Michael Brown Funeral: Cop-Lynching Pep Rally

f_sharpton_funeral_140825An Al Sharpton-led memorial service yesterday for Michael Brown, the black 18-year-old thug who gave a white Ferguson, Mo. police officer a severe head injury while trying to seize his handgun, became the grotesque political rally some observers feared it would be.

The distinctly anti-police tone of the service was proof that the lie that Brown tried to surrender to white police officer Darren Wilson, rather than trying to beat the life out of him, won’t die. The racial-grievance industry, egged on by President Obama, won’t let it go.

The Left’s narrative that the nearly 300-lbs. Brown, who had just robbed a convenience store on Aug. 9 mere minutes before encountering decorated policeman Wilson, is under withering evidentiary assault every day. As federal officials scour the riot-torn St. Louis suburb in a desperate search for material to justify federal civil rights charges, Sharpton is pressing on with his campaign to foment race-based hatred.

The funeral sets the stage for the mob-led lynching of Officer Wilson, an outcome eagerly sought by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and Missouri’s governor, Jay Nixon (D). Nixon has been covering his left flank in recent days, terrified because activists noticed that he seemed to support law and order and oppose mobocracy, rioting, and looting in the early hours of the crisis that followed Brown’s death. But after criticism from the Left, Nixon, like the Democratic members of the local congressional delegation, wants Wilson indicted, evidence or not.

Brown was remembered at a star-studded Baptist church funeral choreographed by racial grievance profiteer Sharpton. From Hollywood, movie director Spike Lee and actor Wesley Snipes attended the service, along with purported civil rights leader Martin Luther King III, U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.), and U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), a left-wing extremist who believes urban riots constitute legitimate political activism. Lee is on record praying that Ferguson would explode in racial violence. Also in attendance were three officials from the Obama White House — a greater number of representatives than Obama sent to the recent funeral for a murdered brigadier general, the highest-ranking U.S. officer to be killed in a war in decades.

But despite growing evidence suggesting Brown wasn’t such a good kid, Sharpton  pontificated that the decedent was a gentle giant who only wanted the best for his fellow human beings.

“Michael Brown does not want to be remembered for a riot. He wants to be remembered as the one that made American[s] deal with how we gonna police in the United States,” Sharpton thundered before a crowd estimated at 4,500, in a eulogy that was more like a spirited pep talk before the Left’s planned lynching of Officer Wilson.

Given that the decedent’s rap music recordings focused on the joys of illicit drug use, criminal violence including rape, and “hos” it is hard to imagine Brown gave much thought to law enforcement best practices.

Sharpton howled that Brown’s body laid out in the street for a whole 90 minutes before a police detective arrived to begin an investigation into the shooting, as if it had been an intentional insult to Brown on the part of racist police:

And when I saw Michael lying there, I thought about how many of us were just considered nothing. How we were just so marginalized and ignored. Whatever the circumstance an investigation leads to, to have that boy lying there, like nobody cared about him. Like he didn’t have any loved ones, like his life value didn’t matter … I told his grandfather, I don’t care what happened, but whatever we can do I’ll be there to do it.

And if the corpse had been scooped up from the ground right away Sharpton and his ilk would now be screaming that the evidence hadn’t been properly preserved by bungling Keystone Kops who didn’t care if a dead black man got justice.

Sharpton also showed his paranoid side, ranting that people were coming after African-Americans because of their “blackness”:

So that they are justifying trying to come at us because some of us act like the definition of blackness is how low you can go. Blackness has never been about being a gangster or thug. Blackness was no matter how low we was pushed down, we rose up anyhow. Blackness was never surrendering our pursuit of excellence. It was when it was against the law to go to some schools, we built black colleges and learned anyhow.

At one point in the address, Sharpton shouted:

America, it’s time to deal with policing! We are not the haters, we’re the healers!

What does it require of us? We can’t have a fit; we’ve got to have a movement. A fit you get mad and run out for a couple of nights. A movement means we’ve got to be here for the long haul, and turn our chants into change, our demonstration into legislation, we have got to stay on this so we can stop this.

After Brown died violence erupted in Ferguson, Sharpton said, pretending not to approve of said violence. With no obvious oratorical segue, Sharpton screamed:

This is not about you! This is about justice! This is about fairness! And America is going to have to come to terms when there’s something wrong that we have money to give military equipment to police forces, but we don’t have money for training, and money for public education, and money to train our children!

Which is what it is all about for Sharpton: the money.

Shakedowns are the name of the game for Sharpton and his group, National Action Network, whose motto is the cry of the rioter, “No justice, no peace.”

