in Iraq. As if somehow the condition of ethnic and religious minorities wasn’t far better under Saddam Hussein. Here’s the question. Do the editors of Front Page Magazine really think their readers are so gullible? Just wondering.

    • fiddler

Does the main stream news media, who failed to properly objectively vet the current president think the viewing public are so gullible and easily manipulated? Uh, you bet. The time has come to vet the media since they are certainly not interested in crossing the PC line as far as accountability and instead vilifying anyone who is critical. We have had enough of special treatment of people. Any elected official should meet the muster of proper vetting and not cheerleading and the individual should show a good measure of humility that they are granted this stewardship. This administration declared “elections have consequences”. Oh boy, and what consequences!

      • Texas Patriot

I agree. But the responsibility for the current situation is not limited to the current administration. Rather, as many commentators are beginning to realize, the essential reality of the threat now faced by the civilized world is something that has been growing for the last forty years but only now is beginning to come into focus.

You’re the problem, Tex — for voting for Obama and now suckling him nonstop. Come up for some air and look around.

          • Texas Patriot

Webb: You’re the problem, Tex — for voting for Obama and now suckling him nonstop. Come up for some air and look around.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I didn’t vote for Obama in 2008 or in 2012. I do wish him well, though, especially in the extremely difficult task of defending America and our allies against the global threat of Islamic jihad. His best moment so far occurred when he became the first Western leader to strike the Islamic State and in the process saved the Kurds and Yazidis from almost certain extinction. If any of that is a surprise to you, perhaps you’re the one who needs to come up and look around.

          • Webb

Oh, I thought his best moment so far was when he sodomized the night away while our guys in Benghazi were being killed. The world suddenly finds itself at war — does that ‘suddenly’ include 9/11/01, or was that an isolated incident? Wow, if his way too little way too late non-performance excites you, you’d really be impressed by his golf scores.

          • Texas Patriot

Webb: The world suddenly finds itself at war — does that ‘suddenly’ include 9/11/01, or was that an isolated incident?

Notwithstanding the assurances of President Bush President Obama, British Prime Minister David Cameron and many others, Islamic radicals have been actively at war with the West since assassins attacked Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics in 1992.

President Obama got his first major wake up call on September 11, 2012 when Islamic radicals that we had helped to overthrow Gaddafi suddenly turned on America and assassinated our diplomats at Benghazi accompanied by world-wide chants of “Obama, Obama, We’re All Osama.” But apparently the message didn’t finally get through until last week when Islamic radicals displaced more than 40,000 Yazidis from their homes and left them to die on a deserted mountaintop with no food and no water.

Has Obama finally woken up? Has David Horowitz? Have you? Time will tell. But Obama’s decision to stop the Islamic State from overrunning Irbil may represent a crossing of the Rubicon for Western governments. We shall see.

          • Webb

Ahhh, so the world was ‘suddenly’ at war during the Munich Olympics, yet only the great Tex was aware. You should be president and Horowitz all rolled into one. Except you’re crazier than a peach orchard boar, and have gone off over the hill. Far over the hill . . . Sayonara! Don’t hurry back.

I know the truth is hard to digest for someone used to a steady diet of warmed-over political pablum, but I have great confidence in you. If you think you’re up to it, here’s something for you to think about. As Thomas Jefferson discovered more than two hundred years ago, there has never been a time when Islam has not been at war with all of the rest of the non-Muslim world, including America. But until very recently no one seems to have been aware of that fact. Strange, don’t you think?

Sorry Tex, I posted a lengthy reply an hour ago with no profanity, and it didn’t get posted, so I think I’m done with posting on FPM.

I wouldn’t get too concerned about that. These sites seem to be policed by “autobots” that are trained to flag and put holds on any post with a possibly controversial combination of words. Just take a look at what you’ve posted and if you’re not entirely happy with it, delete it yourself. I hope you don’t leave. I’ve learned all sorts of interesting things from you!

        • Drakken

Your faith in this administration acting in a positive manner is misguided and feckless. Your good buddy is in the middle of a kabuki theater of looking like he is doing something and in typical Obummer fashion is tepid and half azzed like he always does. in case it escaped your notice, your hero Obummer always reacts a day late and a dollar short instead of being proactive about it.

          • Texas Patriot

I think Obama may have the right approach in containing the Islamic State rather than trying to destroy it. Let’s let Khalifa Ibrahim build his idyllic Islamic Caliphate for all the world to see.

