Palestinian Bloodlust Unleashed

ShowImage.ashxTwo Palestinian thugs, armed with cleavers, knives and a gun, invaded an orthodox synagogue in West Jerusalem early Tuesday during morning prayers, and proceeded to murder four Jewish worshippers in cold blood. At least a dozen others were wounded. Three of the murder victims were American citizens. The fourth was a British citizen. Three of the victims were also rabbis. Israeli police, arriving at the scene of the horrific massacre and exchanging gunfire with the Palestinians as they tried to escape, shot the murderers to death. But the horrible images of the slain and wounded worshippers with blood everywhere, drenching holy books, prayer shawls and walls of the synagogue, will live on for a very long time.

“To see Jews wearing tefillin and wrapped in the tallit lying in pools of blood, I wondered if I was imagining scenes from the Holocaust,” said Yehuda Meshi Zahav, the veteran leader of a religious emergency-response team as quoted by the New York Times. “It was a massacre of Jews at prayer.”

At least ten Jews have now been run over by cars and killed, or have been stabbed to death by Palestinians during the last month. Call this latest spate of violence the “Car Intifada,” as some Palestinian social media refer to it with a song by that name, or the “Knife Intifada,” as other Palestinians have coined it. Either way, Palestinian leaders have Jewish blood on their hands after exhorting their followers to commit such violent acts. The inciters to murder are as guilty as the murderers themselves.

Predictably, Hamas praised the cowardly synagogue attack as a “heroic” act. Hamas’s leadership claimed that the brutal murders were justified as legitimate responses to Israeli actions. “There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time,” a spokesman for Hamas declared. Senior Hamas official Ghazi Hamad told Al Jazeera International to expect “more revolution in Jerusalem, and more uprising.”

A Hamas official posted an image of a grotesque poster depicting the attack on his Facebook page. It showed Palestinians brandishing guns and a bloodied knife rampaging through a synagogue with bodies of Jews strewn on the floor and other Jews trying to flee the terror. In the evil perverted minds of Hamas jihadists and their ilk, the killing of Jews even while praying in their own synagogue far removed from the Temple Mount is a cause for great celebration.

Palestinian Authority President Abbas, whose talk of a “religious war” and other incendiary rhetoric helped to incite the latest in a series of violent attacks against Jewish civilians in Jerusalem and elsewhere, issued a formulaic condemnation of the synagogue killings. At the same time he continued his lie-ridden rant against Israelis:

The president always condemns killings of civilians from any party whatsoever, and condemns the killing of worshipers today in one of the houses of worship in West Jerusalem, and also denounces all violent acts no matter what their source is, and demands an end to the ongoing incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the provocative acts by Israeli settlers as well as incitement by some Israeli ministers.

The presidency also confirms that it is time to end the occupation and end the causes of tension and violence, affirming our commitment to a just-based solution on the basis of a two-state solution, in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy, and maintain an atmosphere of calm and understandings that have been made with King Abdullah II and American Secretary of State John Kerry in Amman.

Meanwhile, official Palestinian Authority television is reported to have broadcast disgusting images of Bethlehem residents handing out candy in the streets, to celebrate the attack. And an official spokesman for Abbas’s Fatah party, Ahmed Assaf, said that “the Jerusalem operation was a natural response to the Israeli violations.”

Secretary of State Kerry, who just a few days ago expressed his belief that tensions in Jerusalem were beginning to de-escalate, issued a strong condemnation of the synagogue murders. “To have this kind of act, which is a pure result of incitement, of calls for ‘days of rage,’ of just irresponsibility, is unacceptable,” Kerry said. “The Palestinian leadership must condemn this and they must begin to take serious steps to restrain any kind of incitement …This simply has no place in human behavior and we need to hear from leaders who are going to lead their people to a different place.”

Clearly, Abbas and his henchmen have not gotten Kerry’s message. And Hamas seeks to characterize the synagogue slaughters as delivering a very different type of message. Mushir al-Masri, a Hamas spokesman, wrote in a Facebook post: “We have the full right to revenge for the blood of our martyrs in all possible means.”

For his part, President Obama did personally condemn the bloody slaughters, saying “there is and can be no justification for such attacks against innocent civilians.” But, as usual, Obama tried to link an act of pure evil — the shedding of innocent blood of worshippers in their holy place of prayer – to the failed peace negotiations. He said that “it is all the more important for Israeli and Palestinian leaders and ordinary citizens to work cooperatively together to lower tensions, reject violence and seek a path forward towards peace.” Obama also continued his false moral equivalency narrative by noting that there has been violence committed on both sides. “Too many Israelis have died, too many Palestinians have died,” Obama said. That’s true, but it is the Palestinians who are at fault. They have rejected real peace, from the original United Nations two-state partition solution more than six decades ago until now, and have instead conducted a relentless campaign of violence against Jewish civilians.

The failed peace talks, the building of additional Jewish housing in Jewish neighborhoods of Jerusalem and the lies about purported Israeli plans to interfere with Muslim worship and invade their mosques serve only as pretexts for Palestinians to satiate their never-ending lust for Jewish blood. Obama’s anti-Israel bias blinds him to the incontrovertible fact that Palestinian leaders have refused to work together with Israeli leaders to lower tensions and reject violence as he has suggested. Only Israel is trying in good faith to lower the temperature and prevent a conflagration. Indeed, while Hamas leaders and Abbas have incited violence with blatant lies about alleged Israeli plans to attack the al-Aqsa Mosque, Prime Minister Netanyahu has tried to de-escalate tensions by even continuing to prevent Jews from exercising their fundamental human right to worship freely wherever they wish, including on the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest site.

However, Prime Minister Netanyahu’s patience has just about run out. Now Jews cannot even pray safely in their own synagogues in the uncontested area of West Jerusalem. Such pathological Palestinian behavior must be stopped once and for all.

