Ferguson in Flames

APTOPIX Ferguson_Schu(29)Grand jurors in Ferguson, Mo., refused to indict local police officer Darren Wilson yesterday, heroically resisting pressure from President Obama on down to lynch an innocent police officer who fought off a violent attacker.

The decision is infuriating left-wingers across America because it rebuts the underlying assumption they embrace which is that white police racism caused the death of Michael Brown, a young black thug who tried to seize Wilson’s gun in an attempt to do the officer harm.

As fresh rioting was already underway in the St. Louis area, the decision also angered President Obama who could barely contain his hostility in a disgraceful, unprecedented television appearance following the release of the announcement about the non-indictments. Obama urged activists to refrain from using violence. The president himself bears direct responsibility for fomenting the combustible situation, however.

The county’s elected prosecuting attorney, Robert McCulloch, calmly explained the process in detail last night that the grand jury employed in choosing not to return indictments in five potential charges from first-degree murder to lesser offenses.

McCulloch is a white Democrat who has come under heavy fire from race-baiting members of his own political party. His partisans hate him because he does not share their antipathy for police officers, and presumably, because he is the wrong color. McCulloch easily secured the Democratic nomination for his office in a primary election four days before Brown was killed. In that contest, he handily beat former state public defender Leslie T. Broadnax, a black woman, by a margin of 71.4 percent to 28.6 percent.

McCulloch said many witnesses gave testimony that was not believable. Witnesses fabricated events, admitted they were in error, clung to discredited factual accounts, or gave evidence inconsistent with the physical evidence.

McCulloch said grand jurors were “the only people who heard every witness … and every piece of evidence.”

“These grand jurors poured their hearts and soul into this process,” he said. The grand jury consisted of nine whites and three blacks and was meeting every week since Aug. 20 to hear evidence in the fatal shooting of Michael Brown. The panel convened for 70 hours and heard from 60 witnesses.

Perhaps in a conciliatory gesture to those who wanted Wilson strung up, McCulloch referred to the death of Brown and the events surrounding it as tragic. Obama too used the word tragic.

But that is the wrong word.

Recall that Brown, an 18-year-old black male, was killed in Ferguson, Mo., on Aug. 9 by white police officer Darren Wilson after he attacked Wilson and tried to grab his handgun. Brown’s defenders characterize him as a gentle giant even though a few minutes earlier he was captured on video committing a strong-arm robbery at a convenience store, roughing up a much smaller clerk in the process. At autopsy Brown’s height was 6′ 5″ and his weight was 289 lbs. As previously reported, autopsy results were consistent with witness accounts that Brown reached for Wilson’s gun during their fateful altercation.

Brown’s death was not tragic. He was a villain. The evidence shows that he initiated potentially deadly force against an officer of the law and suffered the consequences of his actions. Grand jurors only needed a little bit of evidence to indict Officer Wilson. The evidence needed only to establish that probable cause existed to charge Wilson with a crime. The prosecution couldn’t even satisfy that low legal bar. The Wilson case may never have made it to a grand jury at all were it not for the antics of left-wing racial grievance groups working with and taking directions from the Obama administration.

The decision not to indict Wilson is not a tragedy. Far from it. The decision is just, proof that the grand jury system that was created to prevent governments from railroading unpopular defendants still works.

The tragedy is that Wilson had to be subjected to a three-month-long circus in which he was wrongfully accused of being a racist, murdering cop. He was demonized in the media day in and day out, a process that continues in the nation’s newsrooms even after last night’s announcement.

Petulant, as America’s childish Commander-in-Chief is wont to be when he fails to get his way, Obama sounded angry that grand jurors failed to indict Officer Wilson. The plot by Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder, and Obama operative Al Sharpton to lynch Wilson in the courts failed.

Coming across like a Latin American caudillo, Obama sounded disgusted with Ferguson police and police forces across the nation in a press briefing last night.

Instead of accepting the grand jury’s wise decision, Obama set about stoking the flames. After spending months stirring up racial antagonism, Obama pontificated as if an innocent bystander of the events.

The decision “was going to be subject of intense disagreement not only in Ferguson, but across America, so I want to just say a few words suggesting how we might move forward,” he said, without noting that Wilson’s use of justifiable force against Brown became a national issue at his instigation.

