Bracing for Amnesty

obama-angryAmnesty is coming — big time.

Americans need to brace themselves for a huge new wave of Obama-led lawlessness because the president is planning what a top schemer in the White House calls a “very significant” executive action on immigration after the summer.

Undoubtedly this means some kind of amnesty for illegal aliens is in the works over and above what Obama has already done, the Constitution and public fury notwithstanding.

Obama’s “planned executive orders” would give legal status “to another 5–6 million illegal immigrants,” said Sen. Jeff Sessions, (R-Alabama). “This would effectively end immigration enforcement in America.”

Leftist congressman Luis Gutiérrez (D-Ill.) boasted Friday that the Obama administration could unilaterally provide legal status to as many as 5 million illegals. The lawmaker said he planned to meet with White House officials “to negotiate additional terms and avenues the president can use” through executive action.

“I think we can get 3 or 4, maybe even 5 million people,” Gutiérrez said.

The news comes as Americans grow increasingly angry over the border crisis that has been staged and carefully choreographed by the far-left levelers of the Obama administration. Flames of discontent are flickering even in places like Lynn, Massachusetts, long a Democratic Party bastion, as local residents grow weary of the seemingly unending influx of illegal aliens that they are hard-pressed to feed, house, and clothe. As many as an estimated 10,000 people protested illegal immigration outside the Massachusetts legislature in Boston over the weekend.

Because a U.S. Senate-approved immigration package has very little chance of passing the House, Obama has decided yet again to usurp the power of the Congress and make law, a clear violation of the Constitution and an impeachable offense.

But instead of getting serious about border security, the Obama administration views the ongoing invasion by gang members, criminals, and other illegal immigrants from Central America as an opportunity to dynamite what remains of the nation’s southern border. He doesn’t care that plenty of illegal aliens, many of them children, are dying in the act of crossing the border. They are mere collateral damage in the pursuit of so-called justice.

Borrowing a catch-phrase popular among Alinskyite community organizers, Obama advisor Dan Pfeiffer said Friday that the crisis confers “broad permission” to act. The president intends to do an end-run around the “broken Congress” and move forward after consulting with Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Security Security Jeh Johnson, said Pfeiffer whose official title is Assistant to the President and Senior Advisor.

Obama wants to make sure that whatever he does is on “solid legal footing” and has maximum impact, Pfeiffer said. Pro-illegal alien groups like the National Council of La Raza want Obama to stay deportation proceedings for millions of illegals and place those people on a so-called path to citizenship consistent with an immigration reform bill approved by the Senate but stalled in the House, the Christian Science Monitor reports.

Pretending he’s interesting in the well-being of the Grand Old Party, Pfeiffer implied Republicans will take heat from voters if they oppose the Obama scheme.

Republican lawmakers will have to make a decision, he said: “Are they going to go back and try to pass comprehensive immigration reform – [after] which the president will rip up whatever executive action he does the day they pass that? Or are they basically going to set themselves up for the next two and a half years here to be arguing to elect a Republican in order to deport all these people?”

Pfeiffer threw out the red herring of impeachment, as if risk-averse Republicans in the Senate would ever convict Obama of what the Constitution calls “high crimes and misdemeanors” and remove him from office.

“The president acting on immigration reform will certainly up the likelihood that [Republicans] would contemplate impeachment at some point,” said Pfeiffer in an effort to drum up donations to the Democrats’ war chest.

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) has said he has no interest in initiating the impeachment process.

“This is a fundraising exercise for Democrats,” said Boehner aide Michael Steel. “It is telling, and sad, that a senior White House official is focused on political games, rather than helping these kids and securing the border.”

Steel wasn’t just shooting from the hip. The Washington Times reports that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) immediately began begging supporters for money after Pfeiffer’s statement. The email suggested that Boehner’s planned lawsuit against Obama for overstepping his constitutional authority “could lead to the impeachment of President Obama.”

Left-wing activists secretly plotted with Obama at a June 30 White House meeting, Time reports:

They hope [Obama’s] decision will offer relief to a significant percentage of the estimated 11.7 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S. ‘He seems resolute that he’s going to go big and go soon,’ says Frank Sharry, executive director of the pro-reform group America’s Voice.

An incredibly awful reform bill approved by the Democratic-controlled Senate last year is languishing in the Republican-controlled House. Open borders advocates hope lawmakers move on the legislation in the lame duck session of Congress that is expected to follow the November election.

