Illegal Voters Tipping Election Scales?

lkjVoting by illegal aliens and other non-citizens is so prevalent throughout the nation that it gave us Obamacare, according to a disturbing new study.

And if illegal voting by non-citizens, who tend to support Democratic Party candidates and who heavily supported President Obama, could tip the scales in the 2008 congressional elections, it can do so again in congressional elections next week and in the presidential contest in 2016. In 2008 one report estimated that as many as 2.7 million non-citizens were registered to vote nationwide.

The academic report, to be published in the December issue of Electoral Studies, continues the ongoing demolition of the Left’s narrative that voter fraud is a figment of paranoid Republicans’ imagination. Democrats cling religiously to their mantra that voter fraud doesn’t exist or is of little consequence because they have difficulty competing electorally without vote fraud. Fraud helps Democrats eke out victories in close races, which helps to explain their vehement opposition to commonsense electoral integrity measures like purging dead people from voter rolls or requiring photo ID for voting.

The findings of Jesse Richman and David Earnest, two political science professors at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va., confirm that voter fraud is commonplace and widespread, something that honest, as opposed to engaged or left-wing, scholars have known for years.

“In spite of substantial public controversy, very little reliable data exists concerning the frequency with which non-citizen immigrants participate in United States elections,” the authors write.

The academics got their data from the Cooperative Congressional Election Study (CCES) which contains what they term a “large number of observations (32,800 in 2008 and 55,400 in 2010) [that] provide sufficient samples of the non-immigrant sub-population, with 339 non-citizen respondents in 2008 and 489 in 2010.” Using CCES data from 2008, they tried “to match respondents to voter files so … [they] could verify whether they actually voted.”

Although non-citizen participation “is a violation of election laws in most parts of the United States, enforcement depends principally on disclosure of citizenship status at the time of voter registration,” they write. This new study “examines participation rates by non-citizens using a nationally representative sample that includes non-citizen immigrants,” a first in voting studies, they claim.

The authors found that non-citizens favor Democratic candidates over Republican candidates and that non-citizen voting probably changed 2008 outcomes including Electoral College votes and the partisan makeup of Congress.

“We find that some non-citizens participate in U.S. elections, and that this participation has been large enough to change meaningful election outcomes including Electoral College votes, and Congressional elections,” according to Richman and Earnest.

“Non-citizen votes likely gave Senate Democrats the pivotal 60th vote needed to overcome filibusters in order to pass health care reform and other Obama administration priorities in the 111th Congress,” the authors write.

In other words, non-citizen voters likely started America down the path to ruin by providing critical votes in Congress to promote President Obama’s catastrophic policy agenda.

Although “[m]ost non-citizens do not register, let alone vote … enough do that their participation can change the outcome of close races,” Richman and Earnest wrote in a recent oped in the Washington Post.

North of 14 percent of non-citizens in both the 2008 and 2010 samples reported being registered to vote. “Our best guess, based upon extrapolations from the portion of the sample with a verified vote, is that 6.4 percent of non-citizens voted in 2008 and 2.2 percent of non-citizens voted in 2010,” they write.

Non-citizens favored Democrats in 2008 and Obama won upward of 80 percent of the votes of non-citizens in the 2008 CCES sample. The authors write:

“[W]e find that this participation was large enough to plausibly account for Democratic victories in a few close elections … Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) won election in 2008 with a victory margin of 312 votes. Votes cast by just 0.65 percent of Minnesota non-citizens could account for this margin. It is also possible that non-citizen votes were responsible for Obama’s 2008 victory in North Carolina. Obama won the state by 14,177 votes, so a turnout by 5.1 percent of North Carolina’s adult non-citizens would have provided this victory margin.”

The authors’ paper is consistent with other credible reports of non-citizen voting. For example, Colorado Secretary of State Scott Gessler (R) unveiled a study in 2011 showing that almost 5,000 illegal aliens cast votes in the U.S. Senate election in that state in 2010.

Non-citizen voting, for better or worse, has been part of the American experience for a long time.

In the late 1700s and first half of the 1800s various states allowed non-citizens to vote. In some states individuals who intended to become U.S. citizens were allowed to vote but historically the alien suffrage movement has failed to get much of a foothold. By the mid and late 1800s states had largely outlawed voting by non-citizens. It has long been a crime for non-citizens to vote in national elections.

