Abbas’ Deceit at the Vatican

Joseph Klein is a Harvard-trained lawyer and the author of Global Deception: The UN’s Stealth Assault on America’s Freedom and Lethal Engagement: Barack Hussein Obama, the United Nations & Radical Islam.

Pope Francis walks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas during arrival ceremony at presidential palace in BethlehemPope Francis provided a nice backdrop for a so-called “prayer summit” in the Vatican gardens on June 8th, attended by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli President Shimon Peres. “It is my hope that this meeting will mark the beginning of a new journey where we seek the things that unite, so as to overcome the things that divide,” Pope Francis said at the prayer ceremony. Prayers and readings were provided by Jews, Christians and Muslims, followed by remarks from the pope and the two presidents.  Each set of prayers praised God for creation, begged forgiveness of sins and asked for peace in the Holy Land.

In an obviously orchestrated photo op, Presidents Abbas and Peres embraced in the presence of the pope. “Nice to see you,” Peres and Abbas said to each other in English. At the end of the ceremony, they took up shovels to add dirt to the base of a newly planted olive tree.

Politics were not intended to be on the agenda. This was a prayer summit, after all. Abbas even managed to avoid using the word “occupation,” at least according to the English translation of his prepared remarks.  He offered a prayer for peace: “O Lord, bring comprehensive and just peace to our country and region so that our people and the peoples of the Middle East and the whole world would enjoy the fruit of peace, stability and coexistence.” He presented the Palestinians as a people “craving for a just peace, dignified living and liberty.” He also was quoted as saying: “We want peace for us and for our neighbors. We seek prosperity and peace of mind for ourselves and for others alike.”

In other words, Abbas laid it on very thick with nice words that sound like themes on which the Israelis and Palestinians could unite. But they are just hollow words. Interspersed was his divisive reference to Jerusalem as “our Holy City.” And the elephant in the room was his pact with Hamas.

The “things that unite,” which Pope Francis was hoping could become the key to achieving peace between the Israelis and Palestinians, are in reality found only in the unity agreement between Abbas and the jihadist organization that wants to destroy the Jewish state completely, Hamas. Despite Abbas’s assurances that the unity government will adhere to the principles of recognition of the state of Israel and renouncing of violence, Hamas’s leader Ismail Haniyeh is having nothing to do with that program. “Hamas’s strategy has not changed and will not change,” he declared on June 8th at the opening session of the jihadist training “summer camps” in Gaza that indoctrinate children to hate Jews. “We emphasize now that we will not retreat from out plan to liberate our lands and ensure the right of return…”

As Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, who did not attend the Vatican ceremony, said during a cabinet meeting on Sunday in Jerusalem, “Whoever hoped that the Palestinian unity between Fatah and Hamas would moderate Hamas is mistaken.” The Obama administration, as well as much of the international community that does not live daily under the shadow of Hamas, have decided to recognize the new interim Palestinian government resulting from Abbas’s pact with Hamas. They are doing so on the basis of the mistaken belief that Hamas or any jihadists can be “moderated.”

Indeed, it was reported in Buzzfeed that the U.S. has been secretly holding talks with Hamas for months through back channels. The Obama administration has denied the report. However, after the release of the five dangerous, high-level terrorists from Guantanamo, worked out secretly by the Obama administration with the Taliban in exchange for securing the release of Bowe Bergdahl, it is more likely than not that the report is true.

Abbas’s visit to the Vatican is all in keeping with his propaganda campaign to convince the West that he is sincere about seeking real peace with Israel, which he is not. On the very day that Abbas was making nice at the Vatican, a former Hamas government spokesman, Ihab al-Ghussein, revealed that Abbas has said in private meetings he is lying in public statements to “trick the Americans.”

As reported in Arutz Sheva, Ihab al-Ghussein wrote on Facebook that “behind closed doors,” Abbas had said: “Guys, let me (continue) saying what I say to the media. Those words are meant for the Americans and the occupation (i.e., Israel), not for you. What’s important is what we agree on among ourselves. …Don’t harp on everything I tell the media, forget about the statements in the media.”

Abbas was following his own self-declared script of deceit at the Vatican.  His words were nothing more than a blatant display of taqiyya (lying to unbelievers). We should take the advice that he gave to Hamas – forget about his public words of seeking genuine peace with Israel as they mean absolutely nothing.