“This is the direct result of the incitement being led by Hamas and Abu Mazen [Palestinian Authority - PA President Mahmoud Abbas], incitement which the international community is irresponsibly ignoring,” Prime Minister Netanyahu said. “We will respond with a heavy hand to the brutal murder of Jews who came to pray and were met by reprehensible murderers. We will respond harshly,” he added.

The prime minister called for national unity in fighting against “those human animals who committed this massacre” and against Hamas, the Islamic movement, the Palestinian Authority and whomever else “disseminate libels against the state of Israel.”

Demolition of the Palestinian murderers’ homes and arrests of any and all accomplices are first steps. Security will be beefed up all around Jerusalem. More restrictions may be needed on freedom of movement among at least certain segments of the Palestinian population living in Jerusalem. The two killers were residents of East Jerusalem who carried Israeli identification cards allowing them to travel throughout Israel. They also worked in Jewish neighborhoods. In addition, Israeli officials should bring pressure to bear on social media providers such as Facebook to monitor and immediately remove the kind of hate speech inciting violence against Jews, including babies, on sites that Palestinians are regularly frequenting. If necessary, Israel should use its technological prowess to block access to such sites.

Whatever measures Israel takes to protect its citizens against the Palestinians’ bloodlust should be fully supported by the United States. Anti-Israel resolutions at the UN Security Council should be vetoed. UN Human Rights Council kangaroo investigations of alleged Israeli “crimes” should be met with U.S. withdrawal from this farcical body and de-funding. But that is not likely to happen, since President Obama’s thinking is in synch with the anti-Israel, moral equivalency mindset of the UN. When I asked the United Nations High Commissioner for Human rights Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein for his comment on the Jerusalem synagogue slaughters, he responded in a similar fashion to President Obama’s statement. He condemned any killings of civilians and said he hoped that calm can be restored. He would not criticize the incitements to violence by Hamas and other Palestinian leaders.

If, as expected, the Obama administration continues its campaign to undermine Prime Minister Netanyahu, rather than wholeheartedly support his fight against ISIS look-alikes such as Hamas and other Palestinian murderers of innocent civilians, the prime minister should go over Obama’s head and take his case directly to the American people. His message should be that Israel and America are fighting the same enemy. Israel’s battles against the Palestinian jihadists are inextricably linked with America’s fight against ISIS and other jihadists worldwide who want to destroy the freedoms we take for granted. He can start with a speech to a joint session of Congress, which large bipartisan majorities in both houses of Congress would welcome, even if President Obama is displeased.

Worldly religious bad blood continuous to bring more violence. Many years and
many deaths have come and gone and Israelis and Palestinians have not been able to find peace and security. Matthew 26:52 recounts what the Teacher Jesus, the Messiah, said to Simon Peter his Apostle when he struck with his sword the

Jerusalem Cafe Still Employs Arabs Despite Poison Attempt
Although its former Israeli-Arab chef was sent to jail Tuesday for attempting to poison the ‘strictly Kosher’ restaurant’s customers, Jerusalem’s Cafe Rimon continues to employ Arab waiters and kitchen staff.
          First Publish: 11/11/2003

Two Israeli-Arab Hamas members, former employees of the popular Jerusalem eatery Caf? Rimon, were sentenced today for attempting to fatally poison the establishment’s hundreds of Jewish customers. Just a little over a year following the attempt, the ‘strictly Kosher’ restaurant’s policy of keeping Arab workers on staff remains unchanged.

Utman Said Kianyah worked for three years as a chef at Caf? Rimon. Ronen Rimon, owner of the establishment, told Israel National News that “He was a very, very nice man; friendly with everybody and very nice to all the Jewish customers.” Kianyah was sentenced Tuesday to seven and a half years in prison for planning to poison those same customers, causing a large number of deaths.

Kianyah admitted to investigators that he had learned from a Hamas website how to poison coffee and other drinks without being detected. Scheming with a friend he met working at the Hebrew University’s laundry service, he planned to use odorless and tasteless poisons that would strike the victims with heart attack-like symptoms some 12-15 hours after ingestion.

Cafe Rimon was established in 1953 and has had a security guard posted at its entrance since 1997. It has recently enclosed its outside tables, ostensibly to afford better protection to its customers. However the guards and gates would not have prevented the tragedy that almost took place last September.

Jerusalem Police officials subsequently warned restaurant and cafe owners to be alert and suspicious of all their Arab employees. “During these times, this danger exists, and one doesn’t have to be extremely wise or forewarned by the police to know that a terror attack of this kind might happen,” said senior Jerusalem Police commander Yoram Halevy.

Cafe Rimon employs 80 workers, of which about 10 percent are Israeli-Arab. “There are people who have been working here for ten years and I don’t think the actions of one should hurt all of them,” Ronen Rimon said.

Caf? Rimon is adjacent to the site of three separate bombings. Soon after the poison plot was publicized, Avraham Feld, a resident of Jerusalem, told Arutz-7 of a disturbing scene he witnessed soon after a bombing near the Cafe:

“Last year, after the explosion that tore apart part of Lunz St. and Ben-Yehuda St. [and killed 11 young people], I arrived shortly afterwards at the Rimon Cafe. One of the things that overwhelmed me was the site of the kitchen staff of the Cafe Rimon in a state of joyous celebration – patting each other on the back, jumping up and down, singing songs in Arabic – it was like at the end of a soccer match when your team wins. They were marching and striding back and forth, so full of energy – it was amazing to me.”

Other religions compared with Islam’s simple message

ISLAM: Kill the Infidel. Steal his land. Rape his women

CHRISTIAN: All things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them.

JEWISH: Whatever thou hatest thyself, that do not to another.

HINDU: This is the sum of duty; do naught unto others which if done to thee would cause thee pain.

ZOROASTRIAN: That nature alone is good which refrains from doing unto another whatsoever is not good for itself.

