Nigerian ‘Sex-Slaves’ Disrupt Obama Narrative on Islam

Boko-Haram-5_2909162bIslamic law permits the possession of concubines, or sex slaves.  This has been demonstrated countless times, including through Islamic clerics quoting Islamic scriptures, and through ordinary Muslims, past and present, acting on it

That said, Islamic sanctioned sex-slavery does not perturb the Western world simply because the powers-that-be—specifically academia, media, and government—ignore it, and all other unsavory phenomena associated with Islam, out of existence.

Interesting, therefore, are the responses from the authorities—comical one might even say—when one of these everyday anecdotes actually does surface to the general public.

Enter the recent abduction of nearly 300, mostly Christian, teenage schoolgirls in Nigeria at the hands of Boko Haram, yet another Islamic terrorist organization plaguing mankind.  As expected, the group justified its actions in Islamic terms, with its leader declaring on video, “I abducted your girls. I will sell them on the market, by Allah….There is a market for selling humans. Allah says I should sell.”

Of course, for those in the know, none of this is surprising.   In March 2012, Boko Haram warned that it would do just this, declaring that it was preparing to “strike fear into the Christians of the power of Islam by kidnapping their women.”

Moreover, of all the human rights abuses I catalog in Crucified Again: Exposing Islam’s New War on Christians—and these are depressingly many—Boko Haram’s has resulted in more Christians killed than in the rest of the world combined.

The group has bombed or burned hundreds of Christian churches in the last several years, most when packed for service, including on Christmas Day and Easter Day, leaving countless worshippers dead or dismembered. In its bid to cleanse northern Nigeria of all Christian presence—a repeatedly stated goal—it has threatened to poison the food eaten by Christians and stormed areas where Christians and Muslims were intermingled, singling the Christians out before slitting their throats.

Go to my monthly “Muslim Persecution of Christians” series (currently 31 in all), and see the innumerable atrocities that Boko Haram has been responsible for in the last two-and-a-half years—many of which make the recent Nigerian girls’ abduction pale in comparison.

The real news here is that the so-called mainstream media, which generally downplays or ignores Boko Haram’s terror campaign (see here for example), actually reported on this particular atrocity, prompting both Western and Muslim authorities—who are much more accustomed to, and comfortable with, pretending these sorts of things don’t exist—to respond in awkward, hypocritical and, in a word, foolish, ways. Thus,

Secretary of State John Kerry said the U.S. had been in touch with Nigeria “from day one” of the crisis. But repeated offers of U.S. assistance were ignored until Kerry got on the phone Tuesday with [Nigerian president] Jonathan amid growing international concern and outrage over the fate of the girls in the weeks since their abduction….  “I think now the complications that have arisen have convinced everybody that there needs to be a greater effort,” Kerry said at a State Department news conference. “And it will begin immediately. I mean, literally, immediately.”

“Convinced everybody”?  Is Kerry referring to himself?  After all, there might not have been any need for “greater effort,” the need to act “immediately. I mean, literally, immediately” had Kerry only let the Nigerian president and government do their job one year ago, when they were waging a particularly strong offensive against Boko Haram in the very same region that the schoolgirls were recently kidnapped.

Back then, in May 2013, according to Reuters, “U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry issued a strongly worded statement [to the Nigerian president] saying: “We are … deeply concerned by credible allegations that Nigerian security forces are committing gross human rights violations, which, in turn, only escalate the violence and fuel extremism” from Boko Haram.

Perhaps this sheds more light on why “repeated offers of U.S. assistance [regarding the kidnapped girls] were ignored” by Nigeria, “until Kerry got on the phone” (whatever that means).

As for Kerry’s predecessor, Hillary Clinton, who is now bemoaning the lot of the kidnapped girls in Nigeria—saying it’s “abominable, it’s criminal, it’s an act of terrorism and it really merits the fullest response possible”—when she was Secretary of State, and in a position to help offer “the fullest response possible” she repeatedly refused to designate Boko Haram as a “foreign terrorist organizations,” despite the countless atrocities it had already committed, despite the fact that it had boasted it would “strike fear into the Christians of the power of Islam by kidnapping their women,” as it just has, and despite urging from the CIA, FBI, Justice Department, and several congressmen and senators.

Her logic was once voiced by her husband, former U.S. president Bill Clinton.  Back in February 2012, in a speech in Nigeria, Clinton declared that “inequality” and “poverty” are “what’s fueling all this stuff”—a reference to Boko Haram’s terror—and warned the government that “It is almost impossible to cure a problem based on violence with violence”—a precursor to Kerry’s May 2013 condemnation of the Nigerian government’s tough offensive against Boko Haram, which would supposedly “only escalate the violence and fuel extremism.”

In short, just like the Obama administration has been a thorn in Egypt’s war with the Muslim Brotherhood, so too has it been a thorn in Nigeria’s war with Boko Haram—despite all its current handwringing and “outrage” over this latest—that is, known—atrocity.

As for the “Islam” aspect of Boko Haram’s violence and Christian persecution, needless to say the Obama administration rejects it outright.  Thus, after the 2012 Easter Day church bombings by Boko Haram that killed dozens of worshippers, U.S. Secretary of State for African Affairs Johnnie Carson was quick to insist that “religion is not driving extremist violence”—or, in the aforementioned words of Bill Clinton, “inequality” and “poverty” are “what’s fueling all this stuff.”

