Obama’s Secret Directive Supporting Global Islamism

obama-is-a-terrorist-recent Gulf News report sheds some light on how and why the United States helped bring the Muslim Brotherhood and its Islamist allies to power, followed by all the subsequent chaos and atrocities in the Mideast region.

Large portions of the report follow with my commentary interspersed for added context:

Dubai: For the past decade, two successive US administrations have maintained close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Tunisia, Syria and Libya, to name just the most prominent cases.

The Obama administration conducted an assessment of the Muslim Brotherhood in 2010 and 2011, beginning even before the events known as the “Arab Spring” erupted in Tunisia and in Egypt. The President personally issued Presidential Study Directive 11 (PSD-11) in 2010, ordering an assessment of the Muslim Brotherhood and other “political Islamist” movements, including the ruling AKP in Turkey, ultimately concluding that the United States should shift from its longstanding policy of supporting “stability” in the Middle East and North Africa (that is, support for “stable regimes” even if they were authoritarian), to a policy of backing “moderate” Islamic political movements (italics added for emphasis throughout).

And we have certainly witnessed this shift.  Chaos and the Islamic ascendancy in the Middle East and North Africa never flourished as under the Obama administration—and precisely because the administration shifted from supporting stability under secular-minded autocrats.

The most significant example of this is how the Obama administration threw Hosni Mubarak—a U.S. ally for three decades—under the bus in order to support the Islamists, most specifically the Muslim Brotherhood.  And we saw how that ended—with another revolution, hailed as the largest revolution in human history, with the average Egyptian accusing Obama of being a terrorist supporter.

To this day, PSD-11 remains classified, in part because it reveals an embarrassingly naïve and uninformed view of trends in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region.

“Embarrassingly naïve and uninformed view” is synonymous with the “orthodox and mainstream view pushed forth by Mideast studies professors and academics,” especially those with political influence, such as the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies of Georgetown University, in Washington D.C.  Such programs, which I’m only too well acquainted with, begin with false—that is, “embarrassingly naïve and uninformed”—premises, namely: that the source of all the region’s woes are (formerly) U.S.-propped autocrats (reality is that dictators don’t create such societies but rather are the natural outcome of Islamic societies and are the ones most prone to keeping law and order—compare Iraq under Saddam and Iraq now, as a “democracy,” with “ISIS” proclaiming a caliphate).  Mideast academics have also long spearheaded the idea that there are “moderate” Islamists and “radical” Islamists, and that the U.S. should work with the former (in reality they are all radical—to be an Islamist is to be radical—the only difference is that the “moderate” Islamists don’t wear their radicalism on their sleeves, even as they work toward the same goals that the more open “radicals” work for, namely, a Sharia-enforcing caliphate).

The revelations were made by Al Hewar centre in Washington, DC, which obtained the documents in question.

This too is significant. As Daniel Greenfield writes: “Al-Hewar, which actually got hold of the documents, is linked to the International Institute of Islamic Thought… which is a Muslim Brotherhood front group.  Figures in the Muslim Brotherhood had threatened to leak understandings with Obama Inc. This is the next best thing. It warns Obama that if he tries to forget about them, they can prove that the relationship was official policy.”

To be sure, after the ousting of the Brotherhood in Egypt, several Brotherhood members made, sometimes not so veiled, threats to the Obama administration if it turned its back on them, including top ranking Brotherhood member, Khairat al-Shatter’s son.

Through an ongoing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, thousands of pages of documentation of the US State Department’s dealings with the Muslim Brotherhood are in the process of being declassified and released to the public.

If and when these thousands of pages are released, they should be combed through, as no doubt answers to many of the Obama administration’s hitherto inexplicable policies in the Middle East will be found—to wit:

US State Department documents obtained under the FOIA confirm that the Obama administration maintained frequent contact and ties with the Libyan Muslim Brotherhood. At one point, in April 2012, US officials arranged for the public relations director of the Libyan Muslim Brotherhood, Mohammad Gaair, to come to Washington to speak at a conference on “Islamists in Power” hosted by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

Indeed, despite the administration’s later insistence that it did not favor the Islamists over other parties, anecdotes implying otherwise were constantly on display.  In Egypt alone, U.S. ambassador Anne Patterson, due to her close ties not just to President Morsi, but the Muslim Brotherhood in general, became such a hated figure in the months before last year’s anti-Brotherhood revolution.

