When I visited Israel in the summer of 2012 and the American Presidential campaign was in full swing, my group met with an anonymous source who told us that the highest levels of the Netanyahu government, possibly including the Prime Minister himself, considered an Obama victory to be “a nightmarish scenario” for the Jewish State. Now, that nightmare has become a reality.

The P5 + 1 reached an interim agreement last week with the Iranian government, whose leader Khameini recently said, “Zionist officials cannot be called humans, they are like animals, some of them…the Israeli regime is doomed to failure and annihilation.” This deal will not dismantle Iran’s nuclear weapons program, and will only slow down its race to the bomb by a couple months, according to most estimates, as the Mullah’s will maintain their capability to enrich uranium. In return, the Iranians are getting major sanctions relief in the form of at least $13 billion now available to them. The tough sanctions regime, which took decades of tough diplomacy to build up, will now be shattered.

The Mullah’s in Iran are rejoicing. Iranian President Rouhani has proclaimed: “The results of these talks is that the 5+1…have officially recognized Iran’s nuclear rights… the right to enrich [uranium] on Iranian soil is the right of the Iranian nation, and everyone can interpret it as they wish… The text states explicitly that Iran will continue to enrich [uranium], and for this reason I say to the Iranian nation that the uranium enrichment activity in Iran will continue as in the past… In this six-month agreement, our [uranium enrichment] facilities at Natanz, Fordo, the Arak [plutonium reactor], [the uranium conversion facility at] Isfahan, and Bandar Abbas [i.e. the Bushehr reactor] will continue their activity.” Supreme Leader Khameini added, “The absolute achievements of this initial agreement are official recognition of Iran’s nuclear rights, and preservation of the nuclear achievements of the sons of this nation.” It has just come to light that Iran is planning to construct a second nuclear reactor in the province of Bushehr.

Former ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton calls this deal an “abject surrender” for the United States. Wall Street Journal writer Bret Stephens calls it, “Worse Than Munich.” Prime Minister Netanyahu calls it “an historic mistake…this agreement has made the world a much more dangerous place.” Naftali Bennett, Chairman of the Jewish Home Party in Israel warns, “If a nuclear suitcase blows up five years from now in New York or Madrid, it will be because of the deal signed this morning.” Even Israeli left-leaning Tzipi Livni said, “This is a terrible deal that will threaten not only us [Israel], but the entire world.” At ZOA, we believe this deal is our eras “Munich” and Obama and Kerry the new “Chamberlain.”

It is important to note that an Iranian nuclear weapon is not just a threat to Israel, but to the United States and the rest of the world. U.S. intelligence states Iran will have ICBMs (Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles) that can reach our homeland by 2015. Furthermore, Iran already has operational missile sites in Venezuela, virtually in the United State’s backyard.

For those of us who are politically sober and realistic, we saw this day coming, the capitulation of America to Iran. The Obama administration has proven time and again that it is not serious about preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. As ZOA National President Mortot Klein stated: “President Obama has not laid down any red lines beyond which the U.S. will not permit Iran to advance in its quest for nuclear weapons. This open-ended policy suggests that there is in fact no point at which President Obama would act militarily to stop Iran developing a weapon. Such suspicions can only be compounded by President Obama’s recent failure to act militarily on a red line that he actually did lay down, that is, the use of chemical or biological weapons by Syria against its own people.”

There are many Jewish and pro-Israel groups who are expressing dismay at the Iranian nuclear deal, but frankly, they are a little late to the party. The ZOA has been warning about this administration’s weakness for years.

Where were the myriad Jewish and pro-Israel organizations when the President chose notorious Israel hater and proponent of containing Iran, Chuck Hagel, to be Secretary of Defense? After all, Hagel’s selection, and subsequent confirmation by the Senate, and the Jewish communities general apathy, laid the groundwork for America’s appeasement of the Mullahs in Iran last week. The overwhelming silence of the Jewish community at the Hagel pick gave tacit approval to his anti-Israel, pro-containment views on Iran, which gave the administration an opening to pursue the disastrous deal reached last week.