Ignoring the fact that the death of Michael Brown had everything to do with his threatening, abusive behavior and absolutely nothing to do with his race, Obama implied cops hate minorities.

“We need to recognize that the situation in Ferguson speaks to broader challenges that we still face as a nation,” Obama said, even though no broader challenges that we face as a nation played a role in Brown’s death.

“The fact is, in too many parts of this country, a deep distrust exists between law enforcement and communities of color,” he said, without noting that he and his comrades-in-arms in the world of community organizing have created distrust and disharmony where none previously existed.

Obama then blamed white people for Michael Brown attacking Darren Wilson.

“Some of this is the result of the legacy of racial discrimination in this country,” Obama said even though there is no evidence that the residue of racial discrimination played any role in Brown’s death.

“And this is tragic, because nobody needs good policing more than poor communities with higher crime rates,” Obama said. “The good news is we know there are things we can do to help, and I’ve instructed Attorney General Holder to work with cities across the country to help build better relations between communities and law enforcement.” Obama said this even though the case at hand provided no evidence that there is a problem between communities and law enforcement.

The president then pivoted to make a pitch for affirmative action in police departments:

That means working with law enforcement officials to make sure their ranks are representative of the communities they serve. We know that makes a difference. It means working to train officials so that law enforcement conducts itself in a way that is fair to everybody. It means enlisting the community actively on what should be everybody’s goal, and that is to prevent crime.

These are mere policing platitudes Obama is lip-syncing as he advances the notion that only black police officers are suited to work in black communities. We do not know that it makes a difference. In fact, enforced diversity can be deadly.

We know that in the rush to furnish communities with cops of the correct skin color corners are likely to get cut and people will die as a result. Economist John Lott found in a 2000 study that the apartheid approach to police staffing led to increases in violent crime, especially in black neighborhoods. This is because the forced lowering of standards put less-qualified officers of all skin colors on the streets.

Even though the justice system ultimately worked in Ferguson, Obama pretends there is still a problem because there aren’t enough blacks in the local constabulary, in his view. He urged communities “interested in working with this administration and local and state officials to start tackling much-needed criminal justice reform,” even though the Brown-Wilson saga does not prove any reform of the criminal justice system is needed.

Obama continued ignoring the facts, insisting there is a problem.

“We have made enormous progress in race relations over the course of the past several decades … but what is also true is that there are still problems and communities of color aren’t just making these problems up,” Obama said, again ignoring that there is no evidence of a problem.

“Those who are only interested in focusing on the violence and just want the problem to go away need to recognize that we do have work to do here, and we shouldn’t try to paper it over,” he said without proving there is any work to be done. “Whenever we do that, the anger may momentarily subside, but over time, it builds up and America isn’t everything that it could be.”

It is as if the psychosis our troubled president suffers from regarding Ebola, the virus Obama is lovingly importing from West Africa, has spread to other issues as well. Only Obama and his fellow travelers say there is a problem in Ferguson.

The mass hysteria over Michael Brown’s death that Obama and his allies generated continues.

It is yet another success for America’s first Alinskyite president.

A grinning President Obama should have a caption that reads does someone smell something burning? Can you picture it?

Obama poisons race relations every chance he gets because he thinks just as every other racist thinks.

Individuals are not defined by their skin color, they are defined by their minds. I think, therefore I am.

Obama, being the collectivist leftist that he is, thinks like a racist. He puts people in groups and assigns values to them by which group they belong to. People are not groups – nor should they be judged by their skin color. Yet, this is what leftists do because they are the true racists.

Instead of grouping people, we need to recognize the reality that every person is a unique individual. Each individual should be judged by his or her own actions and held accountable by his or her actions – not by which group they belong to.

“Multiculturalism” is a program that is FORCED upon EVERY & ONLY White countries.

“Multiculturalism” is a program to turn EVERY White country into a non-White country.

            This IS geNOcide. WHITE geNOcide.

If you are White, and you object to your own geNOcide, you are called a RACIST!

Well guess what, my people, White people, are catching on very quickly to the following two things:

1 – Multiculturalism is a code for White geNOcide.

            2 – Anti-racist is a code for anti-White.

In the 1960′s “Anti-racists” forced EVERY & ONLY white countries to open their borders to massive non-white immigration.