A State Department Cable classified “Confidential” report says the following: “Benghazi Meeting With Libyan Muslim Brotherhood: On April 2 [2012] Mission Benghazi met with a senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood steering committee, who will speak at the April 5 Carnegie Endowment ‘Islamist in Power’ conference in Washington, D.C. He described the Muslim Brotherhood’s decision to form a political party as both an opportunity and an obligation in post-revolution Libya after years of operating underground.

These documents on the Obama administration’s connections with the Muslim Brotherhood in Libya are especially disturbing in the context of earlier revelations made in Arabic media, including that the Brotherhood’s Libyan wing was very much involved in the 9/11 Benghazi U.S. consulate attack.

Another State Department paper marked “Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU)” contained talking points for Deputy Secretary of State William Burns’ scheduled July 14, 2012 meeting with Mohammad Sawan, the Muslim Brotherhood leader who was also head of the Brotherhood’s Justice and Construction Party. The document is heavily redacted, but nevertheless provides clear indication of Washington’s sympathies for the emergence of the Muslim Brotherhood as a major political force in the post-Gaddafi Libya. The talking points recommended that Secretary Burns tell Sawan that the US government entities “share your party’s concerns in ensuring that a comprehensive transitional justice process is undertaken to address past violations so that they do not spark new discontent.”

“To address past violations so that they do not spark new discontent” is another way of stating another popular position among Mideast professors, namely that whenever Islamists engage in violence or terrorism, that is proof positive that they have a legitimate grievance, hence the US must “appease” lest it “spark new discontent” (perhaps the true backdrop of Benghazi).

The Burns paper described the Libyan Muslim Brotherhood: “Prior to last year’s revolution, the Muslim Brotherhood was banned for over three decades and its members were fiercely pursued by the Gaddafi regime.

In light of all the chaos the Islamists have been responsible for in Libya, Iraq, Egypt, Syria, et al—is it now obvious why Arab autocrats like Gaddafi, Saddam Hussein, Hosni Mubarak, and currently Bashar Assad have always “banned” and “fiercely pursued” the Brotherhood and its affiliates?

President Barack Hussein Obama seems to have links to the Muslim Brotherhood. When Hillary Ciinton was his Secretary of State, Huma Obedin was her close aide, a women with family ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and Muslim Sisterhood. In addition, President Obama’s half-brother from Kenya is a leader of the Muslim Brotherhood

    • El Cid

I suspect that these family ties and friendships has led him to naively believe that these revolutions will lead to stable governments lead by peaceful, educated, and visionary leaders who have been the underdogs for years.

Obama is so committed to his version of the underdog narrative, that he fails to see that these policies will result in instability and war for many years to come, and that the hostility will come home to roast in the form of domestic terrorism.

      • DB1954

True, but I’m not sure Obozo has an underdog narrative. Looks more like a fantasy narrative.

  • truebearing

The academic idiots live in an ideological echo chamber. They at least have that as an excuse for failing to understand the truth about the Islamists. it is a pathetic excuse, but at least they have one. Obama has nowhere to hide. He gets briefed by the CIA and all of the combined intelligence apparatus on what is happening in the Muslim world. He continues to support the Islamists despite a daily barrage of information that would have any loyal American president taking action against the Islamists, or at bare minimum, not helping them.

The endless reports of church burnings, rapes, kidnapping, murder, and even crucifixions of Christians fall on Obama’s intentionally deaf ears. He is enabling great evil, therefore he is evil, by any definition.