Secretary of State John Kerry still maintains that there is “no daylight” between the United States and Israel. Who is he kidding?

In light of last week’s news, American Jews should ask themselves if the Jewish and pro-Israel groups they belong to are truly serving their interests.

Since being elected to power in Gaza in 2006, Hamas has also not held any elections). Though well intentioned, OneVoice is an organization that makes peace harder to attain by not addressing the root causes of the Arab war against Israel.

OneVoice is now on a West Coast campus tour. Its programs are supposed to be balanced, consisting of three presenters; one Palestinian Arab who speaks about the Palestinian Arab perspective; one Israeli who speaks about the Israeli perspective; and one American who initiates the discussion and gives an overview of the “conflict.” However, in reality the program is far from balanced.

At San Jose State University, the Palestinian Arab gave a one-sided presentation about how the Palestinian Arabs are victims of Israeli occupation and oppression, as expected; the Israeli gave a somewhat even-handed talk, though omitted many significant details; and the American–who is supposed to be the unbiased one–gave an anti-Israel talk. Not exactly neutral.

Here are some highlights:

In her overview of the conflict, the first thing the American representative mentioned was the “military occupation in the West Bank for the last 47 years,” and how the Israelis keep building settlements which are confiscating Palestinian Arab land. Listening to her talk, one would think the “conflict” started in 1967, which, of course, is not true. She mentioned nothing about the massacres of Jews in Jerusalem and Hebron years before Israel even became a state in 1948. She did not mention that the Palestinian Arabs, after declining the United Nation’s plan for a two-state solution in 1947, joined the surrounding Arab countries in their attack of the nascent Jewish State, promising to push the Jews into the sea.

When discussing the second intifada, the American representative only mentioned that it means “uprising” in Arabic, and that it was comprised of “violence on both sides.” This is a gross mischaracterization of the second intifada, which in reality was a terrorist war against Israel, initiated by Yasser Arafat, and comprised of Palestinians blowing up innocent Israeli civilians, while Israel engaged in self-defense. She did not mention how the second Intifada was preceded by a generous offer of peace from Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, including 95% of the West Bank with agreed upon land swaps, all of Gaza, and Eastern Jerusalem as the Palestinian capital. She also failed to mention that Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia called Yasser Arafat’s decline of this offer, “a crime against the Palestinians.”

Finally, in a breathtaking omission, the American spoke about the Israeli blockade of Gaza without ever offering the justification for the blockade, which includes Israel’s attempt to stem the outbreak of rockets being fired by Hamas.

The Israelis talk was more reality-based, but still did not mention any of the above points. He did speak about the Jewish refugees from Muslim lands after the 1948 war, as well as how Israel does not consider the Palestinian “right of return’’ a realistic demand. He did speak about the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza in 2005 leading to rockets raining down on Israeli cities. However, when speaking about the 1947 U.N. partition plan, which would have created a Palestinian State, he omitted that the Palestinian Arabs refused, while Israel agreed. He simply states that the plan failed and led to war. And he only described the second intifada as a “reaction” to Israeli “occupation,” nothing else.

The words “Hamas” or “terrorism” were not mentioned by anyone, including the Israeli, until the question and answer period. This was unbelievable. Not mentioning Palestinian Arab terrorism when speaking about the “Arab-Israeli conflict” is like not mentioning the Nazis when speaking about World War II.

The event was not a total failure, as pro-Israel representatives were there, including myself, with the intent of injecting some reality into the conversation during the question and answer period. I asked why the presentation included such an extensive discussion of Israeli “occupation” and settlement activity as causes of the conflict, without mentioning anything about Palestinian Arab incitement to violence and glorification of terrorism. In answering my question, the American woman claimed that incitement to violence was negligible in Palestinian society and that incitement against Palestinians is also happening in Israel. This is a whitewashing of Palestinian hate, vitriol and incitement against Jews, of which there is no comparison in Israel. The Israeli answered that they are not here to place blame on anyone, but simply to find a solution. I could not disagree more with this view, as only by first, properly assessing blame, can we identify who is at fault, and who and what must change for there to be peace.