Sen. Sessions previously described the measure as “dangerous,” saying it will devastate America’s labor marketplace and “guarantee” the country will have to grant “another amnesty” in the future.

In a time of unremittingly high unemployment, record food-stamp dependency, and economic stagnation, a minimum of 11 million illegal immigrants would immediately be given Social Security cards that would allow them to compete for government and blue collar jobs. The legislation puts “tremendous pressure” on the job market and makes it harder for workers to find jobs and leave welfare programs, according to Sessions.

Although amnesty remains deeply unpopular among the American public at large, the activist Left wants the low-ball estimate of 11 million illegal aliens present in the U.S. to be processed because they see them as future Democratic voters. In addition, many labor unions, such as SEIU (which has executives focused solely on immigration issues) see today’s illegals as future union members. Business lobbies favor amnesty because they crave the cheap, largely unskilled labor.

The Left’s goal with the current immigration bill, which a Heritage Foundation study found would lard $6.3 trillion onto the nation’s budget deficits over the coming 50 years, is the same as with most of its major policy initiatives over the past half century: To destroy the American system.

As this writer has opined previously, the radicals’ goal is to use immigration to subvert the American system, just as it has been since the 1960s when the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.) shepherded reform of that era’s comparatively sensible immigration laws through Congress. The goal is to import Third World tyranny by flooding America with people who don’t share Americans’ traditional philosophical commitment to the rule of law, limited government, and markets. This would force changes in American society. Latinos are particularly hard to win over to the Republican side because they tend to be ideologically aligned with big-government solutions traditionally associated with Democrats.

An added benefit, from the Left’s perspective, is such a sweeping amnesty would destroy once and for all the Republican Party. Any new bleeding-heart voters it brings into the party will not even come close to offsetting the all-but-certain exodus of fed-up conservatives that enactment of the legislation would spur. Among those disgruntled Republican-leaning voters are the same people whose failure to vote in November 2012 helped to deprive GOP candidate Mitt Romney of the presidency.

Democrats, on the other hand, know with much greater certainty that the legislation will secure more votes for their party. “This legislation is all about the Democrats bringing in new voters who will assure them of a permanent leftist majority,” Paul Mirengoff has written.

President Obama is, of course, a master thespian.

To low-information voters, Obama must now seem like he is coming to the rescue, nipping a growing problem in the bud.

In fact he created all of this political theater, this manufactured border crisis, precisely so he could solve it. And the Radical-in-Chief doesn’t care how many people get hurt or killed as a result of his malevolence.

This was always the crown jewel in the Soros scheme for destroying America and furthering his transnationalistic agenda. Soros once said that United States is the biggest impediment to a global government, and this open border coup is how he and his puppet, Obama, will destroy US sovereingty.

It is imperative that people be heard now — in the streets or on the borders. This is a coup and an invasion all rolled into one. Only a massive counter-movement will stop it.

    • wildjew

Obama seems bound and detemined to make this country a third world hell-hole.

    • hiernonymous

Will you be taking to the streets now? Or is it some other patriot’s blood you are volunteering?

I so often see that tree of liberty quote, and so rarely see any blood.

      • getreal5

It won’t be long now. just wait until some of the new latin american citizens make it like the hell-holes they left as they make them.

      • Wolfthatknowsall

Uptick to grab your attention …

Already, I go to every protest and demonstration I can get to. However, if it comes down to it, blood will be shed. I can guarantee you that I shall shed the blood of America’s enemies before they shed mine …

        • hiernonymous

          I’ll treasure it always!

Are you familiar with the Blues and Greens from Byzantine history?

          • Wolfthatknowsall

Ah, yes. The “football” fans of their day. Thousands died.

However, any comparison between the blood sports of the Romans and people fighting for their Constitutional rights falls flat, on the face of it.

          • hiernonymous

That wasn’t exactly the direction I was taking this. My point is more that the Byzantines could have probably held on for several more centuries, had they not mistaken one another for the true enemies of their state.

          • truebearing

We aren’t the Byzantines and no one needs any of your distractions or discursive bullsh*t.

          • hiernonymous

            “We aren’t the Byzantines…”

History has no lessons for us, eh?

“…and no one needs any of your distractions…”

Well, you don’t want what it pleases you to call distractions, anyway. What you need, and whether you speak for everyone, are different matters.