Every time a black person dies tragically, especially when it happens in a newsworthy way, Sharpton sees dollar signs — and his business partner, Barack Obama, sees votes.

“Reverend” Al has impeccable qualifications to speak about issues such as “justice and fairness” :
1.)Incited a man to start a fire at Freddy’s Fashion Mart in Harlem( 8 people were killed)
    2.)Known anti-Semite
3.) Known to make racially disparaging remarks against whites
4.) Was a drug dealer( but turned on the mob and became an FBI informant)
5.) Owes more than 3 million dollars in taxes
6.) Perpetuated a race-filled hoax in the high-profile case of Tawana Brawley
7.) Can’t read a teleprompter to save his life.
    8.) Works for MSNBC
With qualifications like these, I’m surprised he doesn’t have a cabinet-level position in the Obama administration.

    • bigjulie

Think of his $3 mil owed tax bill as a “retainer” by the President Pantywaist Administration. He has owed this for years but IRS never bothers to “collect” because it is a great way to keep Sharpton “hooked”.
He gets away with what he does because MSM needs his services, too!
They need race riot stories to sell advertising and “Reverend Al” delivers, as ordered!
Difficult to believe that my once-great Country has descended into such a slimepit of attempted media manipulation as we are currently witnessing. Even more amazing is how media in general has not the least hint of being bothered by their complete absence of even a hint of the scruples that used to guide them.

      • truebearing

The racist Left has to maintain the threat of black violence. It is there equivalent to the “brownshirts.” The more irrational and insane they sound, the better the Left likes it. It intimidates whites, and whites are the ones still defending the nation and constitution the Left working feverishly to overthrow. Demonize and intimidate whites and you silence opposition.

The media will only begin to object when they are being replaced by black racists.

Whites had better fight this attempt by the Left to hijack the justice system and take control of the police like they did the media, or we will be literally getting lynched with no hope of protection or recourse, other than a racial civil war.

        • bigjulie

I fear that violent confrontation is inevitable. The “brownshirts” have won so much by being irrational that it becomes more doubtful by the day that attempting to bargain with them is useless! They have confronted rational people with an “all or nothing” choice and the time has come to deal them NOTHING!

      • MLCBLOG

I love to think that out once great country still has greatness in its blood and will shows itself great again.

        • bigjulie

It has lots of greatness in it but I am afraid it is going to take some major violence to eliminate the gross unreason of the Left. The Left has become the American version of radical Islam, and it appears more and more likely by the day that they will ultimately have to be dealt with in the same manner. One simply cannot deal rationally with those who have no rationality and it is a waste of time to try. The only known cure is death.

  • DaCoachK

Al Sharpton cares so much for his people that he became a loan shark, doing commercials for one of the title loan places. This person should have been isolated with the Tawana Brawley hoax. Any conservative would have had no credibility if he did such a things. Left-Wing-Kooks, though, let people like Al run for president and host talk shows. Tells you every thing you need to know about these despicable people on the Left.

  • John Davidson

As with most radical thinkers they always got way beyond rationality to express themselves. Outsiders like Sharpton leave a mess in their wake that others are suppose to clean up.

  • Andy_Lewis

At long last, Matthew, have you no decency?

  • Harry Black

As so often with FP Magazine stories, this one begins with a lie: there is no evidence whatsoever that Michael Brown dealt officer Wilson “a severe head injury.” This story was made up out of whole cloth and spread like wildfire on the web among those racists who, like Matthew Vadum, want to believe that the police lynching of Michael Brown was somehow justified. But there is no way Wilson could have sustained that sort of injury and shot anyone. See http://aattp.org/officers-injuries-faked-by-lying-right-wing-blog-to-smear-michael-brown

    • John Crawford

There are thousands of examples of people fighting on despite injuries that might otherwise incapacitate them. Given the adrenaline that begins pumping, hard, throughout the body in such a fight, men and women have been known to continue to fight despite severe head wounds, murderous heart trauma, severed limbs, etc. Naturally, fewer and fewer people know this, as those serving during war time become less popular with the public. There is one particular example from the fighting in Iraq, where a young Marine Sergeant didn’t even know he’d been wounded until someone pointed out that he had a 2 inch tree limb protruding from the back of his shoulder! Until being alerted, he just thought he was worn out from the fighting, in which he’d lead his squad!

