U.S. Courts Islamic Terrorists to ‘Support People of Egypt’

obama-is-a-terrorist-On March 14, in a meeting with foreign journalists in Washington, D.C., deputy spokesperson of the U.S. State Department Marie Harf confirmed, once again, that the United States is in “communication” with the Muslim Brotherhood but denied that this means it supports the Islamist organization.  The exchange follows:

QUESTION: Okay. The second question is: The State Department has recently said that it is in constant contact with the Muslim Brotherhood, as with the other political groups, you see?

MS. HARF: Mm-hmm, yes.

QUESTION: So do you think that these contacts have any effect on the United States relations with Egypt? And are these just mere contacts or support? Because this is very important for the Egyptian public opinion. Thanks.

MS. HARF: Well, they’re contacts, and let’s just – I’ll put it in a little context here. We think it’s important to have contacts with all the parties in Egypt, because all the parties in Egypt ultimately are going to need to be a part of Egypt’s future, and that we want to help them be a part of that future and move Egypt out of the situation it’s in today. So we think this is important to do. Do we always agree, do they always agree with what we’re saying? Of course not. But we believe it’s important to have the dialogue.

We don’t support one party or one group or one person. So when we’re talking about elections, when – I know there’s a lot of conspiracy theories about us supporting the Muslim Brotherhood or supporting the military or – there’s a lot. They can’t all be true, right? Because they’re mutually exclusive. But we don’t support one group. We support the process. We support the people of Egypt who make up these parties – right – as they are trying to determine how to get Egypt back on a better path.

One wonders: if the Obama administration does not “support one party or one group or one person,” why did it try to urge the Egyptian people in general, the Christian Copts in particular, not to protest against former president Muhammad Morsi (“one person”) and his increasingly oppressive Muslim Brotherhood (“one party”)?

Conversely, if the Obama administration is supportive of “the people of Egypt” in general, where was it when the Muslim Brotherhood and their supporters were terrorizing Egypt, and continue to do so—including by burning and destroying over 80 Christian churches? But when millions of Egyptians protested against the increasingly oppressive Morsi/Brotherhood government, leading to their ousting, it was then that the Obama administration reacted by reducing aid to Egypt.

Indeed, in regards to Harf’s claims that “We support the people of Egypt,” the other day an Egyptian TV commentator summed up mainstream Egyptian opinion as follows:

Harf yesterday confirmed that her nation is in communication with the Muslim Brotherhood but denied that this means it supports them.  They’re just in contact—you know, “checking up” on each other.  She said that the United States is in contact with all political parties in Egypt.  In reality, they [Brotherhood] are no longer “political parties.” They are “terrorist parties.”  She stressed that they do not support any particular person or political party, adding “we support the people of Egypt.”  Apparently that explains why they stopped their aid and support?  They “support the people of Egypt,” even as the Egyptian people cannot stand the Muslim Brotherhood, has rejected them, and is rejoicing because the government finally designated them as a terrorist organization.  So this is the sort of “support” Mary Harf offers to the Egyptian people—that the United States is in contact with a terrorist organization.  Regarding a “conspiracy” between the U.S. and the Brotherhood, she said this cannot be true, adding that they only “support the people of Egypt as they are trying to determine how to get Egypt back on a better path.”  What’s it to you?  If we want a democracy, a dictatorship, or just to stay as we are—we’re free to do so.  I really don’t understand this idea whereby they [Obama administration] always show up saying “we support democracy” in the Arab world, and yet here is the result of their support: every nation they have put their nose in, they destroyed it.

Sure the 0bama administration supports the people of Egypt – not all of them, just the Moslem Brotherhood. It’s like how the left claim popular support. They are not in fact claiming anything like majority support. By a common definition of popular (“of the people”), if they have the support of even a handful of people (as the left often do), that is support of the people. Not many of them, but people nevertheless.

So, basically, what the 0bama administration is doing, is lying by other means. Almost certainly, they have contacts with all the parties. Castro had contacts with Che Guevara , for example. And with the Soviets. Contact is subjective.

The 0bama administration are, indeed, transparent. All you need to do to see through them, is to be extremely cynical and suspicious. You’re not being paranoid if they’re really out to get you.

their “support of the people”,translates to “the people who count, our MB friends, and all radical Islamics”.

Sure the 0bama management facilitates the individuals of The red sea – not all of them, just the Moslem Brotherhood. It’s like how the remaining declare well-known assistance. They are not actually declaring anything like greater part assistance. By a typical meaning of well-known (“of the people”), if they have the assistance of even a few individuals (as the remaining often do), that is assistance of the individuals. Not many of them, but individuals nevertheless.

There once was a woman named Harf
Whose statements induced me to Barf
    Her insane lack of clarity
    Was met with hilarity
Because her brain was squeezed by a head scarf

    • UCSPanther

      Real tight rhyming there.

    • BagLady

Scarf would have been better. You spoiled it with the “head”.