    • reginalduka

Truebearing, I couldn’t agree to all you said. Absolutely true. He has intelligent daily briefings and barrage of information of atrocities perpetrated by the terrorists against Christians in the Middle East.
The endless report of church burnings, abduction, kidnappings, mass rape of Christian women, murder, crucifixion, looting of their businesses, and ethnic cleansing and beheading, yet the outlaw potus, continued to aid the beasts to perpetrate worst terrorists acts on innocent Christians, whose crime is being believers in Christ the Lord Jesus. Instead, Barack Hussein Obama take up cases of homosexuals, in Uganda, or any complaint of discrimination of anyone that is against the Holy Bible, to support them, but ignored worst violence perpetrated by his Muslim brethren all over the middle east and around the world, by finance, arming them, and providing diplomatic and intelligent leverage to facilitate their criminality.
He is truly a very very evil man.

      • Drakken

That is it in a nutshell.

    • Americana

Why is it these sorts of articles never mention the realities of these various revolutions in the Middle East? These social and political eruptions aren’t going to go away just because FPM would like there to be stability under the guidance of predictable Muslim dictators in the Middle East. Neither is there any way for the U.S. to maintain these dictators in power.

There is an ongoing sociological revolution in these Muslim countries that isn’t going to ignore the Muslim political groups. If any other moderate groups organized and came forward that were genuinely moderate Muslims, the U.S. government would most likely choose to embrace them if they had any chance of attaining power and holding on to that power against the very large voting bloc of the Muslim Brotherhood. In the meantime, the pursuit of truly secular populist politicians is ongoing…

      • truebearing

You’re in full blown denial. If the moderates ever did have a chance of controlling the Islamists, it is long since past. The Islamists are in control, as should be obvious to anyone.

        • Americana

I’m not in denial in the least. If there were overwhelming support for jihad, there would be THOUSANDS of American Muslims venturing off to jihads all around the world by now. There AREN’T. There are a few here and there. 100 Somali-American Muslims venturing off to jihad doesn’t make for overwhelming representation of American Muslims offering maximal support for jihad.

          • ObamaYoMoma

You’re a moonbat! There are literally millions of Muslim jihadists in America alone for the purposes of mass Muslim infiltration and for eventual demographic conquest, i.e., non-violent stealth and deceptive jihad. As a matter of fact, there are a crap load more Muslim jihadists living throughout Europe for the same exact reasons. Indeed, non-violent jihad relative to violent jihad is astronomically far more prevalent, and just because you are unaware of it, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

The fact of the matter is all mainstream orthodox Muslims in the world are jihadists in one form or another, either violent or non-violent, as Islam is far more an extremely rabid form of totalitarianism than it is a so-called religion, and non-conformers, i.e., apostates and blasphemers, are simply not tolerated as they are all summarily executed.

          • billobillo54

You are in error and denial. The Pugh Center has calculated that up to 30% of Muslims worldwide support violent jihad to expand Islam. That equals around 300 million people. Also, a majority of Muslims support accommodation and infusion of Islamic law into western societies, while a large number support outright Sharia. Where are tolerance, the rule of law, equality under law, freedom of speech, press, religion, and other basic western human rights practiced in Muslim nations? Muslim nations are ALL authoritarian, violent, repressive to minorities, misogynist, abusive to children, cleptocratic, anti-Jewish, anti-Christian, anti-democratic, anti capitalistic in the true sense of capitalism which promotes and thrives on individual rights and freedom….Jihad does indeed include both violent waging of holy war and more deceptive, subtle “struggle” to implement or impose Islam politically, socially and economically. Once the Muslim becomes a significant minority in the U.S. you will begin to see more and more Jihad here in the U.S. And Americans like you who apologize for Islam (i.e. Nazism) will be a main reason for the devastation.

          • Americana

If you really read much material from the PEW CENTER you’d know the name of the organization…Please look at the numbers in the below link.

            http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Society/2013/0430/Poll-shows-how-US-Muslims-are-like-Protestants-and-how-they-re-not

From this Pew Center link above:

Terrorism. Around the world, most Muslims reject suicide bombing and other attacks against civilians in the name of Islam. Some 81 percent of US Muslims, on one end of the spectrum, say such violence against civilians is never justified, while some say it is either often justified (1 percent) or sometimes justified (7 percent) to defend Islam.