    • CapitalistPig

The NYTimes reported its police sources have stated that Wilson sustained injuries in an attack. The fact that it hasn’t been made public doesn’t mean it didn’t happen—note, you cannot find a source close to the case that definitively reports that Wilson NOT injured either…….we simply do not know.
I know this is a toughie, but Wilson gets the presumption of innocence, Constitutional protections & a Civil Rights Act that applies to him too.

      • Harry Black

Sure, presumption of innocence. But the basic fact remains that an unarmed teenager was shot down in cold blood. And not shot once but at least six times. And it’s been shown that the supposed head injury was a rightwing hoax (but you guys go for that stuff).

        • obamediawatcher

Do realize how many people a year are killed by “unarmed” attackers?

          • Harry Black

Beside the point here. Wilson had a gun and he shot it perhaps as many as 10 times. For whatever reason, he wanted to kill Brown. I’m tired of conservatives whining and making excuses for what was a cold blooded killing.

          • obamediawatcher

And we are tired of Marxists like youi being Judge, Jury and Lynch mob. If you touch a cop you should expect to go to jail or worse. In this case he got worse. You charge a cop and you get killed, simple deal.
Next time your getting mugged, call Al or Jesse.

          • Harry Black

Nice. Obamediawatcher condemns what he (I presume you’re a he) does all the time as do most people who watch/read the news, although in this case Obamediawatcher is in the business of blaming the victim. No surprise on FP, where anti-black sentiment (racism anyone?) and racial stereotyping run rampant.

          • obamediawatcher

Yawn, race card is all you got? Sure I’m a racist, just not as big a one as you or Al or Obama. I lost my White Guilt $30 trillion and 40 million abortions ago so try that line on someone else blackie.

          • Harry Black

Right! The old “you’re another!” That seems to be right’s modus operandi: “we don’t have a race problem in the US, not after the Civil Rights Movement, and anyone who says different is a ‘racist.’” George Orwell would have savored this sort of Orwellian logic.

      • frodo

By the same token, it doesn’t mean that it did either. Absent any not-faked information about any injuries and given that the only sources for information about his alleged injuries are from the police and from some unidentified phone caller, it’s hard not to be suspicious.

        • CapitalistPig

But the point remains—officer Wilson has constitutional rights too.
There is no excuse for these riots—& the left knows that. So stop making excuses & egging these folks on.

          • frodo

Who’s making excuses? The unrest has settled down. Sure, Wilson has rights, I’m not denying that by any stretch of the imagination.

The point is that there’s nothing to support the version of the story retailed by the police and anonymous phone callers and the longer things go, the less likely anything coming from them will be credible.

  • notme123

I’d like to know more about Michael Brown’s life, mother’s occupation, father’s occupation, where did he live…etc I read he was staying with his grandmother, but that was it. And why did WH officials attend, no one attended the General killed in Afganastan funeral.

There is plenty of evidence that he fought the cop and it will come out. The black leadership should be making Michael an example of how not to act and behave.

    • William

Seems all that ‘evidence’ of the cop being attacked comes from anonymous callers into right winged talk radio, fake facebook pages and neo-nazi websites.

How soon we forget about the Duke lacrosse, Tawana Brawley, Trayvon Martin & Freddie’s Fashoin Mart cases when they don’t fit the “narrative”.

        • William

According to right winged propaganda, the victim fractured the guy’s skull. I guess it’s up to a jury to decide, based on the evidence.

Hey, you don’t have the monopoly of wrong reports, prejudice against whites, fake news, bent statistics and general propaganda. In fact it is the hallmark of the left. True, your lies are for mankind “good” and therefore they are almost as good as the truth. Gee, I learned how to spot these jerks while listening to Pravda.

          • William

I am what you might call a leftist, and I have nothing against whites as I am one of them. To us, race is irrelevant. As a great leftist leader once said, “Judge not a man by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character”.

          • obamediawatcher

Actually that leftist leader was a Republican and would never become a Democrat/Marxist.

          • William

Nope. He was apolitical, although he did pal around with Marxists and opposed Vietnam. He preached what’s called ‘Christian socialism’, social and economic justice.

          • MarilynA

“Social and economic Justice” are code words for Communism. Was there when the leaders of this fiasco came up with it. That’s not the only subterfuge they thought up. Most of the leaders have advanced degrees in Psychology and are adept at manipulating public opinion.

          • CapitalistPig

Unfortunately, 99.9% of leftists don’t think “race is irrelevant”………..as a matter of fact, they can’t stop bringing it up along with gender & sexual preference.
If you REALLY believe that (you must be a young naive leftist–you’ll get over it) you won’t be within a 1000 light years of that ideology for long.
The country made a terrible mistake in legally defining blacks as 3/5s human (I know, the history is more complicated than that)—-now the left is telling me gays are 7/5s.
I never knew they had so many “rights”.