      • Americana

There’s been no failure “of proper vetting” viz Pres. Obama. He’s an American who’s got a Kenyan father from whom he was separated at a very young age. He’s hardly likely to be a staunch Muslim on that basis of a distant father figure who’s Muslim or on the basis of a short stint living for a few years of his childhood in Indonesia. The attempt to portray Pres. Obama as a Muslim tactician and apologist because of his personal history when it’s very obvious he’s struggling w/the very same international Muslim policy issues all recent U.S. Presidents have struggled with is unconscionable. To attempt to vilify him and portray him as anti-Israel simply because Obama insists on recognition of the Palestinians and a diplomatic solution to their plight is nonsensical. It’s as if the most fifth-rate, worst Fifth Columnists have been asked to write this anti-Obama script and rather than write honestly about the situation, they prefer to transform facts into friction. (sic)

        • Texas Patriot

Americana: It’s as if the most fifth-rate, worst Fifth Columnists have been asked to write this anti-Obama script … rather than write honestly about the situation

I agree with those remarks, and I really don’t understand it. The way the editors of this webpage choose to frame their arguments and present their material, it’s more like the gossip column of a junior high newspaper rather than professional coverage by a major news organization. It’s too bad, because they have some really talented writers with important stories to tell, particularly Raymond Ibrahim and Daniel Greenfield.

          • Webb

And the talented writers think you’re totally untalented when it comes to thinking critically, and dumber than a box of rocks. Americana. Is. Your. Only. Friend. What does that tell ya? Har!

Webb: And the talented writers think you’re totally untalented when it comes to thinking critically, and dumber than a box of rocks. Americana. Is. Your. Only. Friend. What does that tell ya? Har!

You’re just a barrel of laughs.

          • Webb

Ah yes, Tex, you would tear any of them — plus this Horowitz — apart in a debate. At your prowess I would assume the fetal position and suck my thumb.

          • Drakken

The fact that you and Americana fully support, defend and make excuses for Obummer and all of his failures makes you folks apologists for continuous failures of this administration and your wishful thinking and rainbows and unicorns policies and thought process flies in the face of cold, harsh, brutal reality. The more your hero Obummer dithers and displays weakness in the face of muslim aggression only makes conflict inevitable. The only way you folks on the left are going to wake up to this reality is when it lands on your doorsteps and then complain that no one acted soon enough.

          • Texas Patriot

Drakken: The more your hero Obummer dithers and displays weakness in the face of muslim aggression only makes conflict inevitable.

Drak, conflict is not only “inevitable”, it’s already happening. The only question is how it’s going to turn out and who’s going to win.

        • Webb

How is that insisting on recognition and a diplomatic solution working out for him anyway? Is he gitten ‘er done? Or did he fart, fumble, and fall down again?

If you’re the kind of reader David Horowitz is hoping to attract, the way he presents his journalism probably makes perfect sense.

So you’re saying Hussein farted, fumbled, and fell down once again. “You should admit your situation. There would be more dignity in it.” ~Anton Chigurh

You really have to give David Horowitz a lot of credit for being able to attract a guy like you.

I can’t believe you would stop suckling Obama long enough to write such a thing. Back on your calloused knees, Tex! I don’t remember asking you for your opinion.

Hilarious. Let me guess. You are exactly the kind of reader David Horowitz is looking for. Am I right?

        • Webb

The kind of reader who knows what a pathetic douchebag you are.

I have no idea what a “pathetic douchebag” is. But I’ll continue to assume that you know much more about that subject than I do.

          • Webb

He’s the guy the senior drill sergeant makes run around the outside of a company formation with his rifle held high over his head as it marches, yelling, “I am a douchebag! I’m a pathetic douchebag!” That guy is you, Tex. I remember him well.

It’s not just Obama helping ISIS its Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar too.

  • RMThoughts

It should be noted, initially, that months of murder, mayhem and brutality by ISIS on Christians and other minorities didn’t cause the U.S. or France to intervene militarily for “humanitarian” reasons.

The U.S. and France have never lifted a finger to protect the Kurds. Indeed, the U.S. has actively betrayed the Kurds and let them be slaughtered. For example, during the Gulf War, the U.S. called on the Kurds to rise up against Saddam (implying that he would protect them), but then let Saddam slaughter the Kurds en masse.

So why are the U.S. and France moving now to protect Erbil?

Because Erbil has now become a major oil center. The Kurdish government estimates that the region is the world’s 9th largest oil producer.

      Outstanding observation! I salute you.

Your insight made TexiCana STFU. Good job.

  • Dan Knight

Reminds me of … Bosnia and Kosovo and Serbia. Oh, wait. We’ve all forgotten, but we were told that a Communist government’s military and secret police were raping and murdering Muslims. Clinton did nothing during phases 1.5 involving Bosnia, but after taking heat on the 800,000 slaughtered in Rwanda (like that’s connected right?) and something about a blue dress: America discovered that Christians were committing genocide. No proof. Just some accusations about some people who went missing In Muslim Controlled Areas. Then, pow. Bombs from the sky, thousands killed, and not one death camp identified.

But if Muslims commit actual genocide – Blame Israel!

  • Dan Knight

How can you defend Hamas? Oh, wait … you support rape, baby murder, mass murder, and violence to achieve political aims. What’s a few (billions) of destroyed lives compared to Utopia for a handful of Leftists?

  • John

Oil for Islam, and sell out your country at the same time, for a false peace that’s coming. The Kurds will not lift a finger to help Christians. Just like in Egypt, ask the Coptics how they are treated.

  • John

Muslims don’t care what you think. Their religion will not set them free. You don’t even have to provoke Islam, it provokes itself by the sword.