Then “Anti-racists” FORCED ALL & ONLY white people to “integrate” or face consequences for being “intolerant”.

Now “Anti-racists” are calculating that ALL and ONLY white children will become minorities and eventually EXTINCT!

If “Anti-racists” did this to EVERY & ONLY black countries, IT WOULD be called a GENOCIDE!

Obama is using a dialectical cycle of crises to redistribute power to blacks and minorities.

Thesis: It is unlawful to attack the police.

Antithesis: The police only shoot black men.

Synthesis: police must hire officers who are black so that less blacks are killed. Laws must be modified to protect black criminals, or more criminal mob violence will occur.

Crisis is the Progressive Engine. With each compromise and capitulation by society, the Left incrementally moves closer to dissolution of that society. The laws and morals need to be destroyed for the revolution to work, so crises are generated that will result in “solutions” that redistribute power to the Left’s victim clients, therefore to the Left.

The only way to stop this dialectical, and diabolical, progression is to refuse compromise and severely punish the people responsible for fomenting racial violence and hatred. The problem is that tens of millions of idiots elected an evil expert in creating racial crises to be our president.

In a multitude of ways, the protesters are aping the behavior and values of the most vicious klaverns from the lynching era of 90 years ago. Their premeditated, targeted destruction of property, attacks on the police, and the demands on police to conform to certain types of responses when dealing with their violence is chillingly identical to records of Klan violence. Then there is the looting of select victims’ property, the mob hunting down its prey, and the media colluding with them.

These are nightriders and this has all happened before. Only the part where the president and attorney general take part is new. Even prejudiced presidents attempted to use their authority to tamp down extralegal mob violence.

The biggest irony is that decades of education allegedly dedicated to “hate hurts” diversity, sensitivity and an endless recounting of America’s racial sins has apparently done. Othing but act as a training manual.

I agree that the call for the ‘lynching’ of this light-skinned police officer is very similar to the KKK (Democrats) calling for the lynching of a dark-skinned person only because of their skin color. Reversing racism does not solve racism, nor is it justified by any historical background.

Obama was extremely juvenile and foolish to say that “legacy” had anything to do with this case. This was purely a case of self defense by a police officer – nothing else.

What Obama is his leftist buddies can’t seem to understand is that the solution to racism is not to reverse it – it is to eliminate it. Quit putting people in groups and treat each person as the unique individual they are.

      • ricpic

Excuse me but racism is not the most terrible thing in the world. Far from it. In fact, what many well meaning shallow people call racism is in actuality a realistic assessment of the likelihood that those three young black males walking toward you represent the possibility of THE END OF YOUR LIFE. So you cross the street. And if they cross after you you get ready with whatever weapon you’ve had the sense to carry JUST IN CASE. And maybe you LIVE. Yes, a live RACIST. As opposed to a dead fool.

        • truebearing

Avoiding the three black males isn’t racism. It is discrimination, which is a good thing and a component of wisdom. The Left perverted the connotation of the word “discrimination” so people confused it to mean racism.

The capacity to discriminate is one of the first things the Left wanted to eliminate in people. Those who discriminate see evil clearly…hardly advantageous for the Left. Discrimination is a process people use in making moral choices. Again, morality is something the Left needs to destroy, then supplant with political correctness.
Notice that political correctness isn’t about figuring out what is true or moral, it is blindly following a set of arbitrary social rules, even when those rules make no sense or threaten your life. One who effectively discriminates ignores false morality, therefore avoids the black street thugs. Discrimination is anathema to political correctness because it destroys the potential for political correctness to control people’s choices. Hence the Left’s early efforts to pollute the word’s meaning by conflating it with racism.

Racism is a much simpler thing to define than the Left will allow it is. It means hating any and all of any race.

If you didn’t hire a black man for a job in your company, or rent him an apartment, the Left would immediately say that that is “discrimination,” ie. racism. Yes, it is discrimination, but it isn’t racism. Discrimination isn’t solely restricted to ascertaining another person’s race. You might have not hired him because he wasn’t qualified, had no experience, had a criminal record, hadn’t graduated from high school, or had a poor work history. Likewise, you might not rent to him because he has a history of evictions, a criminal record, several pit bulls, or gang tattoos all over his face. Yes, you discriminated, but not on purely racial grounds.