TAOIST: Regard your neighbor’s gain as your own gain, and your neighbor’s loss as your own loss.

BUDDHIST: Hurt not others in ways that you would find hurtful.

CONFUCIAN: Do not unto others what you would not have them do unto you.

JAIN: In happiness and suffering, in joy and grief, we should regard all creatures as we regard our own self.

SIKH: As thou deemest thyself, so deem others.

    • Raymond_in_DC

Yep. The absence of a Golden Rule should be enough to disqualify Islam as a proper religion. Even where it does consider the well-being of one’s neighbor it’s with the understanding that the neighbor is a “believer” – I.e. another Muslim. That makes it more a cult, with its distrust and disdain for the outside community.

      • muchiboy

“The Golden Rule is implicitly expressed in some verses of the Qur’an, but is explicitly declared in the sayings of Muhammad. A common transliteration is: ِAheb li akheek ma tuhibu li nafsik. This can be translated as “Wish for your brother, what you wish for yourself” or “Love your brother as you love yourself”.”

There is no good reason to rationalize this.It is what it is.The Golden Rule as practiced in Islam.

The Palis get upset and slaughter people with meat cleavers. But then the Israelis get upset at their doing that, which just sustains the circle of violence. Both sides need to calm down and work toward the peace that everybody wants.

    • StanleyT

Are you a complete idiot? You note, correctly, that the “Palestinians” slaughter people with meat cleavers. But you seem to have a problem with Israel trying to prevent it happening again. And then you say that “both sides need to calm down”, as if they’re both equally to blame. My guess is you voted for Obama as well.

      • Ken Kelso

No Jewish nation can be at peace when it is surrounded by Islamo fascists. The question you should be asking is, when has there been a day in history when muslims have ever been at peace with non-muslims

      • Hank Rearden

I was just reading Jen Psaki’s teleprompter.

    • MattBracken

Your big error is “the peace that everybody wants.” Totally wrong. Once side wants to see all Jews dead and gone from the holy lands, and would gladly see millions on both sides slaughtered to accomplish that goal.

… yeah, but after they take over, “peace”. Kumbaya, man, kumbaya.

    • Nadzieja Batki

And you just told the whole world how stupid you are.

    • Ken Kelso

Over the past 21 years, we’ve seen what the Palestinians have done with the autonomy generously granted to them by Israel. They’ve slaughtered Israeli grandmothers and toddlers, pregnant women and elderly rabbis. They’ve set off their nail-studded, rat poison-laced bombs in shopping malls, disco’s, pizzeria’s, cafe’s and university cafeterias. These Terrorstinians turned school buses into blazing infernos, invaded home and shot mothers and children in their beds.
These Palestinian Islamo Nazis murdered 3 month old Jewish babies like Chaya Braun by running her over with a car. They’ve slaughtered Rabbis praying and celebrate this by handing out candy.

They’ve dragged 13-year-old boys to caves and stoned them to death. Those who don’t actually pull the triggers, detonate the bombs or do the stoning, celebrate the atrocities in the streets of Ramallah and Jenin, as they danced in those same streets when other Arabs crashed two planes into the World Trade Center.

These Arab sadists even built an exhibition celebrating the Sbarros massacre. When do you think the Arabs will realize, that murdering Israeli pizza-eaters, dance-club people, school kids, teenagers and sleeping five-year-olds is barbaric. Do these Arabs have any humanity?

It is becoming increasingly obvious, that the followers of Muhammed are not human beings.

      • Vinegar Hill

If you are so upset about what has happened over the decades then right the wrongs that have been meeted out to the Palestinians. You can start with Israeli withdrawl from the West Bank, leaving East Jerusalem under the control of the Palestinians and so on. Then you will have peace.
You won’t have to bother with your dehumanising of the Palestinians any more.

        • Yehuda Levi

          • Vinegar Hill

You forgot to add that Israel has imposed a blockade of Gaza. This has been declared illegal and it has caused crimes against humanity due to the impact on Palestinian lives in the area.

          • Joseph Klein

A partial defensive blockade to keep out more rockets and other weapons used by Hamas to murder innocent Israel civilians has not been declared illegal by any competent objective international legal authorities. In fact, a UN Panel of Inquiry report concluded just the opposite, upholding the legality of Israel’s naval blockade as a legitimate act of self-defense. http://www.un.org/News/dh/infocus/middle_east/Gaza_Flotilla_Panel_Report.pdf

The crimes against humanity are being committed regularly by Hamas and other jihadists who set out to kill Jewish civilians (Hamas’s charter calls for the killing of Jews wherever they can be found – i.e., genocide) and use their own populace as human shields.

          • Vinegar Hill

The Geneva Conventions clearly indicate that the blockade is against the law. There are a couple of factors used to support this, one being, “causing damage to the civilian economy” and by creating a “shortage of food or the means to buy it” which “under the law of armed conflict is simply to cause hunger”.

Secondly, for a blockade to legally exist ” there must exist within the State an armed conflict of a general (as distinguished from purely local) character; secondly, the insurgents must occupy and administer a substantial
portion of national territory; thirdly, they must conduct the hostilities in accordance with the rules of war and through organized forces acting under a reasonable authority; fourthly, there must exist circumstances which make it necessary for outside states to define their attitude by means of recognition of belligerency.”
Hamas is not located within Israel. Israel and Hamas are not engaged in a civil war.
So please explain how the blockade is not illegal.

