iraq-execution_2939456bWhen President Barack Obama made a decision to withdraw all US forces from Iraq at the end of 2011, he ignored calls from many senators in Congress as well as military generals to leave some token US military force in case of urgent situations in order to assist the newly established Iraqi government.

The crucial decision made by President Obama was aimed at boosting his likelihood of being reelected for president. The decision ignored the dangerous consequences, national interests, American safety, the global economy, and security risks that United States would encounter down the road.

Pursuing his objectives of self-interest, President Obama intentionally refused to take notice of, or acknowledge, the strategic importance of Iraq from two perspectives: economic (oil) and ideological.

It was evident that with a weak Iraqi state, Iraq could soon be a haven for Islamist Jihadists, Sunni militants, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, and the emergence of Al-Qaeda 2.0.

In the last week, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has reached a turning point in its extremist movement. It has made remarkably rapid military advances in several cities in Iraq.

They are also operating in several other countries. This movement, which emerged in late 2003, was initially affiliated with Al-Qaeda, but they separated themselves from Al-Qaeda because ISIS ideology is much more extreme than that of Al-Qaeda.

In addition, after the split with Al-Qaeda, ISIS was capable of coordinating, uniting, and organizing in Syria during the last few years thanks to the misinformed policies of the Obama administration. When ISIS operatives were capable of strengthening their movement, they used the porous border between Syria and Iraq to launch their attacks in Iraq.

ISIS has never achieved such military success in its history. When President Obama has had the chance to stop this radicalized movement in Syria from its root, he chose to be silent and act as a bystander while the Islamic Republic of Iran and Hezbollah (and other Jihadist groups) took the lead. The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, and their affiliated Jihadists Islamists, are a serious threat to national security and stability in the region.

Currently, the movement is not limited only to Syria and Iraq. It is operating across borders, reportedly obtaining passports, being trained in several places, being radicalized, and strengthening the movement.

GOP Rep. Mike Rogers, chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, pointed out that insurgency in Iraq by an Islamic militant group is “as dangerous as it gets,” adding, “It’s a jihadist Disneyland… We need to do something to stop the momentum.”

But what actions will President Obama take to preserve US national interests and ensure American safety, protect the US economy, save American citizens from kidnappings and from other terrorist attacks by the organized group of Al-Qaeda? Most likely, the Obama administration will again remain silent as things unfold and as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria fulfills its mission of dominating Iraq and Syria, creating a state in Iraq and Syria (as the Taliban did in Afghanistan), and then spread to other countries in the region.

There have been videos and photos posted showing the ISIS jihadist fighters massacring and beheading those people or soldiers whom they have captured. As the Washington Post reports: “The photos showed men in civilian clothes lying face down, shoulder to shoulder and with their hands bound, in a ditch surrounded by yellow fields, as masked fighters from the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria fired into the ditch in Salahuddin province.”

On the other hand, economically speaking, the remarkable military advances of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria are more precarious than the rise of Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan due to ideology and economics. The United States economy, the Chinese economy, the EU economy, and the oil market are the four crucial factors that effect the global economy.

Iraq has one of the largest proven oil reserves in the world and it has even passed the Islamic Republic of Iran as the second largest producer of crude oil in the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). Industrialized countries’ dependence on oil is on the rise. Any instability in Iraq can have a tremendous impact on the global economy as well as oil prices, affecting the lives of ordinary people in the US.

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria has already been capable of bringing a significant surge in oil prices. Brent crude hit 114.69 dollars a barrel this week; the largest weekly gain this year. And, of course, countries such as the Islamic Republic of Iran and monarchies such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar, will be the ones that benefit from this rise. On the other hand, ordinary people in the US will have to pay the price.

