VA Scandal: This Is What Death Panels Look Like

Health ImageThe Veterans Administration hospital scandal that has claimed the lives of at least 40 U.S. military veterans continues to expand, adding to the image of a president who neither knows nor cares what happens to those who shed their blood on the battlefield for their fellow Americans.

With a little under six months before the crucial midterm elections, it is a helpful reminder to voters of the horrors that are not glitches, but essential features, of government-provided health care. The problems at the VA are omens, sneak previews of what the delivery of all health care in America will look like under Obamacare, and so it is fortuitous that the scandal should surface now.

President Obama is predictably, perfunctorily, outraged about these bad things that have been happening in the government he controls. He is shocked and promises to get to the bottom of the issue and do better in the future. It is tedious stuff.

The happenings at the VA are also more evidence, Obama critics say, that the president despises the military. Obama has been moving to reduce soldier pay and benefits and hollow out the military to mid-century staff levels. He has also been going on a human resources rampage, firing flag officers at a rate that alarms military observers. And like any good leftist, Obama believes that the only good American soldier is one who is functioning as a social worker, not a war-fighter.

Meanwhile, Obama VA officials have been working overtime covering up the various waiting list atrocities that have been popping up cross the country.

A whistleblower who exposed the waiting list scandal in Fort Collins, Colorado, says she was suspended after she refused to falsify records.

Lisa Lee, who was employed at that clinic, said she was placed on two weeks of unpaid leave for not following a directive that involved “cooking the books” on scheduling medical appointments to create the false impression that appointments were made closer to the time veterans requested.

“Why are they throwing me under the bus when I’m trying to say what the problem is?”

At least 40 U.S. veterans have died waiting for appointments at the Phoenix, Ariz., Veterans Affairs Health Care system, CNN reported April 30. Many of the dead had been put on a secret waiting list.

That list was reportedly part of an elaborate scheme designed by Veterans Administration officials who were attempting to conceal the fact that between 1,400 and 1,600 sick veterans were forced to wait months to see a physician.

The VA requires its hospitals to provide care to patients in a timely manner, usually within 14 to 30 days, according to Dr. Sam Foote who just retired after working at the Phoenix facility for 24 years. He said officials destroyed evidence to cover up the existence of the bogus waiting list.

VA officials “wouldn’t take you off that secret list until you had an appointment time that was less than 14 days so it would give the appearance that they were improving greatly the waiting times, when in fact they were not,” Foote said.

Foote said the waiting times in Phoenix that were reported to VA headquarters in Washington were make-believe. “So then when they did that, they would report to Washington, ‘Oh yeah. We’re makin’ our appointments within — within 10 days, within the 14-day frame,’ when in reality it had been six, nine, in some cases 21 months,” he said.

Like the Benghazi scandal and the IRS targeting of conservative and Tea Party nonprofits, the VA scandal has legs.

Yet President Obama, who nowadays seems barely aware of what his administration is doing, claimed through a spokesman that he learned about this controversy that is rocking his administration from news reports.

It cannot be true. In fact Obama’s team was briefed on the long-running problems at the VA by the outgoing Bush administration during the transition process in 2008.

The Washington Times obtained government documents under the Freedom of Information Act (FoIA) that showed that the “Obama administration received clear notice more than five years ago that VA medical facilities were reporting inaccurate waiting times and experiencing scheduling failures that threatened to deny veterans timely health care.”

VA officials told the Obama-Biden transition team in the weeks following Obama’s election that the agency should not rely on the waiting times that VA facilities were reporting.

“This is not only a data integrity issue in which [Veterans Health Administration] reports unreliable performance data; it affects quality of care by delaying — and potentially denying — deserving veterans timely care,” the officials wrote.

Of course, if the Obama administration had simply failed to do anything about the problem, that would be one thing, but Obama officials doctored government records to airbrush the problem away. This is why patient advocates and lawmakers are demanding the head of the guy in charge, the hapless Veterans Affairs secretary, Eric Shinseki.