          • Vinegar Hill

Regarding your last paragraph I think that a case could be brought against both sides in the recent conflict in Gaza. However, to accuse Hamas of using their own populace as human shields. One only has to examine the Dahiya doctrine. The devastation carried out by the IDF is coldly deliberate.
Large numbers of civilians were either directly killed by bombs or crushed as they huddled in the rubble of their homes. Gadi Eizenkot, previously military secretary to the office of the prime minister, subsequently deputy chief of the general staff, clearly stated that what was needed was more ruthlessness, Eizenkot declared: “Time to take the gloves off….What happened in the Dahiya district will happen in every village from which Israel is fired on . . . We will apply disproportionate force and cause great damage and destruction. From our standpoint, these are not civilian villages, they are military bases.”
Kasher the academic behind this “theory” argues that the state has an imperative duty to protect its citizens, including soldiers in battle, and that this extends to killing the neighbours of enemy combatants. So I obviously disagree with you regarding Hamas using human shields.

The Left’s Support for Palestinian Terror
    By: J.D. Cassidy
    February 23, 2003

Among the myriad of anti-American causes that have spilled into the leftwing cesspool known as the “peace movement,” support for the bloodthirsty Palestinians is perhaps the most disgusting. To the left-wing America-haters who constitute the new “anti-war” movement, being “pro-Palestine” somehow translates into being “anti-war.” Never mind the fact that the Muslim radicals who attacked America on 9-11 used Palestinian suicide bombings in Israel as a model for their sinister plot. The American left views Palestinian radicals as “freedom fighters,” therefore liberating “Palestine” has become one of the central battles of the new “anti-war” movement.

To ensure that fledgling radicals know which position to take in regard to the Arab-Israeli war, the website of the Workers World Party (WWP)- the Stalinist cult that bankrolls the current “peace” movement- lays out plainly how all good lefties should view Israel. The website contains hundreds of articles filled with anti-Jew vitriol, and loathsome denunciations of the “Imperialist” Jewish state. Another radical organization that is active in the “peace” movement actually arranges for leftwing malcontents to travel from America to Israel. There, the radical Jew-haters carry out plots to sabotage the Israeli Army’s peacekeeping efforts. The group’s website boasts photographs of the left-wing thugs whom it sponsors engaged in physical confrontations with Israeli soldiers. This dangerous organization, called “The International Solidarity Movement,” has chapters in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Michigan, Washington and Sweden.

The movement to “liberate Palestine” is a movement that defines itself by its hatred of Jews and a violent desire to spill their blood. The American and international left, however, chooses to ignore this cold fact. It instead throws its weight behind the Palestinian “liberation movement” because it believes that the Palestinians are “oppressed” by the Israelis, whom the left considers agents of “Western Imperialism.” The left believes that the warfare in Israel is a “cycle of violence,” rather than an offensive terrorist war against Israeli civilians. It believes that Israeli soldiers are to blame for the ongoing warfare- that when the Israeli military moves into a Palestinian village to root out terrorists, it is not attempting to stop future terrorist attacks but is instead taking “revenge” on out-gunned Palestinians. The left has been on the wrong side of every important issue in history. Its position on the Arab-Israeli war is no exception.

The best way to understand what it means to be “pro-Palestine” is to look at the agenda of the Arab organizations that are working for “Palestinian liberation.” Since its inception, the PLO has taken part in hundreds of terrorist attacks against Israelis. In recent years, Arafat has paid lip service to a Palestinian desire for peace, but the PLO’s ambition to drive the Jews into the sea continues. Consider, for example, a statement that Arafat made in the aftermath of a recent suicide attack in which 27 Israeli civilians were slaughtered at a Passover celebration. Referring to this attack, the bloodthirsty Arafat prayed: “Oh God, give me martyrdom like this. We are all potential martyrs, the whole Palestinian people.” In a similar statement, the PLO Chairman stated in January 1995: “We are going to continue the Palestinian revolution until the last martyr to create a Palestinian state.” Again, in September 1995 the Palestinian leader declared: “By Allah I swear that the Palestinian people are prepared to sacrifice the last boy and the last girl so that the Palestinian flag will be flown over the walls, the churches, and the mosques of Jerusalem.”

Arafat’s statements are right in line with the attitude towards Jewry that prevails among Arab leaders and officials. In a letter to President Bush and the United States Congress, a member of the Consultative Council of Saudi Arabia, named Amhed al-Tuwaijri, actually had the gall to openly defend suicide bombings. In the letter, dated April 16, 2002, the Saudi official writes: “When young men and women offered their souls for the sake of freedom and independence and in defense of their religion, dignity, self and family, the United States could not find anything to describe these great sacrifices except to say they are terrorist, criminal actions.” I suppose it should not be surprising that a Saudi official would make such a horrific statement. Saudi Arabia, after all, is a nation that recently held a telethon, during which one hundred million dollars was raised for Palestinian suicide bombers.

Support and encouragement for suicide attacks against innocent Israelis is also commonplace among Palestinian clergy. On April 12, 2002, in a televised sermon that was delivered from a mosque in Gaza City, an Imam of the Palestinian Authority unleashed the following message to his Arab disciples: “Anyone who does not attain martyrdom in these days should wake in the middle of the night and say: ‘My God, why have you deprived me of martyrdom for your sake? For the martyr lives next to Allah.’” He then continued:
“Oh Allah, accept our martyrs in the highest heaven.”
“Oh Allah, show the Jews a black day.”

“Oh Allah, annihilate the Jews and their supporters.”

“Oh Allah, raise the flag of Jihad across the land.”

Not only do Arabs encounter suicidal messages in their mosques, but Palestinian children are actually bred, through schooling, to rejoice in the slaughter of innocent Jews. Consider the following line excerpted from a Palestinian schoolbook, “I will take my soul into my hands and hurl it into the abyss of death.” Or this line, taken from another textbook: “Beware of the Jews, for they are treacherous and disloyal.” Or this line from the PLO teachers guide, which is placed under the heading “important values” that should be instilled in Palestinian youth: “Wrath to the alien thief [Israel] who obliterated the Homeland and dispersed its people.”