As a follow up, another pro-Israel representative spoke more about Palestinian incitement against Israel, and then asked if the Palestinian would condemn Hamas for its commitment to killing Jews in its charter. In an eye-opening instance of candor, the Palestinian representative said, “Hamas is a part of Palestinian society, a part of our national fabric…we don’t see Hamas as a problem anymore…Hamas is committed to the two state solution.”

Surprising facts about the Jewish State that your tour guide won't tell you.

I recently returned home from an unforgettable, two-week trip to Israel with the Young Jewish Conservatives. While there we spoke to members of the Israeli Knesset and Foreign Ministry, and traveled to parts of Israel—such as Hebron and Sderot—that most American groups never get to see because they are either politically incorrect or dangerous.

Here are 7 fascinating things I learned there that are worth sharing:

1.) I had the opportunity to visit the headquarters of “Save a Child’s Heart,” an Israeli medical charity that performs pediatric heart surgery for non-Jewish children in desperate need of help, free of charge. Since its inception in 1995, the organization has literally saved the lives of 3,000 non-Jewish children, 50% of whom came from Gaza, the West Bank and Iraq.

When I heard these statistics I could not believe it. I asked a worker there if this amazing organization helps the image of Israel in the Palestinian territories, as “Save a Child’s Heart” certainly assists many families who despise the Jewish State. She responded: “We hope so.”

2.) There are two UN refugee agencies in the world: First is the United Nations Relief and Works Administrations (UNRWA) for 5 million Palestinian refugees (which includes the descendants of the original 500,000 Palestinian refugees from the Israeli War of Independence) which employs 30,000 workers. The UNRWA has resettled no Palestinians.

The second refugee agency is the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), which assists every other refugee in the world–including 100 million displaced people during the last 50 years–and employs 7,000 people. The UNHCR has resettled tens of millions of refugees.

Looking at these numbers, one would think that the cause of the Palestinians is some how morally superior to that of all other war refugees. After all, why have so many more workers been assisting a dramatically smaller group of people? But if the Palestinians are unique it is only because of their moral inferiority, as they are the only group of refugees that regularly commit acts of terrorism against innocent civilians.

Another obvious question: why hasn’t the UNRWA resettled any of the Palestinian refugees? The answer, of course, is that the surrounding Arab states would rather have these refugees remain a thorn in Israel’s side, than help them start a new life. The UNRWA is happy to oblige.

3.) A couple interesting facts about the political right in Israel:

There are many on the Israeli political right who do not value the American-Israel relationship, and think it causes more harm than good (they are not big fans of AIPAC). And they are not just talking about the Obama era. Many of them, including Moshe Feiglin (Netanyahu’s political rival in Likud), think that America attaches too many strings to its support; they think that America routinely coerces Israel into making one-sided concessions; and they think that Israel needs to become independent of America, and more self-reliant in the international arena. In fact, Mr. Feiglin told us that he does not care if Romney or Obama wins the election, as Israel can take care of itself. Many of us in the YJC challenged his opinion, but to no avail.

Another interesting dynamic in Israeli politics was relayed to us by Gil Hoffman, the Chief Political Correspondent of the Jerusalem post. He told us that there are also many on the right in Israel who actually want President Obama to be re-elected because he has proven himself to be a failure with regard to the peace process, and they are therefore confident Israel will not relinquish any land as long as he is president. Conversely, they fear that Netanyahu would trust a President Romney, which could accelerate the peace process, eventually leading to Israeli concessions. Mr. Hoffman told us, “There is no peace process because of the President of the United States.” For this reason, many on the Israeli left are worried Obama will win re-election.