Shinseki testified before a congressional panel last week and came across as being out of his depth, claiming he was as angry about the deadly bureaucratic bungling as anyone. Maybe he was sincere; maybe he wasn’t.

A lapdog and a yes man for the Obama White House, Shinseki has retired from the armed forces. But there was no need for him to step down from the Pentagon. Shinseki is the ideal Obama general: left-wing, incompetent, obedient to the point of servility, and a member of an identifiable minority group.

History shows pretty conclusively that governments are very, very bad at providing health care services and the Veterans Administration has a long, inglorious history of patient abuse and neglect that has stretched out over decades.

The VA system is outdated and doomed. It cannot work. Like Obamacare, it is based on the insane notion that medical services can be provided effectively outside of markets.

Obamacare, as people seem to be realizing, is just like the VA system and government-run systems abroad. These lethal queues are an everyday occurrence in United Kingdom and Canada where news headlines about the failings of socialized medicine keep teams of reporters busy.

Politicians in those countries are continually outraged by government health care failures. They tell voters they will fix the problems. Yet somehow the problems never get fixed. Everyone is just a number.

Those who are honest about what happens in those countries acknowledge that those individuals and groups with political clout get the best treatment; those without, suffer and die prematurely. If your medical malady lacks political sex appeal, too bad for you.

The provision of health care inevitably degenerates into interest group warfare among epidemiological lobbies.

It is useful to think of a variation of the old tax collector’s adage, that one about getting the greatest amount of feathers with the least amount of squawking. In this case, politicians and bureaucrats, instead of consumers and providers, function as health care allocators.

Their task, whether they are aware of it or not, becomes taking away the greatest amount of benefits so that it results in the least amount of squawking from patients.

This is the essence of the Obamacare-mandated “death panels” about which Sarah Palin wisely cautioned her countrymen.

The Veterans Administration scandal is a dire warning to the American public about what awaits them if the Obamacare train is not soon derailed.

The true scandal is the VA system itself.

In additional to the many failings already publicly identified in drips and drabs, there is serious cause for alarm resulting from the very nature of the VA care system.

These institutional, organic – and historic – weaknesses are reflected in the far greater mortality and morbidity rates experienced at VA facilities and hospitals compared with non-VA facilities.

What is little appreciated is that much of the “care” at VA facilities is often provided by poorly, if at all supervised trainees – students, residents and fellows – the most inexperienced providers – often when the expertise of the most experienced providers can and does make the difference between life and death.

Already nurse anesthetists provide anesthesia services at VA completely independently and unsupervised by physician anesthesiologists.

The VA model is the future for healthcare – or what will be left of it – in America, with lesser-trained practitioners clamoring and competing to dole out watered-down “care” in a system rife with unfettered and unaccountable bureaucracy, a system which is littered with “affirmative action” provisions – as is the poorly dubbed “Affordable Care Act” – which more aptly deserves the moniker “Affirmative Action Act”.

This “Affordable Care Act” not only dumbs down medical care and makes both routine and advanced services effectively unavailable or inaccessible to all but the political elites, it monitors and regulates entry to professional schools, including medical schools and intrudes on medical offices, hospitals, ERs and ORs – including monitoring and auditing by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance.

Who is coming into your doctor’s – or nurse’s – office? To your hospital bed? Who will be performing your surgery and who will be administering your anesthesia?

    Be afraid. Be very afraid.

If you are not saved by accepting the LORD JESUS CHRIST AS SAVIOR, it these very troubled times, it is time to accept the precious blood that He shed for us, He is coming soon for HIS own..

I believe that Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. has been a very good hospital. President Eisenhower went there after he retired.
The Bethesda Naval Hospital is also good.

      • WesternCivilization

Walter Reed is an Army Medical Center and Bethesda is a Naval Medical Center, these and Brooke Army Medical Center are flagship military hospital centers and are not part of the VA medical system.