Still, because this latest kidnapping anecdote has received sufficient media attention, including in the Arab and Muslim worlds, some Muslim leaders have been forced out of their comfort zone to respond.

Thus, Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayib, the Grand Sheikh of Egypt’s Al Azhar—regularly touted as the Muslim world’s most prestigious institution of Islamic learning—was quick to condemn Boko Haram’s actions of kidnapping and selling “infidel” women, saying, “these actions have no connection to the tolerant and noble teachings of Islam.”

As for Egypt’s minister of endowments, Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar al-Gum‘a, he too released a statement saying that “the terrorist deeds of Boko Haram have nothing to do with Islam, especially this latest deed of kidnapping girls.  Instead, they are terroristic, criminal actions, and Islam is clean of them.”  He then went into White House spokesperson mode, saying that poverty, economics, and the rest were the true motivators for Boko Haram’s savagery.

One can sympathize with Egypt’s state sheikhs—after all, they are busy fighting their own brand of Islam misunderstanders, the Muslim Brotherhood and their fellow ideologues, who have been abducting male Coptic Christians for ransom and females for sexual abuse, slavery, and/or conversion to Islam.

Happily for these moderate clerics, few are openly challenging their assertions that Islam is clean of Boko Haram’s actions.  Based on precedent, they often have no response and can become hostile.

For example, some years back, when Sheikh Gamal Qutb, a one-time Grand Mufti of Al Azhar, was asked on live Arabic-language TV if Islam permits sex slaves, he refused to give a direct answer, preferring to prevaricate.  When pressed for a clear answer by the Muslim female host, he became hostile and stormed off the set.  He eventually returned, only to be implored again by the host, who said, “Ninety percent of Muslims, including myself, do not understand the issue of sex slavery in Islam and are having a hard time swallowing it,” to which he gruffly responded, “You don’t need to understand!”

And there you have it.  From Obama administration officials who helped empower Nigeria’s Islamic terrorists, only to wring their hands and feign outrage at their behavior, to Islamic clerics forced to confront the ugly side of Islam, only to put their heads in the sand and hope no one calls them out—here is just a small example of what officialdom would have to deal with if the full totality of crimes committed in the name of Islam were to become common knowledge.

Western leaders fear the cost of mounting an effective campaign against Islamic aggression both in blood and treasure, so they prefer to stick their collective heads in the sand and ignore the problem. Unfortunately, the Islamists usually respond by escalating their aggression until they cannot be ignored – as they did in 9/11 and now with the Nigerian girls.

    • VeryChic

The West, and the East for that matter, cannot “mount an effective campaign against Islamic aggression” without taking into account the social realities of all the different jihads. Pretending that we just label these groups w/the noun jihad and then we blast away at them using American.western military might has already proven to not work in Iraq and Afghanistan. How many different times do we need this fact proven to us? It’s not debatable! The U.S. w/its design and implementation of the PRISM surveillance system has made a valiant (and expensive!) effort at assisting all world governments at curbing their jihads (if they’re facing one) so let’s not pretend we’re holding back on spending our treasure here in the U.S. to stop the Palestinian jihad against the U.S. But we cannot simply militarize the battle against jihadists.using traditional military means when they are operating as non-traditional guerrilla forces and expect to be successful nor can we expect to shift vast populations of Muslims away from Islam. Our only choice is to have them choose nationalism and unification.

As for why certain jihadists are escalating their aggression until they cannot be ignored, it’s BECAUSE they’ve been ignored. Those Saudi Muslims who decided to execute 9/11 did so because they’re tired of the Western world sticking its head in the sand on the issue of a Palestinian state. If we fail to differentiate among all the different jihads then we automatically fail on the foreign policy front. Neither of those two jihad actions — Nigeria and 9/11 — are related, yet, as is typical, they both appear in one post as if ALL jihad is identical. The NOUN is identical, the ingredients are not.

You are a misguided if you think that the key issue Islam has with the west is Palestine. Palestine as an issue is a phony one at best – born out of Soviet agitprop of the cold war. The issue with Israel for Muslims is that it is on land formerly conquered by Islam and being infidels, that is a stain on Muslim honor.

The real issue is Islam, it teaches that the entire world must be made to submit to Islam.
There is no Islamic “church” or the equivalent of a “Pope”, so any nut with a gun and Koran gets to decide what he is going to make Jihad against, as long as he keeps with accepted doctrine, he can be as violent as he wishes against infidels or even other Muslims who are not “Islamic” enough.

Technically, you are right 9/11 and Nigeria are not related, as in being directed by the same group – what they have in common is Islamic scripture, and in that they derive from the identical source.

        • Americana

The Palestinian jihad has got NOTHING to do w/the Russians and Soviet agitprop from the Cold War. The regional angst over Palestine began out of the ashes of the Caliphate which was disbanded after the Turks lost WW I having been allies w/the Germans. After WW I’s peace treaty, the region was subsequently carved up among WW I’s victors w/the British getting the vast lion’s share of the region. (If there were no Palestine, it’s strange that the British always referred to the area as Palestine during their time in power there.) When the Zionist push began for a Jewish homeland in Palestine at about this time, this eventual historical impasse was set in motion

You can claim all these jihads are all part of a global jihad w/its eventual aim being world Muslim domination but that’s a very, very strange point of view to take as Osama bin Laden said he was only interested in driving Westerners out of Muslim lands and achieving a homeland for the Palestinians. If a jihadist big wig like him didn’t claim he was after world domination, it’s not terribly likely that is the serious aim of any jihadist. All of the current jihads have SPECIFIC REGIONAL AIMS and they’re not claiming they want to take over the entire world. Sure, there are some imams who are talking about Muslim domination but they’re about as likely to achieve their aim as the Westboro Baptists are to be invited to every veteran’s funeral from now on.