Fortunately Egyptians are having none of it and all of this is merely driving them away from a US sphere into the arms of Putin.

One time that would have spelled disaster, now I’m not so sure.

Obama has the rest of his term to wreak destruction and it looks like full steam ahead for this abomination of a president.

  • NJK

I was enraged just reading this. They support the terrorist organization, and they see the lies as well as we do. I’m enraged at those that have allowed this lying, treasonous bunch to stay in our govt. Hear that, John Boehner, you and the rest are complicit in this.

I keep hoping an Egyptian or Ukrainian, crosses the border, illegally of course, and gets Obama. I believe the Egyptian govt. that he is himself a member of the MB.

  • SDLakeshore

There is no legit MB party in Egypt. The MB have been banned and Egypt asked our State Dept. to add them to the FTO list, which was of course, refused. Saudi Arabia just came out and banned the MB there as well. Just watched my BS meter crack the glass.

    • kikorikid

Apparently the Egyptian Govt. just sentenced 529
Muslim Brotherhood members to DEATH. Good start.

      • USARetired

They need to add Obama and is kin to the list!

  • SoCalMike

US State Dept officials and the Obama Admin supporting and courting the Brotherhood in Egypt deserve a horsewhipping,
What traitors and sell outs. Treason runs through their veins.

  • Burkasrugly

Obama wants us to negotiate with people who look at beheading as a sport. The guy in this picture looks like one of those hunters you see in the newspaper with the deer he just bagged. Disgusting!! And they give these yahoos welfare!

The entire situation makes more sense when you factor into the equation Vladimir Putin. The parties that are against the Muslim Brotherhood are all allied with Putin, who would be the big winner if they defeat the Muslim Brotherhood. Now, one may wonder why that is such a problem…and here is why: natural gas. If forces backed by Russia win, they would effectively cut off western Europe from cheap natural gas…and in the winter, weaken the US position because Europe would have to choose between supporting America and keeping its citizens warm…in a one-or-the-other scenario. That factors into the aid reduction to prevent American dollars from flowing into Russian coffers.

The world is a tangled web and things are not always as simple as they seem. Ask yourself this question: if the alternative is a Middle East dominated by Russia, would you support the Muslim Brotherhood as a strange bedfellow in this round (then worry about defeating them later with your own allies)? If not, what alternative plan do you have for defeating the Brotherhood and repelling Russia’s influence?

Over 35 million Egyptian Citizens marched and protested against an elected but very corrupt and savagely brutal so called Government. To prevent a civil war, the Army stepped in to restore civil order.
To a normal person, that was a sensible move. The people did not want a Government deeply involved with a world wide terrorism, who were intent on destroying Tourism and anything that involved the West, the lively hood of most Egyptians. And worst of all, they wanted to instil a Caliph.

So what does this current Admin do and keeps doing?
    The unthinkable, that’s what!

    • http://www.facebook.com/aemoreira81 aemoreira81

It’s not unthinkable when you realize that their wishes result in a bigger threat to the USA than the Muslim Brotherhood would ever be…in Russia. You do say “normal person”, but do normal people think outside of the box? To understand why Obama’s position is defensible even when it doesn’t seem so, you have to think outside of the box. Now, this all could change if those 35M Egyptian citizens back a pro-Western government instead of a pro-Russia government,

If Egypt’s new government decides to ally with Russia instead of the West, the USA is morally required to depose such a government and have a pro-American person at the ready to succeed them.

it’s the same thing Comrade Obama did with Honduras.
Same thing he did with Iran, during it’s Green Revolution.
Comrade Obama always supports the “bad” side.

  • T800

Comrade Obama IS an Islamic terrorist. an inside agent. There’s a reason why,post-college,Comrade Hussein traveled to Pakistan,of all places. it’s not because he was a Christian. There’s a reason why Comrade Hussein was aided in getting into college by Saudi money and influence.

  • PAthena

See Michelle Bachmann on the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Obama administration.
President Barack Obama may well be a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. His half-brother from Kenya is a leader of the Muslim Brotherhood. His former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had as her close aide, Huma Abedin, whose family are Muslim Brotherhood and Sisterhood.

  • BagLady

Well Mr Ibrahim, I am pleased you are not a High Court Judge with your guilty verdict brought while the jury is still out.

Before writing your thoughts I know you must do a fair bit of research. You must therefore be aware of the many conflicting accounts of the Muslim/Christian animosity and, like me, wonder why this suddenly arose after peaceful co-habitation.

It is true, the Muslim Brotherhood was banned under Mubarak’s reign and resurfaced only after he had gone. The Arab Spring had been so badly organised by the idealistic, democratically minded young students, that they fell hook line and sinker for the Military soft coup. The only reason Morsi won the election was because the opposition was unthinkable. However, he won it fair and square.

I see you make no mention of the 500 or so Muslim Brotherhood who have been sentenced to death after a trial lasting all of two days. Bit extreme, don’t you think?

I should imagine all Western governments are in touch with the various parties, given this outrageous travesty of justice.