  • popsiq

What history “shows that governments are very bad at providing healthcare services”? There are some governments that are very good at providing healthcare services. When it comes to veterans, some are outstanding.
Even looking at the numbers here, it would seem that 40 deaths out of a system accessed annually in millions of visits and interactions might not be unreasonable, Veterans as a demographic being more prone to poor health, and of late fairly significant physical and mental issues, than the normal population.
That being said, problems at the VA are historic, and probably entrenched in the genetic structure of the beast. It seems obvious that Shinseki’s administration hasn’t been able to ‘hone’ the edge as much as add to its patina of ‘shinola’.
    VA is a failed state.

    • Atikva

Which governments are very good at providing healthcare services?

      • kikorikid

Thanks, Id like to know as well.

        • Softly Bob

Britain, for twenty years or so, then in typical socialist fashion – they ran out of other people’s money to spend.

Socialism does work, but only for one generation, then at least two further generations have to clean the mess up!

    • glpage

If one of those 40 or so veterans who died had been a close family member of yours would you be so flip about the statistics? The problem isn’t just those 40 people, it’s also all the others who aren’t getting the care they need. The problems at VA are symptomatic of problems throughout the federal bureaucracy; the entire system is too large to manage, when that happens we start seeing the mess we’re in. It will get worse before it gets better.

    • http://www.stubbornthings.org NAHALKIDES

No governments are “very good at providing healthcare services”. The ones that come close to adequate are those who socialize the costs without completely destroying the free elements of their health-care system; for example, that don’t completely enslave the practice of medicine. But in the end, a free-market will always be best for health care because despite the protestations of the statists among us, health care is just like any other good or service that has to be produced by human beings.

    • kikorikid

Yours is pseudo scientific jargon at best.
“Visits and interactions” DO NOT equate to
“Medical Care” in any meaningful way here.
These dead Vets were not afforded the opportunity
to see ANY Physician, Primary OR Specialist!. They
were DENIED medical care and left to DIE.
Your “Theory” is corrupt as well.
We are not looking at “Governments” in this
VA scandal. We are looking at the “People”
who are working for a Government. They
will be “Diversity idelogues” carrying out
      punishment of Whites for “Percieved”
historical wrongs. Or at least “their” story goes.
This would be a more productive theoretical base.
We need/want the “Racial Distribution” of the
forty(40) dead as well as the 2,000 on any
      “Secret List(s)”.

    • rxpc

“it would seem that 40 deaths out of a system accessed annually in
millions of visits and interactions might not be unreasonable”
Those 40 deaths were not all deaths among veterans who seek healthcare via the VA. Only 40 in a very small geographic area that were denied prompt care by being put on a secret waiting list. The comparison is useless. Sounds like you studied math under the new common core.

      • kikorikid

        Thanks,rxpc!

    • kikorikid

      Your methodological construct is corrupt.
40 deaths “by” millions of visits is simply
      not a valid hypothesis.
Of the forty(40) deaths, how many were:
      African-American?
      Hispanic?
      White?
If the dead are truly a random group you
should expect 10%-14% to be African-American,
let’s say 3-5. My “working hypothesis” is that the
Data will indicate that the Forty(40) dead
is not a random sample, but rather, the data
is skewed by design, and Yes, I believe
      all the dead are White.

  • Hard Little Machine

The ACA actually stipulates review boards, aka death panels starting in 2017 when the funding equations for subsidies all change. Oh they’re coming.

  • c0mm0ncenz

Indeed the situation is worse than the current articles are revealing. First, not all veterans are even able to get on any list. There are so many vets needing care that only those who have medical problems resulting from injuries received while serving can get on the list. If you got sick or hurt after leaving the military, you can’t sign up. So these long lists and other problems are only in regard to health problems developed while in military service. We owe these vets good health care for injuries incurred on our behalf. This is really a despicable situation.

Satan has a terrible grip on this nation, we have allowed him to take over the leadership of the nation and we are seeing the results growing toward the return of JESUS, everyday. We were once, the greatest and most Christian nation in the world, for many years and we grew in riches and wisdom for 300 years, then Satan began to win battles because we were becoming weak and greedy, willing to sacrifice to get what we wanted. What did we, what were we willing to sacrifice for gain?. We began to forget, a little at a time HIS commandments. We have become one of the most degenerate nations in the world. We dropped from the top to near the bottom, because we have the most powerful evil force, ruling our nation and he has his henchmen all lined up to do his work.