By contrast, substantial minorities among Muslims in several countries say such acts of violence are at least sometimes justified, including 26 percent in Bangladesh, 29 percent in Egypt, 39 percent in Afghanistan, and 40 percent in the Palestinian territories.

          • billobillo54

Thanks for the spelling correction. I do not read Pew Center reports often, but I am familar with severl reports including the one you are citing. Your citations solidly support my statement that around 30% of Muslims WORLDWIDE support violent jihad. So what is your point? Is your pride so immense that you must correct a spelling faux pas? I said nothing of Muslims in the U.S. but since you cited the report let’s look at one of the questions presented by Pew to AMERICAN Muslims:

“Relevant Question Number 1: Can Suicide Bombing of Civilian Targets to Defend Islam be Justified?”

“Here is another important point: This same question was asked of Muslims under the age of 30 (the age group most associated with jihadist activity):

            A: Often/Sometimes: 15%

            A: Rarely: 11%

            A: Don’t know/refuse to answer: 5%?

            A: Never: 69%

26% or 109,200 Muslims in America between 18 and 29 believed that Islamikaze bombings of civilian targets was justified at least in some circumstances.”

            Next question:

“Relevant Question Number 2: What is your view of Al Qaeda?

            A: Favorable: 5%

            A: Somewhat Unfavorable: 10%

            A: Don’t Know/Refuse to Answer: 27%

            A: Very Unfavorable: 58%

Same questions to Muslims under 30:

            A: Favorable: 7%

            A: Somewhat Unfavorable: 16%

            A: Don’t Know/Refuse to Answer: 19%

            A: Very Unfavorable: 58%

70,000 Muslims in America admitted to having a favorable view of Al Qaeda.

29,400 Muslims in America between the ages of 18 and 29 admitted to having a favorable view of Al Qaeda.”
I stand by what I wrote earlier. Muslims are dangerous, supremicist, violent, intolerant, ill disposed to diversity, anti-democratic, authoritarian, oriented toward lawlessness, subversive to western governments and undesirable. You should give up the idea that we can live peacefully with Muslims. We can no more live peacefully with Muslims that you could live peacefully with large numbers of Nazis, Communists, Hindu Thuggs (Hindu assassins who strangle as part of their religious duty to the godess Kali), or Aztecs or any group who at their core foundational beliefs believe that it is their right and duty to subjugatge everyone to their rule and use violence, terror, intimidation, deception and manipulation to achieve their goal. Wake up bro.

          • mhojai

read their barbaric propaganda….it REQUIRES subjugation of “other than muslim” it not only condones but encourages out-and-out lying as a duty…anyone who subscribes to that, in any degree, is a primitive, superstitious barbarian…it doesn’t mean “peace” but “surrender” … to claim it as one’s “religion” is anything but “moderate. We need to, as a society, stop tolerating it as if it is a valid alternative to moral judgments.

          • Drakken

I don’t know if your living in full blown denial, or you want peace so bad that you will pay any price to get it? I think little Miss Americana is at very least a leftist apologist for Islam, and possibly a Muslim troll trying to tamp down the survival instincts of normal people as they face a clear and present threat from the evil of Islam. This is what the Left did in Europe, and now they are doing it here. The Muslims are paying trolls too, and given her odd and wholly inadequate defenses of Islam, I’m beginning to wonder if she isn’t a CAIR troll. Why else would she glue herself to this site and take such abuse? The only place she would get more abuse would be from her nutjob Muslim husband, who treats the family camel better than he does her.

The moderates are the radicals and the radicals are the main stream. As usual, the progressives with the help of the MSM have switched positions in the language.

        • DB1954

          Except in Egypt.

          • billobillo54

Egypt is still an authoritarian, Muslim nation. Christians are still severely persecuted. Jews cannot visit or live in Egypt safely. Sharia is practice everywhere even though it is not sanctioned by the military dictatorship. Islamic voting “democracy” elected a military dictatorship to thwart Obama’s government of choice: The Muslim Brotherhood. The “moderates” (i.e. Muslims who are classic liberals rather than authoritarians) are nowhere to be found in Egyptian government.