          • Wolfthatknowsall

Personally, I’ve never hated anyone on the other side of the political divide, until the unceasing attacks on George W. Bush began. After that, all bets were off. He!!, I like Bob Beckel … a plain, old-fashioned liberal … better than about 99% of the people who call themselves “liberals”, today.

Just 5.5 years ago, I never would have thought of taking up arms against my own government. Now, I think it’s no more than 2.5 years away, dependent upon the results of the next two general elections.

This is what we mean when we talk of “refreshing the tree of liberty”. It’s not something that we want to do, and I … quite frankly … expect to die in the process. But sometimes, it becomes necessary.

Think about this as you work for absolute victory.

          • 95Theses

As far as I’m concerned, the Federalist Papers should be required reading for all high school curriculums … and as a adjunct to mandatory courses on the Constitution.

And taking up arms against one’s own government is what the 2nd Amendment was always all about, anyway.

            This, from James Madison:

The right of a nation to kill a tyrant, in cases of necessity, can no more be doubted, than that to hang a robber, or kill a flea. But killing one tyrant only makes way for a worse, unless the people have sense, spirit, and honesty enough to establish and support a constitution guarded at all points against tyranny; against the tyranny of the one, the few, and the many.

I have no idea what this even means. Drama much?

          • Wolfthatknowsall

It’s connected with the paragraph, above it. I have no idea where you live … and I don’t want to know. But if you live in the United States, and America – as we have known it – falls, you might want to make it out of country. This is not going to be a pleasant place for those identified as working against the interests of the American people …

You do know the meaning of the phrase “refreshing the tree of liberty”, right?

          • hiernonymous

Of course I know – that’s why I scoff at the many internet heroes who insist that they are about to water the tree.

If a bit of internet bluster helps people cope with their feelings of impotence in our overpopulated world, good for them. In the unlikely event there is one, I suppose I’ll be called up to help put it down. Oh joy.

          • Drakken

You really don’t understand human nature do you? It will be to your chagrin that you and others of your leftist ilk, will find out the hard way. Just a little more economic downturn, a few random acts of Islamic jihad, and more mass invasion by the 3rd world and whala, instant Balkanization on steroids.

          • hiernonymous

Could be. But I don’t think it will be at the hands ipf the internet big talkers.

          • Drakken

The funny thing about that is, today people are venting their frustrations, tomorrow they may feel that they have been ignored and marginalized to the point where voicing their concerns will no longer get it done. I truly believe that we are in for one h*ll of a rough ride for the status quo is no longer sustainable.

          • hiernonymous

Oh, I think we’re in for a hell of a rough ride all right, but not because a bunch of second-hand Objectivists are having their freedoms stripped away by a cabal of crypto-Marxists and Muslims. We have bigger fish to fry than that. For starters, fresh water to water trees, liberty or otherwise, is going to be harder to come by than blood in a few decades. The optimistic estimates put the population of the world at 9-10 billion by mid-century. Trying to defend a lifestyle predicated on abundance if everything is going to get tricky.

          • Wolfthatknowsall

Hiero, I am a combat veteran, and know many others. Do not conflate the statements made on the internet with the very real intentions of men who have fought for their country. As I said in this thread, I’ve given a definite warning to my Congressman, and asked him to pass it on to Speaker Boehner. I don’t know whether Boehner will listen, but I would say that America is about 27 months away from a decision by a few, then hundreds, then thousands, then millions of people to take the bloody road to civil war.

Do not laugh at these very real threats to the future of the nation. I, myself, train with like-minded men and women on a weekly basis, preparing for just such an eventuality. I can put five 777-gr .50-cal bullets through a standard silhouette target at 2350 yards. I’m “shooting” for 3000 yards through my Barrett (a single-shot bolt-action rifle, which actually is more like a small direct-fire artillery piece). At close range, with the right ammunition, it would penetrate a considerable amount of armor.

Oh joy? Don’t get within range, wearing the uniform of my enemy, when the time comes. Have you ever seen videos of what a .50-cal does to a human when it impacts the body? And note, my training … so many years ago … only taught me to see a uniform, not a human.

One feeling I don’t have is impotence …

          • hiernonymous

            “I am a combat veteran,”

Yeah, yeah, we’re not exactly rare.

Look, if you think that a nice tight shot group when target shooting a bolt action rifle makes you a Force To Be Reckoned With, good for you.

“Oh joy? Don’t get within range, wearing the uniform of my enemy, when the time comes.”

            I’ll sure try not to.

“Have you ever seen videos of what a .50-cal does to a human when it impacts the body?”