          • John Crawford

Blacks were never so “defined”. Read the Constitution.
            Semper fi

          • CapitalistPig

In the most technical sense–no. “Free persons” were counted whole as opposed to slaves, which were counted as 3/5s. But the slaves were black & it was clearly aimed at them for apportionment.
But the point is still valid. It matters that we’re counted whole–& equally. I’m not aware that you get “rights” because of who you exchange bodily fluids with any more than you should be denied a fair apportionment of representation because of your skin color.
The actual history is even more complicated–it was the northern states that DIDN’T want blacks to be counted because they couldn’t vote & thus, southern white voters would get huge advantages in representation–lots of population so you get “super-representation” in Congress with far fewer voters picking them.
The south argues you can’t let them vote, they’re property–so the north says if you’re going to count property for apportionment we’ll just include cattle, chickens, pigs–you see where they were going?
You can’t have it both ways–count them for apportionment–but then not let them vote.
So it ended in the “3/5s Compromise”–or there would be no union with the southern states.
And slaves in all likelihood would have been far worse off in a single sovereign Confederacy of slave states.

          • John Crawford

Your final two sentences said it all. While most of our Founders were anti-slavery, they knew they couldn’t get ratification if they outlawed in plain language. So, they crafted it in such a fashion that when slavery was finally outlawed, all would be counted. Not all slaves were black, as you are undoubtedly aware. And there were black slave-owners in the South, as well. So, we got a Constitution. And it was crafted in such a fashion that it could be altered/amended, albeit with difficulty (for which we should be grateful!).
            Semper fi

          • MarilynA

Did you know that Georgia refused to ratify the Constitution unless the importation of new slaves was abolished. the Yankees protested because the slave trade was a big money maker for them, so a compromise was reached and it was abolished in 1820. It was not until it was abolished that the Yankees suddenly became anti slavery. Learned that by reading old records while doing genealogy research. The records don’t lie. But revisionists lie all the time to back up their positions.

          • trickyblain

National records tell us that the Slave Trade was abolished, by law, in January 1808. And you have it backwards, the Framers feared that if the Constitution outlawed the Slave Trade, South Carolina and Georgia would refuse to join the union.

“It seems now to be pretty well understood that the real difference of interests lies not between the large and small but between the northern and southern states. The institution of slavery and its consequences form the line of discrimination.”

            - James Madison

Perhaps you will grace us with the names of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence who were slave owners? You’ll provide a few, naturally. But if you bother to look it up, you’ll find that most of our Founders were anti-slavery.

Then, perhaps you’ll tell me where you stand on government infringing on my Rights to my property, by taking it to give to others who don’t produce their own, under their responsibilities!

I cant’ disagree there. They still took the right side on civil rights issues.

          • MarilynA

You have got to be deluding yourself. It was the republicans who passed the Civil Rights act and the Democrats fought it tooth and nail. Sen. AlGore Sr. was one of the worst anti civil rights activists. Yet his lying son tried to paint him as one of it’s biggest supporters. That is just one example of how the democrats deceive people by telling outright lies. You, sir, are a revisionist of the worst kind.

          • trickyblain

Actually, the South fought it tooth-and-nail. Not a single Southern Republican voted for it. The voting record does not support your contention.

            The original House version:

            Southern Democrats: 7–87 (7–93%)
            Southern Republicans: 0–10 (0–100%)
            Northern Democrats: 145–9 (94–6%)
            Northern Republicans: 138–24 (85–15%)

            The Senate version:

Southern Democrats: 1–20 (5–95%) (only Ralph Yarborough of Texas voted in favor)
Southern Republicans: 0–1 (0–100%) (John Tower of Texas)
Northern Democrats: 45–1 (98–2%) (only Robert Byrd of West Virginia voted against)
            Northern Republicans: 27–5 (84–16%)

          • *Sharpshooter

“It should come as no surprise that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a
Republican. In that era, almost all black Americans were Republicans.
Why? From its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party until today,
the Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks.
And as one pundit so succinctly stated, the Democrat Party is as it
always has been, the party of the four S’s: slavery, secession,
            segregation and now socialism.”

          • frankstclair

No, to you race is used as a tool for power. And the left dumped MLK’s philosophy years ago. I am willing to admit, you may just be one of Lenin’s “Useful Idiots,” and not know any better.