Is there another nation who has legalized homosexuality, beastality, the killing their children, by the million, maybe some of these but all of them? The government is working everyday to enslave our people. Our country is being set up for take over by Satan and his mforces.

I do not know at what point GOD will step in but HE is getting fed up. We can denote this by terrible weather pattern, floods, droughts, blizzards, hurricanes and mass murders, and other disasters.

    1 Peter 1:3-9
    3. Blessed be the GOD and FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, which according to HIS abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of JESUS CHRIST from the dead,
    4. To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
    5. Who are kept by the power of GOD through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
    6. Wherein, ye greatly rejoice though not for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
    7. That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of JESUS CHRIST:
    8. Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see HIM not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
    9. Receiving the and of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

It should be funny to see all of so-called nonbelievers and atheists that make fun of us who believe in God when the end finally arrives. It brings back the memories of the movie Titanic when all the people were scrambling for the lifeboats.

      • 20pizzapies

What you don’t realize is that this nation is now reaping what it has sown . Do you really think this nation has operated according to the teachings of Christ over the span of it’s existence ? If you do , you are deluded . You believe in God ? So does Satan .

    • truthtroll

300 years huh? so was owning slaves part of this “Christian nation” that practiced the commandments in your eyes?

TROLL ALERT. Scroll past the troll.

      • dynbrake

      • dextermassolettisr

I personally, don’t know. You might ask the negroes that owned slaves. Or all the other people of the world who were slaves to somebody or other. That may include present-day wage-slaves we see rushing to work every day to help the indolent by diktat.

  • John Davidson

I had local Congressman file complaints about this practice 6 years ago with the Veteran’s committee in Congress. All they did was pass it along to Obama’s administration that then passed it along to the clinic I cited. They then lost it. That is until I showed up in person to inquire about it. That’s went I spent 2 days isolated in a local hospital treated like a criminal for 2 days. It was claimed I had TB, if you can believe that. I managed to escape.

  • cxt

Also deeply troubling to me is the fact that the head of the system has no power to fire his “employees.” No matter how badly they perform.

    Welcome to big government.

    • glpage

Why would Obama want to fire those employees? They’re union members. Obama wouldn’t want to do anything to upset one of his most loyal voting blocs.

      • kikorikid

        “THE” voting block!
        Diversity minions and Communist.

  • liz

Yes, here we have the glorious future of our entire health care system.
If you think the IRS is out of control, wait till Obama-care gets going.

    • CaoMoo

Mighty nice surgery you need… vote for my boy and you just might get it. If not well the earth is overpopulated anyways so have fun being part of that solution.

It will go something like that

  • sundance69

For all the people who made fun of Sarah Palin when she brought up the subject of death panels take note. OB has always been in favor of a single-payer health system, well here it is folks in full bloom.

    • Hard Little Machine

Single payer would actually work. This is something quite different. This is the government forking over the payment to insurance companies while squatting like a monster over who can charge what. It’s price controls that are ONLY imposed on the patient, not the provider.

      • sundance69

Sorry you are wrong, we can agree to disagree.

      • kevinstroup

You are wrong. Medical care is finite. Therefore it will be rationed. In a capitalist system it is rationed based upon how much you can pay. In a socialist system it is rationed based upon your perceived usefulness to the government. But it is rationed.

        • quillerm

Medical care is rationed in the Canadian and British NHS, not in the US. The last internal NHS survey found that UK patients would have a 47% better survival rate in US Hospitals because of the vast number of specialists in our System.

          • kevinstroup

It is rationed here too. It is rationed based upon your ability to pay. Nothing in medical care is infinite. If something is finite it gets rationed. Period.