A new initiative seeks to fight fire with fire.

With Israel’s vast military supremacy over its enemies—including Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran—the only effective weapon these Israel-haters currently have is the delegitimization of the Jewish State. This delegitimization campaign, which seeks to isolate Israel as a unique menace in the world, utilizes the media, world bodies such as the U.N., professors and entertainers, and complicit “peace activists” to tarnish Israel’s image and reputation. This campaign makes Israel out to be the aggressor and the obstacle to peace, in contrast to the poor Palestinians who just want their land back.

Perhaps it is no surprise then that Israel’s borders have been relatively quiet during the last couple years, as Hamas and Hezbollah are happy to let this worldwide public relations campaign—buttressed by the political left—play out. After all, why waste valuable resources and suicide bombers, when you can rely on Western “pro-peace” organizations and “useful idiots” to chip away at Israel bit by bit, to the point where the country is coerced into making one-sided concessions that embolden its genocidal enemies?

Left-wing, self-proclaimed “pro-Israel, pro-peace” organizations such as J-Street and Americans for Peace Now, are unintentional accomplices to this cultural war against Israel, by placing most of the blame for the conflict on Israeli “settlements.” But blaming the Israeli “settlements” for the Israel/Palestinian conflict is like blaming Britain’s fire bombing of Dresden for World War II.

The Israeli “occupation” started 20 years after the failed genocidal war against Israel in 1948. The building of the “settlements” was initiated after the “Six Day War” of 1967, in an attempt to buffer the heart of Israel from its war-hungry enemies. The “settlements” are not the cause of the conflict, but rather a consequence of it.

Picking up on this false narrative, organizations such as “Big Campaign” are spearheading a Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign, which seeks to destroy Israel economically. Many popular entertainers, such as the Pixies, have cancelled their performances in Israel because of pressure from these anti-Israel hate groups.

Macy Grey had this to say before her performance in Israel: “I’m getting a lot of letters from activists urging/begging me to boycott by NOT performing.” She decided to perform, but other acts, such as U2, Coldplay and Bruce Springsteen, are simply refusing invitations to perform in Israel, in order to avoid aggravation from the Israel haters.

Key lessons not taught in universities.

The left lives in a bubble full to the brim with self-righteousness and notions of grandeur. They see themselves as the tolerant, compassionate, intelligent ones, as opposed to those mean, greedy, stupid conservatives. In an attempt to reel these leftists back to reality, here are a few things every liberal should be reminded of:

1.) Che Guevara is not cool. In fact, he was a sadistic mass murderer, who killed in the name of Communism—arguably the worst ideology ever to be inflicted on the human race, along with Nazism, which killed about 100 million people in the 20th century. Death and murder gave Che such a thrill that he had a stone slab removed from his office so he could personally witness the firing squads outside.

But, for some reason, Che Guevara is idolized by the Left. Naive college students wear t-shirts with his face imprinted on them, and admire him for being a “man of the people.” University of California, San Diego named its student café, “Che Café.” Much of Hollywood adores him, as is evident by Steven Soderbergh’s biopic, “Che,” starring Benicio del Toro, which portrays the Communist thug in a very pleasant light. This left-wing admiration of an anti-American, murdering Communist is repulsive.

2.) The Left treated George W. Bush much worse than the Right is treating Obama. This is just a friendly reminder to those who think the Right is mean-spirited. Yes, of course there are many on the Right who personally hate Obama and say cruel things about him. But nothing the Right has said about Obama even compares to the hate and vitriol directed at George W. Bush for 8 years.

Do you remember the constant death threats against George W. Bush? Do you remember the signs that read: “Hang Bush For War Crimes,” “Bush Is the Disease, Death Is the Cure,” “Bush Is the Only Dope Worth Shooting” and “Death to Extremist Christian Terrorist Pig-Bush” (for more of the “tolerant” Left, click here). Do you remember those who burned Bush in effigy? Now, do you recall the signs at Tea Parties calling for Obama’s death? Didn’t think so.