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that the Palestinian liberation movement is about killing Jews. There is no effective voice of moderation among the Palestinian leadership or clergy. There is nobody in the Palestinian community who is effectively promoting a peaceful solution to the Arab-Israeli war. To the terrorist organizations that are leading the movement to “liberate Palestine,” the possibility of living side by side with Jews is unthinkable. In their minds, the Jews are infidels who deserve to be driven from the Middle East through a bloody Jihad.

To put this all into perspective it is necessary to look at the historical roots of the Palestinians’ war against Israel. Prior to the First World War, what is today called Israel was part of the Ottoman Empire and was known as Palestine- though it was not considered the “nation” of Palestine. Nor were the Arabs who lived there considered “Palestinians.” They were considered- and they considered themselves-”Arabs.” In the aftermath of WWI, the Ottoman Empire, which had allied with Germany, was divided up among the British and French victors. The area then known as Palestine came under British rule. During this period, the area known as Palestine experienced an influx of European Jews.

In the wake of the holocaust, a movement for a Jewish nation-state garnered support from the United Nations. Throughout the 1930s, as the rise of Hitler catalyzed intensive Jewish immigration to the area of Palestine, tensions between Jews and Arabs escalated and two attempts by the British, in 1937 and in 1939, to divide the land between Arabs and Jews were rejected. The Arabs rejected the first attempt, and the Jews rejected the second attempt, which would have restricted the rights of Jews to immigrate and own land.

At the close of World War II, an acceleration of fighting between Jews and Arabs in this area prompted Britain’s decision to turn the problem over to the United Nations, which supported the creation of a Jewish state. On May 14, 1948, Britain officially withdrew from the area and Israel was declared a nation. On this very day, five neighboring Arab countries- Egypt, Lebanon, Trans-Jordan, Iraq and Syria attacked Israel. Amazingly, the outnumbered Jewish nation was able to beat back its Arab foes and a peace treaty was signed in 1949. When the war ended, Egypt was in control of the Gaza Strip and Trans-Jordan had annexed the West Bank (these territories were later won by Israel in the 1967 war).

Though two-thirds of the Arabs in Israel chose to leave the infant nation, a full one-third of the Arabs remained. Those who stayed were granted citizenship by the Israel government and to this day enjoy greater rights than any of the Arabs living in Arab-ruled nations. The Arabs who became Israeli citizens, along with their offspring, have benefited tremendously. In 1948, to cite one significant example, Arab illiteracy in Israel was 95 percent. Today, it is a mere 5 percent. Because the neighboring Arab countries would not allow citizenship to the Arabs who left Israel, they instead became “refugees.” To this day, they are forced to live in refugee camps, which are terrorist breeding grounds, simply because their “Arab brothers” in surrounding nations refuse to grant them citizenship.

The Palestinian Liberation Organization (PL0) was formed in 1964. From the outset, the PLO stated that its ultimate goal is to drive the Jews into the sea. The destruction of the state of Israel was actually laid out plainly in the PLO Charter until PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat ordered it removed in 1993. Arafat, however, still wears the official sign of the PLO – a map of the future state of Palestine – on the sleeve of his military uniform. This map shows Palestine encompassing the entire land of Israel. This is the goal of the PLO: to destroy Israel and replace it with an Arab nation called “Palestine.” Among the leadership of the Palestinian liberation movement Yasser Arafat is actually a moderate voice. This is a man who funds terrorism and publicly encourages (in Arabic) his followers to carry out suicide attacks against innocent, defenseless Israeli men, women and children. Arafat is a man who walked away from peace talks in 2000 after then-Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak offered to give the Palestinians 95% of the land that they demanded. Arafat did not accept Israel’s concession for one reason: in Arafat’s words, “Peace for us means the destruction of Israel.”

Until terrorist groups like Hezbollah, Hamas and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade are brought to heel; until the PLO ceases funding and encouraging terrorism; until there is a deep change in the cultural attitudes of Palestinians, the Arab war against Israeli will persist. Innocent Israeli civilians will continue to be blown to pieces by Jew-hating Muslim radicals; children will continue to be incinerated in their school buses; babies will continue to die in their strollers on city sidewalks; old men and women will continue to be slaughtered by madmen in street-side cafes. These are the realities of the Palestinian “liberation movement.” The next time that a Western “peace” demonstrator feels compelled to pick up a Palestinian flag and wave it in the air, he should take a look at the news photos of Jewish bodies strewn across Israeli streets and think about what he is actually supporting.

    Kahane predicted all of this.
The problem is, Israel’s leader are afraid to use all out force to defeat these Islamo fascists. Netanyahu is governing like Peres.

    Remember what Kahane said,
I prefer an Israel hated by everybody than in Auschwitz loved by all.”
Right now Chaim Ben Pesach who is the successor to Kahane has been barred from entering Israel by the people who run Israel.
That includes Likud, Kadima and Labor.

Chaim Ben Pesach wants to use all out force to stop these Islamo killers from terrorizing Israel and Ben Pesach wants a death penalty for Muslims who murder Jews.
Here’s a video from Chaim from yesterday which talks how he would stop Arab terrorists from murdering Israeli civilians.
    This is a must hear.

Israel has been and is under attack. Wanton killing of innocent citizens is an act of war upon its people. An enemy fighting against you has no interest in peace; it chooses war. Self defense chooses war. So it is. So be it. Israel doesn’t have to concern itself with having allies on its side; because it has none.

Obama has always resorted to the moral equivalence argument, which is a form of incitement. He stated it in his AUDACITY OF HOPE that could be read in 2008 before his first election. I quoted him here: http://clarespark.com/2009/09/11/oil-politics-and-obamas-view-of-israeli-history/. “Oil politics and Obama’s view of Israeli history.”

  • lein

No moral equivalence. Israel should change their name today to the Jewish State of Israel with Jerusalem the undivided capital, relocating muslims to one of their 57 islamic republics. They should announce to the muslims and the weaklings in the west that the new response to murdered Jews will be 100 dead muslims including babies and children (future killers) and women ( candy distributors after murder). One can only fight evil with harsh measures, not compromise and interfaith dialogue . Never in a thousand years will their be compromise with muslims, whether Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, etc. Israels survival is at stake and so to eventually the worlds.