          • Debbie G

I disagree. I’ve worked in the hospital system and for a private practice for 35 years and have NEVER seen health care “rationed.” The Medicaid patient gets the IDENTICAL treatment as the paying patient. Also, hospitals see many patients on a charity basis.

          • kevinstroup

Once more, for the economically illiterate. EVERYTHING is FINITE. You do not get unlimited healthcare, because there is no such thing as unlimited money. Healthcare cost money. So yes, everything that cost money is rationed in some form or another. What part of this concept you not understand? Those Medicaid patients are paid for by someone else via taxes. So are the charity patients via donations. That money is taken from somebody who could have spent it going to college, buying a car, or going on vacation. This is called an opportunity cost. Do you think your salary, the medical devices, the hospital buildings just pay for themselves, magically? Does the medical system run on love and understanding?

          • Debbie G

I never said money was unlimited–of course someone is paying for it. WHAT I SAID WAS, that I have never seen anyone denied medical care. Yet.

          • dextermassolettisr

Rationing is about access not cost. That is just dumb. That is why my Ration Books (started in 1941) had the stamps, the money didn’t do anything without them and you never saw that did you? The free market, such as they will allow here, gives us the best per-dollar medical care in the world, that suffers mainly for all the taxes (many of which you don’t even know about). Go learn something before you pontificate.

          • kevinstroup

No dexter, you do not get access without money. You need to get a clue, dunce.

          • dextermassolettisr

Since you obviously have not had to live with a ration book with you name on it, I think you could cool your jets when there’s something you can learn instead of blowing your opinion out of wherever it comes from.
Money cannot buy what they will not sell you.
            Plain enough?
            Go argue with yourself.

      • quillerm

Single Payer Universal healthcare is exactly what the VA system is, a government mess with no accountability, Union employees, salaried medical staff, advance notice of inspections, etc. Single Payer means the Government takes over for Health Insurance Companies, they are put out of business.

      • truebearing

So will the square wheel, but nobody has done it right, yet. You should give it a go.

      • dextermassolettisr

I guess. For you. Unless of course you notice you are the single payer and decide you too do not want to work.
How much milk do you get sucking your thumb?

        • 20pizzapies

I love it when ignorant parrots like you , make a concerted effort to show how truly ignorant you are . Anyone who is a Veteran of the US Armed Forces , and I am , knows that the V.A. has been this way for the past 40 years , or atleast as long as I’ve been out of the service and have used the V.A. This crap didn’t happen overnight , and schmucks like you just add to the problem . I’m just lucky that I had jobs with good medicals plans and I’ll soon be reaching Medicare eligibility . The V.A. depends on guys like me NOT using their services , and it victimizes those Vets who are too poor or have no decent medical plan and are dependant on the V.A. for their medical problems .These are the victims , and this is why the V.A. has gotten away with this behavior , and the politicians who do their dance every time a scandal like this comes to the surface but at the end of the day do NOTHING .
You are a schmuck . Hope you don’t ever find yourself in dire need of medical assistance and have only the V.A. to turn to . You politicize this ? You’re just as dumb and utterly stupid as Palin . People like you make me sick .

  • nomoretraitors

Anybody care to guess the race of the veterans who died in AZ?

    • kikorikid

We need to see the Racial Distribution of the forty(40) dead as
well as the 2,000 on any “Secret List(s) at the VAMC Phoenix.
VAMC Albaqurque(sp) NM has already been “caught”
destroying records. This appears to be a broad based
scheme of oppression by “Diversity” minions . The “Diversity”
that says all Whites are Racist. The “Diversity” that has been
carrying out oppression of “White-Males(Females) for
the past twenty years. The “diversity” that uses Affirmative

Our V.A hospitals are a less expensive, mini-Universal Health Care System. Doesn’t it work great? • stephencarter

In Obama’s America everything is politicized, leftist ideology drives all their policy positions. For leftist Obozo fans veterans are by definition conservative, patriotic, self-supporting, productive, honorable … all the things Obozo and most leftists don’t have in their own lives, and which they despise. Veterans are one of the targeted groups by the Obama regime, a group that needs to be monitored, surveilled, controlled, and suppressed because they represent the enemy. It’s obvious Obama hates veterans, like he hates small business owners, Christians, gun owners … He hates anybody who thinks and acts on their own behalf.