Imagine what would happen if one person at a Tea Party rally carried a sign like those above about Obama. What would happen if a person at a Tea Party burned President Obama in effigy? Every single major newspaper in America would run a front-page story about it, condemning the Tea Party, and by extension the Republicans, for condoning incitement and racism. The Democrats would hold hearings on Capitol Hill about the fomenting of hate and violence by the Right. The double standard and hypocrisy of the left is laughable.

3.) Conservatives give more money to charity than liberals. Sorry to burst your bubble, my young, idealistic, liberal friends, but it’s true. And it’s not because conservatives have more money than liberal, because they don’t.

Check out these statistics from a Syracuse University study:

Although liberal families’ incomes average 6 percent higher than those of conservative families, conservative-headed households give, on average, 30 percent more to charity than the average liberal-headed household ($1,600 per year vs. $1,227).

– Conservatives also donate more time and give more blood.

– Residents of the states that voted for John Kerry in 2004 gave smaller percentages of their incomes to charity than did residents of states that voted for George Bush.

– Bush carried 24 of the 25 states where charitable giving was above average.

– In the 10 reddest states, in which Bush got more than 60 percent majorities, the average percentage of personal income donated to charity was 3.5. Residents of the bluest states, which gave Bush less than 40 percent, donated just 1.9 percent.

This discredits the argument that “conservatives are greedy, rich people who don’t care about the poor,” doesn’t it?

The reason conservatives get labeled as uncaring and greedy is because they do not think that an ever-expanding government is the best way to help the needy. Therefore, conservatives are against tax hikes, spending increases and other measures that grant the government more power. This principle of limiting the size of government should not be confused with greed and apathy for the poor, as the statistics above definitively prove.

Is the GOP underestimating Obama?

In an eyebrow-raising move ahead of his address to AIPAC and meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu next week, President Obama told The Atlantic Friday that the American military threat against Iran is not a bluff. He may be telling the truth.

For, if Obama is anything, he is a brilliant politician. Therefore, it is not outside the realm of possibilities that he orders the American military to strike Iranian nuclear facilities before the election. Why not? It’s good policy, and it’s even better politics.

Consider: With regard to the anti-war left, it is likely activists would put up a small fuss for a couple weeks, but nothing more, as Obama could justify the attack to them as preventing a second holocaust, and by pointing out that no occupation would be taking place.

More importantly, one of the repeated criticisms of the president — and rightfully so — has been that he is not a stalwart friend of Israel. Republicans, and even Democrats such as Alan Dershowitz, have been very critical of Obama’s dealings with Israel and the Palestinians, and as a result his support in the Jewish community has suffered. However, could you imagine how quickly a strike on Iran would alter this narrative? Much of the Jewish community may very well rally around the president, and he would stand to cement at least 80% of their vote, as he did in 2008, improving his chances for victory in the key battle-state of Florida. Obama would be hailed as pro-Israel for subduing this existential threat against the Jewish state.

You think Obama doesn’t know this?

If the economy takes another dip, and Obama’s poll numbers decrease as the election draws near, an American strike on Iran may become increasingly more likely. The economy would take a back seat, and best of all for him, the Republicans would have no choice but to praise the president for taking this bold step to defend America and our ally, Israel. Even if the economy began to rebound, a strike on Iran would make sense politically for Obama, as it would remove foreign policy criticism from the Republican playbook.

With the Republican nominees for president harping on Obama’s weakness with Iran for several months now, an American strike on Iran may be politically advantageous. Mitt Romney, who recently declared that “if we re-elect Barack Obama, Iran will get nuclear weapons” but “if you elect me as president, Iran will not have a nuclear weapon,” would have a major talking point taken away from him. Likewise for Newt Gingrich, who has said that “Obama is the most dangerous President in modern American history” with regard to foreign policy, and that “he is incapable of defending the United States.”