Islamic scripture says lots of things about jihad but when the jihadists lay out specific regional demands, that’s what should be our guiding light in our foreign policy viz that specific jihad. It SHOULD NOT BE the hadiths and the imams talking pie in the sky baloney that should guide our foreign policy beyond a certain point.

You are one of the most ill-informed people I have ever had the displeasure to run into on FPM. Virtually everything you write is utter nonsense. Read the Quran and learn something about Shariah before you comment on it.

          • Hening

I have, and all the murder, slavery, and evil perpetrated in its pages reflect this as a movement to conquer the world by criminals that have cherry picked religions that existed before Islam, mix in some space rocks at Mecca and use terror and darkness to make humanity submit to its twisted demands

          • Americana

The U.S. Military Library has interesting reading on Osama bin Laden. For the sake of getting his 9/11 statement from the horse’s mouth, this is Osama bin Laden’s statement to the American people on why he initiated the 9/11 attacks against the U.S. Whether you agree w/his evaluation of the level of American/Western interference in the Middle East and the supposed cultural degradation we’ve inflicted on Islam (what a crock), it is his justification for the 9/11 attacks:

His stupidity began w/his believing that Islam will prevent this sort of cultural evolution within the Ummah and Muslim lands. Where their cultural blindness will continue to lead the more militant Muslims is a major tactical question. I take heart someone like Malala Yusufsai’s father insisted on her achieving an education and that she herself, despite nearly dying from a Taliban’s bullet, has decided to continue on w/modernizing her life. Sharia is better shattered by people like this because I don’t believe we can do a successful job of it as outsiders.

Online document: the full text of Osama bin Laden’s “letter to the American people”, reported
in today’s Observer. The letter first appeared on the internet in Arabic and has since been translated and circulated by Islamists in Britain.
            Observer.co.uk,
            Sunday 24 November 2002 07.07 EST

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,

“Permission to fight (against disbelievers) is given to those (believers) who are fought against, because they have been wronged and surely, Allah is Able to give them (believers) victory” [Quran 22:39]

“Those who believe, fight in the Cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve, fight in the cause of Taghut (anything worshipped other than Allah e.g. Satan). So fight you against the friends of Satan; ever feeble is indeed the plot of Satan.”[Quran 4:76]

Some American writers have published articles under the title ‘On what basis are we fighting?’ These articles have generated a number of responses, some of which adhered to the truth and were based on Islamic Law, and others which have not. Here we wanted to outline the truth – as an explanation and warning – hoping for Allah’s reward, seeking success and support from Him.

While seeking Allah’s help, we form our reply based on two questions directed at the Americans:

(Q1) Why are we fighting and opposing you?
Q2)What are we calling you to, and what do we want from you?

As for the first question: Why are we fighting and opposing you? The answer is very simple:

            (1) Because you attacked us and continue to attack us.

            a) You attacked us in Palestine:

            (i)
Palestine, which has sunk under military occupation for more than 80 years. The British handed over Palestine, with your help and your support, to the Jews, who have occupied it for more than 50 years; years overflowing with oppression, tyranny, crimes, killing, expulsion, destruction and devastation. The creation and continuation of Israel is one of the greatest crimes, and you are the leaders of its criminals. And of course there is no need to explain and prove the degree of American support for Israel. The creation of Israel is a crime which must be erased. Each and every person whose hands have become polluted in the contribution towards this crime must pay its*price, and pay for it heavily.

(ii) It brings us both laughter and tears to see that
you have not yet tired of repeating your fabricated lies that the Jews have a historical right to Palestine, as it was promised to them in the Torah. Anyone who disputes with them on this alleged fact is accused of anti-semitism. This is one of the most fallacious, widely-circulated fabrications in history. The people of Palestine are pure Arabs and original Semites. It is the Muslims who are the inheritors of Moses (peace be upon him) and the inheritors of the real Torah that has not been changed. Muslims believe in all of the Prophets, including Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon them all. If the followers of Moses have been promised a right to Palestine in the Torah, then the Muslims are the most worthy nation of this.

When the Muslims conquered Palestine and drove out the Romans, Palestine and Jerusalem returned to Islaam, the religion of all the Prophets peace be upon them. Therefore, the call to a historical right to Palestine cannot be raised against the Islamic Ummah that believes in all the Prophets of Allah (peace and blessings be upon them) – and we make no distinction between them.

(iii) The blood pouring out of Palestine must be equally revenged. You must know that the Palestinians do not cry alone; their women are not widowed alone; their sons are not orphaned alone.

            (b) You attacked us in Somalia; you supported the
Russian atrocities against us in Chechnya, the Indian oppression against us in Kashmir, and the Jewish aggression against us in Lebanon.

            (c)
            Under your supervision, consent and orders, the governments of our countries which act as your agents, attack us on a daily basis;

            (i) These governments prevent our people from establishing the Islamic Shariah, using violence and lies to do so.

