NA-PETRAEUSAfter the American-forced cease-fire, which caused the death of two Israeli soldiers, and saw one kidnapping, media reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu advised the White House that the Obama administration should not “ever second guess me again” regarding Hamas.  Netanyahu further noted that he should be “trusted” on the nature of Hamas, and demanded that the United States now support Israel in Gaza.

Obama will not support Israel – but perhaps from a Public Relations standpoint, Netanyahu will score some points. The United States pressured Israel – and now that the cease-fire has been broken by Hamas, resulting in death the consequences from America will be exactly and precisely… zero.  None. Nothing. Nada.  Sort of like the red line in Syria. Obama is impotent – and Israel must act. Laughingly, Obama condemned “outrageous” violations of a cease-fire, and demanded the release of the kidnapped Israeli soldier. Perhaps there will be a harsh twitter campaign from the state department?

America’s pressure has been despicable. In 2014, John Kerry tried blackmailing and bullying, claiming, “[F]or Israel there is an increasing de-legitimization campaign that has been building up. People are very sensitive to it, there is talk of boycott and other kinds of things. Are we all going to be better with all of that?” His blackmail failed – although Obama pushed a boycott of Israel’s airport recently by closing down the International airport. In November 2013, Kerry encouraged Arab violence against Israel when he asked, “I mean, does Israel want a third intifada?” As Israel is attacked by terrorists daily, America pressures Israel.  Israel must not and will not give in to terror.

As Danny Danon, an Israeli Knesset Member said this week, “We need a ceasefire from the attacks coming from Obama and the government in Washington. Just as the US fought with determination against the Taliban, we must continue hitting Hamas and destroying the infrastructure of terror. We need to withstand the pressure on us and worry about the interests of the State of Israel.”

History is being repeated. America condemned Israel in 1981 when they destroyed the Iraqi nuclear reactor “Osirak.”  As history later showed, Israel destroying the reactors was in America’s best interest.  Today, too must Israel resist American pressure – for the sake of Israel and America. Crushing extremist terrorists is in the best interest of the Western world.

In 1981, Prime Minister Menachem Begin wrote a note to the American President, which stated in part that “You have no moral right to preach to us about civilian casualties. We have read the history of World War Two and we know what happened to civilians when you took action against an enemy. We have also read the history of the Vietnam War and your phrase ‘body-count.’ We always make efforts to avoid hitting civilian populations, but sometimes it is unavoidable – as was the case in our bombing of the PLO headquarters. We sometimes risk the lives of our soldiers to avoid civilian casualties.” Every single word remains relevant today.

Begin continued in stating, “Are we a vassal state of yours? Are we a banana republic? Are we youths of fourteen who, if they don’t behave properly, are slapped across the fingers? Let me tell you who this government is composed of. It is composed of people whose lives were spent in resistance, in fighting and in suffering. You will not frighten us with ‘punishments.’ He who threatens us will find us deaf to his threats. We are only prepared to listen to rational arguments.”

“The people of Israel has lived 3,700 years without a memorandum of understanding with America – and it will continue to live for another 3,700.” “Our forefathers went to the stake rather than ‘rescind’ their faith. We are not going to the stake. Thank God. We have enough strength to defend our independence and to defend our rights.”

A sane American foreign policy would dictate that crushing terrorists who hate the West is in their best interest.

Israel need a permanent “Goodby” from Obama and Kerry.

    • meanpeoplesuck

That would be great! Then we could have the $3 billion we give annually so they can kill children and spend it fixing our country! After we defund this madness, the UN can revoke their status as a country and go in and govern justly. If ever there was a good use of executive orders, this would be it.

Israel should keep in mind that the attacks from O and K, however vicious, are really just spitballs. They lack any substance. When Obambi wags his finger and tells Bibi his military actions were “outrageous” Bibi should remember that it means about as much as when O wags his finger at Hamas and tells them to bring back a captured soldier (who turned out to be dead). O is impotent. Nothing he says matters. Conservatives in Congress will make sure that nothing he wants gets passed. Ignore the petulant nagging of these two nitwits. Notice how when O is bashing Republicans to a crowd of supporters, his voice gets very high — almost to a squeak and then he gives a silly giggle and says in his fake folksy voice:: “Imagine! These folks want to sue me for doin’ mah job! Go figure!” He just ends up looking pathetic. He never looks powerful. He never looks scary. He never looks like a leader.

I know that PM Bibi Netanyahu has been criticized harshly by conservatives, at times, including on this message board, for not being tough enough but I never lost faith in his ability to run circles around the clueless Obama.

Kerry like Obama do not stand with allies and undermine efforts to secure safe borders from invading terrorism. We need a new POTUS and Sec State very fast. 2016 cannot come soon enough. Jan 20, 2017, Ahhh