Arutz Sheva was an illegal radio (pirate) station, the elites / oligarchs don’t want these alternative voices in Israel and if they could shut down the internet they would do it. It’s important to distinguish between the Isreaeli people themselves and their evil multi-billionaire sell-out faux leadership.

Keeping the Little People from communicating amongst themselves will be a proven goal of the World Wide Political Elites and those who control them. I am sure those Little People in any country who expose the elites via the internet is a thorn in their sides.

Does the Catholic church expect me to grow and nurture some sort of affinity toward the Palestinians because his Holiness decides to make a public showing of his leanings in this cause?
I grew up Catholic but find myself drawn away from it more and more as I grow and mature spiritually. No offense or insult toward those who choose to follow this path of Christianity, but it’s no longer for me. To be honest, I find myself respecting Judaism far more than the RC church and if I had more time on my hands, I’d convert in a heartbeat.

Do not malign this good man of God. He wants peace in the world. That’s his role as Pope. Do not reduce him to the lowly status of bigot…. please.

So you believe everything you learned in school? Everything? You don’t believe the Vatican can be corruptible? Politically, this Pope is all over the place. It seems as if he’s in a tug-of-war with the higher-archy of the Holy See. Reason I say this is because I have seen it close up working in DC. Same MO.

The word you used that set off the little Bag Lady was Judaism. She hates Judaism and Israel. In fact she hates Indians (from India) and calls them ignorant. She hates a lot of people. What’s the Biblical problem with Catholicism .https://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0071/0071_01.asp The biblical truth is given because one love another to tell then the truth so they can gain heaven .The truth offense Catholics because they to often care not for the truth .

What sadly most Catholics fail to really comprehend Jesus went to the cross in our place .He did this to offer us the free gift of forgiveness and assurance of heaven .Not like catholic and many other groups who think they can merit their own salvation by doing works .They place a burden on people that they can never over come . . Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 1 John 1 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. You can have absolute assurance of heaven if you simply do that scripture says .Ask Jesus and he will forgive ALL and Cleanse you .. and some will quote James but they twist scripture out of context .James is speaking to those already saved forgiven and heaven bound .He telling Christians how to know you are a true Christians .James is doing the example of 2 Corinthians 13 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you–unless, of course, you fail the test? The Catholicism in their own words says your damned if you think your sin are forgiven without having to do works and purgatory .Canon 30: “If any one saith, that, after the grace of Justification has been received, to every penitent sinner the guilt is remitted, and the debt of eternal punishment is blotted out in such wise, that there remains not any debt of temporal punishment to be discharged either in this world, or in the next in Purgatory, before the entrance to the kingdom of heaven can be opened (to him); let him be anathema.” means damned …
What the bible says “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,” (Rom. 5:1).
“And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.” (Col. 2:13-14)next works salvation . Canon 24: “If any one saith, that the justice received is not preserved and also increased before God through good works; but that the said works are merely the fruits and signs of Justification obtained, but not a cause of the increase thereof; let him be anathema.”
What the bible says “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?” (Gal. 3:1-3).
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 3For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.” (Gal. 5:1-3). Next Canon 30: “If any one saith, that, after the grace of Justification has been received, to every penitent sinner the guilt is remitted, and the debt of eternal punishment is blotted out in such wise, that there remains not any debt of temporal punishment to be discharged either in this world, or in the next in Purgatory, before the entrance to the kingdom of heaven can be opened (to him); let him be anathema.”

You are taking a large step in the right direction. I too used to be a Catholic, but after prayerfully studying the Bible, I KNOW we are to follow Torah as Jesus (Yeshua) told us to. If you keep (guard) the Sabbath-and the other Feasts of God (they are NOT Jewish feasts) as Jesus did, and prayerfully study the Bible the Holy Spirit WILL teach you how to continue to get closer to God (Yehoveh).

Don’t all politicians say this? I know I would.

  • Donald J DaCosta

” forget about his public words of seeking genuine peace with Israel as they mean absolutely nothing.” Hard to believe that this is not already cast in stone among the American intelligence elite. But where is the evidence? Based on what is publicly apparent, Obama and much of the American diplomatic community appear to fall for and act upon Abbas’ public pronouncements. If this is by some secret Intelligence design that is secretly shared with the Israelis, “secret” would be a gross understatement.