The remarkable and rapid rise of Jihadi Islamists, particularly the movement of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (or Al-Qaeda 2.0) is much more dangerous than Al-Qaeda, ideologically and economically. Their recent triumph and captures of several parts of Iraq and Syria may have tremendous repercussions on American national security, the global economy, and the lives of every American. Unfortunately, President Obama still insists on ignoring the danger and seriousness of these extremist movements.

Basically Rafizadeh argument boils down to: we invested $1 trillion to help secure Iraq for China’s oil and now we blew it when a few more dollars (and how many more troops?) would have finished off al Qaeda.

He misses one factor in the rise of this deadly organization: Islam. Muslims from around the world, driven by religious fervor, poured into Syria–not Iraq–but Syria. Can we police every Islamic nation?

  • Dyer’s Eve

It’s time the West ditched its reliance on oil. There are alternatives, but the big dollar guys won’t let it happen. And we’re all the poorer for it.

    • Wolfthatknowsall

There are alternatives, but none of them would yield the lower prices that developing our own oil, and using Canadian oil, would yield. The “big dollar” guys are behind Obama, hence the increased gasoline prices. He’s in their pocket …

Hey Mu…Hey Mu…. more old feminists worry about Islamophobia than do believers in a Creator. More Communists worry about Islamophobia than do believers in a Creator. What is it about your religion that attracts all the worst believers in atheism? Care to comment. They hate my religion and for that I am proud.

Now that is statement that makes more sense, but being a complete liar like all Muslims, you wouldn’t understand that.

Indeed, it was the mindless oil trade of the West that invigorated islam since the 20th century. Coupled with a few other suicidal trends like multi – minus the own – culturism, it turned into a “perfect storm”, as I wrote years ago: http://resonoelusono.com/Imminent.htm

    • ObamaYoMoma

Initially, that’s what I thought it was about too until I read the article. The writer instead is a Shiite Muslim lobbying Americans and American politicians to get us involved in the Sunni/Shiite jihad going on in Iraq right now, and FPM, unfortunately, is his patsy. This article is nothing but stealth and deceptive jihad.

Poor old Maliki has the haunted look of Saddam. Will he be the next to be torn apart by the vultures?

The Shi’ites have the advantage of numbers and had US backing for a while, but ‘they’ are back: The Alawites, the Sunnis…… the Saudis.

How else to counter Iran’s growing power than to get Al Queda, otherwise known as ISIS, on side?

Will they hit Baghdad? Not in my opinion. A line has been drawn.

Oh what wicked webs we weave……

“Any instability in Iraq can have a tremendous impact on the global
economy as well as oil prices, affecting the lives of ordinary people in
    the US.”

Strange then, the White house’s laid-back approach. Hillary announcing that the US has no intention of re-entering Iraq. Obama sending a bunch of soldiers to guard the US embassy (poor buggers).

Town after town is falling to Al Queda. 30,000 Iraqi soldiers throw down their arms before 1500 rebels and make for the hills (?). The US does nothing but insist that Maliki include more Sunnis in his government. The enemy is 50 miles from the door. Oil fields are just up the road. Hey, no probs.

Seymour Hersh had it right back in 07 with his piece on “The Redirection”

If your citing Seymour Hersh, then you are more than a little confused. No wonder I could never understand any of your posts.

  • ObamaYoMoma

Here’s the last paragraph from my post that you guys dished:

I’m sorry FPM, but you are allowing what is in reality a Shiite
stealth jihadists to use your magazine as not only a patsy but as a platform to
lobby for US involvement in a jihad we have no business getting involved in. Indeed, this article in reality is a form of non-violent stealth and deceptive jihad in
and of itself whether you realize it or not.

Sorry, got to call em as I see em!

Too bad…I’d really like see how the writer, who, by the way, is a stealth jihadists would react to what I wrote. Apparently, FPM isn’t immune to being duped.

  • ObamaYoMoma

This article was written from a standpoint that we actually won something in Iraq that we have now somehow lost because Obama chose to withdraw from Iraq in 2011, which is utterly ludicrous. We didn’t win anything in Iraq because there was never anything to win.