(ii) These governments give us a taste of humiliation, and places us in a large prison of fear and subdual.

(iii) These governments steal our Ummah’s wealth and sell them to you at a paltry price.

            (iv)
These governments have surrendered to the Jews, and handed them most of Palestine, acknowledging the existence of their state over the dismembered limbs of their own people.

            (v) The removal of these governments is an obligation upon us, and a necessary step to free the Ummah, to make the Shariah the supreme law and to regain Palestine. And our fight against these governments is not separate from out fight against you.

            (d) You steal our wealth and oil at paltry prices
because of you international influence and military threats. This theft is indeed the biggest theft ever witnessed by mankind in the history of the world.

            (e) Your forces occupy our countries; you spread your
military bases throughout them; you corrupt our lands, and you besiege our sanctities, to protect the security of the Jews and to ensure the continuity of your pillage of our treasures.

            (f) You have starved the Muslims of Iraq, where children die every day. It is a wonder that more than 1.5 million Iraqi children have died as a result of your sanctions, and you did not show concern. Yet when 3000 of your people died, the entire world rises and has not yet sat down.

            (g) You have supported the Jews in their idea that Jerusalem is their eternal capital, and agreed to move your embassy there. With your help and under your protection, the Israelis are planning to destroy the Al-Aqsa mosque. Under the protection of your weapons, Sharon entered the Al-Aqsa mosque, to pollute it as a preparation to capture and destroy it.

            (2)
These tragedies and calamities are only a few examples of your oppression and aggression against us. It is commanded by our religion and intellect that the oppressed have a right to return the aggression. Do not await anything from us but Jihad, resistance and revenge. Is it in any way rational to expect that after America has attacked us for more than half a century, that we will then leave her to live in security and peace?!!

            (3) You may then dispute that all the above does not justify aggression against civilians, for crimes they did not commit and offenses in which they did not partake:

            (a) This argument contradicts your continuous repetition that America is the land of freedom, and its leaders in this world. Therefore, the American people are the ones who choose their government by way of their own free will; a choice which stems from their agreement to its policies. Thus the American people have chosen, consented to, and affirmed their support for the Israeli oppression of the Palestinians, the occupation and usurpation of their land, and its continuous killing, torture, punishment and expulsion of the Palestinians. The American people have the ability and choice to refuse the policies of their Government and even to change it if they want.

            (b) The American people are the ones who pay the taxes which fund the planes that bomb us in Afghanistan, the tanks that strike and destroy our homes in Palestine, the armies which occupy our lands in the Arabian Gulf, and the fleets which ensure the blockade of Iraq. These tax dollars are given to Israel for it to continue to attack us and penetrate our lands. So the American people are the ones who fund the attacks against us, and they are the ones who oversee the expenditure of these monies in the way they wish, through their elected candidates.

            (c) Also the American army is part of the American people. It is this very same people who are shamelessly helping the Jews fight against us.

            (d) The American people are the ones who employ both their men and their women in the American Forces which attack us.

            (e) This is why the American people cannot be not innocent of all the crimes committed by the Americans and Jews against us.

            (f)
Allah, the Almighty, legislated the permission and the option to take revenge. Thus, if we are attacked, then we have the right to attack back. Whoever has destroyed our villages and towns, then we have the right to destroy their villages and towns. Whoever has stolen our wealth, then we have the right to destroy their economy. And whoever has killed our civilians, then we have the right to kill theirs.

The American Government and press still refuses to answer the question:

Why did they attack us in New York and Washington?

If Sharon is a man of peace in the eyes of Bush, then we are also men of peace!!! America does not understand the language of manners and principles, so we are addressing it using the language it understands.

(Q2) As for the second question that we want to answer: What are we calling you to, and what do we want from you?

            (1) The first thing that we are calling you to is Islam.

            (a)
The religion of the Unification of God; of freedom from associating partners with Him, and rejection of this; of complete love of Him, the Exalted; of complete submission to His Laws; and of the discarding of all the opinions, orders, theories and religions which contradict with the religion He sent down to His Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Islam is the religion of all the prophets, and makes no distinction between them – peace be upon them all.

It is to this religion that we call you; the seal of all the previous religions. It is the religion of Unification of God, sincerity, the best of manners, righteousness, mercy, honour, purity, and piety. It is the religion of showing kindness to others, establishing justice between them, granting them their rights, and defending the oppressed and the persecuted. It is the religion of enjoining the good and forbidding the evil with the hand, tongue and heart. It is the religion of Jihad in the way of Allah so that Allah’s Word and religion reign Supreme. And it is the religion of unity and agreement on the obedience to Allah, and total equality between all people, without regarding their colour, sex, or language.

            (b)
It is the religion whose book – the Quran – will remained preserved and unchanged, after the other Divine books and messages have been changed. The Quran is the miracle until the Day of Judgment. Allah has challenged anyone to bring a book like the Quran or even ten verses like it.

            (2) The second thing we call you to, is to stop your oppression, lies, immorality and debauchery that has spread among you.

            (a)
We call you to be a people of manners, principles, honour, and purity; to reject the immoral acts of fornication, homosexuality, intoxicants, gambling’s, and trading with interest.

We call you to all of this that you may be freed from that which you have become caught up in; that you may be freed from the deceptive lies that you are a great nation, that your leaders spread amongst you to conceal from you the despicable state to which you have reached.