          • DB1954

Christians are “severely persecuted” by the al-Sisi government are they? So the MB government treated them much better?

            WTH?

          • billobillo54

You are obviously not paying any attention to the plight of Christians in the Middle East and specifically in Egypt. While al Sisi’s government officially prohibits the persecution of Christians and displays an outward show of tolerance and respect for Christians and is infinitely more benign to Christians that the brutal Obama supported Brotherhood, Christians are severely persecuted in Egypt now, as in every Middle Eastern nation other than Israel.

      • ObamaYoMoma

I think we ought to let Americana vet Muslims to determine which ones are the so-called radicals and which ones are the so-called moderates. I think she would do a fairly good job until she inevitably lost her head.

      • DB1954

Yeah, you’re right: “These social and political eruptions aren’t going to go away just because FPM would like there to be stability under the guidance of predictable Muslims dictators in the Middle East.”

These social and political eruptions will go away only when new secular strongmen like Al-Sisi in Egypt crush the social and political Islamist eruptions.

        • Americana

You’ll note that al Sisi was elected by the Egyptian electorate **after** they’d seen what the Muslim Brotherhood would do in office. I’d hardly say the Egyptian electorate veering toward someone like Gen. al Sisi after experiencing a turncoat Muslim Brotherhood means they’re wanting Pres. Hosni Mubarak back. I think we’ll be quite surprised how the Egyptians react if they’re threatened by ISIS/ISIL now that they’ve seen what ISIS is willing to do.

          • Webb

Totally irrelevant comment in light of our need to take devastating preemptive action against the trouble makers and potential trouble makers.

          • billobillo54

al Sisi and the current Egyptian government is a bad situation replacing a much worse situation. That’s because Islam in any and all forms is completely incompatible with western, classically liberal, tolerant, constitutional, civil and human rights protecting government and culture. Egypt still persecutes Christians and Jews and hates Israel, the only democracy that protects and supports human rights. Muslims in the U.S. in a vast majority will support the subversion of our way of life. They will practice jihad in all of its forms, from the perpetration of violence to the use of intimidation, “taqyya” (i.e. deception), and persuasion while using our freedom and tolerance against us in order to create an intolerant, abusive, supremacist, authoritarian, cleptocratic Islamic society like al Sisi heads in Egypt..

          • DB1954

I don’t think you understand the situation in Egypt now. For one thing, you’ve made no mention of the funds al-Sisi gets from Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The Egyptians would be better off if America restored foreign aid, but Obozo won’t do it. He supported the MB and lost, and al-Sisi is done with the US.

          • billobillo54

It is a fact that Egypt still persecutes Christians. Not to the extent or with the open participation, impetus and collaboration of the central government as was the case under Mursi and the Brotherhood, but the persecution is still widespread throughout Egyptian society. Coptic Christians and other non Muslim sects are worse than second class citizens. Also, no Jew would be safe today in Egypt. Egypt also has a great animosity towards Israel, a trait that is common among virtually all Muslims. Where we differ probably is that you believe that we can deal with Muslim dominated nations and can by doing so secure American national interests. I do no believe this is possible. I do not believe that Islam is a force that can be dealt with other than from an ultimate position of subjugation of the interests of the west and specifically the U.S. to that of the interests of Muslims. Obviously al Sisi is the best of the possible types of rulers that could possibly come from an Islamic nation: a benevolent dictator who opposes outright fundamentalist Islam. We can look at the Shah of Iran, or Mubarak as good examples of what would in the short term be better for the west and the U.S. But look at the results. And, Mr. Ibrahim in this brilliant and insightful article has provided the factual rationale for the ultimate problem with Islam: Islam itself and its supremacist nature. With that said, I fear the integration of so called “moderate” Muslims into the west more than the violence of the “radical, fundamentalist” Muslim in the Middle East, which to be sure is a grave and dangerous threat. The “moderates” all practice stealth jihad and all seek to be obedient and impose Islam everywhere. The “Muslims” who hold classic western ideals of democracy, free markets, tolerance, etc., I do not consider Muslims any more than I consider apostate Protestant “Christians” who support abortion, homosexuality, socialism, higher criticism of the Biblical texts truly Christian.