You need professional help. It also seems that you are a potential danger to society with what you write and incite with your totally immoral words.

      • Yehuda Levi

You don’t even understand the meaning of “morality” if you feel the poor mistreated Palestinian Arabs only needed to be treated better.

How can you be opposed to “death and destruction of human life” when you get your “jollies” by defending murdering Palestinian Arabs?

Yehuda…..you are tripping over your big feet. Why do you say that I am “defending murdering Palestinian Arabs”? You can’t address the point I have made regarding what “lein” wrote. You are stuck.

You need to slow down as you are getting very excited. If you read again what I wrote you will see that it happened before 1948. The Palestinians were robbed of their state. • muchiboy

It doesn’t have to be like this. One week the Israeli’s slaughter 500 Palestinian school children, another day the Palestinians murder 4 Jews in prayer and an Israeli cop.And make no mistake, one act is as murderous, shameful, unconscionable and condemnable as the other. It’s just that the Israelis are so much better and efficent at it.They just murder more, more women, more men, more mothers, more grandmothers, more infants, more toddlers, more 5 year olds, more 10 year olds, more school kids, more teens, more pregnant mothers,…you get the picture?
It is interesting, and relevent, going to the heart of the conflict, really, that the murder victims were all American-Israeli and British-Israel,if I read the reports correctly. They are Diaspora, taking advantage of a Right of Return that Jews anywhere are eligible for,a right of return denied Palestinian War Refugees, and their descendents, fleeing from a war of Zionist occupation in the Palestinian Homeland.
Jews and Arabs, with support from their respective allies, partners and organizations,e.g.UN,can work out a solution, preferably a one state, modified or not, that allows both peoples, occupied and occupier,to live within a single border,as equal citizens, neither as occupied or occupier, but simply fellow citizens, with equal rights and duties.Surely, their is a collective will among both populations to achieve Peace,Prosperity and a more kind and life loving future for the children then is the present reality.

    • salubrius

The Israeli IDF lawfully kill many Arabs while defending their land against thousands of rockets. They use more methods of protecting innocent civilians than any other army in history. Self defense has never been a crime. The Arabs target and murder Jews . Murder is a crime. There is no moral equivalence between self-defense and murder.

      • muchiboy

Hamas and the Palestinians use similar arguments for what they do.You are no different from them, your neighbors. One might even say you deserve one another, but that is too mean spirited. It is a tragedy, for both Peoples, the root cause Zionism and the occupation of the Palestinian Homeland leading to the sequalae of displacement and ethnic cleansing.Ironic that Holocaust should precede Nakba. We Christians have a lot to answer for, here, too, salubrius.

    • Yehuda Levi

      Moral equivalence nonsense.

The only “collective” needed is for the Palestinian Arabs to get rid of their corrupt leaders and elect leaders who are truly interested in peace. Until then, Israel has to defend herself no matter what the cost.

      • muchiboy

It’s meat for debate, cjkcjk. And there is nothing foolish about it.

“The role of the bombings in Japan’s surrender
and the U.S.’s ethical justification for them has been the subject of
scholarly and popular debate for decades. J. Samuel Walker wrote in an
April 2005 overview of recent historiography on the issue, “the
controversy over the use of the bomb seems certain to continue.” He
wrote that “The fundamental issue that has divided scholars over a
period of nearly four decades is whether the use of the bomb was
necessary to achieve victory in the war in the Pacific on terms
        satisfactory to the United States.”[255

        • Atikva

I don’t know whether “scholars” were divided, but the rest of the earth population was certainly not. They were all relieved that the seemingly endless bloodshed was finally over.

The scholars should have taken up arms to defeat Imperial Japan – to test their theory.

There’s always M.A.D. – Mecca Assured Destruction – for starters.

      • muchiboy

The first use of such a weapon should be debated.

“Supporters of the bombings generally assert that they caused the
Japanese surrender, preventing casualties on both sides during Operation
Downfall. One figure of speech, “One hundred million [subjects of the
Japanese Empire] will die for the Emperor and Nation,”[256] served as a unifying slogan, although that phrase was intended as a figure of speech along the lines of the “ten thousand years” phrase.[257] In Truman’s 1955 Memoirs,
“he states that the atomic bomb probably saved half a million U.S.
lives— anticipated casualties in an Allied invasion of Japan planned for
November. Stimson subsequently talked of saving one million U.S.
casualties, and Churchill of saving one million American and half that
        number of British lives.”[258]
Scholars have pointed out various alternatives that could have ended
the war without an invasion, but these alternatives could have resulted
in the deaths of many more Japanese.[259]
Supporters also point to an order given by the Japanese War Ministry on
August 1, 1944, ordering the execution of Allied prisoners of war when
the POW camp was in the combat zone.[260]

Those who oppose the bombings cite a number of reasons for their
view, among them: a belief that atomic bombing is fundamentally immoral,
that the bombings counted as war crimes, that they were militarily
unnecessary, that they constituted state terrorism,[261]
and that they involved racism against and the dehumanization of the
Japanese people. The bombings were part of an already fierce
conventional bombing campaign. This, together with the sea blockade and
the collapse of Germany (with its implications regarding redeployment),
could also have led to a Japanese surrender. At the time United States
dropped its atomic bomb on Nagasaki on August 9, 1945, the Soviet Union
launched a surprise attack with 1.6 million troops against the Kwantung Army in Manchuria. “The Soviet entry into the war”, argued Japanese historian Tsuyoshi Hasegawa,
“played a much greater role than the atomic bombs in inducing Japan to
surrender because it dashed any hope that Japan could terminate the war
        through Moscow’s mediation”.[262]“

of The Interior himself boasted of this strategy 6 years ago, which consists of
planting children in locations likely to be targeted in order to manufacture
atrocities with which to blame Israel.