Racism, in the true meaning of the word, is wrong. Discrimination is good.

The Urban dictionary has almost thirty varied definitions for the hip hip-hop verb bum-rush. Michael Brown demonstrates one in the video robbery at the convenience store where we see him bum-rush the store owner. The sad evidence suggests that he repeats the tactic as the last decision he makes in bum-rushing Officer Wilson. The Community Organizer runs deep in our President and rather than leadership and reconciliation he will continue to misrepresent and agitate. Rest assured, he never lets a good tragedy, or a crisis go to waste. From Amnesty to Ferguson, in a weeks time we have a clinic on textbook Cloward and Piven. This show is coming to your town and my town…who is next?

The staggering amount of violent crime committed by black American males means there’s going to be far more confrontations between leos and black thugs than with other groups of Americans. A certain pct.of these confrontations will result in the injury or death of either the leo or the black criminal, but usually the black criminal. In a few cases there will be questions of propriety i.e. whether the shooting (and killing) was justified or not.
Nevertheless, without the incredible amount of crime committed by a very small pct. of the population, we wouldn’t constantly be subjected to these stories.
In all likelihood there will be another Michael Brown black “martyr” in very short order. But just as sure for every Michael Brown there are thousands more black males shot and killed by other black males. Plus hundreds of people of other ethnicities will be murdered by black males annually.

So what is the real problem…the occasional (and almost always justified as in the Brown case) shooting of a black thug or the incredible amount of violent crime committed by a very small subset of the American population?

Those with any familiarity with the case did not expect an indictment, at least based on the merits.

The truth here is uglier than that.

Obama and the Left wanted this police officer destroyed, knowing that the officer acted lawfully.

We’ve seen this before – when Negro mobs danced in the streets upon the acquittal of O.J., knowing full well that he was guilty.

We saw it in the Duke Lacrosse rape case, where the prosecutor was disbarred and eventually jailed for railroading innocent boys.

What is astonishing about all this is that these people claim the moral high ground, and we let them get away with it.

The commentary states that Michael Brown’s behavior was the behavior of a threatening, abusive person and had “absolutely nothing to do with his race.” On that latter issue, I agree in part and disagree in part. Yes, he got shot not because he was a black person, but because he was a thug. But his thuglike behavior, I think, is at least partly attributable to the regrettable social custom that young black men must be appeased because of the assumption that their race is so badly treated.

Recall that, “suicide by . . .” is a various invention: !) some one intends their own death, brandishes say, a weapon before leos, and is killed; 2) some one reports something, or claims showing that, they are in a position to blow the whistle, “They shoot historians—don’t they?”, and that one is found dead—a right-handed killed, and the gun still held in his right hand, . . . “He committed suicide.” was the news report about Hillary Clinton’ lawyer, . . . and so on, . . .

B.O. is hopeless. He is incapable of seeing reality without it being skewed with his ‘social justice’, victim, Alinskyite, Big Brother, worldview. He is so indoctrinated with this crap that he actually believes it. As he goes into retirement, we should get used to hearing more of this type of cow dung from the Socialist in Chief.
The only time he will honestly face truth and reality is when he faces his Creator.

    • PhillipGaley

      “when he faces his Creator.”?

Yes, . . . his Creator, . . . and when that Author of Confusion takes him, . . . finally takes him, . . . he should enjoy so much of golfing and other forms of fun as he might because, this is the best life he will ever see, for, “Whom the gods are set to destroy, they first, bless.”, . . .

“That means working with law enforcement officials to make sure their ranks are representative of the communities they serve.” Is this a call for more Affirmative Action & race based hiring? Negroes are free to apply to any position in this country, “IF” they can meet the prerequisites & pass the training. Why is it that they fail to either apply, or cannot complete the training? America must remain a “Meritocracy” IOT compete with the rest of the world…

No country should ever support lawlessness or excuse criminals of their crimes.,
regardless of their colour! People of colour should look to the many talented
men and women of colour who Always show their trust and devotion to America! Some are well-known, and others are just doing their job, and are
supporting their country, along with those whose colour is ”lighter”.
Instead of forcing his Illegal immigration policy, Obama should realize that many young American teeners
are suffering from poor living conditions and have few opportunities to continue their studies. This situation should receive immediate attention from your new government!
I hope you are able to read this from me. Yesterday I fell outside my house,
during bad weather, along with my groceries. My left hand and arm is for the
time- being not capable for good communication. But you surely Americans must
realize that if you are to continue as a free nation, that there should be more
help available to help young poor students, regardless of their colour.