Non-citizens are allowed to vote in some elections in a handful of jurisdictions across the country. For example, Takoma Park, Md., a Washington, D.C. suburb burdened with an aging hippy population, has allowed non-citizens –including illegal aliens– to vote in local elections since 1992. But similar enclaves of Sixties radicals permitting non-citizen voting tend to have small populations and are few and far between.

Some left-wingers say that election fraud is justifiable because in a sense it compensates the poor for having little political power. Radical activists laid the foundation for illegal voting by non-citizens at the beginning of Bill Clinton’s presidency.

Marxist academics and activists Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven were the architects of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 which opened the door to an explosion of voter fraud across America. The NVRA, also called the Motor-Voter law, forces states to register to vote anyone applying to renew a driver’s license or obtain welfare or unemployment compensation benefits. State employees are now forbidden by law from asking would-be registrants for proof of U.S. citizenship.

The NVRA also compelled states to allow mail-in voter registration, which made it easy for left-wing activists to enter false names on the voter rolls without any kind of contact with a government official. States were also under orders not to purge important Democratic constituencies such as the dead and criminals from voter rolls for a minimum of eight years.

It is unclear how much fraud takes place as a result of mail-in voting. Such fraud, which takes place during the registration stage and the voting stage, has barely been examined by scholars.

But the Motor-Voter law, notes journalist John Fund, has “fueled an explosion of phantom voters.”

And that’s exactly what it was intended to do.

Obama used massive vote fraud to steal the democratic nomination from Hillary in 2008, so you can be sure that Hillary will feel totally justified in using massive election fraud to make sure that nobody can take away once again, what, after all, is legitimately hers to begin with. (At least that’s the way she sees it.)

The type of vote fraud that gets publicized is only the tip of the iceberg… In 2012, entire ballot boxes from heavily conservative districts, simply disappeared on the way to the central counting facilities…

In Dan Greenfield’s excellent article here from 10/21, he shows a hispanic make from a progressive organization stuffing a local ballot box with hundreds of early ballots from people who are probably ineligible to vote to to lack of citizenship, or the fact that they’re dead, if they ever lived at all.

We’ve already seen voting machines tested that convert any votes filed for GOP candidates, automatically convert those votes for democratic candidates.

With the exception of some wacko precincts in New Your, and California, where they don’t need to cheat to win, I think we’ll see Hillary pull out all the stops in 2016 with organized vote fraud. After all, in 2020 or 2024 she might be too old to enjoy it any more… That’s of course only true if we still have a country in which people can vote by that time.

So Hilary will be re-enacting LBJ’s wait your turn protocol.

Motor voter and other remote/mail-in registration enables fraudulent registration using laughable forms on identification — coupled with absentee voting, the “voter” need never even make a corporeal presence known as he or she registers and votes.

So while poll-watching is important, it is not where most voter fraud is likely occurring and most likely where none of the systematic, large-scale voter fraud is occurring. And we need to talk more openly about that, because many, many people and groups are invested in believing otherwise.

If we do not tackle remote registration and mail-in voting, we may as well stop trying at all, frankly.

    • dwayne roberson

I think at this point ink on the finger is the only way.

  • Pete

If a significant # of illegals vote and they are not surveyed by pollsters, the polls could be wrong. Election day will be a shock.

It does not mean that we are stupid. It means that a cabal of politicians is evil.

Republicans will be praising God for The Honorable Trey Gowdy when he ends the political career of Hillary Bimbo Czar Clinton during the upcoming BENGHAZI hearings. Hold onto your seats as Gowdy airs all of the Bimbo Czar’s dirty laundry.

One can only hope the Hon Rep Gowdy succeeds in this noble task!

Plan for White geNOcide that “anti-racists” implement:

        1) Flood EVERY & ONLY White countries with MILLIONS of non-Whites

        2) Force integrate these immigrants into White communities. This is done with the aid of Federal Laws

        3) Push interracial relationships night and day in the media & newspaper

        advertisements, in ONLY White countries

        4) Anyone that objects is called the r-word!

        5) Then, inform the Whites of their inevitable brown future

        Anti-Racist is a code for anti-White

If “voting by illegal aliens and other non-citizens is so prevalent throughout the nation” then we should surely have seen a voluminous number of prosecutions involving the thousands of ballot boxes in the outcome-determining states following the 2012 presidential election.