Sure, I’ve seen what bullets do. Bricks do a pretty good number on the human body, too. Probably the most gruesome mess I’ve personally seen wasn’t even in a combat zone, oddly enough, but the remains of a motorcyclist’s face after he took a mailbox to the head. Or the other way around, if you want to be technical. The big gaping hole that had been his mouth and nose was too big to get a seal on for mouth-to-mouth, so I just picked chunks of tooth and bone out until I cleared his airway. Couldn’t do CPR on him, because the ribs on one side were all broken and made this horrible sort of grindy noise. Fortunately, his heart started beating again and he started breathing on his own, and about the time the cops got there, he actually regained consciousness. Took a cop on each arm to keep him from clawing at his face while he made this endless gurgling scream.

Your club isn’t practicing with mailboxes, is it? Now that might get me quaking in my boots.

Tell you what – let’s take the portentous threats and dire warnings as a given, and I’ll check back in with you in 27 months and see if the Revolution has started. Deal?

          • Wolfthatknowsall

“Club.” That’s sweet. Perhaps we have a club charter, with a President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and so on?

When the troubles begin, no, we won’t be shooting at mailboxes. Also, when it starts, we won’t be available to “check back” with. We’ll be shooting .. ahem! … other things, and we won’t be throwing bricks.

          • truebearing

            That’s a cogent argument.

I’ve already taken to the streets at Tea Party protests surrounded by 50,000 union thugs and leftists. I have personally, physically blocked union thugs and Marxist mutants from entering the Tea Party’s area, and I have taken hand cranked sirens from leftist punks trying to drown out Sarah Palin. I’m not afraid of going to the streets. I’m not afraid to fight. I was taught to fight from the time I was a little kid.

Oh, and I’ve said this to you before, but in case you didn’t get the message: FU, a-hole.

        • hiernonymous

Ah, you’ve shouldered your way through a crowd so that you could do a bit of shouting, have you?

If that’s all you meant by “watering the tree of liberty,” I don’t think that you and Tom were on the same sheet of music.

Have you ever done that to anyone?

          Did they ever find out?

          • truebearing

You asked if I would be taking to the streets, moron. I already have. Are you going to continue to ask the same stupid question?

Jefferson didn’t fight on the battlefield during the Revolution but he took plenty of personal risks and fought the battle in the way he was most useful. Are you going to denigrate his contributions, or are you just proud of the fact that you taught hemmorhoids how to speak?

          • hiernonymous

“You asked if I would be taking to the streets, moron.”

I meant to fight, not to scream. But if standing with your friends and yelling is “watering the tree of liberty,” well, okay.

“Are you going to denigrate his contributions”

Are you comparing your contributions to his? Do you think that Jefferson would have claimed to have been one who ‘watered the tree of liberty?’ Come on, try to think a bit more clearly.

          • truebearing

You can’t be serious. Protests are a numbers game, not the quest of a lone ranger. Movements don’t start out as an avalanche. They are started by those who are unafraid of tyrants and build until the tyrants are run out of power…ideally. The alternative is an ugly proposition, but may be necessary given the objectives of the Soros-Obama cabal. You know their objectives. that is why you are here playing the role of professional a-hole.

Jefferson’s quote is a reminder of the peril we face from a growing government that is more Fascist than any in the nation’s history. Quoting him is a reminder that freedom isn’t an entitlement and has to be fought for. Instead of criticizing what is happening to the nation, you are more interested in nitpicking and playing your childish little games. You’re a gnat. A mosquito. A bedbug. Not a serious person. You are obsessed with quibbling over trivial things, but never have anything worthwhile to offer.

President Obama said that he was going to transform America and that’s exactly what he’s doing. Unfortunately this will be toward the detriment of this once great country. Obviously, what the majority of what the populace wants is of no concern to him. His extreme leftist ideology is all he cares about. How foolish Americans were to vote him into office, twice no less. Let’s hope that all the damage he will undoubtedly do over the next two years (and it will be massive) will be reversed when we get a much needed conservative in the White House.

This is why I have been warning my friends against Civil War v2.0. Millions would die, and the end-result would be the world’s greatest superpower split into regional countries. America would never recover.