          • DB1954

Who said anything about Mubarak? Not me. The reason why so many supported al-Sisi’s coup was that the Egyptian army was always popular in Egypt. It was more so under Sadat and Mubarak. That’s because Sadat foreswore making war on Israel. He once said, “The Arabs will fight the Israelis to the last Egyptian.” Sadat was a wise man. Who wants to see their fathers, sons, and brothers once again be slaughtered by the hundreds of thousands in someone else’s war on the Jews? Egypt was always far more cosmopolitan than the dune dwellers to the east.

He was a bad student at Occidental College, smoking pot on a regular basis. He worked for the CIA on an Islamic operative and there has been information to reflect that he even helped FORM the Taliban, which may be why the democrats pinned propaganda on George W. It’s good to see experts start to acknowledge what’s been obvious for so long: Obama has been working to make political islam a world power centered in the Near East and North Africa for Sunnis, and the Islamic Republic of Iran for Shias.

Is he doing this because he’s naive and uninformed about the intentions of the jihadists? I don’t think so. I think he’s naive and well informed. Naive because he thinks a caliphate would be a responsible and deserving world power, and well informed because Valerie Jarrett and his muslim brotherhood advisors have told him exactly what to do to help form an islamic world power.

What do you think, Raymond Ibrahim? Is Obama deliberately helping the jihadis form a caliphate as a world power (super power?) to counter American and Chinese power and influence? (What he would stupidly call dominance.) Or is he just a naif? I’m very interested in what you have to say on the subject.

    • Laura Sanderson

No naivete here. He’s following the play book they gave him in 2007 and if he wasn’t he’d be out of the game.

    • truebearing

Don’t give Obama the out of being naive. He is fully aware of what he’s doing.

    • Bob

YES, Obama is deliberately helping the jihadis form a caliphate as a world power (super power?) to counter American and Chinese power and influence?

      • DB1954

He is deliberately crashing ship America because, like his friend Bill Ayers, he sees America essentially as evil. I don’t think Obama really thinks about China all that much, although the man who financed both of his campaigns for President does. That would be George Soros.

    • nightspore

But it’s not just Obama. The whole damned administration has been acting in concert. If you’re not part of their world, you can’t really understand what a parallel universe it is.

  • panola60

Obama has destabilized the world by shunning every government that was in any way friendly to the United States while helping terrorist groups take over Somalia, Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Syria, Iraq and soon to be Afghanistan, not mention reigniting the Cold War with Russia after 25 years of Peace.

    Obama is ISIS.

    • 95Theses

It all depends on what the meaning of the word ISIS.

      • DB1954

It all depends on what the meaning of the word ISIS is. Does it mean is as in ISIS was or is as in ISIS is?

      • Wolfthatknowsall

        Excellent play on words …

Lets face it the wicked gang up on the righteous. It’s the time in which the wicked are going to be cut off forever. Eternity is forever once that last breath is drawn they will forever be the ones who are torcherd if they do not repent and turn to Jesus. Those who are murdered for Jesus will bask in joy for all eternity. This life is but a moment in comparison to eternity. God’s judgment is here. I hope people turn to him He is a gracious and loving God.

When I studied a Middle East politics in the ’70s (and briefly helped teach it), the field was dominated by Westerners (mostly Christian but with many Jews too). In the aftermath of Edward Said’s Orientalism, we’ve seen an influx of Arabs and Muslims into the field, many foreign born, plus a large number who evince a politically correct post -Orientalism. In the old days they were termed “useful idiots”. As a group they’ve anti-US, anti-Israel, and provide cover for the Arab and Muslim agenda. We follow their advice and counsel at our peril.