What we now need to find out is if there was a secret directive or mechanism that initiated the secret lists. My instinct tells me there is. The other thing I would like to see is the racial/political affiliation breakdown of those put on the secret lists.

Obama and his evil minions are stearing this country in the same direction that past Marxist regimes have gone. The unstated objective is to eliminate people that the regime doesn’t think should live. The criteria for those undeserving of life are directly related to a citizen’s political/religious/ideological orientation.

This entire episode is disgusting. These problems didn’t start under Obama’s administration, but they certainly haven’t made any effort to correct any problems at all, even through they were told about it back in 2008.
There is no excuse for lying and covering things up—–unless you did something you weren’t supposed to. Like secret lists of people waiting to die. Then they give bonuses to these people for saving money! Wow!
Our Veterans deserve so much more than this! And for the president and the administration to claim they knew nothing and proclaim faux outrage, it’s not only an insult to everyone’s intelligence, it’s a slap across the face to the Vets.

You are jeopardizing their bonuses! It’s the bonuses that matter, not the Veterans.

    “Shinseki testified before a
congressional panel last week and came across as being out of his depth,
claiming he was as angry about the deadly bureaucratic bungling as
anyone. Maybe he was sincere; maybe he wasn’t.”

What does it matter. He should be fired. In fact he should never have been appointed to the position in the first place. In DC it’s not what but who you know, not how well you do your job but how well you follow orders, not how well you administer but how well you conceal.

“The VA system is outdated and doomed.
It cannot work. Like Obamacare, it is based on the insane notion that
medical services can be provided effectively outside of markets.”

The government will always opt to create and to expand bureaucracies instead of funding more cost-effective and efficient services in the free market. It’s called “empire building” and happens in large corporations as well. It’s all about power and control, not service and benefits.

  • Ellman48

    “The Veterans Administration scandal is
a dire warning to the American public about what awaits them if the
Obamacare train is not soon derailed.”

Ancient Israel did not heed the words of its prophets. Today’s Americans are not likely to do so either. It is only when they look in the rear view mirror that they will recognize how valid the prophecies were.

WHY SHOULD BARACK OBAMA GIVE A DAMN ABOUT OUR VETS

when most of them are hostile to him and think he’s a weakling and girlie man?

Click http://www.apollospeaks.com to continue reading the sarcasm.

Screw Obama and his “Healthcare” hope it gets repealed and he goes to jail where he and Holder can be lovers.

  • 20pizzapies

Oh give it a break Vadum , I remember George Bush in the middle of the same V.A. scandal , and every other President since I got out of the Army in ’70 . The Doctors suck , the waiting time for appointments to see a doctor were almost the same . [2-3 months ] This has been going on in the V.A. when Palin was in diapers , and NO ONE has listened to the Vets . All you newcomers must have some sort of memory or history block . There’s even been a few Hollywood Movies made about this disgrace , and that was 25-30 years ago . This is the fault of ALL 525 BUMS we’ve been putting in Congress since atleast 1970 , because nothing has changed . If they don’t kill you , they’ll make you a zombie by drugging you with painkillers and anti-depressants . Get intouch with reality and forget all that Palin Partisan B.S.

While EVERY Hospital has had “Medical care”
issues, the fallability of Man etc…, The current VAMC issue is NOT that.
One cannot find mal-practice were there has been NO practice.
The “Secret List(s)” is made up, primarily, of Vets trying to “Enter” the system.
Bureaucrats at the “Member Services” desk sent Vets
into oblivion and death. I think the data will show
this is a Diversity scheme of oppression and death
      for White-Males.