          All these repulsive tactics reminiscent
of other totalitarian ideologies such as communism or nazism, have only one
purpose: propaganda aiming at destroying in the public eye the enemy you can’t
destroy otherwise. Fortunately, a growing number of past useful idiots have
finally opened their eyes. One can only hope that their number will continue to

your answers concerning “the Palestinian homeland”.

          • muchiboy

I would be happy to learn that the numbers of Palestinian children slaughtered by Israel were exaggerated by Hamas, the more exaggerated the better.

The commercial arrangements with Russia and China are problematic, but I don’t see any commercial arrangements with Hamas and the Daily Telegraph.Furthermore,The Daily Telegraph is considered to have a pro Conservative bias,so maybe it all comes out in the wash.
I have equally little faith in reporting by either Hamas or Israel, both lack truth and transparency and follow their own agenda. Both are media savvy.

          • Atikva

If you have no faith in Hamas reporting, why is it their information that you chose to believe, then to publish on this site? Of course you favor Hamas and any other group of jihadists as all leftists do, even though you have never set foot in Israel.

As to The Daily Telegraph, there is nothing problematic with its highly profitable “arrangements” with the 2 socialo-communist super powers – even Wikipedia refers to them – made all the more necessary since it lost about 147,000 readers since 2010. The newspaper may have intentionally kept its image of before 2004, but its current contents and financial support show it to be definitely on the left side of the political spectrum.

Apparently you don’t know anything either about the islamo-socialist coalition. Where do you think the islamists learnt the techniques of manipulating public opinion if not from the FSB/KGB?

          • muchiboy

I’m not going to argue till the cows come home.Suffice to say,the IDF, IAF and Navy slaughtered a lot of Palestinian children.

“GAZA CITY — The war in Gaza will now continue in a battle between databases to determine who was killed and why.

            The
most contested number, the one that attracts the most stubborn
insistence and ferocious rebuttal, is not the total fatalities on the
Palestinian side, the more than 2,100 dead in the Gaza hostilities.

The controversy centers instead on the ratio of civilians to combatants, or as the Israelis call them “terrorist operatives.”

            This
number will help shape public opinion about the way the war was waged,
its cost in human life and whether the hostilities were worth the
            casualties.

            In its most recent count,
the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reports
that 2,104 Palestinians were killed in Gaza, including 1,462 civilians,
among them 495 children and 253 women. Those U.N. numbers would mean
that 69 percent of the total killed were civilians.”

As to manipulating public opinion,my first reading on this subject was Lippmanns classic “Public Opinion”.Every country,Zionist Israel included, recognizes the importance of propaganda in influenceing public opinion.Hamas and the PLO are no different.
I am not interested in the politics of the British media.
As to Hamas reporting,it is a starting point, and can be verified or critized by NGO’s,journalists, etc.
I see Israeli’s as the occupier of the Palestinian Homeland, and Hamas,PA,PLO,etc.,as the Resistance to Zionist occupation, represening the Palestinian People.
            I consider myself as liberal.

        “Palestinian Homeland”

What explanation is needed here? It is what it is.Look at a map of the region in 1947,Encyclopedia Britannica,World Atlas,1947,plate 47.It says “Palestine”.Furthermore, the census for Palestine in 1931,given,are: Muslim,759,712;Jewish 174,712;Christian,91,398.Prior to the Recreation of Zionist Israel,.
both Palestinian Muslims,Palestinian Jews and Palestinian Christians lived in Palestine,no quotation marks needed.I would say Palestine,as described and recognized there,is the Palestinian Homeland, where these Palestinian war refugees lived,on farms, towns, and cities, prior to displacement and ethnic cleansing,by default and/or otherwise.

        • Atikva

You seem to be muddled regarding the Palestinians and the land called Palestine. The territory of Palestine existed long before the Israelites came to the area. You should do some reading on the topic and, in particular the ancient texts of Herodotus. I hope that helps you so that you don’t get confused again.

    • salubrius

Palestine was only a territory, not a nation state. It has never been a nation state except under the Jewish People. It has never contained any other people who were ruled from a capital in Palestine.

    • bill reitzes

It is weakness on the Israeli side.
It’s called being Jewish in today’s world.
It means, giving into the mass media, and putting Israel’s image, ahead of it’s interests.
Don’t forget, the Jews are a minority fighting against the wave of Muslim violent jihad, that is sweeping across our world.
Remember, Israel sits on only 0.5% of all the ME.
I don’t think that “fighting against Islamic jihad” is taught in universities.

More than anyone I blame the US State Department for funding the Arab terrorists and creating incentives for them to continue to wage war while they pressure Israel to make more and more lethal concessions to animals who refuse to accept the existence of Jews or their state for on religious reasons.
The real war criminals here besides HAMAS and the PLO are Jen Psaki, Obama and the rest of the people in the US Government who force this poison on Israel to make brownie points with their Arab Muslim counterparts and because many of them simply hate Jews.

The most surprising response to yesterday’s deadly attack on worshippers at a Jerusalem synagogue came from the Bahraini foreign minister. “It is forbidden to react to the crimes of the Israeli occupation against our brothers in Palestine by killing innocents in a house of prayer,” Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa reportedly wrote on his Arabic-language Twitter feed. “Those who will pay the price for the crime of killing innocents in a Jewish synagogue and for welcoming the crime are the Palestinian people.”

Their claims about Mo’s dream, have to do with the most Western mosque, and that was located around Mecca, and 100% NOT in Jerusalem.
The Dome of the Rock, and the al Aqsa mosque, were built as symbols of Muslim victory, and were built, well after 637.