          • William

I don’t even accept the current classifications of people by race. The human genome project has debunked the old ideas of race and shown them to be artificial, culturally-defined classifications. and fyi King is and will always be a hero to the American Left. We need someone like him now more than ever before.

          • MarilynA

My mother said she figured out where black people came form when she was a little girl. Her theory. After Cain slew Abel he was cast out of the Garden of eden and went down into he land of Nod. Since there were no people there he mated with apes.

When you read MLK, his words are indistinguishable from Rush Limbaugh—hardly an “American Left Hero”..

          • William

Rush Limbaugh, civil rights crusader and antiwar activist?

In reality, King was what Rush would call a ‘radical leftist’.

          • CapitalistPig

Are we “pro war”?………..or “Peace Through Strength”? No one is “pro war”, not MLK, conservatives or Rush Limbaugh…..sorry.
Individual rights ARE Civil Rights. MLK was trying to erase legal distinctions by skin color—so are conservatives. It’s the left keeping racism alive.
MLK advocated self help, self reliance & encouraged black entrepreneurship–so do conservatives—& Rush Limbaugh.
I’ve read MLK—I’ve listened to Rush Limbaugh. I can’t tell the difference.
It isn’t Limbaugh’s fault Democrats & left wing pro-lydytes raped & bastardized those ideals.

          • William

The Left got over racism back in the Progressive Era in the first half of the last century. You must not know much about Dr.King. He was what conservatives call an ‘antiwar radical’, and many still believe he was a Communist. He was the Reverend Jeremiah Wright of his time except far more radical and influential.

          • CapitalistPig

Never did hear the one where MLK said G******m America or speak of getting overrun by Nazi’s or Communists in the glowing reverential terms the “Rev” J Wright used in justifying the attacks by Muslim extremists on 9/11—you’ll just have to show me that one.
Lecturing the US on not living up to the ideals contained in the Declaration of Independence & the Constitution isn’t the same as questioning the ideals themselves. But if you would like run King down & associate him with Wright that’s your business. I happened to be alive at the time & voting–the idea of the Civil Rights law was to create a colorblind society—–far from “getting over racism”—the left seems to have embraced it with open arms.

No it has not. You are ignorant, lying, malevolent, or all three. Since I think you’re a PR troll for the DNC, “all three” is my guess.

Population genetics and genomics have demonstrated conclusively that “race” is biological. It refers to clusters of biological traits in populations that coalesced there due to breeding within geographical isolation over long periods of time.

Culture is created by genetics. Populations that are shifted toward the stupid or violent end of the spectrum create cultures that reflect that. Populations that are shifted toward intelligence and cooperation create cultures that reflect that.

You can’t plop down a million people with IQs of under 80 and no capacity for forward thought or self control into an intelligent culture and expect them to be anything other than stupid and violent.

Race is real. It’s why I have sickle cell trait and you don’t, why I can’t stand winter and maybe you can, why you have to worry about malaria and I don’t, why I have to worry about HIV and you don’t, and why I got through university on a track scholarship while you probably smoked dope and your mommy paid your way.

Correct, however that story came from a white supremacist website known for posting fake stories, and a fake face book page that had an anonymous posting by a ‘friend’ of the cop who turned out not to be real.

It isn’t a white supremacist website. It is merely conservative. Don’t take your lead from the Left, but do your own research. As for being wrong, so what?! I haven’t looked at the site until today. Perhaps you can point to the fake stories, today, that demonize black people? Or even, perhaps, to the “white power” stories?

So far, NOTHING has been released by the hospital that treated Wilson, concerning his eye. So, that little tidbit by LGF is false. Does that make them a fabricator of stories??
I read in LGF of their claims that GP has ties to such groups. Where is their proof? Without such, it is merely a claim? And competing sites make a lot of claims about their competition!

          • William

You have a point about competition, but if you look at the history of those two sites and the ties GP has to groups like Council of Conservative Citizens it sure looks like GP has a clear agenda of promoting hatred towards minorities.

          • John Crawford

I went to their site. I see no evidence of promoting “hatred towards minorities”. All I see is reporting. Perhaps you could direct me?

            In your eyes. Got it.

          • John Crawford

Nonsense. The headlines are absolutely no different from those of any other site. They are geared to attract readers, and are not racist, nor do they indicate a bent to white supremacism. The readers are on their own! Just as you can find racists on any site. Read Kos!
            Semper fi

          • William

No, you will not see the same rhetoric on Kos, not that I have been there lately. Those people are fairly liberal and do not think of blacks as ‘welfare leeches’, ‘savages’ or ‘takers’.