If Obama were to strike Iran, any debate about him being a weak foreign policy president would immediately be quieted. He would enter the presidential debates with a firm foreign policy record and as a defender of America, with the Republican nominee looking sheepish and out-of-touch in his criticism.

What would the "On Liberty" author think of the uprisings in the Middle East?

Are freedom and democracy good things for the Middle East? What would John Stuart Mill, one of the most prominent proponents of liberty in the history of the world, have said about the “Arab Spring”? The answers to these questions may surprise you. In his landmark work “On Liberty,” Mill meticulously delineates his ideas about liberty. He writes that freedom is good because of its “utility” and its ability to enable a better life for the most people. He argues that people must have freedom of thought, opinion and expression, in order for society to prosper.

In his book, Mill discusses particular instances wherein the authorities can exert their will and control over an individual or society. For Mill, the individual is totally sovereign concerning his own body, and therefore, cannot be reprimanded for harming oneself. However, one’s liberty can be restricted in order to “prevent harm to others.” This is known as the harm principle.

Also, according to Mill, children should not have sovereign control over their own faculties, and thus can be coerced and controlled, for their own betterment. And finally, Mill explains the last circumstance under which an individual does not deserve freedom:

[For backward states, the] early difficulties in the way of spontaneous progress are so great, that there is seldom any choice of means for overcoming them…Despotism is a legitimate mode of government in dealing with barbarians, provided the end be their improvement, and the means justified by actually effecting that end. Liberty, as a principle, has no application to any state of things anterior to the time when mankind have become capable of being improved by free and equal discussion.

Is the Middle East comprised of backward states? Can Egypt be improved by free and equal discussion? Are Egypt and countries in the Middle East in the middle of revolutions really capable of practicing democracy, or are they better off under despotism of the variety Mill describes?

According to Rick Moran of The American Thinker:

[A 2010] Pew survey found wide streams of opinion in Egypt that seem at the very least inhospitable to democracy. When asked which side they would take in a struggle between “groups who want to modernize the country [and] Islamic fundamentalists,” 59 percent of Egyptians picked the fundamentalists, while 27 percent picked the modernizers. In a country in which the army will likely play a deciding role in selecting the next political leadership, just 32 percent believe in civilian control of the military. And a majority, 54 percent, support making segregation of men and women in the workplace the law throughout Egypt. There’s more. When asked whether suicide bombing can ever be justified, 54 percent said yes (although most believe such occasions are “rare”) Eighty-two percent supported stoning for those who commit adultery.

Does this seem like a country ready to elect its own representatives?

We have already witnessed the disaster of the Palestinians in their quest for Democracy; wherein Hamas was elected to power, and has been at war with Israel ever since.

The Hamas charter reads:

Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it…Our struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious.

Palestinian Television constantly airs anti-Semitic vitriol, wherein Jews have been compared to the AIDS virus.

In Lebanon, the terrorist organization Hezbollah has received significant support from the electorate in recent elections.

Which political perspective is responsible for disaffection of young Jews?

Many young Jews in America have unfortunately been indoctrinated by a leftist anti-Israel sentiment, which has corroded their minds. David Suissa of the Jewish Journal has written about Gabriel Mathew Schivone, a Jewish student at the University of Arizona, who has grown apathetic with Israel. Schivone wrote in Haaretz that he “simply cannot sit idle while my country aids and abets Israel’s siege, occupation and repression of the Palestinians.” He continues, “I am one of a growing number of young American Jews who are determined to shake off an assumed — and largely imposed — association with Israel.” How sad is this? If you had to bet your life on whether Schivone is politically liberal or conservative, what would you guess?