I have been on the Mount, and visited the Dome and the mosque. Of course, I recited the Sh’mah, out loud. This was back in 1990, before the Oslo fiasco.
I still can’t believe, that Dayan, gave control over the Temple Mount to Muslims. Dayan, was a secular Jew, who really didn’t realize the magnitude of his mistake.

The Palestinians were being prepared for the establishment of their own state under the Mandate for Palestine. Why should they accept a partition of that land which was not the original proposal? If events would have been carried out according to the tenets of the Mandate we would not be discussing this right now.
I don’t believe that Israel will accept a two state solution as it has entangled itself too far into the West Bank and Jerusalem. I would argue in favour of a single state with total equal rights for all people living in the present day state of Israel.

    • Joseph Klein

A one-state solution dominated by the Palestiian jihadists is exactly what you would like. It’s worked so well in Lebanon, hasn’t it? Your perspective on the background of the original UN partition proposal is distorted. The original British Mandate of Palestine was split in two, creating TransJordan (which was already made up of a majority Arab Palestinian population), and the remaining area of the Mandate retaining the name “Palestine” which was to be set up as the national home for the Jewish people. The non-Jewish Arab population of the this remainder of the original mandate was then offered an additional state under the UN partition plan carved out of what, to repeat, was intended originally to be the national home of the Jewish people. The Palestinian Arabs (whose ancestors emigrated from neighboring countries like Egypt and were not indigenous to the land to which they emigrated) have only themselves to blame for rejecting the partition and a series of subsequent offers for much of the West Bank in which to set up their own state. Moreover, they botched the opportunity to build a prototype state model in Gaza, which Israel abandoned unilaterally in 2005 only to see it turn into a terrorist launching pad.
There is no justification for the brutal slaughter of unarmed worshippers praying peacefully in their own house of worship, which resulted from the rhetoric of Hamas and Abbas inciting violence. Distorting history and creating a false narrtive of moral equivalence will not change that.

      • Vinegar Hill

A solution is necessary and Israel has become too entrenched in the West Bank and will not relinquish what it has. The “offer” of a state, if one ever comes about, will be so pitiful, that it will not be accepted. The only solution left is One State but Israel does not want this either. So what will the outcome be? Perhaps, and I think this is a real possibility, that Israel will go the same way as South Africa. It will die a slow death due to it’s intransigence.

The mandate for Palestine was establish a state for the majority of the indigenous people, Palestinians. The Treaty of Lausanne regularised Palestinian citizenship which was recognised by international law. Various Palestinian institutions were established and provisional certificates of Palestinian nationality were issued and so forth.
These certificates served as preliminary indication of Palestinian nationality. The Jewish people could live within the new, to be created, Palestinian state.

The legal interpretation of the Decalration that is consistent with the discussions that took place between the Zionists and the British at that time, the drafting history of the Declaration. and international law at that time, is that Britain intended to provide a sanctuary for Jews in Palestine without infringing the rights of of Palestinian Arabs . The bottom line being the intention was to establish a home NOT a state for the Jews.

Balfour recognised the flagrant contradiction between the letter of the Covenant of the L of N and the Declaration. They did not consult the wishes of the inhabitants of the country. President Wilson of the US stated that in support of self-determination the Palestinian population, about 9/10ths of of the whole area, are against the entire Zionist programme.
Then you write “have only themselves to blame for rejecting the partition”. That is totally wromg, it goes against any re4asonamble interpretation of the reality of what was intended.
On my part there has not been any “Distorting (of) history and creating a false narrtive of moral equivalence”.

  • Atikva

“There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time,” a spokesman for Hamas declared. This declaration has at least the merit of being clear and explicit, although it is not precisely a revelation. Actually, Hamas doctrine defined in its Charter has been repeatedly displayed by its members for over a quarter of a century.

    (1) Islam position of superiority: “You are the best community that has been raised up for mankind” (Preamble).

    (2) The current war is against the Jews – not the Israelis, the Jews at large: “For our struggle against the Jews is extremely wide-ranging and grave.” (Introduction) and “Israel, by virtue of being Jewish and of having a Jewish population, defies islam and the muslims. (Article 28). Not a peep about the mythical dispossessed “Palestinians”.

    (3) Muslims’ claim over the ex-Palestine Territory is based on sharia and nothing else: “The islamic resistance movement believes that the land of Palestine has been an Islamic waqf [property hold in perpetuity] throughout the generations and until the day of resurrection, no one can renounce it, …or abandon it. .. This is the status [of the land] in islamic sharia and it is similar to all lands conquered by islam by force” (Article 11). Again, noting about a State for “our Palestinian brothers” .

    (4) Hamas strategy prohibits anything but violence: “Peaceful solutions, peace initiatives and international conferences… to resolve the Palestinian problem are all contrary to the beliefs of the Islamic resistance movement… Those conferences are no more than a means to appoint the nonbelievers as arbitrators in the lands of islam. There is no solution to the Palestinian problem except by jihad. The initiatives, proposals and international conferences are but a waste of time, an exercise in futility” (Article 13). “Leaving the circle of conflict with Israel is a major treason” (Article 32). And in its preamble: “Israel will remain erect until islam eliminates it as it has eliminated its predecessors.”

    (5) Non-muslims must surrender to islam: “Safety and security can only prevail under the shadow of islam and recent and ancient history is the best witness to that effect. The members of other religions must desist from struggling against islam over sovereignty in this region” (Article 31).

On the PLO side, Zahir Muhsein, ex-Executive Committee member claiming Palestinian identity, explained over 35 years ago, in 1977, during an interview in The Netherlands:

“The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national
interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct “Palestinian people”
to oppose Zionism. For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state
with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a
Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem.
However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait
even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.”

So one wonders what on earth is the matter with these endless “negotiations” set up by various “chiefs of States” with the apparent purpose of reaching a two-States solution? Are they blind? Can’t they read and if so, can they understand what they read? Can’t they absorb facts, or are they that far gone into the realm of unreality?