          • John Crawford

Read their articles vilifying people such as Ben Carson. It is a racist site, in every respect, or the Council ALSO is not! It goes both ways!
            Semper fi

          • William

Uh, the issue with Carson is not that he’s black, it’s his views on a few issues. I have seen articles at Kos slamming Obama for his war policies and never saw mention of the fact he’s black. If you were to believe the nonsense posted in GP, you would think there’s a secret conspiracy among blacks to get whitey.

          • John Crawford

No, according to the Left, Carson, and others such as Clarence Thomas, are race-traitors. That is pure racism!
As for a “secret conspiracy”? I wouldn’t call it a secret that people such as Malik Shabazz and Louis Farrakhan are out to “get” whitey! You can listen to Al Sharpton and come to the same conclusion. As for “blacks”? Of course not! Just as the vast majority of whites aren’t out “get” blacks, blacks aren’t out to “get” whitey as a bloc!
            Semper fi

          • William

You mean Uncle Toms. That term is used to demean conservative blacks because of the political views they hold. It’s not a put-down of someone because of the color of their skin. We call white conservatives even worse things.

          • John Crawford

It is a racist term, and is used by whites as well! You’ll find it on Kos. Blacks can be equally racist, and your agreement with it is proof that the GP site is not racist!
            Semper fi

          • William

Criticizing someone for holding distasteful political views is not racism. It’s not like the N-word when used by white liberals. And when blacks use the term it’s to put someone down for their political views, not because they are black.

          • John Crawford

The term “uncle Tom” has long been held to be a racist term. Just because blacks may use it in no way negates it’s message of hatred and bigotry!

            Semper fi

          • frodo

You’re persistently missing the point. There’s nothing concrete to support that Brown assaulted Wilson beyond rumor and innuendo. That’s not evidence–and the only “evidence” produced so far (admittedly by some random person) is faked. Eyewitness accounts don’t support an assault story and a phone call from the ex-wife’s best friend signifies less than nothing.

          • John Crawford

I’ve missed no points! I have NOT insisted that Wilson was attacked. I have ONLY said that if evidence shows otherwise, then Wilson may have been justified in his actions. The investigation will do it’s work, and because of the political nonsense, and hatred, it will take longer to do so. Wilson was immediately looked at by authorities, both legal and medical. Any injuries will be taken into account, and must be. Neither I, nor you, know the facts, because as usual the media has muddied the waters as much as it could!

If there is an injury, attributable to action on Brown’s part, it would indeed provide some justification for his shooting.

          • truebearing

Bullshit. There is a video taken by a witness that says Brown struggled with Wilson in the police car. Case closed. He was assaulting an officer and desrved to get shot…all six times.

          • frodo

Where? I’ve seen nothing that suggests that Mike Brown was assaulting Wilson–nothing confirmed, and there’s still nothing from a hospital in support of the claims being made.

          • MarilynA

There was a report that Wilson was treated at a hospital for his injuries. It was not revealed if he was admitted or not. But he did need medical treatment for his injuries. The fact that he has not been seen since the incidence indicates he may have been seriously injured.

          • frodo

We don’t know anything about this for sure. That’s the problem. We know that Michael Brown was killed. We’ve *heard* that there were injuries to Wilson, but NOTHING supporting that claim beyond obviously faked scans.

That he hasn’t appeared means nothing in reference to any injuries. He could just as easily be playing the “I’m in fear for my life” card.

          • Wolfthatknowsall

I had the orbital of my left eye practically destroyed when a 152mm howitzer shell (a Soviet-made weapon with 80 lbs of high explosive) struck just ten feet away from me, in Vietnam (1969). It killed my spotter and best friend.

To this day, I have occasional pain behind the left eye. It takes a lot of force to break an orbital bone. If Officer Wilson’s orbital was broken, he was hit with tremendous force, which makes sense considering that the assault was made by an 18-year old man who was 6’4″, and weighed almost 300 pounds.

If this happened in the course of a struggle over Wilson’s weapon, I don’t blame him for shooting his attacker. Note that police academies regularly teach candidates to keep shooting until the offender is “down”. This is due to the low hitting power of 9mm – .40-cal automatic weapon cartridges, in use by police forces, nationwide.