However, if it comes, I will be somewhere on the frontlines, despite my age. I don’t expect to survive. However, death in combat is certainly better than dying as an old man in a nursing home, in a pool of my own urine …

How about a worst case scenario? The “just thinkin'” mime of pop culture.
Obama grants amnesty this year. Then serval months of “registering” and “enrolling”.
Timing is important. Get the list, computerize it, DNC gets a copy, updated daily of course. Then, about 14 months prior to November 2016, Obama pardons each person on the list. Immediately the ACLU, the DNC, the DoJ file suits to mandate they be allowed to vote in Federal Elections regardless of State laws (States allegedly control voter rolls). Massive “voter drive” gets underway. Maybe even an executive order mandating enrollment of “the listees” to be placed auto-magically on the rolls.
Actually, why not add more interesting story elements? For example, As part of the enrolling, have teams that enroll the amnesty-guest worker folks in districts that are “purple” or which are close to purple. Then, another executive order allowing “Vote by mail” for Federally Elected officials which allows for the national voter fraud machine to produce mail-in votes. Even better, as part of the “enrollment” in step one, scan in an image of each enrollees signature which is then auto-photoshopped onto the Federal Mail In ballot.
And why not add another story line to remove one or more SCOTUS judges prior to January, 2015 (in case Reid loses the Senate). Pick your method (it’s fiction) of creating an opening.
Thus, for the Nov 2016 election, the Dems win back control of the House and the Senate and the Presidency. All “peacefully” under “the law”.
    Almost believable.

    • Wolfthatknowsall

Your scenario is not far-fetched. I can see it happening.

except the part where people start shooting, because they know the game is rigged.

        • Drakken

It is pretty much over except for the shooting to start. If amnesty is passed, it’s all over, it is just that simple, plus add in a couple more million people losing their jobs and things will go downhill fast.

I think it’s a mistake to keep saying “bide our time until November”, because unfortunately November may be too late — considering the not-so-far fetched possibility that Obama may decree that all those illegal aliens to whom he has granted amnesty are likewise conferred immediate citizenship — resulting in 30 million new Liberal voters. And then what’s the plan?

As much as I dislike saying so, it may well be time for a military coup, because impeachment won’t prevent any of the above from happening. Your scenario or mine.

      • CapitalistPig

Jews as liberals is something that has perplexed me my entire life. If there is a natural constituency for conservatism–it should be Jewish Americans. If any group should have a natural suspicion of the expansion of government power & its potential for abuse you would think it would be Jewish people.

        • Marsha

Amen! It is completely understandable why so many Jewish people are prone to liberalism given historical realities but my hope is that many will eventually wake up. Some of the most righteous conservatives (not neocons – real conservatives) I know are Jews.

Articles posted here and poll after poll has shown that the largest group of supporters of Israel in the US are conservatives, not liberals. I wish more would see the very real dangers of leftism and join us.

Because of my background, he was perplexed, and couldn’t believe that someone with my credentials would say something like that.

However, I told him not to expect the American people, and especially combat veterans, to allow America to be raped by the Left without a fight. This is where we made a connection, because he also is a combat veteran.

Though I’ll keep what I said to myself, here, I sent a message through him to Speaker Boehner.

Sen. Cruz and Rep S. King are right: there ought to be a law. The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy was brought into being by executive order, not by Congress. And now in order to fully and “humanly” implement this executive order, their parents, siblings and other family members must also be given legal status through an executive order. Using executive orders to implement other executive orders should not be legal, or be able to be carried forward without Congressional approval, and without such Congressional approval, the original executive order is revoked by Congress. There ought to be a law.

Even better would be to make the building of it part of the campaign. Any construction business willing to step up early and announce they support immigration reform that prevents illegal immigration should be given first shot at competing for contracts.

There is no sense in giving contracts to the very same corporations that want illegal immigration. In fact that would also be a good strategy. You want illegal alien workers than you don’t want business from American government. Go to those countries for contracts.

Someday those of us without sail boats may need to be able to get back out.

      • MattBracken

DNA, that is a very defeatist attitude. You are saying that the totalitarians will win, disarm us, and be able to push us around USSR-style, to the point where a few proles might hope to escape southward over the border. Do you plan to surrender your freedom so easily? I say a country under invasion (D-day=fast speed, today= slow speed, just as dangerous) should have appropriate counter-invasion defenses. If it chooses not to build such defenses, and man them appropriately, then that nation is a nation on the way to extinction, unwilling even to defend itself against an ultimately hostile external take over, one orchestrated by a class of elite Quislings while we watched in the plain light of day.