After over 20 years of futility since the Oslo Accords, it’s hard to be convinced that this is possibly true. Question is, why do so many in elevated positions of authority buy into this gross lie given decades of evidence to the contrary? Eternal optimism? A common, united, global concern for basic human rights, liberty and justice?

At some point appeasement has to be recognized as an exercise in futility. Furthermore it should by now be common knowledge that Abbas and the entire “silent” Arab community envision a state of Palestine existing from the river to the sea; i.e., devoid of Israel and the Jews. Palestinian leadership has not lied about this, have stated as much repeatedly and, to my knowledge, have never been rebuked by the Arab community, for seeking this end goal.

So, what is the solution to this problem? There will be none unless there occurs an entire transformation or reformation of Islam which is imbued with Jew hatred. But Islam is a “religion of peace.” Repeat 10 times each night following your evening, bedtime prayers. Get with the program!

    • Americana

If PM Abbas (I realize some think he should only be accorded his PA title) is now willing to admit that he recognizes Israel as a Jewish state and that he wishes to form a state on the Palestinian borders, I say we honor that request. We will not be able to secure 100% compliance w/any peace accord throughout all of Palestinian society but we can attempt to tamp down this jihad w/a peace treaty establishing a Palestinian state and see where that peace accord leads us. It certainly cannot get any worse even if people are claiming so.

      • Donald J DaCosta

This has been going on for the past 20 years; 1st with Arafat, now with Mahmoud Abbas. The Palestinians and the Arab street are masters at 1st provoking, then blaming Israel for responding to massive rocket attacks aimed at non-military targets in Israel, for the commission of the very atrocities the Palestinians themselves initiated. The Palestinians have formed a film company to create video images of these alleged atrocities. It’s called Pallywood (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pallywood) and its creation says volumes about the “peaceful intentions” of the Palestinian leadership. What they are about is the annihilation of Israel and they have largely succeeded in turning much of the world against this tiny country which, by any objective measure, should be viewed as a model to be emulated, not reviled.

What you are suggesting is to give peace a chance. Who can argue against that? No one except the guys who have demonstrated time and time again that they have no interest in a peaceful solution. In a sane world those who are referred to as the Arab street could fix this seemingly intransigent problem by clamping a lid on Palestinian, and now Hamas,
aggression, but adding the latter to the mix, a militant, terrorist
group supported by Iran, does not bode well for the peace process nor is it a step in the right direction……..at least not for Israel. The election of Muslim Brotherhood supporter, Obama, only exacerbates Israel’s problem. If Israel is forced to defend itself what will be America’s response given Obama as the Commander in Chief?

I hear your concern and respect your view but have no hope that it will succeed. Call me a pessimist.

      • Drakken

Abbas the PLO terrorist that he was and is should have met the devil a long time ago, it still isn’t too late to do so. There is not nor will there ever be a Fakestinian so called society, nothing but desert savages who either need to be in Jordan or Egyptian Sinai.

history and statistics prove you’re wrong- each and every “piece by piece” “agreement” has brought MORE DEAD JEWS, more increased fakestinian violence. I say honor NOTHING b/c it’s all lies anyway-Israel should make crazy demands before any meetings and just say no- 1967 is a LONG time ago and brought and bought nothing for ISRAEL- no state for a make pretend “cause”

This pope is a media-whore, a Jew-hater and a trendy Islamophile who just went out of his way in Israel to insult the Jewish People. He is a rampant Leftist, his “idol” is Che Guevara who condoned torture (talk about “peace loving”), his first publicity seeking act after UNFORTUNATELY being given the seat of St. Peter was to kiss the feet of a young muslim woman – and now – while his flock, Christians, are being tortured, crucified, raped, massacred, he not only schmuses with those who murder them – but what is more: in this last act he actually invited an Iman to PRAY THE MUSLIM PRAYER – he did it in arabic – but now it has been translated, and so we can see that this “prayer” closed with the words: ” Please Allah give us victory over the non-believers” or words to that effect.

I am nauseated by this impostor. Yes, I am Catholic.