As a matter of fact, the missions to occupy both Iraq and Afghanistan were exceedingly fantasy-based, extremely misguided, and destined from the very get go to fail no matter what we did and in which case they both inevitably did. Indeed, the idiotic occupations to democratize the Islamic totalitarian world and to lift up Muslims was not only impossible, since Islam is a very rabid form of totalitarianism as opposed to being a real religion, it also amounted to lifting up Muslims, and that is the same thing as lifting up what are in reality our eternal mortal enemies.

In other words, the two nation-building missions in Iraq and Afghanistan are the two greatest strategic blunders ever in American history. We not only blew trillions of dollars down a rat hole, we got our best and brightest killed for exactly nothing, i.e., an impossible fantasy. For that, I don’t blame Obama, although I wish I could. Instead, I have to blame GWB and his administration, as it was he who made the decision to get us involved in that lunacy.

Moreover, there was never a democracy created in either Iraq or Afghanistan, as GWB like the misguided loon he was appointed Zalmay Khalilzad, who was recommended by the venerable Secretary of State, Condi “Appeaser” Rice, first to be ambassador to Afghanistan and then subsequently to be ambassador to Iraq.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Khalilzad like all Muslims was a stealth jihadists and he enshrined both countries’ respective constitutions with Sharia, i.e., Islamic totalitarian law, as the highest authority for law in each country’s respective constitutions. Thereby ensuring at the same time that each country would become democratically elected Sharia Totalitarian States, as the only freedom that Sharia allows is the freedom for Muslims to become more devout slaves of Allah.

Thus, maybe the good doctor here believes that young Americans fighting and dying to preserve what are in effect two Sharia Totalitarian States is worth it, but please forgive me if I totally 100 percent disagree with the good doctor.

In the last week, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has reached a turning point in its extremist movement.

I hate to have to rain on the good doctor’s parade again, but Muslim jihadists, unlike terrorists, are not extremists. As waging jihad in one form or another, either violently as in AQ, or non-violently as in the millions of Muslims that have migrated to America for the nefarious purposes of mass Muslim infiltration and eventual demographic conquest, is a fundamental holy obligation incumbent upon all Muslims. Therefore, all mainstream orthodox Muslims in the world are jihadists in one form or another. Otherwise, they are blasphemous apostates in which case according to the dictates of Islam must be executed.

You see Islam is not a faith-based religion where adherents have the freedom of conscience to choose to believe, i.e., have faith, or to choose not to believe, i.e., not have faith. Instead, it is a so-called religion of submission as all Muslims must totally, completely, and unconditionally submit to the will of Allah under the penalties of death for apostasy and death for blasphemy.

Thus, if a Muslim wants to stop being a Muslim and be an infidel instead, that Muslim is guilty of the capital offense of apostasy and executed. Likewise, if a Muslim similarly openly refuses to wage jihad in the cause of Allah per his/her holy obligation, that Muslim is guilty of the capital offense of blasphemy and executed. Indeed, there is no freedom of conscience in Islam as it is exceedingly totalitarian. Islam comes far closer to meeting the definition of being a cult than it does to being a religion. Whatever it is, it is very different from faith-based religions.

By the way, the “will of Allah” that all Muslims must totally, completely, and unconditionally submit to under the penalties of death for apostasy and death for blasphemy in essence is Sharia, which is Islamic totalitarian law, and the only freedom that Sharia allows is the freedom for Muslims to become more devout slaves of Allah.

In addition, Muslims aren’t terrorists, as terrorism is always and only perpetrated by extremists for various political causes. Muslims are jihadists, i.e., Mujahideen (holy warriors), instead, as all mainstream orthodox Muslims in the world are jihadists in one form or another, as opposed to only radicals and extremists. Moreover, unlike extremists, Muslims aren’t perpetrating terrorism for various political causes. Instead, they are waging jihad (holy war) always and only in the cause of Allah against infidels to ultimately make Islam supreme throughout the world.