          • CapitalistPig

“Shoot until you are no longer threatened”.
And on a witness stand you state “I shot until I felt I was no longer threatened”.
Then no lawyer for the Baby Seal thug client can accuse you having time to flee because you had time to carefully aim & just “wing” him etc etc etc

          • CapitalistPig

Well, the left wing “:jury” has already decided the case. That’s the problem.
I don’t know what happened–don’t claim to. I just think that Officer Wilson get the presumption of innocence until the facts & evidence are presented & if you don’t have those facts & evidence to convince a jury then you’re free to go–just like George Zimmerman–just like the Duke lacrosse players etc etc.
If that’s “right wing propaganda”—–then I guess I’m spreading it.

          • http://www.stubbornthings.org NAHALKIDES

When the hospital x-rays are introduced as evidence, plainly showing the fracture, with expert medical testimony to back it up, will you still be calling it “right-winged propaganda”? I guess we know the answer – you lefties can’t handle the truth.

But before we even reach the jury phase, you’re forgetting something – there has to be a reason for a trial to take place, i.e., we need to see probable cause for charges to be filed. So far, there isn’t any.

          • William

There is no Xray showing a skull fracture. That was a hoax perpetrated by a white supremacist website which quickly spread into the main stream media.

          • John Crawford

There doesn’t seem to be any hospital report on Officer Wilson, as some have claimed. But regardless whether his orbital was fractured, if he sustained injuries consistent with a fight, pointing to an attack by Brown, that would be sufficient, at least initially, to justify deadly force used against him. This, particularly with respect to the disparity in physical size of the two individuals! Bones need not be broken for a person to fear for his/her life!
            Semper fi

          • William

There is no reason to shoot an unarmed man who is standing with his hands up. Now it appears that more than 10 shots were fired.

          • John Crawford

I would agree that there is not likely to be any good reason to shoot an unarmed man who has surrendered. Now, once we find that to be the case, through investigation, we can move forward. So far, there doesn’t seem to be such evidence. As for the number of shots fired, it is far more common for a threatened individual to fire more shots than needed, from the rush of adrenaline and pure panic. The number of shots fired is less important than the officer’s mindset at the moment of firing, which is why the courts have held that such mindset is more important! In a shooting last year, in Afghanistan (a war zone), a friend of mine walked into a “blue-on-green” shooting. He shot the Afghan 3 times, but says he thought he only fired once. Only the post-shooting investigation showed 3 wounds in the Afghan.

I agree that nobody should rush to judgement until the facts are in, but with the witnesses and autopsy reports it’s not looking good for the cop.

          • John Crawford

The autopsy report is merely a factual representation of the cause of death. Display of wounds, along with guesswork as to how they happened, is immaterial at the moment. Only when combined by presentation to the Grand Jury will we have any clearer understanding. And ONLY a jury, if it goes to court, will decide, regardless what we may believe.

It’s also possible that there were warning shots or he missed due to either Brown’s movement or Wilson’s physical state after Brown’s initial assault in the squad car.

          • John Crawford

Absolutely. However, police training is to NOT fire warning shots, as those bullets must come down somewhere and officers are legally responsible for every round fired from their firearm. Shots fired after injury or because of assailant movement are different, but cities spend a lot of money every year settling lawsuits for missed shots.

Man, you are swallowing it. Baden who was PAID BY BROWN”S FAMILY said all the shots came from the front. As far as the CNN crap put out today, that’s an unverified audiotape.

          • Recon5

Of course there’s a hospital report. There’s also witness testimony and a police report and an investigation that will examine the evidence and a Grand Jury convened some two to three months earlier than the norm.

It all exists, and none of the information will be released until it’s over as per usual. SOP, not physical absence.

          • John Crawford

Where then is the hospital report. I googled the subject, and nothing has come up. That was my point! Others are insisting that such report has been released!

Plenty of propaganda to go around. Brown’s family lawyer, Crump I think his name is, claimed at the funeral that Brown was shot six times in the back. The pathologist HE PAID FOR says he was shot from the front.

          • William

It also appears that there was 11 shots, not 8 or 9.

            Time will tell.

If he is recovering from a fractured skull it’s a good enough reason why we haven’t seen or heard from him.

We know how this works … the “no justice, no peace” mantra.

If local or state officials do not bring charges against Officer Wilson, then the Feds will. One way or another, this police officer is going to be imprisoned, or else black America will erupt in violence and rioting.

Obama would go for it, if this were after the Fall elections. He can’t afford it, just now …

  • ratonis

This is a very dishonest article. Yes, Sharpton did all the usual stuff, but he had some things to say about the need for black communities to clean up their own act. Why leave that out? I’m no Sharpton supporter, but you can at least be honest. Seems his words p$$d off many folks there according to other reports (see today’s Powerline and Washington Examiner articles regarding this).