    • phoebeintheforest

Good grief! I think the amount of money spent per student in America is one of the highest in the world. What we need are better parents.

    • tagalog

As an American, I am all in favor of there being more help for poor young students; I just don’t want my tax money being diverted into some government agency for that purpose. Let those who believe in helping poor young students contribute from their own funds and leave the rest of our population alone. I’d give $20 myself privately on a voluntary, uncoerced basis. I bet most Americans would.

Hi Rosasolis, we will keep you in our prayers, and I pray you are feeling better after your fall!

WHERE ARE THE PILE OF DEAD BODIES THAT SHOULD BE ON THE GROUND IN FERGUSON THIS MORNING? THE COPS SHOULD HAVE BEEN SHOOTING AND KILLING EVERY RIOTER AND LOOTER UNTILL THEY DISPERSED. AND THE ONES MISSED BY THE COPS SHOULD HAVE BEEN SHOT BY STORE AND HOME OWNERS PROTECTING THEMSELVES AND THEIR PROPERTY. I FEEL SORRY FOR MICHAEL BROWN’S PARENTS, BUT THEY RAISED THIS 300 POUND THUG.

  • Harry_the_Horrible

Call out the National Guard and give them “shoot on sight” instructions for looters and rioters.

    • http://www.facebook.com/aemoreira81 aemoreira81

And that would cost the taxpayers millions in lawsuits. The governor has to watch the state’s bank account. If local police are failing…that is to be hung on them!

      • Harry_the_Horrible

Kill enough of ‘em and might still realize a savings in welfare spending, and lower crime.

  • Peter Castle

Riots, arson, and looting are hardly ingredients for “justice.” The left’s policies for the past fifty years have created the Michael Browns of today.

  • 11bravo

    There is no other conclusion
to draw other than the Alinsky in chief is “really” trying to sow confusion and
crises one after the other to achieve a higher calling, namely, burning down
    the country.

Not only did the democrat governor
NOT put national guard on the streets of Ferguson, he essentially just let it
    burn!

This seems to be the common
    thread among Progressives.

    Barrack Obama and Eric Holder
could have avoided the riots completely.

    Using the NSA every cell
phone in the area could have been monitored to confiscate most Molotov cocktail
stash’s, and round up the agitators in the hours prior to the public
    announcement.

    Of course these methods would
have resulted in no convictions, and possibly many civil lawsuits but… much of
the mayhem could have been avoided.

    Not to mention the impact
that “could” have been if Holder and Obama were on the airwaves for the last 3
months demanding civil behavior from the black community, it’s Pastor’s, and
    other civil rights hooligan’s.

    Black community leaders; Stop
the incitement! Stop the victim-hood propaganda! Stop the madness!!!

    • Dan Knight

Bravo 11′ good comment: let me add … use the police state to prevent violence? That’s why ‘police state’ is an oxymoron. The H&O use the state to target their political enemies while innocent people including the cops in Ferguson and the business owners are left hanging and burning. …

    • truebearing

The Left, or at least the black left, is trying to provoke an excuse for martial law. The governor was afraid to send in the National Guard. Some of Obama’s Shock Troops could have been injured.

  • Hard Little Machine

The black communities must at least wonder just how Dems, the MSMoutlets have made things worse for blacks. 12 minority businesses burned down. What geniuses! Time for blacks with common sense to start rejecting Dems and give the GOP a chance to build the economy, school choice and to teach family unity instead of a 70% out of wedlock births. The black savages are not friends of the common sense blacks left and neither is the Dem Party.

    • Dan Knight

One has to ask oneself why there was so much lying testimony by so called witnesses about Michael Brown being shot in the back. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMuzdksGRXc&feature=youtu.be
Could it be blacks who hate whites seeing this as an opportunity to get whitey?