      • 20pizzapies

You’re a sick puppy kikorikid . I ‘m a Viet Vet , the V.A. has been like this since atleast 1970 when I got out of the Army . The V.A. does indeed have incompetent staff , and I know this because they killed my best friend an ex Viet Vet himself .After months of delays , a few misdiagnoses and a botched major surgery , followed by incompetence , 3 yrs of pain , suffering and fighting the V.A. my buddy finally succumbed on Dec.26 , 2013 , Hopefully twisted minds like yours have no say in these matters since they merely obfuscate the issues with hair brain theories which are a waste of everyone’s time . Take your tin-foil hat of Duncan , this crap has been going on through every admin from Johnson , Nixon , Ford , Carter , Reagan , Clinton , GH Bush , GW Bush , and now Obama .

Well then you should know , if you had the misfortune of having to use the V.A. I was lucky , landed jobs that had good medical benefits which went beyond my employment and into retirement , and in a short time I will be Medicare eligible , I will never have to deal with the V.A.

          • kikorikid

            Then you are fortunate.

  • popseal

It took 18 months, but I found a VA Clinic facility that suite me. At 63 years of age I discovered by accident that I qualified for the system. Now I’m having second thoughts, but it may be too late. Why is it every time I get around bureaucrats I feel like I need a hot shower and plenty of antibacterial soap?

Obama Wanted to Charge Wounded Veterans for TreatmentMay 22, 2014

    http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2014/05/22/flashback_obama_wanted_to_charge_wounded_veterans_for_treatment

Obama is mad that his plan wasn’t accepted, so Obama is getting even by letting them die. He is a terrorist, who’s using the White House and every
    dept. as his weapon.

It’s just like ROE, which is nothing more than Obama saying, kill the soldiers, by making it look like incompetence. I’m not stupid or pc. I know what I see, and why this man isn’t arrested and led out in chains is beyond me.

So you have to use a plane or bombs to terrorize Americans? Think again.

  • Debbie G

Why do vets have to use VA hospitals? Can’t the government pay for vets be seen at “regular” hospitals?

  • MrUniteUs1

Why are the Hospital Administrators in Phoenix getting a pass?

Haven’t even heard one name mentioned publicly.

  • kikorikid

The bureaucracy that makes up VAMCs across the Country
are made up, majority, of “Diversity” ideologues whose
scheme of oppression will soon be uncovered.
We must see the data that will provide the Racial Distribution
of the forty(40) dead as well as the 1,300-2,000 on any
“Secret List(s)” at VAMC, Phoenix. 26 others.
    How many African-Americans died?
    How many Hispanics died?
    How many Whites?
It looks like “Diversity” has reached a form of the
“Final Solution”. Demand to see the data!
Veterans were sent into oblivion and death.

The Vets would be better off if we just issued them Medicare Cards , after all we promised to take care of them and continue to fail miserably no matter who the President . But the 525 morons in Congress know if we do that it will cost 5 x s as much as the V.A. so we continue to employee has been doctors , doctors with liability or licensing problems , and just plain INCOMPETENTS , and not enough to meet the demand to boot . To make this a partisan political issue is an insult of the highest order to Vets .This problem/disgrace transcends political parties because it has been going on for decades under every Administration .But I’m not surprised that the mindless and brainless Palin ressurects her “Death Panel Spiel ” which any thinking man and Vet knows is just plain Horsesheeet . But go ahead Vadum , play it up , you’re doing not one bit of good for the Vets who’ve been complaining about this since Vietnam . In Fact this goes back as far as the Founding Fathers . I guess all you Constitution experts don’t know that there was a Revolt , including gunfire after the Revolutionary War by Vets who never got the pensions they were promised . The more things change the more they remain the same – Vets get screwed .

  • 20pizzapies

No Vadum , this is NOT what Death Panels look like , this is what the V.A . LOOKS LIKE , and HAS looked like for the past several decades .I can tell you never served , because any Vet would have the sense not to make this another political football . Palin’s a mindless hack and you’ve got her TRUMPED .

    • The Quadfather

Palin is a beautiful intelligent lady and she knows what she talks about.

      • 20pizzapies

She knows nothing and you know less .