    • Recon5

Sharpton always does that. He throws out a few platitudes to cover the justification for the behaviour he spends the rest of his time on. Victims, no justice, sweet Michael the “gentle giant” “executed, murdered, killed in cold blood and he was just an unarmed teen, alone in the jungle of police brutality”, etc.
St. Michael quite possibly has a sealed juvy record that includes assault and weapons charges and an immediate pattern of confrontational behaviour and violence in the 20 minutes before he got shot. Wilson had a duty to stop him from harming anyone else whether he was launching a second assault or running away. Johnson’s witness statement contradicts everything he said in front of the camera, and Johnson has a record of his own, complete with time served.
I’m guessing Sharpton didn’t mention any of that in St. Michaels eulogy.

The USA has some serious problems and most of these happened in and under Sheik Obama’s watch who is to blame;,
first of all people do not care how they vote
second, the house and senate have reach the lowest rate of approval
third, Obama a socialist want to be a dictator an make his own rules
fourth. the house and senate allow this
fifth, the cover ups and lies are out of proportion
sixth, nobody does care in Washington
seventh , USA will deteriorate after you vote in Clinton, the same song and dance
and you know you only can blame yourself for the people voted for the pundits that run the country !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

One thing that is not spoken of in this media blitz, is we as humans do stupid things. And those things can be life changers and of course life ending incidents.
Whether they are car crashes, falls, saying something that we regret, getting drunk or doing bad things that some good people do. But Michael Brown went into a store and robbed the cigars and then physically threatened the store clerk
and then while doing something stupid (jay walking) those guys were still on a rampage whether they knew it or not…but it led to arguing with the cop and then physically assaulting him and grabbing for his gun…another dump move that cost him his life. But that is the reality that the media, the family, the phony reverend and the whole riot that prevailed after…it was his fault. No one is speaking those things and the whole thing will get worse unless someone does.
We all need to pray and step back and search for peace.

    • Recon5

Brown wasn’t jay walking, he and Dorian were walking down the middle of the street. If I remember correctly, there were at least two calls to the police about it.

  • Patricia Taylor

Why are they allowed to “incite violence”? That’s illegal isn’t it? And why isn’t anyone telling them that the shooting, based on physical evidence was justified as the officer was in fear for his life. All eyewitness accounts have been destroyed with the autopsy results.

    • William

Nobody incited violence at the funeral.
      Quite the opposite.

Like so many articles on Front Page, Matthew Vadum’s begins with a lie. No credible evidence has so far emerged that Wilson suffered “a severe head injury.” But at FP journalistic standards languish whenever the house ideologues pick up their pens.

      You’re the liar.

      • Harry Black

Ah, nothing like a careful, well-reasoned comment backed by fact. Let me reiterate the point: “no credible evidence has so far emerged that Wilson suffered ‘a severe head injury.’”

  • Waiting

Refusing ever to call or refer to him as “reverend”…I post a quote from the article:
“I told his grandfather, I don’t care what happened,”
That sentence says it all. It doesn’t matter to sharpton what happened…all that matters is how he can benefit from it.
This kind of action is the work of an evil mind.

Basically seems there was a fracas. Kid wouldn’t settle down, seems had just committed a robbery and thugging, was probably high at least on adrenalin, and witness the struggle in the care, out of the car, down the street…He obviously did not halt when the officer said Stop. This is simple. Not obeying the policeman’s command. Most of us were taught to Stop for your life. Anything else is foolishness. Simple common sense.

it is simply reprehensible that Obama is using Ferguson to stoke votes in November. Make ‘em mad enough to vote!

Why was the funeral delayed for 2 weeks? 3 days is standard so to get the maximum racial hatered buildup they delayed for 2 weeks. Racism is becomming a Black “thing” now althought the liberal media will ignore this so that they can continue blamin the white race for the problem.

  • JB Ziggy Zoggy

Michael Brown was a gigantic criminal ape, but how do you know he hurt ossifer Wilson and tried to take his gun?

You don’t. The notion that a 6’4 290 lb silverback would be ubable to wrest a gun from a pathetic little wimp like Wilson and then unexplainably walk away is unbelievable, to say the least. Not that Johnson’s story is believable.

This entire story is a load of $hit. Every “witness” is a liar and that includes Wilson.

Washington married Martha, who was the slave owner. Virginia law made it illegal to emancipate slaves. Prior to marriage he owned no slaves.
Jefferson was a slave owner who advocated making slavery illegal. He proposed legislation outlawing slavery and worked all his life to eliminate the blot on America.