  • RMThoughts

What goes around comes around. Our Our National Endowment for Democracy (NED), act as our global community organizer and it’s NGO’s to create civil unrest, riots to manipulate public opinion in other countries perform regime change – Ukraine the most recent.
Now Obama, the community organizer in chief brings the chickens of unrest and civil strife home to roost in Ferguson to further his “fundamental transformation” of America.

  • http://www.apollospeaks.com/ ApolloSpeaks

Right. They’re going down in ignomy with Obama.

  • Colt

The Dear Leader and Mr. Witholder should keep their racist noses out of Ferguson. This is a matter for the local authorities. The Grand Jury took an honest look at all the evidence and came to the correct conclusion.
If these idiotic “protesters” insist on burning and looting turn the police and owners of the businesses loose on them. My guess is they will disappear like the cockroaches they are.
Brown was a thug plain and simple. He would have likely ended up dead at the hands of another thug. He made the mistake of trying to kill a police officer.

  • bob1123

if his parents had taught him right from wrong, instead of thinking he can take whatever, whenever, like the world owed him.he would still be alive,so when you get down to it, the parents can blame nobody but themselves.

  • Dan Knight

Good line Matthew: “The decision is just, proof that the grand jury system that was created to prevent governments from railroading unpopular defendants still
    works.

If the Left cared about unpopular defendants, diversity, or minority rights, they would be celebrating Wilson’s reprieve from false accusations … but justice was served, so we have riots burning, looting, and injuring innocent bystanders including black business owners. Typical of racists, they do not even care for their self-claimed own! Which is par. That’s why we care about them.

“Some of this is the result of the legacy of racial discrimination in this country,”

A blatant Big Lie Classic from an International Socialist Pig….
    1. The Demokkkrats invented racism here.
    2. They used Evolution and Science to justify it.
    3. They attacked ‘Unbelievers’ in their Evolutionary creationism as bleep, and bleep, bleep. We can’t even put it on a thread. Translation: Science Deniers and Other-Color Friends.
    4. They outlawed reading for blacks: And the Bible, Christianity, Church Going, Marriage, and even voluntary emancipation by slave owners.
    5. They fought a bloody flippin’ war to keep blacks down.
    6. The Big Lying Hitler in Chief then ignores the fact that AMERICA IS THE ONLY NATION EVER IN TIME AND SPACE where any race (White) fought and died to End Slavery for Another (black) race.
    7. Unsatisfied with the result the Demokkkrats invented Segregation, and the KKK – lynching over 3000 people including more than 1,000 whites.
    8. They burned Churches, and
    9. They hated Jews and
    10. They hated Catholics and
    11. They attacked anyone who spoke out.
    12. They burned my grandfather’s saw mill to the ground when he hired American WW2 Veterans (who were black) because they could not get a job, because the Demokkkrats would not hire them. My grandfather faced the Japanese bigots on Iwo Jima, but he had no fire power to deal with the Demokkkrats in ’48.
    13. Then, after their last big act of anti-black hatred, voting against the CRA of ’64, they adopted the Commie Pinko Plan of bringing down America by Hating Whitey.
    14. And their bile flows ever on, just as it always has, with the usual suspects pushing the ball, and the Useful Idiots helping to fan the flames.
    15. The Hitler in Chief is not only a liar: He is an Uncle Tom and a race-traitor, as well as an anti-truth, anti-justice racist pig.

The authorities in Ferguson and the state had lots and lots of time, weeks, months maybe, to prepare for the riots that they were so sure were coming.

How come when those riots came, so much property was destroyed? Why weren’t the authorities prepared to protect the property of the citizens? Why were they caught so off-guard?

Where were the shopowners with their shotguns and rifles, stationed in their businesses to protect their investments? Were they discouraged from doing that?

    • JayWye

the shopowners trusted the police and government. Joke’s on them.

What the Community Organizer and Chief really wants here are: Double and triple standards of justice for select minorities, the exoneration of criminals, the overthrow of the discernible truth, the outlawing of moral discernment, the apotheosis of victimhood, the manipulation of the ignorant masses, and the defeat of justice.

  • johninohio1

Wait until the members of the Grand Jury and everyone else connected to it are pilloried in the media and threatened by the IRS at Obama’s behest. You’ll have a hard time repeating truth telling in any subsequent cases like this.
I just hope the ‘good people’ of Ferguson head out to their neighborhood store in the morning and suddenly realize they made a big mistake.