In 2008, the students at Brandeis University declined commemorating the 60th anniversary of Israel. In addition, when Frank Luntz held focus groups at American universities to probe the lack of interest in Israel among young Jews, he found that they “desperately want peace” and felt Israel was not doing enough to accomplish this goal. As if Israel — which has unilaterally withdrawn from land conquered in defensive wars by forcefully removing Jewish citizens from their homes — does not want peace. Do you think these Jews at Brandeis and other universities, who are irritated with the pesky Jewish state that dares to defend itself against annihilation, are Republicans or Democrats?

These young people, brainwashed by the left, naively look at peace as if it’s some tangible, easily accessible thing that Israel just refuses to accept. But history actually teaches us that peace is often achieved through war. History also teaches us that it is a virtue to fight evil. Furthermore, fighting evil is the most basic form of self-preservation.

Everyone knows that Israel is currently threatened by terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Hezbollah — both supported by the virulently anti-Israel Iranian regime. But what many do not know is that Israel is also under attack in a cultural war which seeks to destroy her by way of boycotts and divestments. The freest state in the Middle East is under attack from “peace activists,” pro-Palestinian organizations, professors and others who seek to starve Israel economically. But perhaps the most troubling trend in recent months is the popular entertainers who are refusing to perform in the only Jewish country in the world.

Roger Waters, former front man of Pink Floyd and one of the most critically acclaimed artists of all-time, has formally joined the BDS campaign against Israel. In an open letter a few days ago he wrote:

“For me it means declaring my intention to stand in solidarity, not only with the people of Palestine, but also with the many thousands of Israelis who disagree with their governments racist and colonial policies, by joining a campaign of Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel, until it satisfies three basic human rights demanded in international law. 1. Ending its occupation and colonization of all Arab lands [occupied since 1967] and dismantling the Wall; 2. Recognizing the fundamental rights of the Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel to full equality; and 3. Respecting, protecting and promoting the rights of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated in UN resolution 194.”

It is important to note Mr. Waters’ third demand, the right of return, which would demographically destroy Israel and transform it into another Muslim-dominated country in the Middle-East (just what the world needs!)

Among other things, this is what is instructed by the BDS Campaign that Roger Waters has joined:

“Individual consumers can show their opposition to Israel’s project by participating in a consumer boycott of Israeli goods and services.”

Does Mr. Waters genuinely advocate this sentiment? Does Mr. Waters know that Israel is one of the world’s most technologically advanced countries in the world, churning out medical advances at a rapid pace? Israeli scientists created the first computerized, diagnostic instrument for breast cancer without radiation. Israeli medical technicians also developed an ingestible video camera–tiny enough to fit in a pill–to observe the small intestine. This medical breakthrough assists doctors in diagnosing cancer and digestive disorders.

Israeli citizens are involved in numerous other medical innovations that are improving the quality of life on earth. Does Mr. Waters encourage his fellow musicians and citizens to not utilize these lifesaving technologies? Of course he does not. Therefore, he is a hypocrite, plain and simple.

Other artists, including The Pixies, Elvis Costello and the Gorillaz, to my knowledge have not formally joined the BDS campaign like Waters, but nonetheless have canceled their performances in Israel. Elvis Costello claimed his “conscience” wouldn’t allow him to perform in Israel. The Gorillaz, in a genuinely hypocritical move, performed in Syria — a country that supports terrorism — just a few weeks after canceling their gig in Israel.

I would like to ask these musicians: Do you support America’s war in Iraq? (Of course, they do not.) Then why don’t you refuse to play in America? The obvious answer is they cannot afford to boycott America or they would be out of business. So basically, they can boycott tiny Israel–the only country in the world constantly threatened with annihilation from racist, genocidal armies–because it won’t negatively affect their income. How Courageous!

These artists think they are engaged in a great noble and moral crusade. But they are not. These artists think they are being courageous by boycotting Israel. But they are not. These musicians are cowards, hypocrites and moral idiots as they are shunning the only country in the Middle East that grants Arabs freedom and opportunity. The truth of the matter is that these musicians are only boycotting Israel because it’s a chic leftist cause and it makes them feel good about themselves.