Review the constitution, Article 4:4 and Article 1:10, it is all we need to do to justify running the San Diego border fence for 2,000 miles. The beauty of the concept RIGHT NOW is that it would force every congress critter, right now, to go on the record for November. “Are you fer it or agin it, Congressman Smith? Will you vote for the Sessions-Cruz Border Fence Bill, today, or not?”

If your answer is no, expect to be kicked out of office in November. Of course, before November, the Senate and the POTUS will not sign the bill. That is part of the timing. In a GOP Senate in 2015, the border fence bill will pass, but Obama will veto it. Unless 2/3 vote to override him, in a GOP-led congress and senate. But even if Obama sustains his veto, it will set up a populist, conservative, “tea party” type insurrectionist 2016 candidate.

Word: The first plausible GOP presidential would-be nominee who comes out strongly for the border fence as his #1 “Build the Panama Canal, Put a man on the moon,” priority, will win the whitehouse in a landslide. Then, maybe, we can both defend the open border, and begin to unravel the damage that Obama did.

        • DNA Explains It All

My comment sounded worse than it was intened, no surrender is not on the menu. I was just playing devils advocate and only made the sail boat jab to say I was aware of you and your pastimes is all. Heck with all the boats on the market right now and for as cheap as they currently are I may become a boat owner sooner than later myself. Good to have a backup plan. :)

          • MattBracken

A boat is always a good idea, but we need to be ready to enforce the terms of the Constitution the hard way, come what may.

      in the late 90s.
To bad Harry Reid’s Democrat won’t vote for the Republican bills that have passed and are stacking up in his Senate.. One way to keep the Democrat

BTW, are you the same person who was at the SD Reagan Home porting and the dinner that evening?

  • NOamnestyEVER

It started, like his lies on “Hope & Change” the first day of his first term!

“But instead of getting serious about border security, the Obama administration
views the ongoing invasion by gang members, criminals, and other illegal
immigrants from Central America as an opportunity to dynamite what remains of
the nation’s southern border. He doesn’t care that plenty of illegal aliens, many of them children, are dying in the act of crossing the border. They are mere collateral damage in the pursuit of so-called justice.”

  • j.veritas

Border Agents are are hearing illegal children, while being apprehended, claiming “Obama Will Take Care of Me.” People who can’t speak English seem to also have a unique quality of understanding words like “amnesty” and “asylum.” Hmm, sounds like we’ve had a little coaching going on here.

Scott Brown becomes first U.S. Senate candidate in nation to run ad on immigration crisis

    Jul 28, 2014

MANCHESTER, N.H. —Republican U.S. Senate candidate Scott Brown is set to become the first U.S. Senate candidate in the country to air a television ad over the immigration crisis on the nation’s southern border.

The 30-second ad that is scheduled to air this week on WMUR-TV and on cable stations in the state begins with Brown saying that Americans must go through security when they “get on a plane, enter a government building or attend a ballgame. But folks who come here illegally just walk across the border….

… staged and choreographed by the far-left levelers of the Obama administration.

No doubt, but I imagine elitist GOP supporters of amnesty are snickering to themselves.

Lynn, Mass must be deemed too “white” by the left’s social engineers. This practice of cultural “justice” has been in practice for decades. In the past, bright, white Minnesota was colonized with SE Asians and Somalis.

I disagree that the choreographed invasion is a Dem/GOP fight for future voters. Rather I believe it is a move by the oligarchy of both persuasions, to forever kill the American middle class, who have been tainting their quaint resort hideaways for the last few decades.

The ultimate result will be very cheap labor in perpetuity, with the additional benefit of a deep drop in entrepreneurship.

Obama was actually against tyranny before he was for it.

“Believe me, the idea of doing things on my own is very tempting, I promise you. Not just on immigration reform.”
“But that’s not how,” the president said. “That’s not how our system works.”

  • bittman

If Obama issues the “rumored” Executive Order granting amnesty to millions of immigrants who are in our country illegally because they entered illegal (2/3’s of the illegals) or overstayed their visas (1/3), Congress should immediately ask the Supreme Court to convene an emergency session and get an immediate ruling on the constitutionality of such an EO. They cannot wait to sue on this — once he has granted amnesty, there will be no turning back the clocks. I am becoming afraid Obama will go down in history as not only our first Black President — but also our first dictator. If this happens, our generation of Americans will go down in history as the generation that allowed our Constitution to be destroyed. And, our country will most likely become as lawless as the Central American countries that many of the current people who are invading our country come from.