  • William James Ward

Obama was raised by Marxists and educated in Muslim schools and
went forward in Chicago in gangster fashion politics. As a sociopathic
liar and hater of America, Christians and Jews this fiendish man can
be framed by his actions, all of which attack Christianity, Americans,
Jews and free people everywhere. He supports Jihad wherever it is
in progress and his connections are all anti-American and anti-Israeli.
If Satan had a son he would be Obama and just may be……….William

I think we should focus our attention on Hillary Clinton and her connection with close friend and confidant, Huma Abedin. Clinton is currently the assumed successor to Obama’s Whiltehouse. We need to work aggressively to assure that her political aspirations are destroyed, now and forever.

      • William James Ward

Both are Marxists using Islamists to destabilize and
destroy the Nation while making themselves and cronies
rich. Militate against them at every opportunity.

The Muslim Brotherhood seems to already be pulling the strings of our “puppet government”. “Brotherhood members made, sometimes not so veiled, threats to the Obama administration if it turned its back on them…”

Is there even a shred of doubt that the pretender HATES AMERICA AND WHAT IT STANDS FOR? If his traitorous policies are not reversed, and soon, America will curse the day his name was ever heard. God Bless America and Save Us From the Plague of Obama!

  • Lanna

The Middle East is becoming a Caliphate, all enabled by the global leader Obama, and then the Clintons as well, there is no difference…they will continue the plan to promote Islam.

    • DB1954

Well probably yes. But Hillary has her own reasons apart from Bill’s. For one, she and Huma will announce their engagement which will follow the divorce and her first election as President in Nov. 2016. Bill says he’s down with that plan. He’s already got some hot chicks lined up for the party.

Islam itself is an expansionist, totalitarian ideology wrapped within a facade of religion.

There are no ‘moderate’ and ‘radical’ Muslims. But there are ‘cafeteria’ Muslims and devout Muslims. Devout Muslims follow Islam’s theological imperatives and seek global dominance. Cafeteria Muslims (primarily male) individually pick and choose which Islamic tenets they follow, as the society within which they live allows. The more Islamic the society, the less ‘moderation’ Muslims are permitted.

Cafeteria Muslims promote the idea to the West that Islam is a religion of peace as a measure of self-defense. Cafeteria Muslims are unwilling to face the truth of their ‘religion’. Lying to non-Muslims is necessary to maintain their own denial of what they condone by remaining Muslim.

Devout Muslims practicing stealth jihad promote the idea to the West that Islam is a “religion of peace” as a measure of self-defense. Misdirection and deceit lie at the heart of war and Islam is and always will be at war with non-Muslims. It is a fundamental Islamic tenet, a theological imperative for every Muslim and Allah’s commandment upon every Muslim to engage in jihad. That’s NOT an opinion, that’s what the Qur’an; Allah’s direct words… unequivocally proclaim.

The Saudi’s promote the idea to the West that Islam is a religion of peace as a measure of self-defense against Western retaliation and against their own devout jihadists. The Saudi’s engage in stealth jihad to keep their own devout jihadists appeased.

The Saudi’s have heavily invested in America’s University system, funding Islamic studies departments. The academics hired to work in these departments are selected for politically correct attitudes toward Islam. These are the ‘academics’ advising our Federal government and have done so since Bush I… These academics, as apologists for Islam, promote the view that Islamic jihad is a reaction to Western aggression.

Given the Obama administration’s predilection for appeasement, they proved fertile ground for the Islamic academic’s assurance that ‘moderate’ elements in the ME would dominate if ever given the chance. Thus the ‘Arab Spring’.

Ironically, the Bush I, Clinton, Bush II and Obama administrations left and right, have all been played for fools by the Saudis.

All of our deference toward the Saudis and Muslims centers upon two factors; one pragmatic and the other moral. The pragmatic consideration is our civilization’s dependence upon oil. The moral factor is the West’s impulse toward appeasement. Appeasement being the result of moral cowardice.

Our civilization’s dependence upon oil is easily resolved with fracking, increased, conventional oil exploration and research into thorium nuclear reactors. All of these are opposed by the Left. Nor, even under Republican administrations, does the political leverage exist to implement these strategic technologies.

The West’s moral cowardice is the result of centuries of attack upon Western society’s self-esteem. Colonial ‘transgressions’, dominance through the right of conquest, all practiced by all are only denounced when the West engages in them. Since Marx, the left has been at war with Western societies.