            (b) It is saddening to tell you that you are the worst civilization witnessed by the history of mankind:

            (i)
You are the nation who, rather than ruling by the Shariah of Allah in its Constitution and Laws, choose to invent your own laws as you will and desire. You separate religion from your policies, contradicting the pure nature which affirms Absolute Authority to the Lord and your Creator. You flee from the embarrassing question posed to you: How is it possible for Allah the Almighty to create His creation, grant them power over all the creatures and land, grant them all the amenities of life, and then deny them that which they are most in need of: knowledge of the laws which govern their lives?

(ii) You are the nation that permits Usury, which has been forbidden by all the religions. Yet you build your economy and investments on Usury. As a result of this, in all its different forms and guises, the Jews have taken control of your economy, through which they have then taken control of your media, and now control all aspects of your life making you their servants and achieving their aims at your expense; precisely what Benjamin Franklin warned you against.

(iii) You are a nation that permits the production, trading and usage of intoxicants. You also permit drugs, and only forbid the trade of them, even though your nation is the largest consumer of them.

(iv) You are a nation that permits acts of immorality, and you consider them to be pillars of personal freedom. You have continued to sink down this abyss from level to level until incest has spread amongst you, in the face of which neither your sense of honour nor your laws object.

Who can forget your President Clinton’s immoral acts committed in the official Oval office? After that you did not even bring him to account, other than that he ‘made a mistake’, after which everything passed with no punishment. Is there a worse kind of event for which your name will go down in history and remembered by nations?

            (v) You are a nation that permits gambling in its all forms. The companies practice this as well, resulting in the investments becoming active and the criminals becoming rich.

            (vi)
You are a nation that exploits women like consumer products or advertising tools calling upon customers to purchase them. You use women to serve passengers, visitors, and strangers to increase your profit margins. You then rant that you support the liberation of women.

            (vii)
You are a nation that practices the trade of sex in all its forms, directly and indirectly. Giant corporations and establishments are established on this, under the name of art, entertainment, tourism and freedom, and other deceptive names you attribute to it.

            (viii)
And because of all this, you have been described in history as a nation that spreads diseases that were unknown to man in the past. Go ahead and boast to the nations of man, that you brought them AIDS as a Satanic American Invention.

(xi) You have destroyed nature with your
industrial waste and gases more than any other nation in history. Despite this, you refuse to sign the Kyoto agreement so that you can secure the profit of your greedy companies and*industries.

            (x)
Your law is the law of the rich and wealthy people, who hold sway in their political parties, and fund their election campaigns with their gifts. Behind them stand the Jews, who control your policies, media and economy.

(xi) That which you are singled out for in the history
of mankind, is that you have used your force to destroy mankind more than any other nation in history; not to defend principles and values, but to hasten to secure your interests and profits. You who dropped a nuclear bomb on Japan, even though Japan was ready to negotiate an end to the war. How many acts of oppression, tyranny and injustice have you carried out, O callers to freedom?

(xii) Let us not forget one of your major characteristics: your duality in both manners and values; your hypocrisy in manners and principles. All*manners, principles and values have two scales: one for you and one for the others.

(a)The freedom and democracy that you call to is for yourselves and for white race only; as for the rest of the world, you impose upon them your monstrous, destructive policies and Governments, which you call the ‘American friends’. Yet you prevent them from establishing democracies. When the Islamic party in Algeria wanted to practice democracy and they won the election, you unleashed your agents in the Algerian army onto them, and to attack them with tanks and guns, to imprison them and torture them – a new lesson from the ‘American book of democracy’!!!

(b)Your policy on prohibiting and forcibly removing weapons of mass destruction to ensure world peace: it only applies to those countries which you do not permit to possess such weapons. As for the countries you consent to, such as Israel, then they are allowed to keep and use such weapons to defend their security. Anyone else who you suspect might be manufacturing or keeping these kinds of weapons, you call them criminals and you take military action against them.

(c)You are the last ones to respect the resolutions and policies of International Law, yet you claim to want to selectively punish anyone else who does the same. Israel has for more than 50 years been pushing UN resolutions and rules against the wall with the full support of America.

(d)As for the war criminals which you censure and form criminal courts for – you shamelessly ask that your own are granted immunity!! However, history will not forget the war crimes that you committed against the Muslims and the rest of the world; those you have killed in Japan, Afghanistan, Somalia, Lebanon and Iraq will remain a shame that you will never be able to escape. It will suffice to remind you of your latest war crimes in Afghanistan, in which densely populated innocent civilian villages were destroyed, bombs were dropped on mosques causing the roof of the mosque to come crashing down on the heads of the Muslims praying inside. You are the ones who broke the agreement with the Mujahideen when they left Qunduz, bombing them in Jangi fort, and killing more than 1,000 of your prisoners through suffocation and thirst. Allah alone knows how many people have died by torture at the hands of you and your agents. Your planes remain in the Afghan skies, looking for anyone remotely suspicious.

(e)You have claimed to be the vanguards of Human
Rights, and your Ministry of Foreign affairs issues annual reports containing statistics of those countries that violate any Human Rights. However, all these things vanished when the Mujahideen hit you, and you then implemented the methods of the same documented governments that you used to curse. In America, you captured thousands the Muslims and Arabs, took them into custody with neither reason, court trial, nor even disclosing their names. You issued newer, harsher laws.