Jihad and waging jihad is a manifestation solely unique to Islamic society and it is not the same thing as terrorism, which is a manifestation common to all societies.

Not to mention, that jihadists make terrorists seem meek by comparison, as it is not enough for them just to kill or maim their adversaries, i.e., infidels. They have to lop off their heads while they are still alive and conscious, rub their victim’s blood all over their hands and bodies, drink some of it, disembowel their victims, then drag their mutilated corpses through the streets. In addition, they always make sure to film the entire affair so that they can relive the experience over and over again.

By the way, is the good doctor a Shiite, because if he is then it is perfectly understandable why he is writing this article so disparaging of the Sunni ISIS.

When President Obama has had the chance to stop this radicalized movement in Syria from its root, he chose to be silent and act as a bystander while the Islamic Republic of Iran and Hezbollah (and other Jihadist groups) took the lead.

There is nothing remotely radical about ISIS, as the sole fundamental purpose of mainstream orthodox Islam (as opposed to so-called radical Islam) is the subjugation of all infidels and all religions into Islamic totalitarianism, i.e., harsh and degrading dhimmitude, through both violent and non-violent stealth and deceptive jihad and the eventual imposition of Sharia (Islamic totalitarian law) to ultimately make Islam supreme throughout the world.

The fact of the matter is the Muslims that make up ISIS aren’t any more radical than the millions of Muslims that have migrated to the USA for the nefarious purposes of mass Muslim infiltration and eventual demographic conquest. Again, as the good doctor deliberately fails to mention and also knows full well, all mainstream orthodox Muslims in the world are jihadists in one form or another, right doctor?

    Continued above unfortunately.

  • ObamaYoMoma

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, and their affiliated Jihadists Islamists, are a serious threat to national security and stability in the region.

The only reason Muslims anywhere are a serious threat to national security is because our incompetent politicians have stupidly allowed millions of Muslims to migrate to America, and those millions of Muslims are also jihadists in one form or another. Meanwhile, Muslims killing Muslims in Syria and Iraq may be bad for the Islamic totalitarian world, but for the Infidel world nothing could be better. Indeed, we should look for more cracks and fissures within the Islamic totalitarian world to similarly exploit to our advantage.

being trained in several places, being radicalized, and strengthening the movement.

The notion that Muslims have to be radicalized to become jihadists is a totally absurd myth. Of course, slick Muslim stealth jihadists like the good doctor here who play our politicians like cheap warn out fiddles would like everyone to believe that violent acts of jihad that are conflated as being terrorism have exactly nothing whatsoever to do with Islam. Indeed, it couldn’t be any more obvious, our good doctor here is none other than a stealth and deceptive jihadists on the Shiite side trying to dupe clueless Americans and American politicians into supporting an attack on the Sunni ISIS on behalf of Iran and the Iraq government that for all intents and purposes is Shiite.

  • ObamaYoMoma

Hopefully, he will do what GWB failed to do immediately following the 9/11 violent jihad attacks and ban and reverse mass Muslim immigration with all of its excess baggage ASAP because it is really non-violent stealth and deceptive jihad for the nefarious purposes of mass Muslim infiltration and eventual demographic conquest. Indeed, with no Muslims living in America, waging jihad in America will be impossible. It’s only common sense.

There have been videos and photos posted showing the ISIS jihadist fighters massacring and beheading those people or soldiers whom they have captured.

Of course, those videos will seem exceedingly extreme to the uninitiated and especially to civilized infidels, but for anyone who has been studying Islam for a while, the massacring and beheading of infidels that have been captured in jihad is a common occurrence in Islam since the days that Muhammad was rampaging infidels on the Arabian Peninsula. While that kind of inhumanity to man may seem extremely cruel and harsh by our civilized infidel standards, by Islamic standards, on the other hand, they are par for the course.