In November 2012, there were Republican Attorneys General in most of the battleground states that determined the outcome of the 2012 presidential election:

    ● Florida—29 electoral votes,
    ● Ohio—18 electoral votes,
    ● Virginia—13 electoral votes,
    ● Wisconsin—10 electoral votes,
    ● Colorado—9 electoral votes,
    ● Pennsylvania—20 electoral votes, and
    ● Michigan—16 electoral votes.

These seven battleground states with Republican Attorneys General together possessed 115 electoral Votes. President Obama won each of these battleground states by low-single-digit margins. In 2012, President Obama received only 64 more than the 270 electoral votes required for election.

There were not prosecutions involving the thousands of ballot boxes in these seven outcome-determining states in the 2012 presidential election.

Were these seven Republican Attorneys General derelict in fulfilling their legal duty to prosecute crime in their own states?

Are these seven Republican Attorneys General also guilty of not promoting the interests of their own political party in attempting to prosecute cases of election fraud that would, at the minimum, embarrass (if not convict) members of the Democratic Party and embarrass the sitting Democratic President?

If this article’s claims are taken to be valid; and, there is not much if any reasonable logic to refute them, then, actually, this marginalizes all (legal) Americans inherent rights under the Constitution to be essential participants in their republic.

Yeah, yeah, blah, blah all the technical legal, patriotic mumbo jumbo spewed out every election by some whiney, pissed off nobody, right? O.k. then; so be it, the status quo. I guess we let Obama’s election fraud implementation ploys from his Chicago days, his two presidential elections, the mid term elections too with Eric Holder’s obstructions allows the status quo. “Stupid republicans can’t stop our schemes.”

Fourteen years since the 2000 election fiasco and nothing has changed. I’m with True the Vote’s attempts to stop the travesty. The choice is a people’s republic or tyranny. The IRS targeting True the Vote is uh, tyranny.

The vote is a sacred right, paid for in blood and treasure…It is the only peaceable means for citizens to remove, replace, support or deny elected politicians and proposed propositions…We have had over 200 years to get it right, and still it is manipulated through false arguments, political correctness, corruption, and organized bribery (Acorn)…It’s hard to believe that with all this new technology we are unable to develop a voting strategy that allows for all qualified voters to have the opportunity to cast their vote safely, securely, and accurately…
We have a government that fails in its duty of oversight, where government agencies run roughshod over our Constitution, imposing ideology through social engineering, selective advocating, and presidential fiat (IRS, HEW, EPA)…
Without the assurance that our system of voting is corruption free, and this is truly a moral corruption, what choice are we being left with..? I never in my lifetime imagined that I would be faced with such a choice.

Illegals committing voter fraud, should face a minimum of ten years behind bars, followed by instant deportation for them and all their relatives!

  • Andy_Texan

Democrats cannot be trusted to organize a precinct or to count votes. Republican precincts don’t even need a judge or poll watcher to be present. Vote by mail, absentee voting, early voting, computer (virtual) voting machines, motor voter registration, same day registration and lack of identification have made voting redundant. The party of government will generally win elections today by one way or another. So vote conscientiously if it makes you feel virtuous but don’t be surprised by the result. Voting is not going to solve any problems.

    • johninohio1

You’re right Andy. I came to this conclusion when Obama got re-elected. It doesn’t matter whether the wrong people are being elected through the ignorance, stupidity or cupidity of the American people, or through voting fraud. Voting can’t solve that problem. And that is the only ‘power’ that patriots have at present. Eventually, when things get bad enough, patriots will bypass elections and resort to more effective means. Unfortunately, that’s when the totalitarians will take off the gloves and the masks.

  • dwayne roberson

The number of Philly area precincts that did not report a single Romney vote was a mathematic impossibility. Holders boys with nightsticks.

establish a separate voting line for non-citizens,that leads into a separate room, where they are cuffed and carted off to jail. sort of a honey trap or sting.

Or,post a large sign at the entrance saying that non-citizens caught trying to vote will be deported.

Or,have a couple of men wearing ICE ball caps and holding 2-way radios stand or walk around outside each polling place. Illegals will flee at the sight of ICE.