What happens in Guatanamo is a historical embarrassment to America and its values, and it screams into your faces – you hypocrites, “What is the value of your signature on any agreement or treaty?”

            (3) What we call you to thirdly is to take an honest stance with yourselves – and I doubt you will do so – to discover that you are a nation without principles or manners, and that the values and principles to you are something which you merely demand from others, not that which you yourself must adhere to.

            (4) We also advise you to stop supporting Israel, and to end your support of the Indians in Kashmir, the Russians against the Chechens and to also cease supporting the Manila Government against the Muslims in Southern Philippines.

            (5)
We also advise you to pack your luggage and get out of our lands. We desire for your goodness, guidance, and righteousness, so do not force us to send you back as cargo in coffins.

            (6) Sixthly, we call upon you to end your support of the corrupt leaders in our countries. Do not interfere in our politics and method of education. Leave us alone, or else expect us in New York and Washington.

            (7) We also call you to deal with us and interact with us on the basis of mutual interests and benefits, rather than the policies of sub dual, theft and occupation, and not to continue your policy of supporting the Jews because this will result in more disasters for you.

If you fail to respond to all these conditions, then prepare for fight with the Islamic Nation. The Nation of Monotheism, that puts complete trust on Allah and fears none other than Him. The Nation which is addressed by its Quran with the words: “Do you fear them? Allah has more right that you should fear Him if you are believers. Fight against them so that Allah will punish them by your hands and disgrace them and give you victory over them and heal the breasts of believing people. And remove the anger of their (believers’) hearts. Allah accepts the repentance of whom He wills. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.” [Quran9:13-1]

The Nation of honour and respect:

“But honour, power and glory belong to Allah, and to His Messenger (Muhammad- peace be upon him) and to the believers.” [Quran 63:8]

“So do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be*superior ( in victory )if you are indeed (true) believers” [Quran 3:139]

The Nation of Martyrdom; the Nation that desires death more than you desire life:

“Think not of those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead. Nay, they are alive with their Lord, and they are being provided for. They rejoice in what Allah has bestowed upon them from His bounty and rejoice for the sake of those who have not yet joined them, but are left behind (not yet martyred) that on them no fear shall come, nor shall they grieve. They rejoice in a grace and a bounty from Allah, and that Allah will not waste the reward of the believers.” [Quran 3:169-171]

The Nation of victory and success that Allah has promised:

“Its He Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad peace be upon him) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islam), to make it victorious over all other religions even though the Polytheists hate it.” [Quran 61:9]

“Allah has decreed that ‘Verily it is I and My Messengers who shall be victorious.’ Verily Allah is All-Powerful, All-Mighty.” [Quran 58:21]

The Islamic Nation that was able to dismiss and destroy the previous evil Empires like yourself; the Nation that rejects your attacks, wishes to remove your evils, and is prepared to fight you. You are well aware that the Islamic Nation, from the very core of its soul, despises your haughtiness and arrogance.

If the Americans refuse to listen to our advice and the goodness, guidance and righteousness that we call them to, then be aware that you will lose this Crusade Bush began, just like the other previous Crusades in which you were humiliated by the hands of the Mujahideen, fleeing to your home in great silence and
disgrace. If the Americans do not respond, then their fate will be that of the Soviets who fled from Afghanistan to deal with their military defeat, political breakup, ideological downfall, and economic bankruptcy.

This is our message to the Americans, as an answer
to theirs. Do they now know why we fight them and over which form of ignorance, by the permission of Allah, we shall be victorious?

Pretty amazing you claim the West isn’t trying to control what’s happening in the Middle East given our ventures into Iraq and Libya and Afghanistan! Besides, it’s pretty hysterical you’d claim Western armies would be fighting against a BILLION people because quite a few billion of them would never be able to be inducted into an army since they’re too busy being opium farmers or goatherds in remote regions. Sure, EVENTUALLY those opium farmers and goatherds might be able to be made into an army of a BILLION but for right now, there is NO BILLION MAN Muslim army. Our worries are REGIONAL and in those regional jihads we are facing THOUSANDS of fighters, not HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS and certainly not BILLIONS. **Islam is a religion of peace, relatively, or we’d have a far, far larger problem on our hands w/MILLIONS of eager jihadis all over the darn place. I see a limited number of jihadis who just happen to live in an era and in regions where LIMITED MEN and LIMITED ARMAMENTS can do TERRIBLE THINGS.**

Pretty strange that you have the audacity to comment on things you know absolutely nothing about.

The war in Iraq was over Saddam’s constant attempts at acquiring WMDs, which we knew he had already used on Iran, the Kurds, and the Shiites. He was also attempting to get nukes. In addition to his desire for WMDs, he wanted more land, whioch is why we had to hammer him out of Kuwait. He refused to act in accordance with the no-fly zone he agreed to, he attampted to assassinate Bush 41, and he committed acts of genocide using chemical weapons…all of which contributed to taking him out.

The war in Afghanistan was the direct result of 9/11, in case your memory doesn’t go back that far. Comparing it to the debacle of Libya is moronic.

Libya was Obama’s attempt to aid the jihadists, not hinder them. We had a somewhat effective ally against the radical Muslims in Khaddafi, just like we did in Egypt with Musharraf, but Obama insisted on destabilizing both, to the immediate benefit of the Islamists. As I said, to equate these three is the prattle of fools.