The West is under attack by Islam’s agents but it is the Western Left which is preventing any effective reaction to that attack.

    Main thesis of article:
    - militaristic, oppressive, autocratic SECULAR dictatorships — good.
    - equally oppressive, theocratic ISLAMIC dictatorships — bad.

    Got it.

Obama is going to hand over the USA to the muslim brotherhood.

    • DB1954

      Well, he may try.

What is the point in saying: “I refuse to deal with these terrorists.”? Sooner or later they all have to sit round the table and talk sense and moderate their demands. It is far better to do it sooner than later.

I don’t see the west’s manoeuvring of disparate forces — that would once have been ‘enemies’ — in order to deal with a crisis as a bad strategy. They’ll screw up of course, these mandarins. They always do.

    • Drakken

War one way or another is coming and sitting around a table singing kumbaya ain’t happening, no matter how much wishful thinking you do. There is no negotiating with Islamic jihad, you killem all and let allah sortem out.

    • DB1954

“Sooner or later they all have to sit round the table and talk sense and moderate their demands.”

… they have to talk sense and moderate their demands … ? Excuse me, but they don’t HAVE to do anything. Religious fanatics who have already proven their willingness and capacity to slaughter millions will do as they please.

    • Randy Rogers

You are indeed naive if you believe this nonsense. Do you know what blowback is?

      • BagLady

Too succinct for me, old chap. What is nonsense? What is naive?

  • MarilynA

The Democrats record of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is nothing new. Jimmy Carter not only turned against the Shah of Iran and aided and abetted the radical Islamist Ayatollah in taking over Iran. One of the first things he did was order all our CIA agents who were working with foreign governments to repel Communist Insurgent attacks to change sides and work with the communist insurgents. The head CIA agent in Rhodesia reported that when he refused and resigned from the CIA and went to work for the Rhodesian government our government put a price on his head. Note that after the Insurgents took over, changed Rhodesia’s name to Zimbabwe, and installed an all black Government, they began a campaign of white genocide which wiped out Rhodesia’s lucrative farming industry by redistributing the once fertile land to indolent squatters who had no interest in working, and turned a prosperous country, once known as the breadbasket of Africa, into a basket case. That was Jimmy Carter’s legacy along with 21% inflation and decimation of our military in this country. Our country was almost a basket case when Ronald Reagan took over. How I miss Reagan. Even Reagan with Alzheimer’s would be better than what we have now.

Ever wonder why Hernio and Americana and Baglady are so nutty? Here it is: “As
he grows old, the narcissist often becomes the target of constant derision and
mockery, a sorry sight indeed.” From, I Love To Be Hated – The Masochistic
    Narcissist http://samvak.tripod.com/narci
The book is titled, The Malignant Narcissist.
They popped up on FPM to be tormenters, and in return they get
constant derision and mockery, yet keep coming back for more. They have to have
it, and they’re magnets for it. That’s why so many commenters have identified a
mental illness in them. They’re incurable. Now it all makes sense. Americana labors under the delusion that she’s a writer, and Hernio fancies himself to be a professor. Baggy is just an insane scold.

  • Warren Raymond

“Embarrassingly naïve and uninformed view” — wish it were so. But I don’t believe Obama is naive or uninformed. It was all very deliberate, pre-determined.

  • Brad Scott

Irony is, apparently, not a strong suit here. You have an article castigating Obama for not supporting secular totalitarian regimes in the mideast alongside the tagline “Inside every liberal is a totalitarian screaming to get out.”

So… is that a good thing, or a bad thing? Because on this one page you are both supporting and rebuking secular totalitarianism.

    • Randy Rogers

The secular totalitarian regimes Obama destabilized and helped overthrow in multiple so-called Arab Spring operations were far preferable to what replaced them – the hyper religous Islamic caliphate governments that violently suppress anything non-Islam. Maybe you prefer beheading or certifying Christians to a stable regime that kept these radicals in check? Naive or uninformed? Not hardly!