Islam is a religion of peace? I can see you’ve never read a word of the Quran. Spare yourself the humilation and quit commenting on this topic. You are clueless.

          • Americana

Deposing Saddam Hussein was NOT done over his NON-EXISTENT WMDs since we knew he’d dismantled his WMD program following the first Gulf War after the Iraqis were beaten back from their invasion of Kuwait. (FYI, Hussein invaded Kuwait for multiple strategic decisions, not just for more land.) That WMD destruction was done under the auspices of and was verified by the United Nations so though Hussein might have thought of resumption of CBW production, it’s illogical to believe he’d have had the balls to attempt to go back into production. Iit’s extremely disingenuous to continue to pretend WMDs were the reason for U.S. intervention in Iraq despite Iraq’s prior use of CBW weapons in the Iran/Iraq War and their use against the Kurds. Even Pres. George Bush isn’t continuing to attempt to sell that lie to the American public any longer though he hasn’t stated his administration’s full rationale for having committed the U.S. to war against Iraq. Logically, Pres. Bush’s decision to go to war against Iraq was taken under the full knowledge of what was coming for the region and hoping against hope that this toehold in the region would carry the situation through to a positive conclusion for the United States. Full stop.

No President would ever attempt to take out another world leader just because of a failed assassination attempt. I think it’s pretty funny people are still trying to sell that whole REVENGE scenario. Just how IRRESPONSIBLE do you think Pres. George Bush was anyway that he’d use the Presidency for a fateful personal decision affecting the entire nation? No, the reality is if Pres. Bush had chosen to revenge his father he would have tried to set up something quite a bit more subtle than a full-scale war. But he didn’t. Because that’s NOT what Presidents do. Certainly in my book, revenge wasn’t even on the list of his rationales for taking on Saddam Hussein.

ALL the Middle Eastern conflicts, regardless of the level and types of American/Western participation, are feeding off the universal turmoil in the region and Western fears over what that means for Western control and access to the Middle East’s oil supply. Libyan leader Moammar Qaddafi’s regime began to be seriously destabilized only after the Iraq War when the Libyan opposition realized they’d have the opportunity to eliminate Qaddafi thanks to the U.S. having troops in Iraq. Qaddafi was just as much a victim of the region’s inflamed political situation as was Saddam Hussein.

The U.S. and the West had backed despots since WW II and the populations of the Middle Eastern countries aren’t having that any more. The Iranian Revolution capitalized on the U.S. having disrupted the Iranian election way back when and installing the Shah of Iran, and that was the beginning of the end of American hegemony over the Middle East’s political situation. It might have taken a few more decades for that mistake to catch up w/us but catch up w/the U.S. it did. The current destabilization throughout the Middle East is not something any American President can hope to fully stop nor fully contain no matter what his policies or tactics. Muslim political groups like the Muslim Brotherhood WERE GUARANTEED to have ended up the WINNERS, at least initially, in any and all of the Middle Eastern upsets regardless of what the U.S. did or didn’t do. The era of American and international control of the Middle East is in decline.

I’ve NEVER EVER said Islam as a religion of peace. But I certainly don’t need to make the totally artificial claim that Islam is setting a course for world domination at this point in time. There are individual jihads in different nations and regions, not a jihad that is aimed at world domination.

      • truebearing

Hogwash. This is precisely the kind of drivel we hear from the Whitehouse and diplomats, all of whom failed before the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. You sound like a typical delusional liberal, always blaming the social circumstances as the genesis of Muslim atrocities and conveniently forgetting that the “social realities” began with the advent of Islam. Read the Quran, dimwit! It’s all right there.

Your childish theories of early Muslim development sound like something from a liberal elementary school teacher in a safe and prosperous suburb. The poor little dears were ignored! Say it ain’t so. They weren’t ignored by the nutjob Imams who taught them to hate and destroy the infidel, but that is too real for you to admit.

Your chimpings on the “real” reason for 9/11 is equally vacuous. Bin Laden wasn’t limiting the focus of his jihad to the palestian ruse. He was declaring war on the West. Palestinian autonomy is only useful to the Muslims if it isn’t resolved, which is wht billions have been spent and nothing has been accomplished. Israel has turned over land only to get attacked again and again, and idiots like yourself think that we aren’t doing enough. The Palestinian leadership won’t acknowledge Israel’s right to exist. Why can’t you get that through your thick head? They are intentionally preventing peace.

There is only one jihad and it is the same one everywhere. Jihad is unique to Islam and it is intended as a violent destruction of the infidel of any religion. You, to put it too kindly, are befuddled and poorly informed.

        • Americana

I didn’t say Osama bin Laden’s sole aim was to facilitate the Palestinian people in the formation of a state. bin Laden also said he wanted the U.S. and other Western nation’s to cease their “interference in Muslim lands.” Whatever the hell that means in all its forms! Palestinian autonomy and the Palestinian jihad HAS NOTHING to do w/what is going on w/the various jihads in Indonesia or in the Philippines or in Malaysia. Once again, you either have to admit the notion of regional jihads within national identities and how that interfaces w/the Muslim ummah or you have to admit there is no international jihad in the sense it’s being presented.

Where did I EVER MENTION ANYTHING about early Muslim development? All I’ve ever said is that the hadiths only have so much to do w/the current political intentions of the regionals jihads since there have been different nations supplanted the past Caliphates. In some regions, they’re attempting to reinstate the Caliphates that were in existence during WW II.

The apologists for Islam finally have had someone step over a red line that the world would not allow the left to sweep under the rug when Boko Haram kidnapped those girls. Apparently the abhorrent decapitation of Daniel Pearl at the hands of practicing Muslims, simply because Pearl was Jewish, wasn’t enough of a red line. Apparently the routine female genitalia mutilation by practicing Muslims wasn’t enough of a red line. Apparently the routine forced marriages, and, if those fall apart, honor killings at the hands of practicing Muslims wasn’t enough. The sad thing is that, even when Boko Haram is put back in its place, the Kerrys and Obamas of the world will declare that that particular blight on Islam has been eradicated and that the true and peaceful religion can continue…beheading infidels, robbing women of the pleasure associated with intimacy, and killing young girls who don’t want to live the rest of their lives under the abusive iron fist of Uncle Omar.

  • ajweberman
  • Americana

Well, there’s obviously a red line if you’re not allowed to point out that these girls were kidnapped for the RANSOM of Boko Haram fighters in captivity. I’ve got no problem w/characterizing aspects of these various jihadists I find abhorrent. The kidnapping and beheading of Daniel Pearl was primitive religio-political theater orchestrated by a man we’ve subsequently captured and interrogated. Was Pearl’s life worth taking Khalid Sheik Mohammed off the jihadist stage because we could tell it was KSM on the beheading video? It was at least profound satisfaction that his own hubris of videoing him doing the beheading served to convict him. I feel for his wife. For her to watch that video and for that to be the last time she saw her husband after weeks of hoping they’d be able to free him was heartbreaking for anyone who knows journalists doing work in dangerous foreign places.

There are red lines and the various jihadist groups have all crossed one or more of them in their respective countries. Those red lines aren’t made more distinct by pooling together all the cultural artifacts of Islam that don’t necessarily apply all over the world. Female genital mutilation applies to portions of Africa and to portions of the Middle East. FGM is not done universally by all Muslims in all countries and has never been a part of American Muslim practice until African Muslim immigrants brought it here. Muslim sexual slavery **is CLASSIC prostitution** in most instances in Western Europe much as it’s being presented as being totally different from prostitution. Honor killings are something that is being gradually fought to extinction despite continuing unabated in India and Pakistan. Those young women who die in the U.K. and Western Europe from honor killings are dying because they are acculturating AWAY FROM THE SHARIA CUSTOMS of strict Islam. Why not recognize that where there is a culture clash, the more liberal behaviour will always win in the end?

  • Americana

I’ll add one more thing in this post. I’m not sure why we are running an editorial dated May 19th and the writer is still presenting this as a Muslim sexual slavery incident. These girls were kidnapped by Boko Haram to serve as bargaining chips to secure the freedom of captured Boko Haram fighters. To pretend that simply because the Boko Haram fighters threatened these girls’ parents w/”selling their girls in the market” was a threat meant to strengthen their bargaining position.

To keep repeating that PERVERSE FACTOID viz these girls makes us out to be idiots. Propaganda tacticians, but idiots nonetheless.

Boko Haram learned from a previous kidnapping experience that it’s helpful to have something to trade, the below is from a CNN story dated May 12th:

(CNN) — The new video released by Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau makes a simple demand: He won’t release the more than 200 schoolgirls his group abducted from a school northern Nigeria “until after you release our brethren.”

The “brethren” he refers to include several hundred Boko Haram fighters, including key commanders, currently held in jails in Nigeria, as well as in Niger and Cameroon.

It is a demand that he has made before, and a demand that, crucially, the Nigerian government has at least once conceded.

Almost exactly a year ago, fighters from Boko Haram entered a dusty town close to the border with Cameroon. They headed for the police station, army barracks and prison buildings. The dawn raid on May 7, 2013, on the town of Bama left more than 100 people dead, including many civilians. The Boko Haram fighters freed about 100 inmates from the prison.

But — little reported at the time — they also abducted about a dozen women and children to use as bargaining chips, according to Jacob Zenn, an analyst with the Jamestown Foundation and long-time observer of Boko Haram.

Days after the Bama raid, Boko Haram’s Shekau appeared in a video that showed the hostages. He warned that if Nigerian security forces “do not release our wives and children, we will not release theirs,” and the hostages would become his “servants,” according to Zenn, who provided CNN a link to the video.

Your excuses for islam is duly noted, if your looking for empathy or sympathy for anything Islamic, I think your finding out that the infidel is rapidly running out of both.

    • Americana

That’s not an excuse. That’s a fact. Boko Haram kidnapped the girls and issued a ransom demand for their own captured fighters. That is a neutral statement of facts.

I’m not looking for empathy and sympathy for Muslims. Foreign policy shouldn’t get decided on the basis of misinformation and disinformation.

Listening to Kerry, you understand the Swift Boat incident several years ago. He is a shallow, condescending snob.

  • truebearing

None of this obscuring of the truth about Islam would work if the media wasn’t 100% complicit. It wouldn’t work if we taught what the Quran really says in our high schools and colleges. None of it could happen if we didn’t have a Muslim president who is doing everything in his power to aid the Muslims in their persecution of Christians, Jews, or any other infidel.

Obama has the means to stop much of the persecution being committed by Muslims today. That he not only refuses to stop it, but enables it, means he has blood on his hands. He is just as morally culpable as any of the great leftist mass murderers of the 20th Century.
